2681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling vs Panic buying on: November 03, 2017, 06:37:03 AM
it is usually called FOMO (fear of missing out).

and in any market there will always be people who make irrational rushed decisions like this. these people think of trading as a form of gambling. they think all the profit and loss they are experiencing is purely based on their luck and nothing else. they know nothing of speculation and analysis and make rather random decisions.
in bitcoin and mostly altcoins these people have a bigger portion of the market but as the market grows like bitcoin's their portion becomes smaller and with it their effect on the price.
2682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the rise of New Cryptocurrencies and Tokens overshadow Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2017, 07:30:39 AM
"A few cryptocurrencies are rising in value and some feature faster processing times and lower fees. These are attributes that are favorable for a retail payment system. These upstart coins include Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and others, to name a few.
i don't know to be surprised or not to see bitcoin.com post this!
we all know ETH and DASH have terrible scaling issues. and worst thing is that ETH is not even a currency which the developers even state this multiple times, yet they say "payment"!

Quote
The total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies is $184.5 billion as of November 1, and Bitcoin’s $109.4 billion market cap represents 59.7% of that.
that is only because "creating" market cap is easy. you just have to release some shitcoin with a lot of supply. let say 100 billion and that will "Create" market cap out of nowhere but that is just fake number increasing this total market  cap in a fake way.

Quote
BTC’s dominance continues as the most popular and valuable coin. However, Bitcoin’s market share has somewhat eroded as more coins enter the marketplace and investors diversify their holdings.
bitcoin's dominance has always been the same. it has all the market share of businesses which have adopted cryptocurrencies as payment.
the trading volume has always been the highest and the most consistent which stays up always not just during the pumps like altcoins.

Quote
Cryptos have different features which means coins differentiate themselves by being useful for specific applications.
true, but they are all "features" and features without "applications" mean nothing.
2683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold ETH or exchange it for BTC and hold BTC? on: November 02, 2017, 07:04:51 AM
when you are talking about price of an altcoin against bitcoin, you should always sell that altcoin for bitcoin whenever bitcoin price is rising because in order for these altcoins (mostly bigger ones that also have a fiat market) to keep their USD price up they have to get dumped against bitcoin. otherwise they are going to rise, and that is not possible!
as an example you can see that ETH is falling hard against bitcoin and that even causes it to lose some USD value because dump travels from market to market.
2684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you going to do before segwit 2X ? on: November 02, 2017, 06:49:35 AM
What are you going to do before segwit 2X ? what is your tactic ? all in BTC ? hodl ? sale before 2X ?

sell is not an option at all. i am in bitcoin and i do believe that it will survive all this nonsense and comes out every stronger each time. but i am still in it with amount of money i can afford to lose, i am never all in anything.
i will continue to hold and wait for more profit on the bitcoins that i currently hold. each time a fork happens like this i get a little richer.
2685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin up Altcoin down | what is your trading strategy? on: November 01, 2017, 08:01:54 AM
these days i prefer staying away from altcoins. i find it a much safer strategy rather than trying to make any profit out of them. they are like falling knives right now and catching them can cause more harm to me than good.

i stay away, have my mind at ease and my money safe, then when the altcoin pumps began i'll make sure to come back and invest with a fresh strength and a calm mind.
in my personal experience whenever i keep my investment in altcoins and try to fight the market when i know i can't, i go mad and that means making bad decisions and they lead to loss of money.
2686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin’s Charlie Lee: GBMiners Has Stopped Signaling For 2x Bitcoin Hardfork on: November 01, 2017, 07:43:25 AM
first of all nobody has been "signalling" for SegWit2x so far. what they are doing is not called "signalling" they just have  a string in their coinbase transaction showing they were a part of New York Agreement.
secondly you are posting a week old news by the biggest bullshitter of news sites called cryptocoinsnews.

maybe Charlie Lee was trolling again, but cryptocoinsnews failed once again to fact check what they publish.
here is the block they mined on 27th:
https://blockchain.info/tx/f2b7d7f6c0dea618cfb9774fad5f93dc8d64bb18a5043a9dd19bf758f2c43665?show_adv=true you can see the NYA bullshit is still in their coinbase transaction meaning they have been "signalling" for it when the article was published and if you check the latest they are still signalling https://blockchain.info/blocks/GBMiners

in short stop posting any link to cryptocoinsnews, anything out of them is pure click-bait. Cheesy
2687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Resistance level of BTC on: November 01, 2017, 07:33:38 AM
What resistance levels do you have for BTC, and at which level would you buy a lot of BTC if it got there?

for bitcoin, it is hard to talk about resistance levels. there are always technical analysis that you can use to figure out those lines but i never liked them because they never are 100% correct in general and their accuracy drops harder when it is in bitcoin.

generally speaking i buy bitcoin whenever i have money. but i also buy more than usual whenever i see a dip. it doesn't matter how low the dip went or even will possibly go after i buy, what matters is that i believe bitcoin will rise a lot more than any price that i can see now. and because of that my investment today will be worth a lot tomorrow.

i said the same thing to the same question when price was $400! it dropped to $350 and i bought my ass off. i will say the same thing in a couple of years about buying at $7000
2688  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much price BTC 1 January 2018? on: November 01, 2017, 07:23:30 AM
i say lets wait for the SegWit2x drama to finish and at least 1 month passes from it, and if we continue seeing this rally and price at least keeps up above $6000 until that time, we can be absolutely sure that price will continue up to be at least $12,000 in 2018. and that is the minimal target.

but things are never predictable with bitcoin, the 2x thing can go either way now that we don't know about miners decisions.
2689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Funny: "Nigerian" Scams Shifting To Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 07:15:47 AM
sometimes some of these scams are pretty funny. some scammers are way too lazy to even come up with an elaborate scheme to rob people. they want everything to be easiest and cheapest possible. i pity those who fall for these types of scams because they are the biggest idiots in the whole world. i mean if you want to be robbed at least be robbed by someone who is smart not some lazy ass idiot with not enough IQ to come up with a better plan. Cheesy
2690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading strategy before the fork in mid-nov on: October 31, 2017, 07:32:38 AM
i am expecting a drop before the fork but i was actually expecting this drop to happen these days but as you can see price is rising so i am not so sure about my strategy regarding this November fork. the drops always happen far before the fork not the day of the fork or even after it. and since we are only a couple of weeks away from this fork we may not even see any considerable drop apart from small corrections.

because of this i do what i always do when i fail to predict, i just hold bitcoin and start trading altcoins that i can predict better or for example altcoins that i see are getting pumped.
2691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell my airdropped tokens quickly or hold on to them? on: October 31, 2017, 07:18:03 AM
generally yes, you should dump them quickly as soon as you receive them.

you said you already have tokens from the airdrops you claimed so you can just check their performance and see how much money you lost and how much money you earned by holding!
but generally speaking most people dump their coins when they receive them, and that means price will drop no matter what that token is. which means the faster you dump the more profit you gain.

not to mention most of these airdrops are useless projects that will drop hard in the future anyways, which makes holding them a big mistake.

if you believe in a project's future then you can buy after the dump inside the dip. in other words you receive your token, dump them fast then wait for the dumping to slow down or stop and then buy back what you sold and wait for the rise.
2692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: electrum for BTG on: October 31, 2017, 07:07:42 AM
nothing about bitcoin gold (BTG) is ready. how do you think someone could make an Electrum wallet for something that is not yet ready?
they are still working on mining algorithm to change PoW to EquiHash and it is not yet finished. they merged a new PR 11 hours ago about this and as far as i can tell neither this nor the replay protection nor the premine is finished.

anything you see as Electrum for BTG is a big ass SCAM without a doubt.
2693  Economy / Speculation / Re: Since B2X will not have replay protection... on: October 31, 2017, 06:59:08 AM
...should we buy it?
nothing named B2X exists for you to buy it or not. there is only a future market in bitfinex which is best that you stay away from it.

Quote
Because as I read, if there's no replay protection, so for every B2X dumped, there will be a equal number of BTC dumped. If someone sell one B2X, they will be selling one BTC to the same recipient.
then you are reading false information or maybe interpreting it wrong.
as i said there is no B2X to have or don't have replay protection, so all the arguments about it is pointless.
and even if it didn't have when it was released, then it wouldn't have anything to do with "Dumping" you dump on the exchange and buy it there, and for that there is no BTC to be dumped, you bought B2X after the fork.

what they say about replay protection is that if there were none and you spend coins on one chain and the same transaction will be valid on the other chain. for that you have to have bitcoin before the fork and also you have to spend it.
SegWit2x already has an Opt In replay protection by the way, and when they release they may even add a strong one or it may even die before being released.
2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold a Funeral ? on: October 31, 2017, 06:52:47 AM
[snip]

People like U, like to compare BTG to ETH, look ETH is backed by REAL PHD's who spent their lives on this work and ETH made it work before it was released.

BTG on the other hand is all done in secrecy by masked people in CHINA, and then this prof starbuck ( github btcgpu ) they put in charge 2 weeks just did a video, in a smoke filled room with dirty-curtains, and a picture on a wall crooked, explaining why BTG is 'late' because they got ""DOS'd", turns out they didn't even use real servers, they used K-MART go-daddy and got dox'd

To compare a BTG which is owned by a GUY that own's 100's of similar alt-coin domains with ETH is insane, its just goes to show everyone here that the criminals that run BTG and all these alt's pay people to post on this forum.

All the people involved in ETH were famous before they even started ETH. All the people involved in BTG are known criminals.

i am not comparing ETH with BTG although they are both useless shitcoins.
i am just mentioning the similarities. things such as the the premine (72 million ETH versus 0.2 million BTG) the mineability of BTG and the potential that can offer for a pump in the future of it.
and in the end whether you accept it or not, both of them are same pump and dump scheme, one having a much bigger advertising campaign than the other.
2695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Can Bitcoin Be Mainstream? on: October 31, 2017, 06:47:39 AM
it is always tough to speculate about things that need adoption because that process alone may take a long time or a short time based on different factors. for example so far until this year the adoption was always a slow process with small growth each day but when Japan adopted bitcoin it suddenly grew a lot and that was a big step towards mass adoption and going mainstream.

we can't really tell when or what mainstream is going to be like. but we can say that we are on the way. we can see it happening already with new businesses shaping up, or old ones integrating bitcoin in their systems.
2696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gold electrum wallet. on: October 29, 2017, 07:24:12 AM
it is btcoin gold wallet ?
https :// btcgpu[dot]me/

no it is not, that website is a scam. the project code is not yet finished which means even if you wanted you couldn't have made a wallet and release it! there is no blockchain for bitcoin gold either!

if you download the binary that website offers, it will most probably steal your private keys and both your bitcoin and bitcoin gold from you and before you know it, all your funds will be gone.

always use the official websites to check and see if they mention any wallet:

2697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gunbot vs Leonardo on: October 29, 2017, 07:16:40 AM
Hi, nobody know about leonardo vs gunbot ?

Gunbot is a bot that does automatic buying and selling in Poloneix, i dont know about leanorda but i do not recommend using boots. I have security concerns. You also need information to become a trader.

i understand your concerns about security, i have them myself about anything that is closed source but it really is not a big  concern since these bots have been around for a while and their creators are trusted enough.

what should concern you regarding bots is not understanding how they and more importantly the market works. i have seen people complain losing money using these bots but when you ask more about their issue you understand that they never understood how to choose a market, what to buy and generally how trading works and how they should speculate.
most people think a bot is what you download and click the "Start" button to make money automatically!
2698  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Big News From China" is spreading false information, Exchangers are banned ! on: October 29, 2017, 07:06:59 AM
As much as we want them to be back in the ecosystem though, they have damage their reputation already. They have put a significant dent around the market last month. However, it seems that we are doing ok without them, so as the saying goes, don't fix it if ain't broken, so we might as well continue to moved forward without China because we have already proven that we can survived without them.

i disagree.
in my experience China has always been just an excuse to cause panic in the market and they are an excellent source of FUD because of the language difference and hardness of verifying the news and also because their government is known to do strange stuff like banning exchanges out of nowhere! also the fact that the Chinese volume have been large helped with the panic.
what i am trying to say is that what you call "dent around the market" would have happened even if it weren't for China. they would have used something else for FUD.
2699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we explain that the bitcoins is not a scam on: October 29, 2017, 06:55:45 AM
if anyone ever doubts what bitcoin is you can always show them the reality of what bitcoin is by redirecting them to all the big places that are accepting bitcoin. there are already multiple topics about it and with a quick google search you can find much bigger lists.

my favorite are these: Microsoft, Overstock, Steam, Dell and of course Japan accepting bitcoin as payment. showing them a couple of these should be more than enough for anyone to understand why "those people on TV" are full of shit when they call bitcoin "Fraud" Wink
2700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privatekey Generator on: October 29, 2017, 06:49:45 AM
generating private key is what all the bitcoin wallets do! in simple terms the process it is finding a number in a huge range of numbers and then convert that number to a user friendly formal called base58 formatting which means it will be a string starting with 5 or K or L.

private key finder, is nothing that can exist! you can not find private keys and the term may be used by some scammer trying to give you malware.

if you have something more specific in mind then clarify your question.
