I was under the impression that the freemason John McP and Horus John McP are two different John McP who both live in canada?

I have personally witnessed conversations on Cryptsy about Horus being a Freemason, with Horus, it was common knowledge to regulars really..

I can dump them at market on polo for you and send you the BTC..

Or I have enough BTC liquid to take 10-15 off your hands at a time.

You send first or escrow..

Coinomat-Laundromat

This has nothing to do with money laundering!!!!!!!

Can't believe nobody has said that in 5 pages..
3326  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Illegal things to buy!! on: April 13, 2016, 05:29:24 PM
There is no way to detect a illegal transaction.I doubt even in future this feature will ever be implemented. How can you decide if a transaction is illegal ? Volume of the trade ? Bitcoin address associated with it ? All the blockchain does is process the transactions by keeping them public regardless of who or what is being the address is used for.
Yeah sometimes blockchain check on some mysterious transaction such as what you have said. And blockchain doesn't just process transactions .

Are you talking about blockchain.info or THE Bitcoin blockchain?

If you are talking about the Bitcoin blockchain then no it does not check any mysterious transactions.

If you are talking about blockchain.info then no this..
Well as we all know that whenever we transact it always go through blockchain first.
Is not true..

3328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A warning to Bitcoin users believing this will take over payment systems on: April 13, 2016, 12:32:03 PM
Bitcoin is most definitely "great"!

There are tons of things you can do with BTC that you cannot do with credit/debit cards, not to mention you personally being in control of your money to where no 3rd party can stop you..

Look buddy, I don't know who you think you are but it is quite obvious that you know nothing about me..

I could hardly be attributed as being part of the UNO community and frankly I don't know WTF you are talking about.. You missed by 100 miles..

I am not your buddy!

however I missed 100 miles, it was close enough for you to shoot back  Wink

What exactly is your angle here friend?

I am also not your friend.

My angle? you mean my point of view about this whole cryptsy collapse? I am not sure...

By all means it exposes how an exchange laundry machine, developers copy cloners and advertising people scammers cooperated with each other.
That if they work closely together they "earn steal" a lot of money from the investors naive people.

But what if one of the group (read cryptsy) becomes very greedy and steals from the copy cloners/scammers...what is then good justice? Give the money back to the cloners and scammers? nah..back to the investors? how will you do that, you can't distinguish between a scammer and an investor just looking at a wallet...

My coins may be given to a charity if they will ever be recovered. But my charity is not Paul Vernon Tongue and also not the UNO "community" (consisting of handful people with multiple accounts posting in a moderated thread) Wink

Coins should be given back to whoever can rove their balances at Cryptsy.. Simple..

Are you advocating that the coins not be given back to the owners because they are UNO "community" members? What exactly have they done so wrong?

Any why choose ME for your attack bro?

The Cryptsy UNO cold wallet going to Bittrex is extremely fishy..
No way any moron would have thought that they could do it like that and make off with selling them and the BTCs...

It's almost like they were surrendered back to the community, passing the buck/responsibility to trex.

What do you think? You really think Vern is THAT stupid? Maybe it as another hacker surrendering those coins back to the people or something?

Serious??
The UNO "community" posting in the scam accusations thread  Shocked
Who is next? Balu2? gustav? smalltimer? Falling knife? or somebody else who can't spell "caveat emptor" Tongue
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=299308.msg10667896#msg10667896

Busted in the thread from XJO, another coin from the UNO "developer" Willow Rosenborg (now posting under another name, and also active in this thread + UNO thread).

Ironic that they finally are posting in the section where they should be posting...
Also ironic that one scam group (cryptsyteam) hurts the other scammer....I would not know if the coins are retrieved from "the hacker" to whom they should be returned....back to the scammers ??

who's nukefxr??

nukefxr is an OG cryptsy trader from a ways back, Cryptsy trollbox friend of mine from the UNB era if you will..

By the look of it he noticed the huge wallet on Trex and notified thunderjet. Thunderjet was really active in the last days/months of Cryptsy in the trollbox sharing all of his blockchain forensics findings with us and he became the go-to guy to find out the latest of what's going on..

nukefxr is a cool cat, hope he chimes in.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=202332

He was involved with UNB with me way back and he still seems to be involved with Blasko on BitcointalkRaio.

3336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Lend your doges @ 5% (Poloniex) on: April 11, 2016, 06:26:20 AM
Is the default risk taken by Poloniex or the lender? In other words, if the person who borrowed from me went on to lose everything, does Poloniex pay me back or am I out of luck?

He can't lose everything because he would be margin called first and you get your BTC back..
3337  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Taking Advantage of Poloniex exchange on: April 11, 2016, 06:24:28 AM
But what is the monthly return from doing this?

It depends on hat the % fees are trading at at the time but I'd say that averages at about .125% per day X30=3.75% per month..

Any additional earnings on top of that from the loaning method I have had make up to 60k sat per day extra with .5 BTC. But that is just extra on top of the %..
In the example in the OP, the interest rate is 0.05% per day, and the current market interest rate is roughly that amount.

When a loan is repaid in say an hour, but the term of the loan was 2 days, does the lender receive the entire amount of interest from the borrower? I know that bitfinex will lock in the interest rate for the entire term but will calculate the interest paid by the hour (the interest rates on bitfinex are also much lower as well).

The interest seems to recalculate a few times per minute via the GUI but it does things behind the scenes faster than the GUI refreshes..

Like you can have a loan pop in and out more than once betwen GUI refreshes and you can see that it happened in trade history and analysis but you only see what is current every time the GUI refreshes, which I think is about ever 20 seconds or so..

Go to https://www.poloniex.com/lending#BTC and pull the scroll bar down a bit on the loan offers and wait, every time the GUI refreshes it resets the scroll back to the top too..
3338  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Taking Advantage of Poloniex exchange on: April 11, 2016, 06:19:29 AM
Show me 1 single person that has lost their coin to a defaulted loan on polo...

Past performance does not guarantee future performance.
Before Mt Gox happened, people thought their bitcoins were safe because it was the largest exchange around.

Yes, the risk is polo goxing, not loan defaults..

Polo still has over 57k BTC 24hr volume right now.. It doesn't really matter what the price is for them, they are making an absolute killing off of ETH in trade fees..
