3681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find private groups that pump altcoins? on: March 22, 2017, 07:28:42 AM
you sound like someone who wants to get dumped on Smiley

how these "private" groups work is that there is one or at most 3 guys working together and buy a coin when it is cheap then they go to the so called group and tell them to buy said coin and as soon as they start buying and price goes a bit high they dump on them.

in other words the group means one guy selling his cheap bought coins to multiple newbies who trusted him.

Sometimes there are people sending "*****bank",etc,
is not it a violation of the rules to have multiple accounts? Huh
No. You are allowed to have more than 1 account, usually people also have their own bank account. FYI you aren't allowed to join in any contest in Bitsler with your other account

does anyone know why they do this?
i have always seen these "tips" from xyz to xyzBank and i have never been able to figure out what could possibly be the reason why anyone would do such a thing! what is the point anyways, just keep in one account or withdraw to your wallet if you want.
3683  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is more risky? Skill-based gambling or trading? on: March 21, 2017, 05:12:14 AM
when there of manipulation in trading you still have funds but in gambling when there was manipulation your funds will be lost and nothing left so I think skill-based gambling more risky

haha, good point and also on top of that if you find the manipulation in trading markets you can actually use it to your own advantage. for example when you find some FUD or the opposite when you find some pump and dump you can take the full advantage to either buy cheap coins in the first one or to join and dump in the second one to make a big profit.
but if you get manipulated in gambling (lets say in a poker game that is rigged and other party sees your cards) you can not do anything about it.
3684  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading on: March 21, 2017, 05:04:59 AM
In altcoin trading,is day trading profitable or trading on a long term basis?
There is profit but not that much.

what do you call "not much"?
a 3% profit in a couple of hours isn't much? because you can do that in day trading altcoins. it is hard and i usually don't suggest it but i do it sometimes and it is possible to do. and make at least 3-5% in very short term in rising markets and get out. and there are times that a big pump happens and you can make a big 50%-100% profit in a day or two. and we have all seen them many times.
3685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Litecoin (The Ultimate Question) on: March 21, 2017, 04:49:42 AM
Bitcoin will not be $7500 in 2 years unless something happens that can speed up the process of adoption. we can not predict that part but it will still be adopted and more people will invest in it because it is the ONLY trusted cryptocurrency with no bullshit and no bug and no premine. that is why i predict a price around $2500 to $3000 in 2 years.

litecoin however is still small and an altcoin. it will rise as it is the only altcoin i know which has real usage and people are actually using it as a currency in very small scale. it is being developed and the developers are in fact good not just some random guy pushing useless code like 90% of the altcoins.
again it is hard to predict, i expect if litecoin activates SegWit it can literary go to the moon. as in rise up to $100 in a couple of months and if not it can still grow. in two years i expect at least $10-$50 specially because all other useless junk has disappeared by then.
3686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs ETH vs Dash? on: March 21, 2017, 04:41:25 AM
you guys keep praising Ethereum and its features and claim it is good and the reason for the rise.

did you know Lisk is doing the same thing but much easier, much more efficiently and it does it with JavaScript which is so much better and more multi platform-friendly Smiley

do you know why Lisk price is low! because these features you keep claiming to be good and useful is not being used by anyone and probably nobody is going to use it in the future either. well apart from making another DAO on ethereum and make shitloads of money and cause another ETH/ET.. fork
3687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Mining pools spamming the network with fake transactions? on: March 21, 2017, 04:28:39 AM
Are Mining pools spamming the network with fake transactions to prop up transaction fees and push a false narrative about full blocks to support BU and usurp the power to adjust block size?
Or am I just crazy?  Its my personal belief that 80 to 90% of all transactions are fake.

things that we know:
* there is a spam attack, and no it is not 80-90%. even before the spam attack also when it stops there are still lots of transactions (1000-3000 per 10 minutes)
* this spam attack has increased the fees and as a result the revenue of miners (i've said this before and nobody paid much attention https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1811430.0) that is why i say even if it is miners who are spamming they are not doing it to force "adjustment of block size".
* and it has started again. it was only a short couple of days they stopped

... cause a contentious Hard-fork for no other reason then to sell off a new asset (the tens of thousands of BTU coins) and then go back to mining bitcoins and avoid all blame by pushing the blame on BU. ...
i disagree with this too.
the risk is so much higher. there are some things that you can not come back from.
3688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HUUUGE CRASH COMING on: March 20, 2017, 06:08:21 AM
I predict everything is going to crash dramatically in the following days and weeks. Crypto has a balance problem with running between absolute bearish and absolute crazy bullish. So we again ran too far too quickly and it's all coming down.

This is the natural way things work, when they get "pumped" they need to get dumped right after so that people can take their money out, so they wait for the top then unload their stash to get the 100%-300% profit and then move on with that money to a newer altcoin and make the same profit there while the last one slowly dies until the next round.

BTC back to 750 at least.

your mistake is thinking bitcoin has gone up without any reason and also comparing it with altcoins! but bitcoin is the only crypto with real adoption because of its real world usage.

and the ONLY reason why it has dropped down recently is because of FUD and the fear that is stupidly in people's minds thinking bitcoin will split.

Most alts 30-40% drop....probably much more.

try 60% to 80%!
as i said above, when there is a pump there will be a dump. no matter how good or bad that altcoin is, there needs to be a correction. people don't buy altcoins to "use" they buy them to sell on top and make profit and selling means price drops.
3689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Thousands Of Bitcoins Because Of Volatility on: March 20, 2017, 05:57:58 AM
lost thousands of bitcoin? really? how many thousands? 1? 2? 10? and how did you lose that? you want us to believe you had 1,200,000 to 12,000,000 USD and lost it?

was your wallet hacked because you were incapable of making a cold storage or setting a password for encrypting it?

or did you lose that much in trading? well price only fell about 14% from the top so that means to lose 1000BTC you needed to have 7142BTC.

or maybe you were talking about satoshi Grin

Enough Bitcoin for me, i am in Altcoin section because i want exchange my bitcoins to more stable crypto and i need your recommendations.

have you ever seen a price chart of any of these altcoins before? if not i suggest taking a quick peek at the charts with 1 day interval while showing ALL of the history.
3690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy back up! (again) on: March 20, 2017, 05:48:12 AM
I can`t afford to be so optimistic.I think that this price fall will be stable and the price will return back to $1200
during the summer.
I don't think that the fall will be stable at all, I think that with a hard fork approaching the price will be all over the place for at least a month until everyone gets their act together (and, if the fork happens, which coin is going to fail).

there is no hard fork approaching you have naively fallen for the FUD campaign to decrease the price or maybe you are posting this as a part of the FUD campaign against bitcoin.
3691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Even now in 2017, why is bitcoin *still* not accepted as a major currency? on: March 20, 2017, 05:40:24 AM
Doesn't make any sense TBH. We should've seen it starting to replace conventional currencies by now.

as far as i can remember bitcoin has never been planning on "replacing" conventional currencies. you can see topics about when will it happen but they are just random users talking about it.

and the reason it is not accepted as a currency yet are these:
- people don't want to spend their coins, they want to HODL and make profit (more fiat!!!).
- the price is volatile so that may scare some people from seeing bitcoin as a currency.
- there aren't enough shops accepting it and the big ones like Amazon for example doesn't still allow bitcoin.

A Scene at my local grocery:
me: let me pay for my milk with bitcoin here
cash register person: Hmm...OK
me: I scanned my bar code, so it is done
cash register person: i don't see a confirmation
me: let's wait a little
people in line: grumble, grumble, grumble
cash register person: Mr, please stay aside
me, 13 min later: what's the heck...forget about it...here is $5
Right there is the problem ... couldn't be better explained !

actually he is explaining a very hypothetical situation. and if you or him ever tried buying something with your bitcoin in real life you could have known this too.
3692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Planned or impulsive gambling? on: March 20, 2017, 05:34:59 AM
Hi guys!
I was always curious if the most of the gamblers have "scheduled" their gambling time or you just go gambling whenever you're in the mood.
What about you? Is there any specific time you gamble? Week(ends) days? Or just randomly spread ?
Let us know Wink

well i mostly gamble whenever i have some free time, which is not a lot these days. and that is mainly because i think of it as a game and to play a game you need to have some spare time. and obviously some money that you want to spend and in case of gambling some amount of money that you are willing to take risk on to make profit or lose.
but in the end i am gambling in the weekends one way or another Grin
3693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ***Lisk, a bull market you don't want to miss.*** on: March 19, 2017, 07:33:55 AM
But unlike Ethereum , Lisk uses Javascript to facilitate its smart contracts. This makes the platform accessible to a wide variety of people.

this have always been a big difference in a good way and it is being overlooked by many.

thanks it was useful.

Lisk at this point has a lot of potential of growth. not only because of it being a good coin with lot to offer and also not only because it has reached the bottom and now there is no way to go but UP.
but also because all the altcoins are rising, and getting pumped and you can't always pump one coin (eth, dash, ...) forever, investors who are cashing out from those big coins are now investing in the next coin to make profit while those big coins are getting dumped and price of them dropping.

that being said, it is perfectly possible for Lisk to rise big time, and specially because it is very cheap it can rise a lot easier because it is always easier to go from 0.0001BTC to 0.003BTC for example than it is to go from 0.01BTC to 0.3BTC
3694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A online game use bitcoin as payment? on: March 19, 2017, 07:06:22 AM
A online game use bitcoin as payment?
Yes! That would help because most of the people who are familiar on this can easily cope with the proposal for every transaction. And maybe all gamers will be using bitcoin right now!
here in our country we have that kind of application which is you can use bitcoin to buy game credits. It is very possible as long as you have a reliable site or application that is accepting bitcoin exchange with game credits.

what would be the point of that?
you are just taking an extra step. why not just play with bitcoin directly? and that is what all the online casinos i have seen have been doing. you go in, deposit some bitcoin, play, and in the end withdraw all your funds if you want.
buying "game credit" means you deposit bitcoin once, buy credit, then play, and in the end you have to convert it back to bitcoin to withdraw! and how will that be calculated? based on USD value of bitcoin or 1:1 with bitcoin
3695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much money do you invest in alt coins? on: March 19, 2017, 06:58:47 AM
as much as i can afford to lose
that goes for any kind of investment, obviously! but when it comes to investing in altcoins you have to know that they are not exactly rising and falling because of "real adoption" or in other words there is no real "demand" for almost all of them. (i say almost because i believe coins like Monero have some real demand and usage even if it is in dark market).

in short that means they get "pump and dumped" and if you get caught in the hype and buy into the pump or hesitate to sell on top you will lose a lot of money because when the dump comes, it will come pretty hard.
3696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy back up! (again) on: March 19, 2017, 06:50:24 AM
Where are all the traders that say HODL! right now? Grin

I am here and i am still HODLing. do you have any questions for me? Cheesy

I can`t afford to be so optimistic.I think that this price fall will be stable and the price will return back to $1200
during the summer.

mmm, the rise may not happen today or this week but it certainly won't take 4+ months to go back to $1200. many have been already buying back in the $9xx range.

Anyway, i sold my bitcoins for $1450 per btc and made some profit, instead of holding thm while btc loses value.

are you sure you sold to $ as in US dollar? because there has been no exchange with $1450 price unless you sold for something like paypal or some other country's dollar which is worth less USD Smiley
3697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Satoshi see value in miners and not developers? on: March 19, 2017, 06:42:07 AM
The Bitcoin system rewards miners for their contributions both now and in the future.

What is/was Satoshi's intended reward for the developers after he left us?
How does "proper" funding for the Bitcoin project work in the real world?

in the "real world" of open source programming NOBODY codes for money. take a look at other couple of million open source projects, big or small. none of them are doing it for the money. that is kinda what the license (MIT license) is about.
whether small projects on github or huge ones such as linux distros such as Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, Arch, .... none of them are doing it for money.

and in my opinion the day developers start working for money that would be the worst kind of centralization aka power grab. and in which case we are better off using fiat and banks if that happens.
3698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how has your attitude to bitcoin changed the longer you've been into it? on: March 19, 2017, 06:35:23 AM
well if i want to be perfectly honest i got in to make profit and to be even more honest i am still caring about making profit from bitcoin. but over time other things became more important to me also.
it is best if i say "to get benefits" when using bitcoin, benefits such as more money when price goes up, the anonymity and privacy that i get, the cheap transactions, the security an most important one of all "the decentralization".
also i became more interested in the technology and always want to learn more about it, although i still have a lot to learn.

I swear in the last while the off-topic spam-tard's account farming moved into ALT main.
Last couple weeks i have seen a massive increase in super stupid questions..
ALL by brand new accounts then answered swiftly by other brand new accounts.

that may be but also some people are way too lazy to use a quick and simple google search to find some basic stuff.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_and_dump

p.s. i loved this photo:

it is from 1720 and is someone who is selling stocks in the streets during a bubble because of pump and dump!

talk about the oldest trick in the book eh!
