3641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Darkside Hackers donating Bitcoins on: October 21, 2020, 09:23:00 AM
I don't trust charities anymore, especially those big charity like Red Cross, Green Peace and anything of that sort. The donation is pocketed by the high ranking members of the said charity organization. I get that you need to get paid when you are organizing but if you look at the money they earn then you will see what I mean. The only real charity that I can back with are those organized by pure volunteers or just individuals that wants something to do with their time. I get that the group tried the robinhood approach but I feel bad for the money that will not be reaching those who truly need it.
3642  Economy / Economics / Re: Are online communities dead ? I can't find online communities to advertise ... on: October 21, 2020, 08:45:58 AM
Try Reddit, there must be a subreddit that will match what you need. There is a service discussion here in the forum and you can advertise your services their, you might also want to add your portfolio so possible clients are more likely to deal with you because you have works to showcase.
3643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 21, 2020, 08:01:57 AM
Do you seriously say that? Have you ever played blackjack in live casinos? Well, I'll still explain.
First of all, in live casinos, they play with 8 decks in the shoe. From these eight decks, only four plays. So, from 416 cards, approximately 208 plays and sometimes it happens like even less or more, it depends on the shuffler. Card shuffle quality is controlled, so, for this reason, shufflers try to put the cutting card in the front and not back to the middle. It results in playing even fewer cards, nearly 170-200. So this action even lessens your chance to count cards. It has zero idea to count cards in live blackjack. Also, there are risk analysts there who sit and have a look at players behaviours. Not only that, shuffle quality is always monitored and if it happened like shuffle quality in the certain round is very, very low, then the game can be cancelled and players get refunded.
I replied about it a long time ago and I retracted what I said on my thread starter. What you said is what other people have said already.  I do not care about your explanation because others have pointed it out and yeah what you just said I know about it already. Sorry.
3644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin co-exist with the current financial system on: October 21, 2020, 07:04:24 AM
Will bitcoin exist with the current financial system?
What do you mean by that? Bitcoin was created, has been used and will exist because the current financial system is broken. Bitcoin is an attempt to create a completely independent financial system, a system that governments cannot control. Although they can fight it and try to regulate it. For such financial system to succeed and replace the current one, it first needs to survive in battle with the states and central banks. They should be deprived of the ability and power of control money supply and money issuance. It is not going to happen any time soon, but still bitcoin nowadays can and should be used by people completely isolated from financial system, it is for them, after all, bitcoin was born.
I am lucky in a way because my country does not have an issue with bitcoin. Sometimes my country's indifference bear good results. Hopefully when the time comes, they will support bitcoin's existence. Regarding the question whether will it co-exist, there will be varying answers. Although the current financial system is broken and cracks are showing everywhere, the roots that it planted in nations are so deep that the system can't be rid of entirely. A coexistence will be of benefit for bitcoin but that alsl means the system it swore to replace will still live and the masses will suffer.
3645  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: October 21, 2020, 05:39:29 AM
1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
-I was a kid when it was released and most of my knowledge back then about it is on Youtube. Coincidentally at the time, I have fascinations about cryptography and Cicada 3301 and the enigma that surrounds bitcoin fits the bill.
2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
-I bought my first bitcoin when I was in senior highschool.
3. How did you get on the forum?
-A friend introduced me, the first years was an on and off because of school works.
4.1. What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
-There are a lot of things that prevents mass adoption, the biggest one in my opinion is education targeted to the masses who doesn't know about bitcoin. Second is the nation itself, if they do not support or consider it, mass adoption will be difficult if no one in power endorses.
4.2. How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
-To be honest it has positive effect, the advertising campaign of gambling projects helped people earn their keep. To be fair, gambling in cryptocurrency is just one of many sides of cryptocurrency.
4.3. How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
-I believe that life is a constant learning, 2-3 years is enough so you can stand on your own feet though. Regarding education, that is subjective to an individual, there are people who became who they without education and vice versa.
5. What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
-Merit system is pretty helpful in making sure that posts in this forum are of quality. Signature campaigns is helpful too because it creates a mutual relationship towards forum members by paying for joining the campaign and the owners of the project getting their project advertised. I do not think they harm the forum.
6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
-The topic depends on users, newbies could benefit from topic that guides them on the basics. Aspiring traders could benefit from topic that is related to trading and cryptocurrency news. I generalized the answer because there is no one topic useful. Helpful users are those veteran from the forum, they guide other newbies if they are deserving of guidance and scam buster users, no explanation needed for this one.
7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
  • Merit Notification
  • Art Board
  • IP ban for confirmed scammers
8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
-As of now, I am still saving funds so I can trade and invest at the same time. Regarding investing, maybe on established ones like gambling sites.
9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
-I haven't trade yet but surely I will tell my story when it happens.
10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
-It has potential, it is still on its infancy and I think everyone should protect the progress at all costs because scums are exploiting the system because it still a youngling.
11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
-Vital necessity, in this world of social media, privacy is a commodity.
12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
-Haven't read a book in awhile and most of my collection is fiction.
13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
  • Bitcoin
  • Litecoin
  • Ethereum
Take my answers with a grain of salt, they are the most popular but that does not mean that they should be invested in.
14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
-I do not speculate but my guess would be around 15k to 20k
15. P.S. (Optional)
-Thank you for the interview.

So what you are saying is that the advice is to soldier up is enough to lift the spirits of the depressed ones. If you are clinically depressed no amount of cheering will lift your spirits up. The statement was offensive for me because it sounded inconsiderate, I did not take the side of OP because I know when someone is a choosing beggar. I might have worded it differently, it is just my opinions and I do not want to spark some outrage. I am trying my best to avoid the drama. Maybe my perspective is different than yours and I respect that. The WTF phrase was offensive as a general advice towards depression. My choice of words are making things confusing and I feel sorry if it sounded crazy because I am writing.

The link is another rabbit hole regarding the beef with this Lauda. You can never really trust someone in the Internet, how come this people get dragged on by the supposed lies if there were opposers back then.
3648  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Finexgen.com Hype on: October 20, 2020, 09:16:56 AM
I can see a phone number on the first image. I am certain it might be fake/spoofed UK number and being run by the scammers. I wonder if any scam-baiter is going to run that to bait them in future.  Grin
We need more scambaiters to do this. The problem with that though is that the scambaiter should get something in return for wasting the time of the scammers. There are few scambaiters that are profiting in doing so, Jim Browning, Kitboga, Deevear, Leo Takacs and Scammer Revolutions are just some of the few scambaiters that are paid to waste the scammers time. Although the mentioned names above do not scambait in Bitcoin scammers, they are still worth mentioning.
3649  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ree: goodbye old world from your fav scammer lauda. on: October 20, 2020, 07:50:13 AM
Didn't know that animosity towards this high ranking members of the forums run this deep. I did reply to his post but I never knew this people personally, sure I see their name in some posts and some of them are of quality but that does not mean I suck up to gain favor. I do not like ad hominem namecalling because it sometimes invalidates your argument.
3650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware Cryptowallet with Fingerprint Authorization on: October 20, 2020, 06:40:19 AM
This sounds great and looks good on paper. But I don't expect wonders from it and wouldn't rely on $50 device to check my fingerprints while my $800 iphone doesn't even do this properly sometimes. I'd say I'll just keep an eye on that one
Exactly, there is still a problem with precision towards fingerprint technology. The problem is that the cost for creating a precise one will be larger than what they are planning to sell the product that comes with it. If the cost goes down to make a precise and secure one, skepticism will surely dwindle.
3651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to send fake Bitcoin on: October 20, 2020, 05:36:45 AM
Sending out fake transactions or double spending? You are just trying to discover on how to scam out people out there, I dont know on what are your intentions neither
for learning purposes or for scamming one.  Cool
That is what I have thought when I saw the title. Definitely what someone who has an intent in scamming people will definitely say. Besides the point, I am curious how this system exist. And if it exist, then it is a pretty devastating system that can take down many confidence towards bitcoin.
3652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 20, 2020, 04:37:57 AM
Roulette relies on probability like any other casino games. There are hotspot numbers that you need to watch out for because not all the numbers are equal and most of them land more often. But the probability is just part of the strategy to win in roulette, you should have a system to maximize your profits. There are countless strategies out there, one example is Martingale system, and Paroli. Martingale focuses on starting at lower bets and each loss you will double your bet, basically the belief in the system is that you will eventually win and all the losses incurred will breakeven. Paroli is the opposite of the Martingale system, if you win you decrease your bet. These strategies will not work hundred percent of the time but they can help in minimizing the damage.
3653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 20, 2020, 03:24:08 AM
Well I guess, if you think this works, you wouldn't share it with us. No hard feelings, but this is just theory if you can't execute it.

I'd like to ask, were you able to execute this strategy in a live online poker casino already?
What was the outcome? Were you able to win against the house without being caught doing the card counting strategy?

Give us an interesting insight. Something that happened already. Anyways, the casino staff is skilled to monitor your behavior. They have plenty of ways to catch you cheating. A suggestion, always check your agreement with the site.
To answer your question whether it is usable there are documented cases where card counting is executable, they even made a movie about it. What do you mean poker casino? We are talking about black jack here dude. Anyway, I have done some research if the strategy is effective online and the probability of a constant win online is low.

Why the hell would the casino care about your behavior when you are playing, that makes them look sour just because you are winning. The only acceptable reason the staff is watching you is because you look like a creep or a good for nothing who will cause a ruckus in the casino.
3654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling thoughts. on: October 20, 2020, 02:33:29 AM
1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?
-Casino gambling because human errors can be exploited unlike online casinos that runs in automation and most exploits that you will abuse will cause the online casino to withold your money.
2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?
-I do not know how much but if it is based on time then a money enough to last me 2 hours will do me fine.
3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?
-If I am losing 12 consecutive times then that will be my signal to stop playing. I lost money but at the very least I minimized the damage.
4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?
-Definitely Poker
5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?
-Use the fun money and never exceed more than the amount allocated in the fun money. The house will be the victorious ones in the end so do not put all of your life savings. There is a line between fun and obsession/addiction in gambling and try your best not to cross the line.

3655  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Situation :( on: October 20, 2020, 01:41:53 AM
The thing that piqued my interest is that they did know about Coronavirus a hundred years. If I may recall, coronavirus looks the same as a common cold or flu virus, the reason that they did not create a cure for that is so that we can't die from a superflu. The current virus was an animal mutation and I think that they did not see it coming. No point in blaming the people doing their best to stop the virus, just follow the regulations and prevent the spread. Climate change is inevitable, we humans have just accelerated the process, do not worry because this is a perpetual cycle that has been happening ever since although we will be dead when a complete climate change occurs.
3656  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Now accepting articles and essay contributions for new crypto periodical on: October 19, 2020, 12:40:29 PM
Is your periodical accepting a short story? I have one in my belt although I feel like this might be a problem because it is a horror story. It seems that this periodical is a good medium to have my work published. I am sorry if you think that the request is strange but I see some established magazines take in some contributors in their issues short stories.
3657  Economy / Reputation / Re: Goodbye, world! on: October 19, 2020, 11:36:13 AM
I do not know you personally but I wish to see you, there are other worlds than these as my favorite book says when someone dear departs. Thank you for your contributions to the community and the forum. Hopefully no one taints your name when you are permanently gone.
3658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Twitter hack: Be careful with your account as attacks are increasing on: October 19, 2020, 07:11:16 AM
There is nothing to be worried if you are just a regular Joe browsing twitter, don't open suspicious files sent via email as most worms attack this way. The problem with the verified users is that they are prone to attacks as they have an image that is presented to the public. If you want to get rid of possible hacks, do not use Twitter. Simple as it may look like, it is effective. It is also worth mentioning the added benefit of being away from the social media toxicity that plagues Twitter.
3659  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Athiest are the ultimate free thinker? on: October 19, 2020, 05:19:36 AM
In order to deny God, you first have to define God. Thus I believe that the real free thinkers are the agnostics.
It does not matter whether you are theist, atheist or agnostic. Anyone can think freely, this titles associated with being a free thinker is a bullshit made by someone who has a superiority complex and thinks that they are the smartest man in the universe by being a self proclaimed atheist. Free thinkers do not advertise their side when it comes to faith, I think having faith at the very least helps you in understanding more and broaden you perspective in things.
3660  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YOBIT VIRTUAL MINING SCAM: another day another scam - Yobit just do not stop on: October 19, 2020, 04:23:04 AM
That is true, they should have been shut down long ago but somehow they are still going strong and scamming at an alarming rate. Maybe after a full thorough investigation law enforcement agencies from multiple jurisdictions might have the resolve to take action but they should have been shut down by now, I mean they are not even an exchange now they are just a ponzi promoter that claims to be an exchange on the side.
There should be some kind of cease and desist order that is issued so they can stop their operations while investigating. The jurisdictions will surely hamper but shouldn't shutting down a site be easy. I hope that the investigation bores fruit, I feel really bad for innocents that were greedy fallen for this trap.
