China Bitcoin Rules Would Require Exchanges to Verify Clients’ Identity
what is the source of this? is it a guess or is it actually a news?

How do you think of that?

nothing really. that means bitcoin exchange platforms would finally be regulated.
and in the end bitcoin exchanges would be like stock exchanges or Forex exchanges or .... nothing big really!

in fact i even say that is a great news because it simply means a lot of other people can trust these platforms and start trading bitcoin. and that means price going much higher because of all this new adoption.

Here is the [Suspicious link removed]j.com/articles/china-bitcoin-rules-would-require-exchanges-to-verify-clients-identity-1489721593?mod=e2tw
It's from THE WALL STREE JOURNAL

thanks for the link. apparently forum removes wsj.com as a suspicious link Grin and because your rank is low
here is the correct link link though:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/china-bitcoin-rules-would-require-exchanges-to-verify-clients-identity-1489721593

and it seems like regulation is not yet "enacted".
3702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sooo...which one of you is selling BTC to buy ETH? on: March 17, 2017, 06:24:29 AM
at this point, not me. i have made my profit and no offense to those that are getting in now but if you ask me that is a very stupid idea to get in now after the pump and buy into the bubble.
  • if you can buy before the pump then you are a winner,
  • if you buy as the pump starts and get out higher than you bought you are a winner.
  • if you buy very late into the pump after price had gone up pretty high then you have balls of steel because the dump is right around the corner.
  • and finally if you buy very late into the pump and be left holding bags of overprices crap then you are an idiot.

3704  Economy / Speculation / Re: It going to hurt..! drop back under 1000$ on: March 16, 2017, 07:05:34 AM
So upon checking yesterday the price is at $1,250 and now upon seeing this thread and did checked preev immediately and it's now on $1224. And the title is telling the truth with my feeling it is actually hurting me upon seeing the price falling that's why I'm always crossing my fingers and keep on telling that bitcoin will increase.

first of all do not invest in bitcoin and do not hold any if you are afraid of losing money like this!!! and also if you have no clue about what the hell you are doing and where bitcoin is headed. you will just lose money and your sanity.

second of all, it is good to look at at the charts not the price, and also look at the time of this topic (the first post). this topic was one of the many bullshit posts back before the ETF thing and is created to spread FUD and panic so they price falls more and some of their orders get filled.

and finally check the charts one more time. $20-$30 fluctuation is the norm with bitcoin which means going from $1250 to $1224 means price is stable.
3705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you like 0% house edge casino games? on: March 16, 2017, 06:40:45 AM
I don't think a player would notice a difference between a 0% and 1% house edge. It would make a very big difference for the casino owner however.

if you want known difference house edge is big and low house edge
you can try playing dice site in house edge 5%(freebitco) and another dice sit is low house edge, example primedice , bitsler or crypto-games-net
if house edge big you  very dificult can get profit

of course there is a difference but you are comparing the house edge of a gambling site such as bitsler (1%) with another huge house edge of 5% from freebitco and that is a 5x bigger difference! and that my friend is an obvious big difference even without trying.

but in case of 1% versus 0% the difference is not that big or noticeable. again it is obviously better to have 0% for players but that difference is not a life changing amount!
3706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My understanding of Ethereum on: March 16, 2017, 06:30:45 AM
"A" writes a "smart contract" on Ethereum. Since "A" isn't perfect his "smart contract" isn't either. "B" finds the bug in "A" "smart contract." "B" steals "A" ETH. Repeat... Repeat... Repeat... ETH goes to $0!

That's the thing. We got a DAO situation, solved by proof of vitalik.

If it happened once, why it can't happen unlimited times? There's nothing that guarantees it will not happen again, so why would anyone hold long term wealth on this thing I ask?

nobody holds ethereum for long term apart from those who fall for the pump scheme and the hype-vertising campaign they have. etherum and most altcoins like that are only good for short term investment, they get very awesome pumps that you need to be very careful about to get out of the fast if you want to make the profit and get away. its going to be like "blink and you'll miss the top"
3707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins in a bubble? on: March 16, 2017, 06:23:26 AM
it is a bubble and the reason is pretty damn obvious.

anything that rises too much too fast is a bubble. and it doesn't matter what it is, if it is a shitcoin that is being pumped or it is a very big and established market like gold. and bubbles pop and when they pop the price drops pretty hard.

now add to that the fact that nobody really uses altcoins, and majority are just trading them to get more bitcoin or money in their pockets that is why they will dump and move on to the next project to pump and make more bitcoin or money.
3708  Economy / Speculation / Re: So, what's up with the price? on: March 16, 2017, 06:17:55 AM
Hey guys, serious question for the hodlers among us. As we have all noticed of late, btc has been quite bullish. Like most of us, I was surprised that the ETF was rejected, and was prepared for the subsequent bounce. My question is, what is supporting the current price? Despite the fact that I think it's false, the current Wall Street rally should have gold and bitcoin down. But they aren't; all three are doing well. Since this rarely happens (bitcoin and precious metals are safe havens, and tend to run contrary to traditional markets), what do you think? What will make the bubble pop, either way?

first of all ETF was just a distraction for whales to accumulate more bitcoin this month before the next price rise, it never had any major effect on bitcoin and can never have any either.
also i have to remind you that bitcoin is global and it is accepted in all countries around the world and also it is on an adoption spree which is increasing day by day and that means more people are always coming in and bring more money with them and that alone increases the price. not to mention all of us oldies buying more bitcoin each month that we can get some extra money to invest.
3709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: March 15, 2017, 06:00:57 AM
In my opinion if you has many bitcoin better you sell, seems currently will continue decline.

What prices are you currently looking at? We have been increasing steadily for a while now other than the crash due to ETF denial.
Even with a mild crash we rebounded back up to $1200+ in less than 12 hours.
I have more faith in BTC now, than I did 1 week ago.

Personally for me, I wouldn't buy Bitcoin at these prices. Bitcoin always has ups and downs in price and I think we are still on the upside. I'm waiting for some kind of temporary drop in price to buy more. There could be some people cashing out gains or whales manipulating the price, but there are always dips along the way.
I think, the best price to buy again Bitcoin is at rate $1000. But I think it's impossible
the price of Bitcoin will be down again. We can see every day that price is increasing.

the best price to buy bitcoin at is $10 but it will never happen again. these are just "wishes" and if you start planning on your wishes, you will soon lose the chance of joining the revolution and buying bitcoin at a "so called high price" which will soon be super cheap price. $220 was called too expensive once but i bought there. $450 was also said to be super expensive and a bubble one but i bought more bitcoin there. last year $730 was again called to be super expensive but i bought more bitcoin there too. and so on.

and besides you can buy in the dips but for that you need to leave your money on an exchange site and leave it in an open order. are you willing to take that risk? remember the exchange hacks?

3711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will ”Capricious” Chinese Government Confiscates All Bitcoins of the Big Three? on: March 15, 2017, 05:43:18 AM
Take your Bitcoin blinkers off and you'll see the Chinese are currently cracking down on all markets in a similar way.

Exchange withdrawals will return when the exchanges are properly regulated and accountable. If they can't manage that then they'll be closed. The Chinese market will be a very different and more peaceful place when it returns.

Maybe. But I believe the People's Bank of China will drag this on for as long as they can and keep adding restrictions until the exchanges get out of business. A form of restriction would be to issue very high taxes and license fees making it very hard for exchanges to operate.

and what would be the point of that?
Chinese are already trading bitcoin even with their exchanges closed, so there has been no difference in the end. people do it anyways.
and PBoC is well aware of it too. and i am sure knowing this they will settle for some middle ground to bring people back to exchanges that will be regulated by then so they can control them just like how they control Forex and stock exchanges.
3712  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: March 15, 2017, 05:33:00 AM
I say by the end of December for sure, but feeling the summer is a possibility as well.  Your thoughts ?

this belongs to the speculation board: at the bottom left side of the screed find "move topic" and click it to move to appropriate place.

and just like any other price prediction, nobody can tell you when. we can say $1500 will be reached sometime in the near future based on the bitcoin performance in the past but it is not possible to tell when.
3713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AntPool - switch to Bitcoin Unlimited on: March 14, 2017, 10:08:01 AM
If HARD FORK happens BTC price will drop to even $200.
So, no your capital WILL NOT double.

Where do you pull those numbers from? It all depends on how the fork is executed and how both chains are going to co-exist.

If something like eth and etc happens, the total value will be much higher than the original value.

this is what an FUD looks like Cheesy
they don't need reason nor logic. they just play with words or like him just spam some words out with some numbers in them. and when you read them over and over again everywhere you start thinking what if price really drops to $200 and that's when they succeed and you lose money because you fell for a trick.

and no you can not possibly tell what the total value would be in case something like etc/eth happens, it can crash the price pretty hard or it can be $1050 and $2
3714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whether anyone believe???? on: March 14, 2017, 09:54:12 AM
Whether you believe if you Continuously Buying The same number, one day you can win the lottery. there i read some stories much people can being rich by using this way.

i personally don't believe that.
but it is about the math and the probability of that happening. technically speaking since there is no relationship between each number of each round there shouldn't be any edge gained by choosing the same number.
it is just choosing the same number in dice and i always give a dice example when it comes to lottery.
in dice you can put the multiplier on a big number (i think 9900x) and then if you roll 0.0 for example you can win. so you choose 0 as your lottery number and keep rolling (buying lottery tickets). your chances of winning is still the same.
3715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best alternative for trading when compared to BTC on: March 14, 2017, 09:42:33 AM
Hi guys iam doing trading with BTC and it is giving good profits but now i want to start with some other alt coins.Could you please suggest me
Which is the best alternative for trading when compared to BTC

if you are making good profit with bitcoin trading then stick to it, bitcoin is the only logical market in crypto currency world and it is the best one of them too. bitcoin has the future and the rise is genuine and not a fake pump that is why it is logical!

but if you want to trade altcoins you can do two things, either join altcoins before pump and dump fast on top of the bubble. and for this you need to be able to find them before they pump. and for this all altcoins are viable options.

or do day trading and for that you should choose only bigger altcoins that always have high volume such as Monero litecoin dash and ethereum.
3716  Economy / Speculation / Re: after the denial of the ETF , what will be the next hype train to jump onboard? on: March 14, 2017, 09:39:00 AM
Bitcoin Unlimited will execute a proper and successful protocol upgrade with super consensus. TX fees will go down dramatically, Bitcoin scales to meet the demand. Value goes up a lot because value actually went down when the block size debate started. When it ends the value will recover.

there is still a lot more hashrate needed for that. and it is going to take a very long time to get there.

but i agree that when this block size debate is finally behind us and some time passes we will see a huge price rise because it is one of the things keeping bitcoin and also its adoption back and on top of that things like this are always considered good news and can cause FOMO leading to a bigger rise.
3717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF: Better rejected or approved? on: March 14, 2017, 09:28:49 AM
i think ETF approval could be a good thing for bitcoin. but it never could have been a life changing thing! the effect being good could have been small.
and i say it could have a positive effect because i believe it could potentially change the view of people about bitcoin easier. most people see past the bullshit and FUD but a lot of them are also falling for it. and bitcoin officially entering markets could have been good.
3718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy for dice from faucet - Non self-moderated topic. on: March 13, 2017, 08:03:47 AM
If you ever tried some strategies and succeeded to cashout from faucet, just share here. Probably that may work for other gamblers too. Not just in dice gambling, in any types of gambling/betting but from faucets/free credits.

Why this repeated topic : I just find this must be a good and useful discussion to have.

Searching for a "working" strategies for gambling must be an endless journey. Just having short discussions will never let gamblers to conclude anything on this.

well the biggest problem with any strategy that starts with faucet will always be the limited amount of funds. that will always limit your potential to maneuver around the bets and possibly make some profit in the end. which means all the strategies that you can possibly come up with should only rely on pure luck in other words you use higher multipliers with low chance of winning and try to hope for the best to happen and if it happens once then you are set for the rest of the strategy since your bankroll goes to the moon.
3719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero now #4 Coinmarketcap (jumped Litecoin and Ripple) on: March 13, 2017, 07:46:10 AM
although i dislike using marketcap as a method of comparing altcoins but in this particular case i am glad that we can finally see a good coin such as Monero rising and starting to take back its place among other coins. it really deserves to be up there among coins like Litecoin but sadly coins such as ethereum with all their total supply manipulations have taken its place.
3720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run is over. Welcome to the consolidation period. on: March 13, 2017, 07:21:15 AM
it is funny how all these old topics from a couple of days ago before all the ETF drama are being bumped today. OP's consolidation period lasted for 2 days or less instead of couple of months.

and the worst one of the speculations in this board from those days are users who were calling $700-$800 bottom nonstop in each ETF related topic, to a point where it started to get annoying.
