All you guys that love UNO so much should help make the UNO markets over at Cryptopia.. The main ones like UNO/BTC, UNO/DOT, UNO/LTC, and UNO/DOGE..

Throw some buy support in there guys, just a little will go a long way.. UNO is already quite a popular ALT there, it seems to me to be an up and coming exchange and might drag UNO up along with it.. Just like .5BTC total suport on those markets would be huge and really inspire confidence in UNO there I bet, and your support would be in cheap enough to actually WANT to get hit..

I have been keeping my buys at the tops of those markets for a while, all my topia dust..
3682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What unit do you find more comfortable when measuring BTC values? on: December 14, 2015, 05:08:47 PM
People will just have to get used to calculating their money in decimals, I don't think bits and mbits are going to catch on..

You have to understand BTC and SAT before you can understand bits and Mbits so it just adds another layer of complication..

I think it's easiest to say 33k sat, 512k sat, or 1.3m sat than to try to convert to the others..

3684  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is there any chance the fee will rise to replace block subsidy? on: December 14, 2015, 03:00:49 AM
How about we just let the miner bubble pop and half of them shut down instead of subsidizing them?

Not everyone that bought a miner can win no? They bought an investment, a risk, some are going to loose, let them loose..
3685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How could one prove that he/she/they is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: December 14, 2015, 02:18:06 AM
Do he/she/they sign a message from an address that is known to belong to Satoshi Nakamoto?

Yup..

Which addresses will Satoshi Nakamoto need to sign from then?

One of the old satoshi addys that still have its coins, or any known satoshi addy really I think..
3686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mirrax's HIGH RISK altcoin investment guide for 2016 on: December 14, 2015, 01:49:57 AM
I would add UNO to that list, I think there will come a recognition for old solid nonscam coins like that. Maybe ppc xpm dash too etc.
I don't have much faith in brand new coins, only for extremely short term daytrading..

Where is the "It has to BE Bitcoin" option?

I think just about any tech discovery any alt makes can be implimented in BTC if its good enough so BTC will still win..

The only alts I see really being successfull would be maybe DASH or some other anon altcoin that BTC cannot be if it wants to be mainstream due to gov't shiit..

Many coins may still be around in years but I don't see any of them threatening BTC..

3693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: December 14, 2015, 12:49:59 AM
First off gambling is not an investment, that is just paying BTC for entertainment and you will not profit..

For a good decently safe investment you could stick that BTC in polo's lending and let it sit there safely loaned out to mergin traders. It will generate a percentage return for you while its sitting but will be small. But it is pretty safe, no real risk except for polo itself goxing or something which I feel is highly improbable..

I have some of my spare BTC there collecting interest for me Smiley

Have you chosen an alt to move back out with or are you going to ride it out? It seems like most of the alts that can be withdrawn have a high premium, it might be lower than the UNO premium for some though, in which case you probably made 5%-20%, not 43%. but even 5% profit on an arbitrage trade is great, like instant free money.

The UNO/XRP price is absurdly high, way above even the UNO/BTC price on Cryptsy. However XRP is 25% cheaper on Cryptsy, it must be that XRP cannot be withdrawn either.

Doge out cost me 29% loss so 43% in-29% out = 14% gain overall...

You are correct that XRP also cannot be withdrawn.

Just arbed UNO from topia to cryptsy for >43% profit..

chaching

It's pretty cool how topia has such an active UNO market.. I think that is really neat..
3696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any chance for alts to come back? on: December 13, 2015, 04:31:56 AM
Yeah I see the oppertunities in alt trading deminishing, all these new coins I see are just ugh for the most part..

I think that if any are to come back what is going to happen is a major shitcoin cull where many are abandoned and a few of the OG coins that have stood the test of time and some of the coins with true technological development may rise once again.
3697  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Soft Fork to Increase the 21M Limit? on: December 13, 2015, 04:18:44 AM
technique can also be used to effectively raise the 21M limit

 moderate scarcity will be achieved.

Um no.. I am not for any increase of maximum coins over 21 million. I much prefer true scarcity over moderate scarcity any day. An increase of total coins in my eye is a betrayal and unneeded. If this were to happen I would probably get out, and I bet many many others would rush out too.

And for what? To pay the miners? Why would we need to subsidize the miners?
The miners made an investment, a bet, that they could ROI/profit whatever. If they bet wrong why should we give up the value of our coins to help them out?

Sorry you guys bought up all these miners and created a mining bubble that may be about to burst, but tough shit. I don't see anybody subsidizing me when I make a bad trade.

When the halving comes if BTC doesn't rise enough for all the miners to be profitable then I guess half of them will have to shut down before the remaining half will be operating in the green. It will still surely be plenty of hash to keep the network secure no?

"Lets increase the amount of total bitcoins to get these people out of a bad investment"... I think not..

When you invest in miners or anything you risk taking a loss VS the chance to profit. Yeah it sucks when you make a bad investment but that's the way it is and you should EAT IT just like everyone else.. I eat em all the time, why shouldn't the miners?
