3601  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How to get our money back from Bitmine.Farm/Bitmain.farm scammer/fraud website on: October 26, 2020, 05:35:48 AM
Is it really possible to get back your money that was scammed? Pretty skedtchy in my opinion. You also should format your report based on the given format in the sticky topic to detail your encounter a bit better and to make the readers understand what is what and what they should avoid. There is no evidence that proves that they are scamming someone which makes your report not credible.
3602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 26, 2020, 03:39:30 AM
I am not that much a fan of roulette but based on what I have learned before, roulette will not provide a decent chance of winning for both the house and the gambler. It's the outcome will basically be based on luck for both so the main goal in roulette is to be aware to your bets in a way that you should choose which has the higher odds of winning. It varies depending on the roulette itself as not each of it has the same mechanism, it is up to you to examine and not rush things. I am not saying that we should be good at probability and statistics but sometimes, we can feel that a bet is good if we look closer to the odds.
It favors the house pretty much, like any other games in casinos(except for blackjack) have a high house edge. Luck does play  a role, but that is given because any gambling requires some kind of luck.

Their economy will get hit in coming year as slowly many countries are looking for alternates to China and in coming years, they will also find it. So this means demand of Chinese products will gradually start to decline and only the consumption of the China people and few export somewhere would happen. Thus, economy of country will suffer in such scenario.
If the trend of foreign companies switching their factories/production facilities from other countries that offer the same services as Chinese workers, it definitely can happen. I disagree when it comes to decline of Chinese products, yes the workforce will be hit but they have products that will surely not be affected by the downtrend in companies switching from other countries for production. They have the biggest tech companies in the world and agriculturally speaking, I think they will not lose.
3604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People's goal should shifting, specially if you are financially responsible on: October 26, 2020, 02:05:19 AM
~snip~

It has been a good time to invest, it might not be nowm

Lumping all your assets I to one place is still financially irresponsible. Unless you're wanting to gamble with a lot of your funds, it doesn't really make sense to me to put more than 50% into crypto. You'll still be making good gains and have a hedge just in case something problematic comes along.
That is my overall goal to be financially stable. I need to have a lot of investments in different assets because that is the most optimal way to make sure that a constant and decent cashflow keeps me afloat.
3605  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam OTC groups on: October 25, 2020, 09:16:17 AM
What is their modus operandi? I believe that your list is credible but you need to make sure that you detail how they operate. I do not know much how this works and hopefully if you can provide then you will not just help me but also other newbies who will see this post. Anyway good catch.
3606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 25, 2020, 07:37:19 AM
I don't think this is justifiable, at least not in the case of pandemic! The same governments created the entire mess with their actions (locking down, forcing people to stay home...) and now they wish to make money on someone else's back?!
Maybe I live in fucked-up country where I developed my distrust to any kind of government, and I know that tax money is not going back to the people and developing of the country, it goes straight in the pockets of powerful! Just to be clear about one thing, I am not against the tax if it's used in the right way, but if the tax is the robbery than I can't support that!
My statement was generalized, and I can sympathize with you because the corruption is prevalent here in my country too (Well, most third-world country are corrupt anyway). If the government is not corrupt then I think that imposing taxes on gambling online or physical is a good thing. The sad thing is no matter how much we disagree with the government in regards to taxes, they will still do any means necessary because they are the biggest corporations in the nation, veiled by the pretense of running the country.
3607  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: October 25, 2020, 06:00:34 AM
First of all, I would like to point out that applications such as these usually do not provide much return and do not meet the value of your time.  Especially since the applications that you will use for free generally collect data purposes, I do not recommend using them very much.  Still, the final decision is up to you, so I recommend you choose the applications you use carefully.
That is what most apps here in my country tends to do. They even have referral system which is a euphemism for pyramid scheme. Yes you can earn a bit of cash but the time that is used to generate the amount is not worth wasting on it. I do not find the appeal of this money making apps and that is my opinion. If it works for you then good for you but always be careful.
3608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: buy low sell high? (I'm a noob) on: October 25, 2020, 04:55:16 AM
My advice is you don't have to select too many coins. Perhaps, you can try to focus on bitcoin because bitcoin will have the potential to make a profit. Although you will feel difficult to buy low and sell high, you can expect to make a profit in the long term. It is no problem if you can't sell bitcoin right away after buying it because the price will increase a few days later.

So if you can focus on analyzing the good time to enter the market, you will find the low price to buy, and then you can hold it until the price starts. You don't need to panic if the bitcoin price is down because that will be only temporary. Sometimes, the increase in the price will be so high that you can make a big profit. Just be patient.
Thank you for this advice, I am saving money so I can trade too. But isn't this advice  counters the advice of diversifying your portfolio so you can earn a profit when one coin dipped.
3609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more important bitcoin or fiat? on: October 25, 2020, 04:04:28 AM
With the current climate of bitcoin when it comes to mass adoption, I will side with Fiat for now. Bitcoin prices has risen yes, but remember that this is not it's all time high. It is still volatile and in practicality terms, you will not use it that much. What I mean by that is that there are few businesses in my country that uses bitcoin as a purchasing agent. I am leaning more on its potential as an investment rather than as a mode of payment. The reason that I chose fiat is that it correlates its value with the growth of the country, and my country is in balance so purchasing power is a good thing for fiat.
3610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin for tasks ? on: October 24, 2020, 04:01:06 PM
It's pretty simple. If you have skills in programming, web design, video editing, etc, then simply look for someone that will hire you that will pay you with bitcoin. Done. Remember that bitcoin is money, and it's pretty much no different than a typical job or gig, it's just that they'd pay you with bitcoin rather than with your local currency. There's no secrets or special methods for this.
Pretty solid advice in the quote above and I am backing it up with some tips for you and other newbies out there who will read this. When you are doing a freellancing online, always ask for a downpayment if possible, especially if the time you consume in that freelance work is not worth wasting. Many people will heckle you to put down a low price but that will be dangerous because you will end up burn out with not enough to continue freelancing, aim for the median price so a balance between customer satisfaction and your satisfaction will be achieved. Signature campaigns are a good alternative too, if you have the rank though.
3611  Economy / Economics / Re: Lend at Hodl Hodl: True P2P Bitcoin lending is here on: October 24, 2020, 01:01:53 PM
asides the collateral what is the interest rate of the lend? If there are provisions similar to Defi, state them and other factor why it could be preferable to ethereum. Most defi project might have to provide enough information to prove that stake fund will be safe and there wont be exit scam whatsoever from the team. The other challenge is the transaction fee and speed of transaction
That is what I am thinking of, there should be interest to keep this service afloat. The problem with that is they need to find the sweet spot of interest rate that is not painstaking to the lenders but still profitable for the lenders. One other problem is the KYC-lessness of this services, there will be people who will make a run for their money no matter how much is the collateral, how can they solve that issue.
3612  Other / Meta / Re: Where is my merits? on: October 24, 2020, 11:09:31 AM
Not disrespecting veteran members of the forum but I think that they are keeping this guy here so they can watch a trainwreck. OP has been posting topics that either can intrigue you if you can read between the lines of the incorrigible and grammatically unfathomable threads OP started or quote the words of someone who can understand OP's post and make your post there. Seriously, begging for merits is an indication of behavior that you are not dedicated to the forum.
3613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just a Question... on: October 24, 2020, 10:02:43 AM
They don't have telegram communities maybe because it's not effective to use this platform for their gambling promotions. And they use discord because most gamblers prefer to use it compare to the telegram.  I think these are one of the reason why they don't prefer Telegram.
With the current standing of Telegram and it seems they double down in not caring at all that they are a cesspool of scammers. Discord is not that saint but at the very least scams are not prevalent there. Discord is also a gaming chat room so they are a little more immerse than Telegram.
3614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 24, 2020, 08:51:17 AM
It's what governments do, first they don't care, when they see how much money is in circulation they will create a set of laws to take their share (or in some cases to take the entire control). It's a force and you can't argue with the force!
I think it's hard to talk about this in general, there're too many countries and every country will create their own rules! Soft or hard rules and regulations, it's yet to be seen, but it will be different for many of us! I doubt we will have some universal rules that can be applied to all the countries at the same time!
Their actions in regards to this is justifiable in my opinion. Tax is the lifeline of the government so it is reasonable that they want their piece of the pie. Contrary to popular belief, some laws from country are inspired by other country's law. If the country believes that it benefits more people when they pass the same law as that country then why not. The problem is that it gets muddled by the internal structure of a certain government by adding or removing some clauses.
3615  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC and escrow scam atempt on: October 24, 2020, 07:34:18 AM
Congrats on not falling for this scam. You are not newbie in a sense because you know what you are doing. To all newbies out there, this is an exemplary on what to do before doing any online transaction. Cheers! For the failed attempt to scam you.
3616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 24, 2020, 06:42:04 AM
First of all, you created this thread on 13 October and I replied to you on 20 October. So you haven't replied to anyone here "a long time ago". It's a short time.
I said everything about evolution gaming in more details than anyone here and believe me, I have very high competence in it.
Also, I do not care <-- sounds rude cause I'm not t spamming your thread and instead try to help and give you a detailed answer to have an overall image around this task.
Again, if you provide me with posts here that say the same things that I said (double-check my post), then red tag me.
I replied two times already about how I already knew of it already. The first two pages of thread already gave the clarification that I need. Why the fuck would I red tag you? Do I look like I want drama, dude chill. I thought this thread is dead because haven't seen it in a long time in the first page of the discussion. I am sorry if that sounded rude which it really is. I replied about it on the page 4 of this thread.

Why put up the issue of spamming when you aren't spamming in the first place? Chill dude.

To end this problem with you, I hereby declare you as the winner of our argument.
3617  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shit Hits the Fan: Australia joins US, India and Japan in Naval Exercise on: October 24, 2020, 05:40:59 AM
Australia, India, Japan and the whole world can show what weapons they have, hell USA has x30-40 more power than China, but just because you have big guns doesn't mean you can attack and win.
AFAIK, China has a bigger naval forces right now. I do not know if this is true but they seem to be arming themselves.
It is because they have a firm answer and decision that they will not abide by anybody unless it's their own government's decision to move or not.
The problem with their answer is that they are stepping into territories that are exclusive to neighboring countries. Do you think that it is okay they should not answer for their crimes, what are their stance in the Uyghurs reeducation/concentration camps? Shouldn't they answer to that right?
Well.. I agree about the authoritarian nature of the Chinese government. But from what I have heard, the population is not complaining as long as the economy is going up. And talking about face recognition and other surveillance tactics, the so called "democratic" nations are also using them very often these days. And worse, in many cases they are using the Chinese technology and equipment for doing this.
Why would you complain if you do not care about the others that are oppressed just so they can have that lavish lifestyle. Years of propaganda in my opinion have an effect to their citizen. The problem that I see with their use of technology compared to other countries is that they try to make a data out of how you live your life, even the people who visit your house is recorded. Also, they do not complain because they know what happens to those people.
3618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why criminals still use Bitcoin? on: October 24, 2020, 04:32:34 AM
They believe that they can slip through the cracks when they are using bitcoin as a means of transfer for their illicit activities. What they do not know that bitcoin offers pseudo anonynimity, even if they know about they will still go for it because bitcoin can sort of cover their tracks. Plus if they deal the old fashioned way of cash then the chances of getting busted is high so they take the chance to just transfer the illicit funds through bitcoin.
3619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this is the start of mass adoption in Bitcoin? or Nah? on: October 24, 2020, 03:58:37 AM
It's just a start. A lot of people know about bitcoin however, they haven't paid attention to associating with it because they have seen many big businesses take it seriously. As PayPal supports bitcoin, this would really help as businesses who look up to PayPal would start looking into using bitcoin (definitely as a means of payment).
That is a good thing that businesses are integrating bitcoin in their transaction/system. I learned something new about bitcoin yesterday. The reason that mass adoption is still not viable for bitcoin is because of volatility solely, if businesses are always updating their product prices to get a profit then they are doing things a little more complicated because it takes an additional work to constantly update the prices. Imagine inside stock trading floor where prices are fluctuating every second.
3620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Terror Attack Related With Bitcoin - INDIA on: October 23, 2020, 12:42:56 PM
I feel bad for India having Bitcoin getting less likely be available for the public. Indian government is known to have a love-hate relationship with Bitcoin and this just serves as a nail in the coffin. It could have been the final nail if the attack was not thwarted.
