3721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 18, 2023, 12:11:17 AM
Injuries are really taking a toll one the NBA as we get closer to the end of the season. I should be getting excited about the Los Angeles Lakers playing the Dallas Mavericks tonight, but I’m not sure if any of the superstars are going to be on the floor. Luka maybe will put on a show but I would’ve loved to have seen Kyrie and LeBron face off again on their latest teams.
3722  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 17, 2023, 05:29:33 PM
Feels a lot like the move to $30K is underway. The last time it barely broke resistance and came down quickly. This time it appears to have cut through the resistance and is holding the position. The longer we hold above $26K, the more likely it is that we shoot straight up to $30K. Bitcoin is running out of sellers so the market is going to have to convince some holders to cash out.
3723  Other / Meta / Re: Should the forum stop advertising mixers? on: March 17, 2023, 05:25:25 PM
I think a more concerning question is “should we be worried about what we post here?”
Bitcoin is not illegal and neither are Bitcoin mixing platforms, no one should feel they are doing something shady when interacting with any of them. So, no, we should not be worried about what we post here.
Of course if you're sharing illegal content and violating forum laws and government laws, such user should be worried, but others should be allowed to interact freely without limitations.

This is as long as the bitcoin is not illegal and the btc mixing platforms. What if a country (or a number of countries) passes a law banning this? I understand that users from these countries will have problems, but if something like this is adopted in the country where this forum is hosted? Will the forum have to constantly move from one country to another?

New changes in the world have begun. It seems to me that this precedent from ChipMixer is a serious reason to think about what the future holds for everyone and what can be done about it. In terms of penalties for the use of mixers and their use, as well as advertising on the forum.

At the moment, the issue raised by OP for discussion in this topic, I consider resolved, and there can be no question of any ban on advertising mixers. Because from a legal point of view there is no violation of laws (as far as I know). If there are any bans, I'm sure the administration of the forum will react to this.

The issue is chipmixer has been accused of breaking multiple laws in multiple countries.

People rented signature space.

bitcointalk did not stop it.

Do I think this means action against bitcointalk no.
do i think this means action against signature campaigners no.

But do I think it could happen yes it could.

Hope it does not. As I do not begrudge people that did it.

I begrudge them a little bit. Ignoring that many of them have attacked me for years for donating funds to NastyFans, claiming it was all sorts of things, meanwhile they’ve been promoting an illegal money laundering service for scammers here to clean their stolen funds for their own profits. Adding insult to injury, when I warned them the DOJ was closing in on Chipmixer, many responded by distrusting me on the forum’s trust network for sounding the warning about their promotion of illegal activity. Now that I was right and they were wrong, any apologies for their attacks or levied punishments against me for being right? Nope, just more insults. At the very least these people had bad judgement and sold out for money, assisting scammers on a site they claim to be trying to make safer.
3724  Economy / Gambling / Re: What if bitcointalk creates a casino review and ratings board for members. on: March 17, 2023, 05:17:37 PM
This would be cool but I don’t see much of a point from bitcointalk’s perspective. Unless they were selling higher ratings or something. I also think it would be tough to get honest reviews when it’s likely that the reviewers have previous relationships with some of the casinos or possible even on their payroll. Unless the forum paid more than the advertisers, I can’t see this working too well.
3725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 17, 2023, 05:15:20 PM
That's just one game, dude, where he really scored a lot, but you know it's always Curry who is the leader of this team. I wouldn't focus too much on the regular season because the Warriors are going to be a different team in the playoffs. Remember, they are missing their second-best player, which is Wiggins. He can play great defense that will make this team better defensively, so once he comes back, for sure before the playoffs or play-in, they'll be 100% ready.

I hope Wiggins returns soon, we don't know what his condition is at the moment. We heard that he has family and important matters, of course nothing is more important than family. But it's not nice to think that you are in such a bad situation that you can't even post anything.
If he doesn't return until the playoffs start, it will be a tough end of the year for the Golden State Warriors

The rumors are out and about regarding the Wiggins situation. I hate to be the one to spill it here, but it is rumored that the personal issues Wiggins is going through stem from his wife cheating on him with his best friend over a long period of time and his best friend being the true father of their children. No idea if it is true, but that is what everyone is saying on social media.
3726  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 17, 2023, 05:11:16 PM
It looks like we’ve broken through resistance and the market is ready to take the next leg up. Amazing performance given is occurring in global marketplaces. I think with this strength it’s possible to hit $30K this month! Maybe unlikely and there would be a lot of profit taking I’m sure, but there is very little holding this market down at the moment.
3727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 17, 2023, 12:27:17 AM
In my opinion, I think referral bonuses are typically waste of one's time because of its processes that seems so impossible to claim and recently I came across a thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5437603.0 seeking for Casinos with paid referral bonuses and I tool out time to read most of the responses there and they all seem impossible to claim referral bonuses.
I wish to know if anyone has successfully claimed referral bonuses and how easy was the process and what Casino did you claim those bonuses

I’ve received referral payments from Stake. I’m assuming by referral payments you mean when someone signs up to the site using a link like the one in my signature and then gambles on the casino… If so, then yes, I have received referral payments from Stake and it was a very simple and automated process. Everything is also well documented.
3728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 16, 2023, 03:03:29 PM
The Lakers lost absolutely killed me last night. That is the biggest parlay bet I’ve had go wrong to date. I was four points away from having a major celebration but instead it’s nothing but tears this morning. I joke, but seriously that was a heartbreaking loss to one of the worst teams in the league and they really needed that win to be back to .500.
3729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 11:48:54 PM
Lots of talk in the media about Andrew Wiggins today. Apparently a teammate came out and said he is going through some “real shit” so who knows what it is. He did say he was taking a leave of absence for some family concerns so I assume someone in his family is going through a hard time. They are saying he’ll be out for the season though, so I can only imagine what it is.
3730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 15, 2023, 11:47:23 PM

I had a few bucks on gamdom so I took some favorites tonight. Red hot Lakers, Celtics, and the Heat. Lakers 7-3 in their last 10 and fighting for the playoffs. Boston 5-5 but playing the Timberwolves who are also 5-5 in their last 10, should be a good game. Miami is 5-5 in their last 10 but they're playing the recently suspended Ja Morants Grizzlies who have been struggling lately.

Lakers are missing Anthony Davis tonight out with an injury I believe so hopefully they can come through. I also took the Lakers to win and have Dallas along for the ride with a parlay tonight. That’s my main bet for the evening so I’ll be keeping my eyes on the scores. Golden State and the Clippers on ESPN is the game I’ll be watching though.
3731  Economy / Securities / Re: NastyFans: The Bitcoin Enthusiast Fan Club (est. 2012) on: March 15, 2023, 09:49:27 PM
Stacks Bowers Galleries is auctioning off a few NastyFans Minted Seats this month.  This might be something to keep an eye on as I don't think these coins have been auctioned off in this setting before.  It might also be useful for gauging their value in 'the real world' outside of our little community.  Live bidding begins Mar 24, 2023 which is where the real fun could begin.  Interested bidders online have until then to register an account and make a bid.  Might be worth it for those who have asked about purchasing Minted Seats using traditional fiat currencies.

3732  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: March 15, 2023, 08:53:02 PM
Well, this is awkward. Can’t say I didn’t see it coming and try to steer people in the right direction. I got a bunch of trust exclusions for my efforts. If anyone feels like apologizing feel free.

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/03/15/germany-and-us-seize-over-46m-crypto-tied-to-chipmixer-investigation-europol/

I guess maybe I wasn’t a crazy person sounding off about the dangers of Chipmixer and how those advertising for it were maybe not the most upstanding members of our community. Signature campaign managers are about to be flooded with requests…

The very fact that the website was seized by 6+ law enforcement agencies and a guy was arrested by the Feds for running ChipMixer indisputably confirms that it was not a honeypot to begin with, no matter what people like FatManTerra claimed otherwise.

I guess it depends on your definition of honeypot and what information has been obtained by authorities. If there are records of every transaction and all those records are now in the hands of authorities as a result of it existing… Then I think you could make the argument, intentionally or not, the site functioned as a honeypot for authorities to gather information. If they got no information, then it would be difficult to make that argument.
3733  Other / Meta / Re: OgNasty is hacked!! on: March 15, 2023, 08:47:28 PM
LOL. I didn’t get hacked. I just upgraded my security a bit and felt the need to use fresh passwords with the new setup.

I am a bit shocked that me changing my password warrants anyone making a thread. I’m even surprised that anyone noticed. I wish people paid as much attention to the positive things I did as they do to me changing my password.
I saw the thread just now and I was like "Oh shit" this is someone that has helped so many ranked users in there beginner days and that's with me inclusive but, after going through OP, I saw that the claim had no base to it and don't deserve to be dashed on the wall.

The motive though is what I dont quite get and somehow, I feel its something newbies should look out fir in the sense that, what they don't know is much bigger than them and whn it has to do with ranked users, you have to trust them to know how to get around in the forum and so, let them have the chance to try out what they know or be the ones to raise the alarm.
This intention is good but uncalled for.

Judging from his other posts I would guess that his motive was to receive merit for bringing this to the attention of the community. That or maybe it’s an alt of someone who wanted to troll me and saw a dumb opportunity to do so. Either way, it’s probably best if OP or a moderator locked this topic as it is crazy speculation about a user and not a forum issue.
3734  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC bulls back? on: March 15, 2023, 08:41:38 PM
It is starting to feel like the market is getting a little ahead of itself in the short term. Bulls seem to be back in a major way and there’s growing excitement amongst those that I know who are into crypto. It just feels like we might be witnessing some profit taking as the price has bounced from 20K to 26K in such a short period.
3735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 15, 2023, 08:36:44 PM
Tonight I’ve got the Heat over the Grizzlies, the Lakers over the Rockets, and the Mavericks over the Spurs in a nice parlay. I’ve also got the Celtics and the 76ers both winning their games. The Rockets and Lakers game might be a good one since both teams have been on fire their last few games.
3736  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: March 15, 2023, 04:52:14 PM
What I’m vehemently opposed to is users here advertising money laundering services to scammers to help them get away with scamming users here all so they can get a piece of the pie in the form of signature campaign payouts.
Would you feel better if we advertised decentralized money laundering services to scammers to help them get away with scamming users to get a piece of the pie in the form of signature campaign payouts?

Why do I ask? It's crystal clear that this would be the morally correct thing to do.

You do you. Feel free to advertise whatever illegal thing you want. I may even do you the favor of letting you know when the government is targeting said services so you can do the honorable thing and leave before you have egg on your face. You still have a signature of an illegal money laundering service even after it’s shut down in the hopes you can still get a few dollars out of it, so I’m guessing you won’t be too thankful for my warnings. I’d remove it though, as it is possible people will start tagging accounts promoting this confirmed illegal activity.

What you mean to say is a thank you to me for calling this out before regulators acted and apologies for your misguided promotion and way of thinking, as it is very clearly wrong now and that has now been legally proven.
3737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 04:45:48 PM
The Ja Morant story just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Noow some are speculating he might be shut down for the season as he goes to counseling. Seems like he's doing it to try and save his Powerade deal but I think that ship has already sailed. Whatever he decides to do, I hope he gets himself figured out in time to return to the playoffs. What a shame this situation is for the Grizzlies who finally have a good team and were looking to make a deep playoff run this year. Steven Adams must be pissed off about the whole situation.
He's expected to lose $40M from that $50k strip club party that he went to. Such a crazy action resulted in a crazy dismissal that he'd never like. It will serve as a warning for most of the players that has a lot of deals and sponsorships and contracts that have been signed with.
This is such an expensive lesson for him and I guess he have just save a lot of other players for this trouble because they wouldn't do the same as what he did although there were some other players that have been doing such.
Nike must have been embarrassed replacing Kyrie's deal over Ja. A lot is surfacing now over Ja's behavior and I know he's better than that to figure things out if he wants this career in the NBA, I mean he's already known and he should have shown some class. I guess the suspension will serve as a lesson but we never know what's on Ja's head though after that, I root him to have some progress.

I doubt Nike is too embarrassed. Sure, the team and the league need to take action against him and Powerade is trying to become a household brand so I can understand why they are upset. Nike though probably doesn’t mind this behavior. It’s in line with the “culture” they are targeting, whereas Kyrie’s comments go against the culture and that can’t be tolerated by Nike.

Decentralize all the things. Crazy I know. Pushing decentralization on a Bitcoin forum. Truly my most controversial act.
Could you make yourself clear that you are in favor of money laundering if it's decentralized money laundering?

I am not in favor of money laundering in any form. I am in favor of privacy being added to Bitcoin’s protocol. What I’m vehemently opposed to is users here advertising money laundering services to scammers to help them get away with scamming users here all so they can get a piece of the pie in the form of signature campaign payouts. Seems dishonest to me and against my decade plus long mission of making sure users can trade safely here.

OgNasty is hacked but in his head only... he is so cringe and pathetic that sometimes I want to puke reading his hypocritical posts, now he is asking for people to apologize to him and he is happy for CM being sized, typical tesla boy...
I wonder if he is going to be happy when someone (read government) seize his property, house and car so he can be even more happy and own nothing.  Tongue

Tell me you’re mad about having your signature campaign payments shut down for promoting illegal money laundering activity to scammers on this forum for personal profits without telling me you’re mad about having your signature campaign payments shut down for promoting illegal money laundering activity to scammers on this forum for personal profits.

You think that’s crazy, you should hear my thoughts about currency. That will really make you think I’ve lost my mind. I actually believe decentralized currencies are better than centralized ones as well and that people should be focusing on decentralized services over centralized always.

Decentralize all the things. Crazy I know. Pushing decentralization on a Bitcoin forum. Truly my most controversial act.

P.S. You can probably remove your signature and stop defending illegal activity now.
