The desk ornament/bookend thing from the art thread would ship for $20 equivalent BTC.

I like those bookends, very cool.  Put me down for two if you do run them.

3722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The Essential NFL Thread 🏈🏈 - new poll every week on: December 06, 2019, 03:20:06 AM
The Cowboys have one of the best offense in the NFL, they should be the favorite. However, only a field goal favorite might be small. I reckon it should be more hehehe.

They aren't looking like it tonight.  It's half way through the third quarter and the Cowgirls only have 59 yard passing, and 132 total offensive yards.  Most of them were from that first drive.  They looked hot for that one drive.

Wootwoot!

I don't run a server, but I have a feeling this is to prepare for releasing their lightning compatible client software, which I am very excited about.

Oh Shit I think we Cursed them!

Did we curse them?  Shit, I wish I would've kept my mouth shut.  I hope at the very least that Cousins had a decent enough day for your fantasy stats.

Man those Seagulls are getting physical!

Lol, I love calling them the Seagulls, or just Gulls for short.  It used to be the Raiders' fans that used that epithet, until the re-org.

Bigger game for who tonight?  6-6 Cowboys or 6-6 Bears?

A Cowboys win gives them breathing room from the Eagles for the division title.

A win for the Bears puts them in the wildcard picture.

Bears are 3 point underdogs at home.

It's do-or-die time for the Bears, they have to sweep the rest of the season to dream about a playoff spot.  A wildcard berth is going to be tough to steal from either the Packers of the Vikings, but I'd wager it'll be the West and the North that get the two spots.

The NFC East is a flustercluck of mediocrity.  Does it even matter who wins that division?  My guess is whoever wins the East is going one-and-done in the post season.
3725  Other / Meta / Re: Ban evasion by scammy DT member - please permaban account - case #1 on: December 05, 2019, 10:50:42 PM
r u understand?

It's not about multiple accounts, it's about being banned.  When one of your accounts is banned, you as an individual are banned from using the forum.

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.

However, I'm not 100% convinced.
Since when is this not a good proof? How about removing post and archiving thread later, like it will delete previously archived post and no one will notice or how about this:

Like I said;

The timing of the evidence in this particular case does seem to point to the two accounts being alts, though.

I just don't think it's enough to make me 100% certain that they are alts.  I'll also admit that I think this situation should be handled delicately due recent allegations of racism and bashing of certain ethnic groups.  Right or wrong, founded or unfounded, there are many in the Turkish local who seem to think this is West vs. Middle East thing.  I know that it's not, being of Middle Eastern decent myself, but that's not up to me alone to decide.  The disenfranchisement of an entire ethnic group is at stake, and I think it's worth taking a unbiased and careful look into the situation.

If otto_diesel claims it's not his alt (I don't know if he has or not) it's worth giving him the benefit of the doubt until further evidence can be exposed.  The other accounts you've pointed to that have been banned, and clearly evading bans does add circumstantial evidence.  But it's only circumstantial.  The fact that there's a lot of alt-abuse in the Turkish local doesn't mean that every one there is abusing alts.  And the Turkish local isn't the only place where alts are abused and bans are evaded.

Again, maybe I'm being overly sensitive about this specific situation, but that may not be a bad way of approaching it, in light of recent events.
3728  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase hacked on: December 05, 2019, 09:25:16 PM
Had Coinbase USD WALLET EMPTIED this week while down loading coins from POLONIEX,

None of this makes any sense what-so-ever.  When you say USD, do you mean you had cash in your Coinbase account?  Cash is kept an account, like a bank account, not a wallet.  The only way to empty your cash from coinbase is to transfer it into your linked bank account, send it to PayPal, or exchange it for crypto.  Which of these happened?  Was it cash or one of the stable coins they offer?

Well, I guess none of that matters anymore.  Like TryNinja and o_e_l_e_o have noted, your login credentials have likely been compromised.  Stop using the same password for multiple sites, and change all your crypto and bank related passwords.

I thought Coinbase was secure. Coinbase says they can't help. Now what.

Coinbase is as secure as any webwallet can be.  Something tells me it's not their security that's the issue, but the lack of your own.

So is he ban evading or not? Huh

Not. Theymos came out and said that the CH account is not banned.  And I seem to recall a post or two from that account very recently.

When TOAA first showed up he tried to play it off like cryptohunter was banned, and he was using this account to evade that ban.  I think TOAA was just doing that for attention, or some other ploy.

 Huh
3732  Economy / Reputation / Re: "The-One-Above-All" abuses self-moderated threads - Non-Reputable Behavior on: December 05, 2019, 06:17:47 PM
*AHEM*

OP, you might not have been following all this drama but it's been going on for a while now.

That's the way it goes.  Initially rational folks will try to argue with a troll, only to realize they aren't getting anywhere.  All they're doing is feeding him more trollcarbs to fuel his trolltrolley.  Once those folks stop, the troll finds others to instigate, who'll then take their turn feeding the beast.  On and on it goes, and we're all guilty having taken our turns.  Hell, I even tried to talk some sense into him recently.

From now on, I'm just going to stand back and watch.

3733  Other / Meta / Re: Ban evasion by DT1 member - please permaban account - case 2 on: December 05, 2019, 05:49:06 PM
Also the posting of an identical wallet alone, by itself, is definitely not a robust way of ascertaining whether 2 accounts are the same person,

if that were the case, someone could make an account right now, post one of your wallets and try to get you banned; you and all the intelligent members of this forum would agree, this is not a smart way to jump to conclusions about anything...

Now, I can make some accounts and post that Wave address, then using some of my new accounts (just to attack otto_diesel, example) plagiarise in order to get consequent permanent bans. Fortunately, otto_diesel will not be banned only because of that.

I can't point to any specific case where this been proven, but it certainly seems possible.  There has been some animosity and in-fighting that took place in the Turkish board recently.  I could see a vindictive member trying to undermine another's credibility and reputation by posing as an alt and doing things they know will get them banned.  If this has happened it's a rotten trick only a scoundrel would undertake.

The timing of the evidence in this particular case does seem to point to the two accounts being alts, though.

Nop, I am 100% sure they are alt accounts and they are evading ban.

I'll preface this by saying you have more involvement in the Turkish board than I do, so you may be right.  However, I'm not 100% convinced.  I hope the Cryptios team can get to the bottom of it.  If it's true that a ban evader has made his way to DT1 it would be worth every effort to prove or disprove.

Marlboroza is jealous of what?
What's hateful about wanting to keep ban-evaders off of DT1?
What do Turks have to do with any of this?

Same group's campaign, same results.

I beg to differ.  Sure there have been a ton of shitposting spammers wearing the signature, but this time around the spam has been dramatically reduced.  Yahoo62278 has been doing a remarkable job finding and banning the most egregious offenders.  He's not going to detect them all, which is why he's been accepting help from the community.  If you see someone spamming to spike their post count for their Yobit signature, report them to Yahoo62278, or use the report to mod link, or preferably both.

All in all, this time around it's been a far cry from the level of spam we saw earlier this year.

Anyone in on an idea on how we can get to the core of who controls yobit and ultimately bring some transparency to a very shady company?

If anyone knows, they aren't talking.  Keeping yourself anonymous on the internet is a pretty difficult task, but not impossible.  It takes some skill and understanding, and apparently the folks behind Yobit have done pretty decent job of it so far, so they must know what they're doing.  For most of us it's pretty hard to track down someone who's that skilled at keeping themselves anonymous.  They haven't pulled an exit scam, so there hasn't been much motivation or effort put into investigating the owners' identities.
