3641  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinBookmarks.com - top crypto sites list searching to add more best links on: August 02, 2020, 07:46:42 AM
Reasonable criticism and suggestions are welcome!
Overall it's an "okay" list [a lot is still missing] but would like to suggest the following things:

  • For websites/services that have a description, make those appear when someone hovers over them [instead of listing them under their respective names].
  • I checked in random and some of the listed names, don't belong to the category they're listed in [you might want to double-check everything].
  • Choose a better fitting name for some of the categories.
  • The current color combinations for tabs isn't that good [perhaps having two colors for both parts of each tab would be the ideal thing to do].
3642  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a loan (0.03 BTC) on: August 01, 2020, 07:25:17 AM
You're asking for a loan on the same day that you are trying to trade BTC for PayPal?
Apart from that, based on his/her "lending terms", Mr.Lister offered an invalid collateral for his/her own loan request [that's funny Roll Eyes]...

I'm offering Bitcoin Loans between 0.01 and 2BTC. Collateral is required!

     Terms

    No collateral, no loan!
Valid collaterals are stable and easy traded altcoin(Depending on my opinion).
Collateral amount should be a minimum of 105%.

~Snipped~
I can provide my ID, passport, we can talk online, etc...

@OP: I'm guessing you already know "this thread [1st and 2nd post]" since you have a loan service of your own but it doesn't hurt to list it one more time.
3643  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: aether.org Bitcoin Social Community Platform + Affiliate Program on: August 01, 2020, 06:25:26 AM
would like to hear any feedback or comments on how it can be improved for the crypto community.
The following improvements are more towards a general usage:

  • Improve the time it takes to load after clicking images with higher quality/larger sizes [quite noticeable].
  • Ability to have a modular design for users.
  • Dark mode.

but the social platform can be customized for other projects if anyone is interested.
Since you're a developer and by the look of it, you're also looking to offer your services then it might be better if you move this thread to "Services" or "Service Announcements" board and update the 1st post with your own website while having "aether" as part of your portfolio instead.
3644  Economy / Services / Re: Provider of Digital Marketing Services - Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify.. on: July 31, 2020, 05:10:11 PM
$2 review copy available for any merit member
Care to explain what do you mean exactly by "any merit member"?
- If your intention is to receive merit in exchange for a $2 worth of whatever service that you're offering, then you should stop offering such thing [it's unethical, earn it the right way].

Can I ask for merit?

There is no need to do this and this behaviour is usually seen as 'merit begging' which is frowned upon by the community and may lead to you receiving negative feedback. Keep making quality, constructive posts and you will surely be rewarded over time.

Can I sell merit?

Selling merit is disallowed.

3645  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: "Signature Campaign" does work for marketing? on: July 31, 2020, 01:25:42 PM
Is the "Signature Campaign" does work for marketing? Huh
For the most part, it does but if you still have your doubt in regards to conversions/clicks, then you have the following options:

  • Integrate a UTM code in signatures [for tracking purposes].
  • Use a link shortener that comes with a tracking panel of its own [those with ads aren't allowed].

Are there other marketing channels here?
Other users already mentioned everything here but apart from this forum, you can also try using your own ads in YouTube channels of crypto influencers.
3646  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBtc KYC issue on: July 31, 2020, 08:50:09 AM
I informed them that my government doesn't provide documents in Latina, they said I need to provide a certified translation.
Any suggestions on how to do that.

If TryNinja's suggestion doesn't work [they decide not to release your funds] and if you deposited a significant amount of BTCitcoins, then you might as well give it a shot...

- I'm not one of their users but had a similar experience with another exchange so this is what I did:
  • Looked for a translation organization [in my country] > give my document > they'll send it to somewhere else to check for its validity > they'll translate [after initial approval] it after receiving it once again > notarization process.
    - Depending on where you are, you might end up with slightly different steps.
    - I'm not vouching for HitBtc in any way.
    - Mine took around 3 weeks to complete.
    - Don't use online translation organizations.

What do you think about new feature and option to hide posts and topics in bitcointalk forum?
I already read all of your responses in this thread and I'm on the same page with others but having said that, the only other real use case for this is if you want to create a topic and make it go live in some other time [some use "Archival" board for this] or simply test your codes/design [also can be done using the "preview" function for the majority of cases]. In other words, it's not worth the effort to tweak a lot of codes for implementing such features.

User can choose to hide or not, but moderators can still see the posts.
This can be good for keeping privacy.
If someone else other than you can see it, then it defeats its purpose.
3648  Other / Archival / Re: closed on: July 30, 2020, 07:02:05 PM
This is NOT a scam accusation and there are no rules broken (as far as I know) because there are no rules against multiple accounts but I just find it quite weird.
Since technically all of these accounts belong to a single user [most likely], then the following rules have been broken:

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours per thread. Bumping multiple threads at the same time is allowed if it's not annoying. [2][e]

30. Similar marketplace items must be listed together.[2][e]

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

I believe this is one of those endless cases and it might be better to just report them and ask from one of the admins to check for their IP's [limited]...
- Not sure if they'll do it though.

3649  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Minefield.Zone: The Million Dollar Homepage + /r/place + mining pool on: July 29, 2020, 08:12:11 AM

Description and user guide: https://minefield.zone/description.html
Finally, one with a twist of its own Wink

  • There is a 1920x1080 canvas, on which everyone can place pixels in 16 different colors
~Snipped~
in other words, in this mode you can specify an image and your client will automatically place them on canvas once you have enough pixels to do that.
Just to be clear, we can actually use images like other "million-dollar pages" or we're limited to colored pixels only?

  • You can place your pixels over pixels of other people. Conversly, other users may place their pixels over yours.
  • Use it or lose it: if pixel you mined is not placed on canvas within 10 minutes, it will be lost. It will disappear. It won't be there anymore. It will be wiped out of server's memory. It's existence will end. It will be T-E-R-M-I-N-A-T-E-D.
  • One interesting consequence of this is that if there are two users with exactly the same amount of processing power competing for the same piece of canvas, then the one that placed his pixels earlier and kept mining uncontested for some time afterwards, will get to keep his place on canvas. Something i would very much like you to think about Smiley
Regarding your "10-minute placement rule", IMHO it's a bit too harsh.
- You might want to consider the following things:

  • Increase your placement rule to a few hrs [at least].
  • Change the other rule to somehow guarantee each pixel to be overwritten only after a certain amount of time has passed.
3650  Other / Meta / Re: Super Merit Table - Where did you spend/received all of your merits on: July 29, 2020, 05:22:23 AM
Excellent tool/table for viewing our Merit data but I would like to suggest separating each sub-board from its parent board [have each one of them in a different column].
- Or a drop-down of some sort [if it's possible].

3652  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need Suggestions for website on: July 28, 2020, 12:04:20 PM
What do you guys think of a bitcointalk like website for bitcoin community with friends, minor marketplace etc.,
It'll be another waste...
- You can invite all of your friends on this forum.

Do you have any more suggestions besides ideas for traders?
I've been telling a lot of developers that were looking for suggestions to make a "real" YouTube alternative that rewards its creators with BTCitcoin...
- We already have a few like "DTube" and etc... that rewarded other crypto-currencies but none of them are near Youtube, both in terms of quality and reward.
- There's a market for this simply because of the fact that a lot of talented creators out there are limited when it comes to having Adsense rewards due to where they are.
3653  Economy / Services / Re: 20$ in btc for a winning suggestion. on: July 28, 2020, 08:31:04 AM
Everyone please send your suggestions in pm. if i select a winning entry i will post here.
Just finished sending you 10 suggestions via PM.

because in order for future privacy and seo reasons.
I think for the sake of transparency, you should consider allowing users to post their suggestions in something like "Pastebin" instead...
- This way users can check for the validity of entries while also eliminating repetitive suggestions.
3654  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoinbidz.com - (give us your feedback) on: July 28, 2020, 07:54:51 AM
We would love to hear your answers on the the following questions:

  • Have you ever won BTC in a contest/giveaway/game?
  • Have you ever deposited BTC on a gaming or gambling related platform to gain more Sats?
  • Have you ever done micro-tasks in exchange for BTC ?
  • What signs are you looking for when visiting a platform to make you feel at ease with entrusting them with your data/tokens?
  • Yes.
  • No.
  • Yes, but not in recent years [first couple of years in the crypto-currency world].
  • Safety of both my "data/tokens" in a transparent way.

Correct it will not be a casino =)
Can you explain a bit further in regards to your upcoming platform?
3655  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Change-Crypto.com new exchange service on: July 27, 2020, 07:22:59 AM
doesn’t limit the amount for crypto swaps,
Just did some tests and there was definitely a minimum and maximum limits for each swap.

Since this is "powered by ChangeNOW", then why should users try your so-called exchange service instead of theirs?
- I've never vouched for their services and never will [due to their nature, lots of accusations against them].
3656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2020, 06:31:51 AM
I think selling 12 players will be difficult.
Indeed but for the right price, everything is possible...
- Having said that, I'm expecting to see half of those being a loan deals instead of actual sales.

Arsenal are confident of signing Willian when he becomes a free agent.
This might happen "only" if Arsenal wins the FA cup and qualifies for UEL.

Arsenal will spend very little this summer, maximum 30m euros on transfers.
I'm expecting to see at least 60m [without gained money from player sales] + probably a tactic used by Arsenal board for getting their targets a bit cheaper.

3658  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: July 25, 2020, 06:38:38 AM
You did not pay for the Copper Membership yet because if you had paid your status would have changed to Copper Membership.
That's incorrect. It's not an automated process, you still have to do what "UserU" mentioned in the last line of his/her post.

Before buying the Copper Membership you should ask yourself do you need these additional privileges ?
It no longer matters since "Magdel2014" already paid for it.
3659  Economy / Services / Re: Promotion for crypto project on: July 24, 2020, 04:57:53 PM
what promotion options are available on the forum and generally in the internet.
Apart from this forum, there's also Facebook/Youtube ads [only use it if you know how to properly target your audience].

What are other options?
In addition to what other users have commented, you can also try asking other crypto websites/platforms for an ad space of some sort.
