3681  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is new occupation on: October 16, 2020, 10:13:29 AM
Since capitalism (~1700ad) it's been a job afaik.

Banks are traders too essentially and people like Warren buffet have claimed to make 50%+ interest a year when he had a small <1m fund and there's normally always something that grows well that's not been noticed yet if you were to keep a look out afaik.

It does look like an easier way to enter though than stocks (the lack of kyc is quite nice too).
Ever since the barter system time I think they are technically trading. I have read a concept where monarchs were investing in sailors who are going to explore new lands, so technically ever since the quest for lands there have been traders although most of them are long term.
3682  Other / Off-topic / Re: Zodiac Signs and Their Personality Traits. on: October 16, 2020, 08:56:21 AM
If you believe in these things, I hope we won't cross paths. Zodiac is just an excuse for trashy attitude. "Oops, I am being a bitch, my zodiac sign says so.", No you are just a bad person that does not want to be responsible for their actions. If this works, then many court cases have been dismissed because someones zodiac sign says that that person is having a bad time.
3683  Other / Off-topic / Re: Genetic Cloning on: October 16, 2020, 08:21:15 AM
Cloning has been a thing for years. Remember Dolly the sheep, that was the first successful cloning although the clone did not survive that long. I do like the idea of cloning but it is impractical on a grand scale, imagine having another member of the populace which means that another consumer of resources, contributor to pollution and occupation in space. I think it is evident that having a lot of populaton results in higher demand which could eventually lead to scarcity of resources. It is also worth mentioning that cloning will be payed by taxpayers money which is a waste of funds that could have been used for a more pragmatic endeavors.
3684  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Opinions on relationship in the society. on: October 16, 2020, 07:06:54 AM
Generally speaking girls won't accept someone who is financially in bad situation and also men also concerned about extra burdens and what we can do after getting in to relationship because they get more responsibility. Perfect relationship are mever exist, so make money then you have more choice to choice to choose from.
I think that it is a good thing that women think like this, they now prefer people that have a stable life. There will never be a perfect relationship because we as an individual does not know what being perfect is and I think we arrive there someday, I hope that I am not alive to see it because I believe perfection is boring. Regarding having a stable we also should take account that we see our partner eye to eye because if you can't stand being together sharing the same space, what is the point of that relationship. Financial stability is 50% of the relationship and the rest is being happy with each other. The feelings should be mutual and not unrequited.
3685  Other / Off-topic / Re: Banned Horror Movies (do not watch) on: October 16, 2020, 06:20:03 AM
Serbian Film is overrated in my opinion. The supposed to be disturbing parts were so goofy, I was laughing the whole time. The most disturbing on the movie was just the newborn shit. That was the most disgusting thing in the story. Personally, if they put necrophilia element in the movie, expect that it is pretty shitty because they rely too much on shock factor. I would not be looking at Eastern Europeans the same again.
3686  Economy / Economics / Re: Can a new $2 trillion bill bring back the US economy to pre pandemic levels. on: October 16, 2020, 05:26:02 AM
If US Government knows their priority then for sure they can get back on their feet. In fact, they could have a prosperous country a long time ago if they did not prioritize military spending. Imagine if they cut out 75% of the military budget and put it into funding facilities for healthcare, labor and employment, education and drug rehabilitation. They could have solved the problems of the mentioned sector above if they focused on it. For example, if education has more funding then the cases of uninformed and idiot American will be reduced.
3687  Economy / Economics / Re: China is looking to get rid of the US dollar on: October 16, 2020, 04:28:11 AM
If you look at the movement of the Chinese state in recent years, trying to control the world economy. No wonder one of his goals is to get rid of the US dollar, although it is not easy to achieve this. Moreover, most countries in the world still use US dollars for international transactions.
They can be successful in all of Asia if they continue their Belt and Road Initiative. If they want to make it happen a little bit faster though, they must lax their conditions to the countries that they are helping as to not make the populace in the disagreement with the agreement. US dollar is a reserve by most countries and China also has their reserve, I do not think they will get rid of it.
3688  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will replace oil and Gold on: October 16, 2020, 03:01:10 AM
Will Bitcoin make my car run? Will bitcoin be used for astronaut helmet shields?

There is monetary value in bitcoin but that does not mean that it will replace these things, the prices will go up but that does not mean that oil and gold will devalue. Oil will have a place in economy, although the prices are plummeting for oil. Gold will always hold a value, it is used in electronic components and it has a lot of applications and not just as a monetary value.
3689  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Cryptocurrency scam. on: October 15, 2020, 11:39:23 AM
3690  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian currency big problems on: October 15, 2020, 10:37:20 AM
I think you are too negative about the potential of Russian economy and her currency, there is a west sentiment against Russia as a whole and it is also being magnified with the Fake Russia interference in US election. I believe in short term there will be pain as regard the Rubie until the market realise it is greatly undervalued. I read about some Funds picking up companies now in Russia because of the huge potential for growth.
Most Russians do not like their current government, and why would the meme where Russia can't choose their leader exist if they are happy with the way that their goverment that is run by Putin for a long time. If Russian economy is thriving then why is the ruble depreciates over time?
3691  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Holding in Companies on: October 15, 2020, 09:30:30 AM
Yikes!  That might sound like a positive thing for bitcoin, but it kind of scares me.  Just imagine if just a couple of those companies needed to dump their bitcoin holdings onto the market all at once--I would hope that they'd work out private deals instead of using exchanges, but who knows?

Aside from the fear of bitcoin being held by an increasingly large number of companies, I'm amazed that this is actually happening and I certainly would not have predicted corporations would start buying up bitcoin to hold as cash reserves/investment/whatever.

So 2.85% held by these companies.  How much do the Winklevii twins hold?  And I can't even remember how much is in Satoshi's wallet, percentage-wise.  Makes me wonder how many individual bitcoin holders there really are out there.
That was my reaction when I saw a lot of posts and articles about this companies buying crypto as a reserve. They have the ability to inflate the prices now and it is a terrifying possibility. Pretty sure individual hodlers are the only ones who will suffer in this particular problem. In the back of my mind, I am hoping that less companies get their interest in stocking bitcoin.
3692  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] $CXCHE - Cache (DeFi) - Fake Team on: October 15, 2020, 08:21:41 AM

Anybody reading this after visiting the accused user's trust rating, please note that the use of stock images to prepare a team profile page for whatever reason be, is a sign of a scam project. The ones running this may say that it is a bug on the site or so, does not make it legit, it is still a scam.

My general advice to newbies, please contact the profiles on linkedin personally and talk to them about whether they are actually involved in the project or not. Many times scammers just post some big figures images and claim them to be advisors when in reality that well known personality never knew anything about it. It is a method done to fool and scam people.
There should be a thread where we store the stock photos used by the scammers so they have a easy accessed reference. I know that it isn't only me that gets tired trying to find the right website that the scammer used to get stock images, the theory behind my proposal is that they recycle the stock photos because most stocks are quite bothersome if you pay again after your scam gets busted. The problem with my country is that only few people use LinkedIn but the advice is pretty good if you have an account. Another tip I recommend is report it to cybercrime investigation sites because this is a clear identity theft case.
3693  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT Gmail: xaknaki@gmail.com ICQ: 77773103 TeleGram: @wuyon on: October 15, 2020, 07:14:12 AM
I feel bad for Telegram. They become a breeding grounds for scammers. I hope that they do something about the trend because they are a pretty good messaging app in my opinion but with this kind of phenomenon happening, I will stay away for awhile.
3694  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: newby scamms newby on: October 15, 2020, 04:30:51 AM
This is not a newbie account, they are only using this to get as much victim as possible. There was a previous trust rating in the profile and you did not bother looking at it. I get that you are a newbie too and hopefully this will serve as a lesson for you to not trust anyone in the forum.
3695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 15, 2020, 03:27:41 AM
It is still a long way to success in my opinion. If audiences can't see the game first hand then they have more ways to go. The measures should be able to accomodate the audiences live by atleast 75% so that they can get a profit. I won't call it a total success but a milestone.
3696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Counting in Blackjack on: October 15, 2020, 02:40:06 AM
That was so unfair. Did they just do this in order to save them not to lose?
This will give no interest to the gamblers, this will ruin everything, the trust, and the site owner. Gamblers are expecting a fair play and to win but because of what they have done by some casinos, it gives a way to step out and find another. This is an act of greediness and this badly making no sense to play blackjack knowing that we have no chance of winning.
That was my thought at first. I think that it is fair that the house will do anything to stop losses but there should be a certain balance that they should hit so the game is still fair and people are still playing while minimizing losses. I think the biggest dealbreaker is when people are continously winning and they get escorted out of the casino which pretty much taints the casinos image.
3697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: October 14, 2020, 12:40:05 PM
What I noticed is that gambling was not like before, in the paste, there were no much computers and no phones, many people were not having access to gambling sites unlike now, people are using mobile phones and computers to access gamblimg sites now, that is why gambling is now accessible to many people.
I do not think that technology has something to do with addiction. Even if you lack access, once you get a taste and you become addicted, you will find ways to get your fix. Gambling has been a problem ever since, it is just that at this age of information and technology, they bridged a toxic culture that crippled people's finances and broken up familial bonds. It is not necessary to blame technology because an individual is responsible for his/her actions. Rehabilition that have an effective aftercare is the key in making sure addiction is slowly but surely obliterated in our society.
3698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government can seize company reserve Bitcoin? on: October 14, 2020, 11:08:29 AM
Company reserve like bitcoin is considered as financial assets. I think that it will be included in seizure because laws that surround it are vague for a purpose. There might be disputes in regards to this but the sooner the financial department studies all the possible angles to make crypto asset move out of the grey area, the better.
3699  Economy / Economics / Re: Best Solution for taxes on: October 14, 2020, 09:06:34 AM
We can't get rid of taxes easily, if I am being honest impossible. Tax is the lifeblood of the state and that is the reason that tax evaders go to great lengths such as off shore accounts and shell companies. We can't do anything if the nation we are in imposes tax on cryptocurrency. Honestly, tax is a good thing if it is utilized with efficiency and without corruption in the officials handling this matter. Some countries have high taxes but enjoy free health care and less working hours. Also good roads and infrastructures.
3700  Economy / Economics / Re: Show me shops where i can spend crypto ...crypto is useless... on: October 14, 2020, 06:59:16 AM
This one hits close to home because most business does not consider integrating crypto transaction in their payment system. In my country, the most popular transaction system is through Paypal like apps. I can't blame this businesses though because they risk losing profit with the current volatility of the market. If ever the time comes that they can integrate this kind of transaction especially small businesses is a revolutionary milestone for cryptocurrency.
