I missed the last several weeks of this conversation... didn't realize it was so active here. I notice that there's a web based wallet now; are there any benefits the web based wallet has over desktop? I thought I read that it'll auto-stake coins, but I can't seem to find that. I mostly ask because my coins in my wallet have yet to stake since the drop last week.

We have 3th party web wallet Chinese people can use it's also staking wallet http://onionwallet.org/China people should use for desktop app, any VPN which supports Tor connections this is quite a solution but for example russian government got everyday updating list of banned resources + 3rd party remains 3rd party. |

After more than a week of staking, I finnaly found a stake. But it was only 0,90 onions?
Isn't it supposed to be 10% of your wallet that you get?
It is 10% for a full year if I understood that correctly. So you only get a small share of that. For the 10% you ll have to let it run for the whole year. So how would that 10% interest distributed to our wallet? Do I need to open the wallet and let it run in order to get that 10%. Or I can just open it after one year and magically that 10% will be added to my wallet? lol The idea behind the PoS working is that leaving the wallet open and unlocked for staking adds more nodes to the TOR network. More nodes on the network means a better degree of anonymity for it's users. If your wallet is not open and staking then you're not supporting the network. 1. If you're not supporting the network, then you're not going to be rewarded.If I oversimplified it, or made an error, I am sure someone will let me know, but that is as I understand and describe it . You could also look at it like this : You have a line of credit at a bank, it charges you 18% interest APR (annual percentage rate). 2. That equals out to 1.5% * 12 months = 18%. So in DeepONIONs case, unless I have misunderstood, it's 10% over the course of a year, and not based on the highest quantity of Onions you hold in your wallet for that time, but, most likely compounded or calculated at each block, where a traditional bank would compound it daily. 1. does the several wallets with the same address running on a different IP's produce more staking? 2. no, 18 apr isn't the same as 1.5 % * 12 months. just for the record. |

Very interesting question. Take a look at the speed of building up the community here. The price or higher should be hittable. It will be 10 Cents at least. The total supply is 21Million. Someone who was renting hash a while back estimated that it cost him 8-10 cents per onion. I can't see anyone with common sense dumping their airdrop for pennies like that. The coin has a low supply, this isn't one of those coins with 1 billion tokens in circulation. All these analysis are great but will this work in the actual sense because there are other price determinant forces that shall have both positive and negative effect on the price of Onions, i shall also appreciate to sell mine for $0.8 each. In the market there are two fools, one sells, the other buys: D If it is serious, many factors are priced in the market. Who is the very first to receive coins on the stock exchange and who will fix the price, will put 0.01btc, and the price will decrease from 0.01btc, you will become 0.000001btc, and the price will decrease From 0.000001btc. So there must be support for developers or interested investors who they could redeem for the first time coins when there are first days of sales. And it all depends on how much they can invest! P.s. If I'm alone in the market I will put a price of 0.1, and will buy! But it does not happen, those who have no patience will come.
