It hasn't stayed over $1000 entirely, but it's good to see the the price remain over $1000 for a while. People have to adapt to seeing the price at these levels as they were used to levels a few hundred $ lower. It will take time before people gain enough confidence to support these levels. I wouldn't be surprised if the price happens to fall back below $1000 again. Price range should be somewhere between $900 and $1100 in the coming weeks.
Look again. Bitcoin has been $1000+ since February 3, so that's 3 days in a row. They tried to crash the price below $1000 in several occasions (notice the sudden dips) and they failed to bring it below $1000, it was close but it quickly goes up again. $1000 is becoming the new floor. It would be really nice if 1000 becomes the new floor. It is very possible since it took quite a time before we reach this level organically. There were times were the price was pumped to reached 1000 but now it inched its way to it. |

Bitcoin formed a very nice graph. It is not just bitcoin that is smiling these days. All bitcoin believers and hodlers are smiling as the price is nearing the new ATH. It does not matter if the first ATH is fake or not, it is recorded and it will appear in the graph. We recovered from that fall and now we are in realistic price hike.

If you have nothing to do with your 0.01 BTC, you can invest them. Even if it is earning pennies than not earning at all. If it is just lying around in your wallet, it will not earn anything. But once you put it on an investment, it will start earning. Overtime, those pennies will stack up and will become a full dollar, which you can add to your investment.
It is good to start with a large capital, but there is nothing wrong with starting small and making it big in the process.

We all want that to happen. But we must be realistic here, 2000 is still to high to reach with a very short period of time.
There are a lot good things that is about to happen with bitcoin this year. But recent events, like too many unconfirmed transactions and too long confirmation time is putting doubt in my mind. I would be happy if we reach a new ATH and be able maintain it that way.

Suprisingly, the price is holding just above 1000 for a few days now. The price is going sideways, going up for about 1025 and down to 1010. I hope this holds for a few more days then we can really say goodbye to 3 digits and start working up to 2000.

Now we see why bitcoin cannot go mainstream yet. Only 50000 plus transactions and we are already seeing very high transaction fees and very long confirmation time. I just transfer bitcoin yesterday with 30K sats fee and still took half day to confirm. I do not know why we have 50K transactions, whether it is spam or generic, but I think that is causing too much fee and confirmation time.

Yes, multiple times now. There are times in the past that I am financially in a pinch, but my savings in bitcoin helped me thru it. I will not say that this is a function of bitcoin because any currency can be saved and used for emergency. But thru bitcoin, there are things online that I can do now that will earn me extra money. Like doing signature campaign, and sometimes, trading helped me get some additional income which I can save for the future. Right now, thru bitcoin, I am able to save for some investments.

I also was a premium member of clixsense for two years. What I can say is, doing task and surveys or ptc is so time consuming with too little pay. I only lasted two years because I have referrals who are active and giving me decent income per month. When they left clixsense, I also stopped doing it. It is just not worth it if you are earning alone.

A year ago, reaching 1000 is already moon to me. Now that it is here, I think I want more.
It have been steadily above 1000 for almost a day now. I was waiting for the dump but it never came. Maybe the profit was still too small. It may never go to the moon yet, but we can consider this as our new low.

The correction happened three weeks ago when the price dropped to 800 and stayed 900 for two weeks. This is now the price increase after that. This got me scared. I am also not using 2FA in my poloniex account. I thought it is an extra hassle and if I lost my cellphone I cannot access my account anymore. But since I read about this, I immediately activated 2FA. Better safe than sorry.

No one follows panic traders, or FUD starters. If you really are a trader, you will follow technical analysis and reliable news. You make your own analysis and make your trades accordingly. If you keep on following others and let them make trades for you, you are bound to lose your money. You do not want that. You have to make your own trades so that you will not blame others if things went wrong.

Calm your self. We just barely touched 1000$. Let us first see if bitcoin can hold that price. Honestly, I do not want it jumping to 2000$. I want it to slowly rise and reach that price. If it just surges to 2000$, chances are, people will just start dumping their bitcoins and bag their profit. Then bitcoin will be down again. Let us take this one step at a time. 1200 first, then 1400, 1600, 1800 then 2000. I do not care if it takes another year or 5 years as long as it is a generic growth, it is fine with me.

When trading, I don't like a long wait (maximum 1 week), whatever happens if I loss, I will sell. I think 1 week is sufficient time to make decisions sell, if loss although we wait any longer will also loss.
Why would you sell on a loss, are you giving away your bitcoin? How could you lose if you will hold a little longer on your trades. I do not get the logic. There is no additional fees if you will keep your orders open. So even if it takes a month before your order is filled, you will pay just the same fees. I think you need to review your trading techniques so you can avoid selling at a loss or at least have a little patience on your trades. |

Some people just love it when they win over a very difficult odds. I do not gamble now but back then I gamble just because I want to beat the odds. Well it was the first cryptocurrency ever created, so it is just normal the it is number 1 for now. But there is a lot of competition trying to solve the weakness of bitcoin. If bitcoin will fail to adopt in the future or if it fails to scale, there will be a chance another cryptocurrency will take its place. There are some good alt-coins coming out and under good developers with good road maps.

Has Bitcoin finally overcome its infancy and beginning its teenage and acceptance in the world? Will 2017 be a good year? I think it will, maybe the best so far.
Bitcoin have a very good start this year. Aside from the price finally pushing to 1000 above, there are a line up of good developments happening for bitcoin within this year. So I agree, this is the year of bitcoin. This might even be the year that it finally starts to be massively adopted. |

Yes, there will be no possibility for another dump after reaching $1000 price levels. If we closely watch market movements, unlike last time, bitcoin prices are rallying very strongly toward those 4 digit magic levels. Maybe some $10 to $25 bull back will be possible due to profit booking but market will bounce back for sure due to its slow and steady nature.
This is what I am expecting also. That is why I am closely monitoring the price right now since it very near 1000$. Once it hit my target price, I will sell some bitcoins and wait for it to fall back down again to less than 900 before I buy some bitcoin back. I hope this strategy works for me. 988 US Dollars confirmed in Bitstamp as of less than 10 minutes ago. We are now heading towards $1000, it is a matter of mere hours, unless the sub $1000 resistance presents any problems, if not, then we are heading towards all time high again, and this time, the chinese can't crash the market again, they know that if they do that too often, it will show that their FUD statements are useless. They are increasingly weaker, bitcoin keeps climbing and just doesnt give a fuck.
They may not crash the market but they can still cause the price to fall significantly. |
