3621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: January 03, 2017, 11:59:11 AM

We're up to the final stages of releasing 0.13.2, in which you'll see new block version getting produced on testnet before we push the release out to the public.

You guys are still doing testing on the testnet?

Good, good.  We wanna make sure it's gonna work right.

You guys are starting the new year with some funny stuff.

That's definitely a Rockefeller steganographic pizza.  I'll decode its secret meaning when I have time.  Smiley

Dude, I was feeling a tad guilty for quasi-derailing this thread of yours thinking perhaps it was somehow an official thingy. I see now that my original assessment was correct, ergo give me a sic so to glean from the Net a animated pic of a monkey dancing the merengue on the trunks of a siamese elephant connected at said appendages.

Pseudo Edit: Well fuck me in my ass! I inadvertently remained on topic since I evoked siamese in this here Twin thread.  Cry

Haha, you crazy sumbitch.  It's a good thing you're funny.  And a really good detective.  Smiley

This thread can't really be official anything until I'm actually really right about something big.  I've been right about many things but they can be dismissed as luck or deductive reasoning.

No.  I want something undeniable.

And I think it's coming.

If/when that happens, no more monkey dancing jokes.  Grin
3624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- The Riddle of the Twin Brothers - Who Were, Are and Will Rule the World! on: January 02, 2017, 02:56:54 PM
correct!! an update might have been nice, but all good.

finally pulled my last coins from yoBit

We do regular updates regarding iXcoin development on the main IXC thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1616394.0

This thread is about IXC but other things as well; I started this thread to keep my crazy isolated.

I wouldn't trust any exchange with any coins, if you can handle cold storage on your own it's the best way.

will that get the chain moving?

'maintenance' mode is shit and way too long

The chain has been moving very well for a few days now.  We're often doing sub 10 minute blocks.

Yes, good.  Good.

You mean that unsecure blockchain?

It's gonna be ultra secure.  We're gonna trap lightening in a bottle.  Wink

Edit:  missed the jk part.  Ok, you're not an idiot.  Carry on.

Didn't expect to get a such a quick  response from a legend to such an obvious troll !
You must  be a programmer too ~LOL~

Dear OP, with such a prescient mind and foresight aplenty, surely your net worth must be vast !

I choose to be a programmer

Well you should'a said so earlier and i wouldn't have paid any attention to your predictions at all. Programmers are notoriously myopic.

His understanding of economics is at least graduate level.  I'm really impressed with this guy on many levels.

And you're an idiot.  Just an FYI.  Smiley

Edit:  missed the jk part.  Ok, you're not an idiot.  Carry on.
3635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: December 27, 2016, 11:25:54 PM
I don't see another cryptocurrency replacing bitcoin due to its steady upward move. However, it is possible for a coin or two to compete with bitcoin in terms of value in the future.

Value?  How about features, speed, cost, etc?  Bitcoin can't even scale or add segwit cause of all the infighting.

There is definitely an opportunity for another coin to come in and compete as a daily use currency.
3636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: December 27, 2016, 09:45:24 PM

I think dmob, phelix and casini are also developers. There are many unknown developers too afaik. It's a pity its getting dumped but there seems to be a large mining pool just dumping their coins onto the exchanges. There still seems to be some buy support to absorb it though. No good to me now after buying all my nmc @ almost $7 LOL.

I think it's CEX.io.  It seems they decided to dump all their alts.

There will be repercussions!!!

There was rumour of cryptsy liquidation of 75k coins already have been approved so this may also be factor but I think I see on namecoin forum mention of one particular mining pool dumping directly onto exchanges.

Cryptsy has in Vern or the lawyers?  Cause the latter makes no sense, they should offer those at auction.
3637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Largest SUPERWHALES ...... on: December 27, 2016, 09:38:53 PM
anyone any ideas who owns addreses number 7-15 on the rich list ?

all created around the same time in 2013 and contain the same amount  Shocked

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

Just a wild guess but it could have been ghash, they had 51% of the hash power in 2013 and mined hundreds of thousands of bitcoins.
3638  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: December 27, 2016, 04:35:15 PM
If the lawyers are winning when do we expect them to give us our money back? or at least 66.666% of it?

Years.
3639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2016, 10:40:35 PM

I guess you're right. To help protect the future of Bitcoin and blockchain technology, it is best for Satoshi to remain a mystery as governments would want to force him to take down his creation, or even persue him for jail.

In the end, I think the reason that Bitcoin is one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies out there is because its creator is unknown, and the coin itself has managed to survive 7 years since its inception challenging major banks, and our well known fiat system controlled by governments.

Nevertheless, with Bitcoin, we are able to take control of our money, without no middlemen, or banks in the way to take your funds. It is the most important thing Satoshi created and it is changing the world at a fast pace. Just sharing my thoughts.  Smiley

Miners and coders and payment processors aren't middle men?  What about regulators who make all the rules?

It's nearly 2017 and everyone is still asleep back in 2011.
3640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -- The Riddle of the Twin Brothers - Who Were, Are and Will Rule the World! on: December 26, 2016, 10:21:19 PM
rather than a stack of christmas waffle - how about getting the chain moving?

isnt that what devs do?

Yeah.  This guy Gleb is distracting me from important matters.

We're doing our best but without incentivizing miners we have to find another way to add world class security to the IXC blockchain.  So we have to either raise hundreds of millions of dollars or partner with others who can help us add the necessary security.  That could lead to centralization but then again, that's exactly what Bitcoin is becoming, only worse, cause they can't even scale or add segwit.  I'm hoping to add segwit to Shitcoin just to prove a point.

Unlike most in crypto I never deluded myself with anonymous, trustless, decentralized fantasies so I'm willing to push ahead with no hesitation to make big deals happens.

We'll see what we can do about raising some serious money soon for marketing, coders, etc.
