Indeed a good point but what about the investors dumping? It's sound ironic but yes sometimes investors are the one who are eager to dump their coins even below ico price. Though apparently, they lose trust to the project and don't mind if they'll have losses. That's why now even a promising project is struggling to touch the ico price once it's listed because of this however if the team and product are really great then it will happen sooner.

I don't think YUM will be good if listed on decentralized exchange because YUM is something great so it's better to be listed on a decent one like binance or bittrex and eveb on kucoin.

Though we can see at buy orders as market is really manipulated yet this isn't enough basis for another dump because cryptos are unpredictable and nothing and nobody will be really certain to this. The fact that bitcoin and eth are the two strongest currency so far so if I were the founder of course I'll choose the one that can grow drastically and in return I can have a good profit. Besides I can see more successful ICOs that's based on ethereum platform and can do beyond things.

So yeah there's no expiration regardless what year and how many someone bought. All does matter is the price like if you bought before it will surely have significant amount now.

Definitely depends on what coin you're holding because holding isn't necessary if you just keep shitcoins to your wallet. Know what's really promising and let go those shitcoins that doesn't deserve any attention. Know which is which because basically holding too much can  spoil the value.
