Weaver will be brought offline in 10 minutes to process withdrawals.

The downtime will be approx. 3 hours.

I see Weaver is online again and I've requested a withdrawal to my brand new SILK address.
Waiting for it to start staking again!

Now Richie should move up a bit  Wink
3662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football league on: September 21, 2016, 06:23:51 AM
Lille - Toulouse Draw
PSG - Dijon over 2,5 goals

I must say the first game does not seem a very interesting one also if we consider both teams last performance. About PSG I think that game has no other result that a PSG win and I see many goals happening, hence my pick
Sad

Losing this way really pisses me off. I should have bet on both team to score for the first game! My bad. I missed a very good winning opportunity.
Psg was an easy one but I expected Lille Toulouse to be the same.
3663  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-20]Accenture Creates a Blockchain Editing Tool on: September 21, 2016, 06:20:27 AM
It's outright hilarious to see this. The only reason for choosing a blockchain over a centralized database is that it provides decentralized immutability! Have the Accenture guys even thought about what they doing in the first place? There is zero reason to build a blockchain when you bereave it of it's most important feature.

What Accenture has created is rebuilding the features of a centralized database in the most inefficient way possible. Congratulations to that! But maybe they even find customers for their snake oil, since in the banking and insurance world they will surely find a whole bunch of even greater fools that just like to throw around buzz words...

ya.ya.yo!

They need snake oil because they all have one rule only: SELL THE BLOCKCHAIN!
These are the words you hear if you go in a consulting firm: sell the blockchain.

If you even ask why it is called that way, what it is, where it originates etc. they laugh at you and they reply: we don't even care.

3665  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-09-19] Blockchain: The smart person's guide on: September 20, 2016, 02:58:19 PM
The ledger is publicly accessible through APIs and torrent sites.

No, that's completely and totally wrong.

Encryption allows developers to trust the transaction history and build applications from and around transaction information.

Also wrong, the only encryption in Bitcoin is not applied to it's blockchain at all.

If you want to appear like a "smart person" in relation to blockchain tech, this guide clearly isn't going to do it for you.

I simply posted the article as it is: I did not want to put my personal remarks (as I usually do).

I agree with you. Sadly, this is the kind of info we get.
3666  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-09-19] Blockchain: The smart person's guide on: September 20, 2016, 06:38:14 AM
The blockchain is powerful technology that enables Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, and other virtual currencies to be open, anonymous, and secure.

The code also empowers countless innovations beyond cryptocurrency. The blockchain is a database of details about every Bitcoin transaction. Often referred to as a "public ledger," the log contains metadata about when and how each transaction occurred. The ledger is publicly accessible through APIs and torrent sites. To prevent tampering with current and past transactions, the database is cryptographically secured. Encryption allows developers to trust the transaction history and build applications from and around transaction information.

3667  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-09-20] Santander Vies to Become First Bank to Issue Cash on Blockchain on: September 20, 2016, 06:35:39 AM

Revealed today during a panel talk at Devcon2 by Ether.camp founder and ethereum Java client developer Roman Mandeleil, the news was confirmed by representatives of Santander. I didn't know Serie A was playing today: they have a very strange schedule down there. Since we can bet on this game here we are trying to find the best pick.
I am going to watch on tv as well because I think this will be a good game.  Wink
Here's my pick

AC Milan - SS Lazio Home or draw

I suggest you add this game into a parlay to have higher odds
3670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: September 20, 2016, 06:12:41 AM
Ok, I have a question: when will we able to withdraw funds from Weaver?
I can't see any withdrawral area.
I want to move them on my brand new silk wallet.

Weaver is now Live! Users can now login and see that the swap has taken place. Transaction has also been generated in user history. Were not ready for withdrawl of coins to each users personal wallets, this will be made available within 24 hours.

Accounts with their balances associated with the mintpal address funds have been locked and will be returned to the send address upon closure of the swapping period.

Thank you, I lost that announcement but as I can see from the latest updates now it is possible to withdraw from the weaver! Very nice work all of you.
And very good that everybody here is contributing.

I get 20 bits after each request!

Yeah, we've increased the faucet, now you can claim 20 bits every 10 minutes.

wow that is really great for all of us, because of its lower rate I was not interested in there but now I think I will collect a good amount for betting with full joy and fun. I was a little absent from your site a few weeks but now I came again to join your amazing community.

Annnnnd, our amazing community will have a place to communicate with each other (not chat, more advanced) when we release new version!

IMHO the game is very good already, I like it this way very much. I don't feel the need of some sort of communication with other players.
I want that is me against the abonimable Bitkong. Of course, I imagine the chat will be optional and in that case that's okay

Looking forward to the auction, it does interest me very much. I'm happily staking since one month and a half without troubles.
Keep doing some good work cryptonit
3674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: September 19, 2016, 06:19:53 AM
Can someone explain me why I'm getting free Silk on Weaver Smiley? They're labeled as 'Stake'

Some of you may, or may not of noticed your Weaver Silkcoin(SILK) balances/addresses receiving stake(PoS) rewards.

We would like to make users of Weaver aware that even though Matthew did set the Silkcoin wallets config file(silkcoin.conf) to not stake, it has decided to stake regardless.

This is just another example of the code issues with Silkcoin, however, this of course isn't a negative and it just means your Weaver addresses will enter stake and recieve rewards up until the 17th, when your balance is swapped to the new Silk(SLK).

You can monitor your balances on the blockchain explorer(https://silkexplorer.silknetwork.org) until the transaction script is completed and your balances on Weaver update.

Once the transaction script is complete, your balances will update and in the transaction history you will see your initial deposit and any PoS(stake) payments you have received.

Thank you for your time.

He surely miss the basics! I don't know how they'll make it till here.

Ok then, we'll to wait a bit more for the fun to start. By the way... nice to see my suggestion was considered. Thanks for the marching camel!  Wink Wink Wink
3675  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Donation help: which organization shall I fund? on: September 19, 2016, 06:12:20 AM
the electronic frontier foundation isn't getting any love? they're doing a very important job trying to keep things open. there are one hell of a lot of people who want to take your internet freedoms away. there ain't too many people out there who are there to defend it. the eff is one of the few.

There will be some coins for them as well don't worry: it's just a matter of time. I donated fiat money to the EFF long ago when I discovered the HTTPS everywhere plugin which improved my "surfing" experience.

Maybe we need a good thread where all these organization gather to explain how they use funds, what they do etc.

That'll be a good step forward.
3676  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Donation help: which organization shall I fund? on: September 18, 2016, 06:55:58 AM
Thewaterproject looks to me as the most reliable one. By the way, there are also funds that help elderly people who need help and have no home, for example. They are often underfinanced. Check it out if interested.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1618616.msg16277498#msg16277498

As you guys can see someone (or a group of people, organization etc we don't know) donated 38BTC to the Water Project which was on the list I provided some time ago.

I am happy to see there's a real flow of BTC towards these organizations.
Much happy Wink

I usually don't wake up around this time on Sundays: I put my alarm clock to be ready on trading but it seems we'll have to wait a bit more.
Time for more coffee

Bitcoin for Good! That's super nice! I wish we could all do something similar.
Personally I funded some charities with BTC and I will keep on doing it.

It's always good to share what we have with others.
