3622  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What influenced your political/religious views? on: September 12, 2014, 07:35:00 PM
I found I regularly got into arguments ( Surprise surprise Wink Cheesy ) with republicans and the like on the internet and I could never agree with the kind of things that were being said in my country either which quite frankly I consider bullshit so I eventually started researching all kinds of political viewpoints that mainstream politics likes to pretend doesn't exist.

People like Ron Paul were the obvious lot that got me started and I definitely like Libertarianism but as I'm learning more and more I keep feeling that we will inevitably have to tear down our whole government system and start over fresh because it's so corrupt. I also found I couldn't stand religion a lot because of what people came up with to justify their violence so eventually I found and I think I've settled into Anarchism because I haven't completely disregarded the idea of some kind of more powerful beings ( I seriously doubt they'll be gods but idiots may well think they are ) but I refuse to worship them or acknowledge them as gods. I don't really fall to Anarcho-Communism or Anarcho-Capitalism I'm somewhere in between, I think I'm more of an anarcho-individualist for this reason, people can do whatever the fuck they want as far as I'm concerned as long as they don't force people into it or try to assimilate them into a group.

All sorts of reading on the internet and just general exploring is what got me where I am today and also helped me find Bitcoin.
3623  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fulfilling signature campaign post quota on: September 12, 2014, 04:31:21 PM
Damnit >_< lol Tongue anyway I actually posted a lot more than I thought I did when I looked at things so it was fine Cheesy.
3624  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fulfilling signature campaign post quota on: September 12, 2014, 03:53:03 PM
Find a sig campaign that has a lower post requirement, most of the ones I've seen are too high so you'd just end up spamming or they give too low a payment for your time even for taking up your sig space.

50 posts is pretty much the lowest requirement for any campaign. If you can't think of 50 posts worth of stuff to say I don't think a sig campaign is for you. You shouldnt have to force yourself do to posts at all.

I'm on a 15 post per week sig campaign, your argument is invalid, ner ner n-ner nerrrr Tongue
3625  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-12] Bitcoin 'could pose a risk to UK economy' on: September 12, 2014, 12:06:22 PM
I am surprised with a low numbers: 300 transactions per day through the whole Britain? That's too small.
I would expect there to be much more buying and selling activity in the UK.

That's probably the only transactions they knew about Wink I know I try my best to keep low key about my dealings in Bitcoin even if I only have a tiny amount right now, we Brits actually do something about the government spying on and censoring us over here, that said I did contact the Bank of England and HMRC to ask about taxes.

I wonder why crystal meth is popular in "the south"?   Now, what the hell is different about "the south"?  Where else in our society is addiction to such destructive drugs prevalent?

Some people should not be allowed to reproduce;  period.

Yeah yeah, everything is the fault of drugs, it can't possibly be the result of a fucked up upbringing or psychological damage so common in America.
3627  Other / Politics & Society / Re: This is bad: Russia 'abducts' Estonian officer after Obama says US will defend.. on: September 11, 2014, 11:40:13 PM
I love the way some of you guys are already in the process of claiming that anyone who isn't in automatic agreement with you is an enemy and working with ISIS.

How do you interpret a protest against attacking ISIS? Or teaming up with Syria and Iran to protest attacking ISIS?

I've actually read through the article instead of jumping to conclusions.

Quote

Russia said it would not support any military action without a UN resolution authorising it. "The US president has spoken directly about the possibility of strikes by the US armed forces against Isil positions in Syria without the consent of the legitimate government," said a spokesman. "This step, in the absence of a UN security council decision, would be an act of aggression, a gross violation of international law." China said that the world should fight terror but that national sovereignty must be respected.

3629  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.S. Treasury: Boston Marathon Bombings Were Not An “Act Of Terrorism”… on: September 11, 2014, 09:44:23 PM
I can't understand people who buy insurance unless it's absolutely necessary, while not as dramatic as a bombing we regularly get floods here in the UK and every time it happens the insurance companies have fucked off with peoples money and never paid it, get a secure savings account or put your money in Bitcoin and hide it away somewhere in case of an emergency.
3630  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you like kids? on: September 11, 2014, 10:40:07 AM
Wtf? She's less than four years old! Why are you parents such fucking control freaks? She'll learn to stop pissing herself on her own, holy shit, I realise this may be just Kluge joking around of course but a lot of parents seriously worry the shit out of me with the way they almost literally treat their children as if they're destined to be their obedient slaves.
3631  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you like kids? on: September 11, 2014, 09:59:53 AM
Of all the topics made on Bitcointalk I've seen I think it's this one that creeped me out the most.

Ad Hominem attacks are even more amateur, and are certainly unwelcome when engaging in civil discourse.

I'm getting very fed up of people who use these phrases in order to sound clever when they clearly have no idea what they mean, are using them in the incorrect context or are just doing it to sound clever, complicated words don't make your arguments any better when basically what you just said amounts to "HE SAID MEAN THINGS TO ME WAHHHH!".
3635  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should we stop all Muslims from entering America? on: September 10, 2014, 08:23:22 PM
For reasons like this that's why many people from all around the world hate America.

Pretty much, America funded Al Qaeda during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, they funded ISIS during Syria and so on and then they have the balls to declare it's all the Muslims fault that all of this is happening.
3636  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CNN national poll: Rand Paul 13%, Bush 13%, Ryan 12%, Huckabee 10%, Christie 9% on: September 10, 2014, 08:04:35 PM
Paul would be interesting as an independent candidate. I don't see the GOP nominating him.

Politicians don't have the balls do go independent, well except for Jesse Ventura and at least Gary Johnson isn't a part of the two party system.
3637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: September 10, 2014, 11:31:27 AM
I just thought I'd say guys, I've been trying to get other coin developers to look at this but the one thing no altcoin has done yet is made a properly coded, independent and open source shopping cart, if you did that it would give Einsteinium a real boost especially if they didn't need any kind of third party to operate it and it was fairly simple.

As proof it can be done there is Bitshop but the problem with Bitshop is it isn't really that open source because while bitfreak did a good job coding it he has restrictions on the use of it and also I think he relies too much on exchange API's to do the price calculations because when MTGOX went down he's had to update his stuff. Meanwhile I'm currently running ubercart with a coinpayments plugin and its working absolutely fine because they've completely removed their ties with fiat money. I want to see an SCI where you can just put it up on your website without problems or having to be a PHP programmer or understand how the deamon wallets work, customise it to your liking and just trade without third parties constantly dictating what you can and can't do.

Just a thought I'd put out there, I'd really like to see this kind of coin succeed and I've actually been quietly buying up chunks of ECM2 recently but the thought of being able to make tons of money and also partly donate my earnings towards science is a great idea.

Thanks for this. We are currently working on a commercial website where students (for example) will be able to buy scientific equipment, t-shirts, etc. Keep buying up while the coin is cheap. The only currency the new site will be accepting as payment will be EMC2. Not sure what Armis has in mind re the shopping cart but he's a smart guy and Im sure he will figure this part out. Your input may come in handy in this transition stage.

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk or just talk on here, the amazing thing is I actually looked at some other altcoins and I've seen them floating around and the developers clearly have their own in-house scripts for their stores but they refuse to publish them, not really something I can get behind when I see that kind of behaviour because they're deliberately restricting peoples' ability to trade with the currency they've created.

This is why you always use disposable email addresses when conversing with people publicly and have entirely separate and different passwords on your financial and personal addresses.
