Your reading the thread backwards.
I posted a link after that. You actually already replied to that post.
that link proves nothing. All you're doing is making assumptions based on vague evidence. Who knows if they're not actually buying stuff in bulk from their supplier's warehouse? That link also fails to substantiate your point about dealextreme being "just an office".
|
|
|
Just Google it dude if you don't believe me. They have a blog somewhere and one of the posts clearly outlines they're basically just an office. They have a tiny warehouse and this is how they can list 50,000 products.
Did you ever order something that DX said was in stock but had to wait weeks before it shipped? now you know why.
Return address obviously would still be DX's. Postal permit, if you mean the customs declaration, almost all chinese websites use the same declaration, I bet you it was signed by the elusive Brad or Tom wasn't it? Those are the two main names these guys use for some reason.
Oh boy, not this shit again. If you're going to argue something, present a link to the evidence. Dont ask for someone to search for you.
|
|
|
I guess you could look around on the fansites and try and get your own beta invite, but I don't think you can just download it.. lol
I never mentioned legally. (this is a retaliation thread spoil, read mine & OP's previous posts)Every thing i said in the other thread was true and substantiated with clear links. All you're doing is spreading lies and FUD. It's not "retaliation", it's being a dick and a hypocrite. If you're going to thread crap in retaliation, at least make a valid point like how i got into the beta for free, and now i'm selling the account.

|
Is a dollar profit too much to ask? Maybe rag on the quality but not on the price.
fair enough
|
|
|
that explains why all the packages i received from them have the same return address. the same style of envelope, and the same postal permit.
Just Google it dude if you don't believe me. Did you ever order something that DX said was in stock but had to wait weeks before it shipped? now you know why. That's strange, because all my orders arrive in 2-3 weeks, from the time of order. Except when my country's postal service was on strike ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) .

Obviously didn't read my full post.
Also, very few stores use no-stock. Let me first explain how DealExtreme operates:
You place an order Dealextreme recognises you have an order, and waits until 10 mroe people order the same item If 10 more people don't buy it, they dropship you the item and only make a few cents. If 10 more people buy it, they bulk buy and they send off everyones order and make a 500% markup.
I'm not going to sit here and argue on someone elses thread, if you want to argue this more, create a new thread.
This basically sums up my one of my main points in my post above:
OP is putting his reputation on the line for the product. If it is broken and DX don't refund, OP will be called a scammer.
that explains why all the packages i received from them have the same return address. the same style of envelope, and the same postal permit. And I have been buying from them for at least 3 years.
|
|
|
That doesn't really matter. We're going WAY off topic here, but even look at DealExtreme, the link you posted. They are a no stock company, they take orders, then go out and buy the stock from someone else and ship it to you (basically drop shipping).
That's how ALL retailers operate. 1. They buy bulk from manufactures 2. They ship package and ship from their own warehouseAll of this incur actual costs, such as rent, labor and postage, which justifies the markup they add. That is very different from drop shipping, where you simply relay someone's order to another online store.

|
If it all smells too fishy, say that and stop trolling the damn topic.
/lurk mode resumed
That's what i did. Please give me a ref to a thread where a PP buyer lost their money. We both know there are many where the seller lost a lot but I have never seen a buyer lose.
But min amount is 50 BTC kinda makes me suspicious.

Yes profit is quite a crime... and everyone wonders why the Bitcoin economy isn't hardly growing. Between the thread shitting, the nazi mods, the trolls, the price instability why would anyone invest in a Bitcoin business? I think we need to harass retailers more!
The seller isn't contributing to the bitcoin economy if he's simply exchanging the coins, and dropshipping it. If i wanted that, why shouldn't i trade my coins for paypal, and buy it off dealextreme? it's very likely that the seller is doing the same thing, except with 100% markup. No one asked you to spend your Bitcoins with this guy against your will. I have seen you do this to people dozens of times. GET A LIFE. Now you're derailing the thread. That post was in reply to a previous post. This is a PUBLIC forum, so if you don't want your thread to get crapped on, do it coinhunter/realsolid style, and lock your thread the moment you post it. On most forums that I buy on, its against the rules to post links on sale threads to sites that sell the item for cheaper.
IMO this rule should apply here.
I've just witnessed grue shit on a few threads (including my own, not too bothered about that one though). Can't wait until he posts something for sale, I'm going to post a link to the same item for slightly cheaper shipped directly from a Shenzhen sweatshop with no warranty and no contact information on the website.
That argument is invalid considering this item is very likely dropshipped, so it's EXACTLY the same, except for the 100% markup.

Is there a secure online wallet service that doesn't charge for transactions? Even though it's usually only about 5c, it seems against the whole ethos of Bitcoin to change transaction fees. I thought that's what was supposed to be attractive about bitcoins, that it's like using cash?
Uh no, where did you get the idea that bitcoins is "free" (as in, no cost)? Who pays for the miners after the block reward drops to zero? Nothing is fee free, cash has "fees" in the form of taxes you pay to the government to reprint the coins/bills. Even gold has fees, you either need an assayer to validate it's legit, or pay someone to conduct chemical tests. Transaction fees are 0.001 BTC, which is less than a cent, much better than anything available. Want it cheap? Run your own wallet. If you're using an online wallet, you're paying for a SERVICE, which incurs an extra fee, like in any market. Alternatively, is there a desktop client that:
1. Is portable (able to be run from a usb without installation / admin rights)
Yes, the stock bitcoin client can run from a USB. You simply need to configure it properly. Don't ask for it here, search on google or the wiki ( https://bitcoin.it) 2. Able to import addresses / private keys
Why would you want to do that? I'm guessing you're still new to bitcoins, and it's not a good idea to mess with stuff like this. If you really want to, i hear armory has that feature available. 3. Writes the wallet.dat to it's own directory, instead of an arbitrary user settings directory defined by the OS? (This seems the worst part of the current client, bitcoin-qt - why write such a sensitive, insecure file to a separate directory associated with the user account, where you have to seek it out and encrypt / move / delete it? It could be forgotten so easily.)
it's called setting the data dir. search before asking questions, please. I know bitcoin is new but to be honest I was surprised at how basic the client seemed to be.
That's why it's beta software. Besides, what more can you want? You can send and receive bitcoins, why add more bells and whistles?

What is the program you need help with? Or rather, what's the difficulty of your project? I can teach basic stuff (language basics, classes, inheritance, threading, and algorithms), but nothing complicated like reflection or concurrency.

Always with the thread shitting around here.
not my fault 30% of the threads here are blatant dropship offers with 100% markup

My business plan: 1. Buy a credit card off the black market 2. offer to buy 100 bitcoins 3. use paypal checkout (so no need to register, nor do i need verification) to send the money 4. fill in owner's details because the goods are electronic anyways 5. get bitcoins 6. rinse and repeat I bet I know what OP's "big secret" is. - You send Paypal money to dareq
- Dareq instructs you to file a claim on it and then cancel that claim
- Once cancelled, claims can never be reinstated for the same transaction
- Dareq sends the bitcoins
This does actually work per Paypal's TOS as far as securing against any paypal fund reversals in the future (more or less), but that doesn't stop payments from being reversed by accounts where the buyer is using a stolen credit card. If the card is stolen, the seller is taking all the risk. If the card is legit, the buyer is taking all of the risk. Irregardless, once Paypal finds out that the OP is selling currencies through Paypal which is against their TOS, the slightest account hiccup or anonymous tip to them that garnishes a look into what he's selling will end up in full account lockdown just like Mr Coins and every other big-mouthed overly cocky jerkwad newbie who thought they knew more about Paypal than people who run financial services. OP is teetering on the thin line between ignorant soon-to-be-bankrupted-business owner and outright scammer. Anyone care to bet which side he falls on, or alternatively bet on him violently flopping between the two? thanks for this awesome secret! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I have a Battle.net account with Diablo 3 beta, and I want either rent it or sell it. If you rent it, you will have exclusive use of the account until the beta ends. Best offer is currently 10 BTC, for the beta period only. https://i.imgur.com/oZEjg.png
