3731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCoin: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: March 19, 2014, 01:40:38 PM
Way too little people are into Mastercoin right now and I don't see that changing unless price adjusts downwards, to allow new investors to get on
the train at some reasonable levels. Not so long ago one could get MSC at 0.01 (burn period) and price was already at levels where 1000% profits
were possible so how much more money you early adopters wanna make? By insisting on still high price and thus not allowing new investors to get
some MSC at price levels where you'd make decent profits anyway you are shoting yourself in the leg, really. The same goes for NXT, XCP and most
other altcoins where there is no justification for high price except your greed. With PoW coins there is a strong relation between price and energy
used for mining, if one invests X dollars then it makes no sense to sell mined coins for (much) less dollars but with PoS altcoins, MSC and XCP what
exactly is the cost to run the show? Practically zero. Utility alone does not justify high price neither at least not at this stage but you people act like
Mastercoin already is something of epic proportions. No, it is not. Dozen of you holding coins and refusing to take profit unless you'd make 1000%
or higher profit will isolate yourself from everyone else except maybe stupid investors and speculators. Anyone else who missed burn period just
don't have a good reason to invest in MSC. Of course, you can stay stuborn and trade MSC inside your small group but keep in mind you are not
going anywhere with such approach because no one outside of your group really gives a shit about your prescious overpriced coins. You can add
whatever new feature you want to Mastercoin but, as proven by recently added decentralized exchange and as proven by prices of NXT and XCP,
there will be no price explosion.

Just like NXT, XCP and so many other altcoin communities, you became too greedy too fast.
3732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: March 16, 2014, 11:38:19 PM
Max Keiser unfollowed maxcoin on twitter? Grin
Nice Smiley

Fantastic, the fate of Maxcoin is solely in the hands of the crooked incompetent devs. What a disaster...

So I was sort of bored today and went to check what services are out there for Maxcoin and then I laughed my ass off listening Max sampled voice
at http://www.maxcoinspin.com check them out (just click on SPIN). My favourite ones are "Guaranteed confiscation of wealth", "Guaranteed loss",
"Hey you know what, maybe this isn't working" and "Fraud!"

Most miners are still at 1GH, difficulty is still going down and yet some morons are continualy putting 1+ BTC buy orders at major MAX exchanges?

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
3733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MediterraneanCoin (MED) - REUSE your ERUPTER!! new hybrid PoW algo! on: March 16, 2014, 07:43:15 PM
Got new package Smiley

Antminer U2 - 2500 MED (used, in stock: 25)

Ordered 5, finaly an upgrade for my old "lazy" USB Erupters. Tx ID 3c168c4de8feb6317abf510be201544514009ff069c062405cc3608ab3a07d94

Miners arrived 2 days ago. Everything works fine, thanks!

Jesus maybe we need to say we are going to give coins to every person in the Mediterranean that way we can be in the top 10 on coinmarketcap. Sometimes I just dont understand cryptos. This hidden gem is being overlooked meanwhille 50% premined coins are making it to the top 10 on coinmarketcap in a matter of days.

It is insane, really, and I fear for cryptos more than ever. Those shit, uninnovative, premined by unknown guy, to be airdropped (not really) coins
could easily cause major media and government attacks on all cryptos. If only it all ends with just (dumb) investors scammed, that would be great.
3734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCoin: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: March 16, 2014, 07:35:06 PM
How can i mine this coin???

You can't, it's a PoS coin.

No, it is not PoS coin. With MSC there is no mining at all.
3735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Masterchest Wallet Alpha Testing Thread on: March 15, 2014, 06:28:25 PM
Few issues with Alpha 0.3 on Win7 64-bit:

1. Initial draft .pdf says "NOTE: If you have customized your bitcoin installation (for example by using the --datadir flag to change the location of
your bitcoin configuration and database) you may need to specify your configuration manually. To do so simply change the four values in wallet.cfg
from empty to your chosen bitcoin RPC server configuration" but that is not true, if one is using non-default datadir than a new line must be added
to file in question. Only this one worked for me:

bitcoinrpcserv=localhost
bitcoinrpcport=8332
bitcoinrpcuser=(username_goes_here)
bitcoinrpcpass=(password_goes_here)
datadir=D:\BitcoinData

Omitting any data or line makes Masterchest complain and shutdown or keep on running but doing nothing.

2. Once Masterchest is started and starts syncing with blockchain, switching to "debug" tab and clicking on DEBUG LEVEL: LOW changes it to MED
and Masterchest becomes unresponsive including minimizing wallet window. It will start accepting user input only after syncing is fully done. Same
unresponsivness occurs once Masterchest starts to print debug text while on MED or HIGH setting. It is impossible to stop printing, it just goes worse
since user can only switch LOW to MED to HIGH level, not MED to LOW or OFF (which does not even exists).

3. Taskbar name for Masterchest is Form1

4. On "currencies" tab amount of coins is wrong, instead of 0.00125 MSC and 4.04268975 BTC it shows I have 125.00 MSC and 404268975.00 BTC

5. Right and bottom sides of main and other windows look wrong, see https://i.imgur.com/7W619QT.png

btc can't be controlled  Grin

My 1000bucks

Watch'em try!

They'll fuck it up for a lot of people.

My $.02.

Wink

They can affect price negatively which is fine for me, drop it to 10 USD so I can buy a thousand more BTC! Other than that ... see BitTorrent.  Grin

They're already targeting high volume sellers on localbitcoins (just as high volume e-Bay sellers and high volume PayPal users have been targeted in the past).  It's not "anonymous" if you're meeting someone to sell them BTC for cash and that person has the authority to charge you with being an unlicensed money transmitter on the basis of a single transaction (and localbitcoins sales at a distance have been fraught with scams and fraud).

One gotta be really dumb to deal with Bitcoin and reveal his or her identity to total strangers. Need fiat? Work for it, don't exchange BTC for it, tard!

3738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to see in an exchange? on: March 14, 2014, 02:21:52 AM
I've been working with a team of engineers for the last 6 months on a new exchange. We have acquired banking support for 10 different fiat currency.

Wanted to see what the community is looking for in a new exchange, currently we have the following:
- Mandatory 2FA
- Verifiable user funds
- User KYC documents encrypted and stored in Canada, backed-up offline
- On EC2 so that we can sustain DDOS attacks.
- Incorporated outside of the US, so that user privacy is protected.

Ability to setup withdrawal addresses and deadline for when auto-withdrawal triggers. Many things can go wrong and I don't like idea of letting you or
other exchanges just take all my coins. If I die I want my coins to be sent to people I know but do not trust enough to give them my login info right
now (mostly because they are not capable of protecting themselves from trojans and keyloggers), to some charity or whoever else.

Bonuses for adding or removing liquidity.

Ability to turn off trollbox.

High quality graphs.

Ability to generate a new deposit addresses, no forced reuse of always the same ones.

Withdraw coins to multiple addresses in one transaction.

Do not lick asses of those who pissed on Bitcoin. If they want to join fine but do not go so low to sell your dignity or soul to make them join Bitcoin.
