3642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is pointless if the BTC fees increases along with rise in BTC price! on: December 28, 2020, 01:10:34 AM
I have observed many times whenever there is rise in the price it will proportionally increase the fees as well. BTC becomes useless if I want transfer my coffee bill worth $5 or lets say lunch of $50 bucks if I have to pay more than 10-15 USD for single transaction.
That is the reason for bitcoin lightning network, bitcoin lightning network transaction fee is very negligible, for now, it is as low as $0.00005 or lower. For making small transactions and for everyday transactions that require low amount, people will not have any option later than to resort to bitcoin lightning network which has low transaction fee.

Do not just think that bitcoin is just only a money, it is also an asset.

I heard of it about the lightning network its very helpful when bitcoin fee right now when bitcoin reach new ATH "WHALES"/investor that hold much bitcoin start to transferring their Bitcoin to an exchange.

and i have an idea why company like paypal offer payment from user to user its more cheaper right
3643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the power of HOLD and believe on: December 28, 2020, 01:04:56 AM
I'm some kind of crypto enthusiast. First time I've known about bitcoin at the end of 2017 when it was about to get its first ATH. I've spent a few hundred $ to buy some BTC and tried to get a profit by trading. Unfortunately, I didn't get lucky but I decided to buy some more BTC and just keep on waiting when the price will get higher. Now I'm happy I haven't lost my faith but I still hope BTC will grow much higher.  Cheesy

Happy ending  Grin

Thanks OP. I bought a lot in 2015 and 16 and held ever since. I held all the way through 2017 peak to the 2018 low of 3k, without selling a single coin. Let's see how far we'll go this time, but I think I'll sell at least 1 BTC now to celebrate those years of holding and have some fun. The rest will wait for another milestone like 50k, when I'll have another party at Bitcoin's expense. Long live bitcoin and good luck to all hodlers! Cool
if you can survive and don't sell 1 Bitcoin you are very good. Someone will be mentally shaken when holding for a long time. Especially when the bitcoin price starts to be bearish at the lowest price below the price you bought at first. Holding is a very appropriate strategy for people who want to invest in bitcoin for a long time but get a lot of profit. But Buying bitcoin must also be at the right time in order to get a cheaper price.

You now have a new goal of reaching the $ 50k price tag. That's pretty awesome, but the $ 30k ATH is still waiting for now.

@AakZaki is famous Exchanger in indonesia and still dont believe that he holdmuch BTC  Roll Eyes that's crazy Celebrate is okay i think to buy some new car  Cool

anyway hodl bitcoin for long investor is give much benefit event tho bitcoin price is volatile, but for bounty hunter like me hold its kinda hard to do when bill arrived in your doorstep  Cry
3644  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-12-18] BTC bull run to last until the second half of 2021? on: December 28, 2020, 12:59:06 AM
Bitcoin prices are increasing very sharply. During the last three months, they have risen by more than 160%. Going by this trend, we can expect exchange rates in excess of $100,000 per coin if the bull run lasts for another six months. But personally I don't expect the rally to go on for that long. There will be a strong correction in the prices, as a result of profit booking by short-term and medium-term investors.

Total Agree bitcoin make me happy and sad at same time the bitcoin price keep going up  Smiley and i dont have any Sad and everyone waiting for the price correction but till this date sign of bullish keep coming

Hi @Secco how it going ?  Grin
3645  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Donating Bitcoin and IRS form 8283 on: December 28, 2020, 12:44:31 AM
I am thinking of donating more than $5000 worth of bitcoins to a charity and I am not clear about how to fill out form 8283, especially the part where you must have the donation appraised.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

FYI, I want to donate the bitcoins directly rather than selling them first because I can avoid paying taxes on the donated bitcoins.
Firstly i am not american netizen but im curious about this so in there when you want to donate you should fill out form  Huh why you just deposited into their address anonymously just tell the charity owner

3647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Above Visa in Market Cap on: December 26, 2020, 01:23:01 PM
Cool statistic, but meh. Comparing the marketcap of a digital asset to a business simply just doesn't make that much sense. Call me when bitcoin reaches gold's marketcap. Tongue

Bitcoin reaching Gold marketcap will be the biggest thing to ever happen in the blockchain and crypto currency space lol and i believe that it is achievable. I also feel bitcoin above Visa will be a momentarily event which we should milk well as traders / investors. It is getting clearer each day that Bitcoin is the future.

and yeah we should proud event this digital asset and surpassed businnes in real life  Grin kinda cool

Warren Buffet will buy the bitcoin im surely sure about this  Grin Grin Grin
3648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is headed for the stars, but... on: December 26, 2020, 01:18:31 PM
Bitcoin is headed for the stars, but to make the most profit, the Big Bitcoin Investors are causing BTC to jump around a bit. Bitcoin hangs at $20,000... going up and down, say, $500. Then it does the same at $21,000, and $22,000, and $23,000. All the little people get scared, and sell off to the Biggies before the profit goes sky-high and beyond.

Sell your bitcoins if you need food. It doesn't make sense to starve to death hoping that you will live off BTC profits.

But if you can, hang onto the Bitcoins you have. Because you will be rich when BTC goes to a $million or higher.

Cool

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Total true its happen to me like any single time i need money to buy food and pay the bills but in the other hand i need to Hold to make profit and bounty hunter like me is hard decision to do  Grin
3649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC next target 😉 on: December 26, 2020, 01:16:08 PM
I am just waiting for that correction too, when we see that bitcoin will be having a sign of correction, and we can that it is already happening that is the time that we can see if that will break we can see bitcoin at 30kusd soon, so we need to analyze chart more often to make a good prediction or to make decision if we want to buy more or hold more this month until next month.

me Either, bitcoin price is volatile and right now its kinda dangerous  Cheesy to buy at current price point. i dont have bitcoin   Cry and i just wait altcoin break new ATH
3650  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: HIFO/LIFO vs FIFO on: December 26, 2020, 01:12:31 PM
I heard IRS allows LIFO or HIFO method for crypto tax calculation (as oppose to FIFO), but LIFO/HIFO methods require more thorough transaction records keeping?

1) Is that true?  Does IRS even allow LIFO or HIFO for crypto tax?

2) If true, using API to import transaction documents from Coinbase to Koinly satisfy the record keeping requirement?

3) Also, does using either LIFO or HIFO increase the likelihood of audit than using FIFO?

Thanks

I don't pretty understand about this  Cheesy Cheesy and im looking on the internet what is IRS LIFO or HIFO FIFO

IRS stands for Internal Revenue Service
FIFO and LIFO accounting are methods used in managing inventory and financial matters involving the amount of money a company has to have tied up within inventory of produced goods, raw materials, parts, components, or feedstocks

i still dont understand tho  Cheesy

3652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin's fees overpriced? on: December 25, 2020, 10:39:00 AM
back in 2017 i transferred amount of bitcoin that confirmed almost for 3 months and not getting single confirmation i get the confirmation when bitcoin lose its value, and about this topic i would say yes the fee its crazy its because bitcoin price pump and a lot transcatin and you must pay a lot of fees to get a confirmation and with current price yepppppp the fees itself more than 5$ sometimes and it will struggle to token using omni as the backbone
3653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Massadoption - Is it ready? on: December 25, 2020, 10:32:13 AM

3655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An example why we should hold bitcoin on: December 22, 2020, 08:04:53 AM
As bitcoin kicking up the whole market and continuing to reach its all time high price, there is a story in NAS Daily that I have watched today on a millionaire lives in a van. At first glance, I thought it is just same business as what others had to become millionaire yet he became millionaire because of BITCOIN.

He hold bitcoin when it was devaluated and sold it when it goes up. He earned almost a million dollar because of his bitcoin. And I think right now, he is part of crypto trading. Here is the story of Ben Yuu, the person behind the story of Nas: https://www.facebook.com/nasdaily/videos/1005063733326174/

It only shows how he believed a lot in bitcoin. So, for those who have no trust in bitcoin, here is a good example that bitcoin brings a good opportunity for all.

However, I just worried about his anonymity since Nas Daily Page is a popular site. And anytime, there are criminals that might get interest to him. He might be at risk when this video was uploaded since he live in his van. Well, just a few cents for his security because he is rich and part of Cryptocurrency industry (an industry of full of hackerd and scammers).

i just watch the whole video and that was crazy and i agree with you about the security tho nas Daily is on every social media from youtube to TikTok and also i am kinda interesting in same way with Dollar Cost Averaging system to buy bitcoin and hold it

3658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jeff Bezos and Bitcoin on: December 21, 2020, 02:46:33 AM
Jeff Bezos could really own every bitcoin with that huge amount of money, but I'm thinking how much transaction fee he is getting to pay for buying all of the bitcoins

Two mistakes here.
1. He cannot own all the bitcoins because:
1.1 Some bitcoins are lost forever.
1.2 Some people will simply not sell.
1.3 Not all bitcoins are mined yet.
1.4 As he starts buying (them all) the price will go up and up and up until the point he cannot afford to buy more. At least this is how I understand the laws of supply and demand.
1.5 He is not stupid and he would understand that if he would buy all the bitcoins they'd become worthless. Also he will always hugely diversify his investments.

2. The transaction fee for sending the bitcoins doesn't depend on how many bitcoins there are there and what's their market value. It's (in this case) about the number of inputs (does he have a few "big bills", or a huge amount of "coins" or somewhere in between).

I do Agree with this one the price of bitcoin will simply up and jeff bezos would never buy the all the bitcoin because the market will be freeze if have all the btc
3659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn’t the correction happened yet? Or has it? on: December 21, 2020, 02:35:26 AM
The current Bitcoin ATH are still on going will or may go up to 30k$ more or less unlike on 2017, the current hype isn't the same as investors are conscious and many new institutions are adapting to bitcoin which makes a stronger resistance.

We can still see some more pump in the coming days or weeks. We may encounter the price correction at early January or late January next year.

The Current Hype is crazy even elon must tweet about bitcoin in couple of days and last time his tweet about doge and price going crazy  Grin.

But Bitcoin Correction will occur we don't know when
