3661  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do only crypto payments cost customers? on: July 24, 2020, 12:49:46 PM
Suppose you have $1000 on your Paypal account and $1000 in Bitcoin and you would subscribe to the service for $10 a month. Would you prefer to pay in Paypal or Bitcoin (no matter what kind of service it is)?
I've already read everything and agree with some but mine is a bit different [I'm sure I'm not the only one]:

  • I usually go back and forth between two countries [prior to Corona] and regardless of having any funds on my PayPal account, I can't use it while being in one of them but that's not the case with BTCitcoin.
    - Depends on my location.

I would like to accept only crypto as a means of payment but I am not sure if most people would accept this.
I would also suggest offering both methods.
3662  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying at miningcave.com. any reviews? on: July 24, 2020, 09:56:34 AM
Did anyone alredy bought from miningcave.com based on canada? any reviews. I seach on google but did not find great reviews.
Yes, "VoskCoin" has bought a few rigs from MiningCave and in the following quote you can find a review for one of them:

Take note: I'm not vouching + pay attention to the following highlighted part:

based on your website, it more appears that you are a drop shipper - we order from you and you order from Bitmain, we still have to pay the tariff and the main difference is that your price is 20%-30% higher than buying direct.

I see no advantage to the buyer in this arrangement.
3663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are crypto escrow services profitable? on: July 24, 2020, 08:07:54 AM
I am wondering if crypto escrow services are profitable or not,
i will try to put this escrow online anyways just for the community and see how i can make money out of it,
Since this is a sensitive topic/service, I'll give you a straight answer:

  • You shouldn't offer an escrow service for the possibility of having a profit of some kind but instead, you should only look to secure those deals/funds for involved parties.
    - This type of service isn't like other businesses and if all you care is profits, then you're doing it for the wrong reason.

I'd say that people are no longer using it as they used to.
Exactly + some are pretending to, by looking for escrow providers while dealing with the type of stuff that none of us can secure for each part of the deal.

i just want to register it as a company so far in order to boost the trust in it.
I've seen a lot of scammers managed to register their company quite easily and still end up scamming others [AFAIK, it's no longer that hard to register as a company]...
- I'm not implying that you're a scammer.

Indeed, but at least an escrow service will make it less possible for someone to get scammed or get his bitcoin stolen,
That's only correct if the one that's offering their escrow services isn't a scammer of some sort [we've already had a few those in the past].

i am trying to apply the best security practices in the escrow i am working on.
Care to share the exact process?
3664  Other / Meta / Re: Do you check the merit history of users before meriting them? on: July 23, 2020, 07:04:50 PM
Although Merits are supposed to be a reward for good posts, I like to see that the users who receive them are participating in its distribution as well. If you couldn't care less about rewarding others for their efforts, I am not going to reward you.
Although you have a point, this is still a subjective thing and for some, it might take more time before they could distribute their sMerits [simply because of the fact that there isn't any post that passes as a high-quality one for them].
- By stopping the process [even for a short period], you also fall into that category.

Do you do any checks before you award users with merits or not?
It never occurred to me that someone else's merit history would've/should've impacted the way I merit one of their high-quality posts...
- I'm a simple guy, I see a high-quality post = I reward it with my sMerit.
3665  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are 2020's best websites for selling stuff for bitcoin? on: July 22, 2020, 07:26:55 AM
Preferably a platform with good amount of traffic whereas the products would be seen by other people just by them browsing.
There's still "bitify" but I wouldn't call it the best platform for such thing...
- Without the traffic issue, this forum is the best place [IMO].

You might want to also try the following subreddit: BitMarket
3666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Token - All Lives Matter on: July 22, 2020, 04:31:25 AM
Unfortunatelly all of us saw the violent protests tha ocurred on the last months. Good people got assaulted, dozens of stores robbed, destroyed and everything else that we unfortunatelly saw. Our project has the purpose to give voice to the enormous ammount of people that disagreed with those violent and racist protestest that ocurred. The token is called All Lives Matter - ALM and it will be ERC-20 based.
Even though you think there's a purpose in that, I really don't think it'll have any impact in terms of giving voices to such issues...
- Using such names as your token name doesn't necessarily solve the issue in question [in any way].

A reasonable ammount of the funds raised will be used to rebuild local stores that were robbed and destroyed during the riots and also give comforts to families who lost dear ones during the violent riots.
How you're going to identify those and what will be the exact process [in detail please]?

I'd like to have your opinion on the project
IMHO, I've seen a lot of projects recently targeting certain situations in order to use it for their own advantage and this might be another one [I hope you can prove me wrong].
3667  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling 100% Harris Tweed overcoat on: July 21, 2020, 03:08:19 PM
I'm trying to sell this 100% Harris tweed overcoat

It's brand new, size L (42-44 inch chest), selling it for 250 pounds, shipping included and can ship it worldwide
You might want to consider picturing it together with a piece of paper that has your forum username and the date [needed as proof due to significant amount of scammers on this part of the forum].

Payment in Bitcoin
Are you willing to use one of the escrow providers from this forum?
3668  Economy / Services / Re: Cpa service please! on: July 21, 2020, 02:02:37 PM
I would be happy if you would offer me services that work in CPA.
    Found two services:
    - Take note: I'm not vouching for the following services (I'm just listing them for you).

3669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 21, 2020, 12:40:10 PM
Lacazette according to L'Equipe and le10sport.com, both French press is talking with Juventus for the after Higuain.

Meh, another old player for the old lady if he comes.  Angry
Can't see this happening [Arsenal surely won't allow Lacazette to go, unless for a better player], especially after his spell at Chelsea [it's best if Higuain plays in other leagues].
    - Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing "Lacazette/Dybala swap".

Considering that Lacazette's game wasn't very good,
He might not score goals on a consistent basis but no one should question his abilities + fighting spirit [something that we see regularly].

Barcelona and Arsenal are getting into talks over Coutinho-Guendouzi swap deal.
    Yes, please...
    - It'll be a win-win for both clubs.

Seems like Unai Emery will be the new head coach of Villareal FC. Isn't official yet. (Source: https://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2020/07/19/5f14a32322601df64e8b4644.html)
Good luck to them [they'll be needing it] if it really happens.

    Rumors:

    • Arsenal is working to secure Ceballos for another year/permanently [source].
      - Very likely to happen.
    • Joelson Fernandes to Arsenal for £41m [source].
      - Might happen but for a lesser fee or a swap instead.
3670  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cats Coin Scam on: July 21, 2020, 10:59:24 AM
    Cats Coin Scam
Is this the one you're referring to? https://catscoin.org/

All the details are coming soon as these guys are crooks.
4 days have passed and still nothing...
    - After updating your post using the "Scam Report Format", make sure to also report them to their registrar [IONOS].

It returns with the"404 Page Not Found!" error.
3671  Other / Meta / Re: Compilation of helpful Quizzes related to bitcointalk forum on: July 21, 2020, 08:11:07 AM
    Mostly Husires doing it.
    Here are two more:

The following quizzes are worth adding as well [related to BTCitcoin]:

3672  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: CAN ANY ONE ACTUALLY LOAD A MOVO, CASHAPP,VENMO, OR CHIME ACCOUNT on: July 20, 2020, 07:18:25 AM
    @ND11
Have you tried using "LocalBitcoins [Venmo and Cash App]" and "Paxful [Venmo, Cash App and Chime]"?

Take note: I'm not vouching for these platforms but I've seen a lot of users recommending them.
    - Having said that, I've also read a lot of mixed reviews + there's always a risk of dealing with a scammer in such platforms.

    arent paypal transfers scams?
I believe the correct term is "reversible".
3673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: July 20, 2020, 05:39:18 AM
Manchester City will certainly lose their place at UCL next season even though they managed to rank second in the EPL standing this season. By the way, who deserves their place next season, is the team that finished 5th and who will qualify?
AFAIK, they won the battle to participate in UCL next season [unless something changed since last week].

David De Gea has been really awful today, he has to be blame for the loss, two errors from him,
Honestly, their defence was equally awful as well, especially for the second goal [they gave too much space away].

Since I don't really see any real chances for Watford against City and Arsenal they need to hope that both Aston Villa and Bournemouth dont win their games.
Regardless of issues surrounding Watford, they did manage to get a surprise win against Liverpool earlier in the season so I wouldn't rule them out completely.

I hope Arsenal wins it though. They really need a trophy.
They need it more for a place in UEL next season.
3674  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [LIST] VPN services to avoid on: July 19, 2020, 10:42:50 AM
in the hopes others will contribute to help newbies.  Please provide a valid link and any important details.
3675  Other / Meta / Re: [Quiz] Bitcointalk history of hacks on: July 18, 2020, 02:25:44 AM
    Got 8/10.

All questions and their answers are taken from this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4405796.0

Read it well because some questions ask how the hack occurred and what happened next.
Thanks for another quiz/challenge but you need to stop giving the source in your quizzes that easily...
    - Perhaps it's best if you added the source after the 10th question [if it's possible] or instead after 24/48 hrs on this thread.
    3676  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Roobet.com Signature Campaign | The Honest Online Casino | Full Members+ on: July 18, 2020, 02:04:56 AM
Please update to the below ASAP!
    Did as requested Smiley
    - Great designs.
3677  Economy / Services / Re: If in Canada Vancouver, I'll ask for Escrow for this Service, & Pay $500+lll on: July 17, 2020, 02:53:51 PM
    It looks quite young...
    - How old is this kitten? Less than 8 weeks?

I am going to sign an address, and prove I have access to greater then $1000 in Bitcoins, and add it to this post (Within 60 Minutes from now)
It appears you forgot to do this Wink

    @Aojeple

    • I would suggest changing the subject field to something like "[WTH] Someone in Canada (pick up in Edmonton/Delivery in Vancouver)"
      - Might help in getting more attention.
    • You might want to try persuading the seller for meeting halfway [it's way too far].

    https://www.aircanada.com/cargo/en/shipping/shipping-solutions/ac-live/
    ~Snipped~
...but seriously, look into using Air Canada or Westjet.
3678  Economy / Services / Re: need usa reshipper on: July 17, 2020, 01:21:08 PM
look for one usa reshipper who can stock products and repack and ship orders inside usa.

products are sourced from alibaba.com and are hot sale there.
Instead of looking for a person to do such a thing, I would advise using a reputable service like "Shipito [you can pay using BTCitcoin]".
    - Take note of their "Prohibited and Limited Items".
    3679  Other / Meta / Re: self-moderated/locked threads in marketplace section on: July 17, 2020, 10:41:16 AM
If marketplace threads are self-moderated it means that scammers can delete every warning post made in their thread and continue scamming like nothing happened.
    There's a workaround:
    - You can easily report them with the following tools...

If you can't self-moderate your thread, you can get attacked by competitors or trolls and there won't be anything you can do about it.
    In regards to competitors:

    • If there's a certain issue, I believe there's always a chance for proving others wrong.
    • If the issue is hijacking threads, "Report to moderator" button is your friend.

    In regards to trolls:

    • Since it's against the rules, vareole can report such posts.

Personally I think it needs to be restricted to junior members and up.

     ie no newbies
    +1
    - Jr. member is quite easy though [not that much impact], I would go with at least a Member rank.
3680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 17, 2020, 08:39:15 AM
the article as reported by Goal, Mikel Arteta can not guarantee whether Ozil will be in the remainder of the 2019/20 season or not.
Mesut Ozil's situation at Arsenal is so confusing, you could look at the Arsenal squad, without too many quality players and wonder why Ozil doesn't play or at least make the matchday squad and prolly start on the bench and come on as a sub.
He's too lazy to track back and win balls, makes little to no efforts and at the same time has the highest wage in the club.

    Ozil was exquisite during his time in Madrid, and has also has a few good spells at Arsenal;
He belongs to a team that normally dictates the game while having more possession than its opponent.

IIRC, he was at one time in his career nicknamed the assist king, how has he gone from that to this?
Perhaps it has something to do with him focusing in playing games and streaming them instead of his work rate in the field.

    - Just read a couple of rumors about him leaving for Turkey [Fenerbahçe] after his current contract ends.

Looks like "Kia Joorabchian [agent]" is pushing Arsenal to sign both Coutinho and Willian [source].
    - Even though he pulled something like this for West Ham [IIRC], Can't see this happening for Arsenal.
