luke-jr: yes i know, and i didnt like that. but if you take him literally he is honest and i would trade with him without escrow

Trust list is to add people whose judgement you trust. Don't add all trustworthy people because some users may not know how to judge others and because of his poor judgment, your judgement will also be poor/bad.

Tomatocage best scam buster here. if ~Vod you can keep tomatocage (if thats your only reason)

Right.

Vod well... he posts a little much trust too, but except for his microsoft-festish most of it are reasonable  and (thats important for me) he discusses such things reasonable. (as i wouldnt buy software keys here  it is not a big problem for me)

Then, IMHO, you may want to consider removing tilde before Quickseller.
3702  Economy / Reputation / Re: PSA: How to remove cancer from the trust list on: March 23, 2015, 10:19:19 AM
=snip=
Tomatocage has vod on his trust list therefore putting him in default trust
=snip=

You forgot many ~

If you don't trust Vod, putting ~Vod is enough. You don't want to remove Tomatocage for that.

Or you're just a person that would trust cancer

We don't trust cancer, we believe in it. Wink

Those who have "mind" knows they are from sockpuppets.

BTW, can you tell us who is this "someone"? I think it is most probably a MSDN key seller.

This is what my 100% cancer free trust list looks like:

Hey friend, sorry to tell you but you took the wrong medicine. You are taking harmful drugs instead of vaccine/medicine. Try to see a doctor. FYI: There is no 100% cure for cancer, it will cure if you are lucky.

Many people aren't aware that everyone can built his/her own trust list.

Here's how to:

1. go to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

2. remove people you don't actually trust by typing ~username in the box

And that's it. This way their negative ratings won't count for you when you look at someone's oveall trust.

This is what my 100% cancer free trust list looks like:

Did you know? Experts say that a removing Vod from your trust list reduces the possibilities of getting cancer by 90%?

You can also help make the entire forum less cancerous by asking tomatocage nicely to remove Vod from his trust list.

3705  Other / Meta / Re: Ban all the signature campaign on: March 23, 2015, 10:03:59 AM
If Advertising campaigns tried moving to PM, all of their members would be banned pretty quickly, and the managers as well I'd imagine. PM spam is much harder to get away with than posting spam. There are also far less warnings with PM spam.

Thank you for your response.

If Admins check inboxes, then it will be hard but if neither admins check the inbox nor the users report them, it is hard to ban. AFAIK Global Mods can only see PMs if they are reported. So it will get away. Correct me if I am wrong.

=snip=
• No bots, only humans for checking.

=snip= and I dont think there is a huge problem with bots. Moderators tend to catch them pretty quickly, far before they could apply for an advertising signature.

I meant bots for checking posts made by enrollees(eg: Bit-X, Bitmixer). Instead if a human is checking, the rules they enforced can be more effective and also if the manager is a good person, he may report too. I think it will help to reduce spam.

3708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: March 23, 2015, 09:31:44 AM
Nothing.  What makes the Christian book better than what the Jews read?

lol... noting that the Jewish book is the oldest, and the others being mere copycats, I don't think there is any merit in reading any of these books....  Grin

If you can think, you will get great knowledge if you read Qur'an. You may also get from Bible and other but unfortunately, you will see mirrors.
3709  Economy / Lending / Re: help. on: March 23, 2015, 02:40:01 AM
It's something like a coinbase, yes?

No. It is something like a coin(both physical and virtual), precious metals, premium accounts, premium equipments etc...
3710  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.05 BTC Loan Needed on: March 23, 2015, 02:38:07 AM
You are selling a Member account. Why don't you use it as collateral for the loan? I maybe able to provide if you can give signed message from an address which you posted in an unedited post.
3711  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan of 0.1-0.25 on: March 23, 2015, 02:34:40 AM
I maybe able to give if you have weapons or skins.

P.S. Are the games tradeable?

Don't sign a message and post publicly without a date. This signed message can be used by a person to impersonate you.
3713  Other / Meta / Re: Ban all the signature campaign on: March 23, 2015, 02:27:49 AM
I don't like banning signature campaigns and also, even if we ban, it can only be banned public campaigns, you can also start a campaign by sending PMs to users.

IMHO it is better to impose rules on signature campaigns than banning them. A few rules I like to see is

• Limit maximum post count.
• Banning spammers from campaign.
• No bots, only humans for checking.

thinking with logic, if islam hate people I believe this earth will be destroyed
I like to watch youtube videos dr. Zakir Naik, like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7Hr8bW5PyU
probably will answer all of what's in your brain about Islam...

+1 for you, friend! Atheist should see it, atleast to remove the misconceptions of Islam.

What makes the muslim book better than what the jews and the christians read?
What makes the muslim book better than what the jews and the christians read?

Because Qur'an isn't manipulated by "humans" but Bible is. As it is manipulated, you can see errors in Bible but you can't see errors in Qur'an.

I can't tell about Jewish holy book but I know it is also manipulated. Smiley
3716  Economy / Lending / Re: help. on: March 22, 2015, 03:28:46 PM
What u need?

Anything that can be used as collateral. A collateral is a thing which can be sold easily/fastly.
3717  Other / Archival / Re: please delete on: March 22, 2015, 03:27:39 PM
You could just report this directly to a mod/admin.

Already reported a few hours ago but didn't see any action. Hopefully, we can see it soon. BadBear is away and as a result, banning will be slow.

3720  Other / Meta / Re: What did theymos do with 200K? on: March 22, 2015, 03:22:15 PM
I really like the idea of signing something with your PGP key instead ofusing a password.  Also using SQRL login which using the bitcoin style signing but with a cell phone is even more secure.  Using secret questions and answers is kind of like a rotating password list you can't change.

It will be added.

Fancy Authentication
In addition to normal password authentication, the forum should support various kinds of of alternative authentication. At least password auth, email verification, secret questions, OpenID, PGP, OpenVPN (automatic creation of subnets + IP source verification), and Bitcoin address signing should be supported, with multiple allowable credentials for each auth type. Users should have the option of requiring any combination of these auth types. Like "pgp OR (password AND OpenID)". And users should be able to require that changes to some or all auth types as well as the required combination of types not take effect for some configurable number of days. This allows for different types of recovery methods.

Also, it should be possible to limit the access for each auth type. So one type might be able to only read, but not post, etc. If the Web interface uses the same API that is exposed publicly, then these permissions can be in the form of allowed API commands.

It might be nice to make this functionality into a self-contained library that other sites can use.
