3741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 06, 2022, 11:32:36 AM
~
Tom Lee is the same person who predicted a very high price for Bitcoin (can't remember when) years ago and its obvious that it didn't happen.
Whether they are analysts or an advisor or an economics teacher, still they don't know what will happen in the future therefore these are just pure speculations.

With regards to the 2 sides, its either the analysts are correct or the economists/professors are correct. I'm bullish when it comes to Bitcoin but I know that it will be a bumpy road. I see Bitcoin to rise to 6 digits in the next 1-2 years (own speculation) and that's how bullish I am but who knows what will happen. Maybe we see Bitcoin going up higher in the next weeks or we might see the opposite and it goes down (like what is happening right now).
3742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 06, 2022, 10:38:43 AM
Its been a very long time that I've been using coinmarketcap.com/new to find new crypto projects that just get listed on the platform and I've come to notice that every two to three days coinmarketcap always list up to 30 new crypto projects, how insane is that? It shows that more than 100 crypto projects are released every week cos some landed on coingecko first before coinmarketcap, this to me is scary
Scared in what ways? I don't think there is nothing for you to be scared of. Just ignore those low market cap coins and just focus on the highest market cap coins and you're safe.

Why trying to risk your money investing into new coins and those coins that doesn't have any volume in exchange when you can invest your money into the top coins, hold and you will have lesser stress? Too much crypto projects isn't a problem at least for me because most of them are either dead coins or scam coins and websites like Coingecko and Coinmarketcap can't detect which is which so they will just let it stay there. Just ignore those new projects its normal already. Just focus on the top coins and let this projects die slowly. In a bear market, those new projects will disappear and there will be some that might survive but the top coins will stay even though there is a bear market.
3743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 06, 2022, 09:38:31 AM
The Brooklyn Nets were trailing in the 4th quarter but the intense team works lead them to outscore the Pacers and finally beat them. Kyrie Irving is finally and managed to score 22 points in his return. that is a huge contribution and finally the Brooklyn Nets have done with their 3rd losing streak. It would be another exciting next game for the Nets since their big three are playing healthy without any injury.

First half, its the Pacers that are in the lead and they got as high as 19 point lead but the Nets dominated the second half with the help of their Big 3.
Its nice to see Kyrie back in the court and helping his team end their lose streak. Him, Durant and Harden combined for 79 of their total points and 6 players from them scored in double digits.

Still, we can't see Kyrie play in their home games because he don't want to get vaccinated but he can help the team on the road and give other star players some rest. Kyrie came back already. What I'm waiting is for Klay to comeback on Sunday against the Cavaliers Smiley. Can't wait to see him come back to the court after 2 and a half years of not playing though I'm not expecting to much from him in his first games. We might see the old Klay at least in the Playoffs Smiley.
3744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 06, 2022, 09:15:54 AM
This isn't easy for us who are expecting to see the conference to resume soon, looks like we are back to the old days were PBA are having a hard time to figure out how to continue operating while the covid-19 cases are increasing fast.
The rate of spreading of Omicron is even faster than the Delta even though the severity of it is lesser than that of Delta. Just this day, there are new 17,220 cases and the positivity rate is around 36.9% which means 1 out of every 3 people who are having their swab test ending up being positive.

For PBA, worst case scenario is they will enter the bubble again which I think might be possible but will the BOD try to go that route knowing that they might have lesser revenues. They can't afford to stop the conference anymore because they started it already and one thing more is that franchises will not allow it. Lets just see how the management will deal with this and I'm pretty sure that they will do everything to at least finish this conference.
3745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin mistake In 2020-2021 on: January 05, 2022, 12:40:35 PM
~
So I will like to give out very simple advice please keep holding your Bitcoin your investment is safer in Bitcoin and for great peace of mind always try to hold your Bitcoin as Bitcoin price is limitless am going to join the steel hands, Bitcoin holders, very soon.
One of the ways I save my Bitcoin is by buying during the deep never looking at it again for over some time. I have learned big from that small mistake of the past 2020-2021.
Do you consider this as a mistake? Do you really think that Bitcoin will reach $67,000 at that day you sold your Bitcoins?
You focused more on the profits that you can get on that day rather than holding it. I don't consider it as a mistake though since you got profits though it is lesser. What's wrong is either you bought Bitcoins at the peak and sold at the bottom or you never bought Bitcoins at all.

Even I have experienced that thing but I don't consider it as a mistake since I didn't got any loss for it. I got profit from it and I didn't regret even though I saw the coin going higher at the price I sold my holdings. There are many more who have experienced that too. Well, its good that you adjusted your strategy and will do dollar-cost averaging and will hold Bitcoin for a long time since that is what most of the Bitcoin holders are doing.

Still, I don't see this as a mistake or anything at all but a good thing at least since you got profits from your investment.
3746  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 05, 2022, 11:17:05 AM
Savings and Investment plan for this year??
Hmmmmmmmm maybe just accumulate more Bitcoins like what I'm doing for quite some time already.

I agree with some who said that most of the altcoins are shitcoins because they really is. Some of them are just created to scam people. Some don't even have a community to start with. Some aren't transparent and some doesn't have any use case that will benefit the people and many more.

Well, there might be some altcoins that can give you profit for a year but it still depends on what move will the market does. The OP's strategy though is what most of us investors are doing so its kinda generic and common already. The good thing is you are learning skills to have some funds to be used for investing into crypto which is a good thing Smiley.
3747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 05, 2022, 09:31:31 AM
Let's have some good news first for us PBA fans, specifically the Gin Kings fans here.

Per news below, it seems that the rumors of CStand going to Japan is now scrapped after the latter have signed a three year contract with Ginebra so this means that the SMC management has still trusted the Fil-German banger despite the not so good showing of Ginebra last conference.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/ginebra-locks-standhardinger-to-new-three-year-contract-a793-20220105?ref=home_featured_big

Now I hope the rumors of him going to B-League will be over after a 3 year contract with the Ginebra.
For the Ginebra fans, this is a good thing since they have a reliable center already for 3 years. With regards to SMC trusting him, lets not forget that he was at SMB at first then he went to NorthPort to get Tautuaa and CStand performed since he is at SMB so the management had trust in him. Good thing that he stayed for the SMC management Smiley.

The first days of January this year is not good for us.
Just today, there is 10,775 added cases of COVID19 and it almost doubled since we got at around 5,000 cases just yesterday.

With the positivity rate or around 20% which is 4x higher than the threshold set by the WHO, I'm expecting that this might go even higher possible this week and there is a chance that we see new ATH in terms of cases and if this happens I think that PBA will go semi-bubble or bubble depending on the situation and what will the IATF says. I'm still hoping that PBA will still continue even though it will be a semi-bubble or bubble.
3748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 05, 2022, 09:13:04 AM
I lose my bet on this game but Ja Morant is really awesome.

He is fun to watch.  Amazing how he goes up to try and dunk over anyone despite being the lightest player in the NBA.  His bounce is not human.  He's young enough that he'll be able to do some amazing things for years to come.  Easily the best highlights in the league.
Aside from Gary Payton II, Morant is another player that is always creating highlights every game. His vertical is just out of the roof. He is like prime Gerald Green where he can put his head on to the rim. The Grizzlies as a whole team is doing well in their last games. Winning their last 5 games with Morant leading the scoring in every game. Lets take note too that the Grizzlies is a young team composed with young players. This team has a bright future just don't trade some of their key players like Morant, Bane and Jackson.

Today is the day...  Kyrie taking the floor for the Nets to try and help them snap a 3 game losing streak against the Pacers.  I just wish it was being televised nationally so I'd get the opportunity to watch it, but I'll settle for catching highlights on ESPN/youtube...
I want to watch him live but I think I'll just watch the highlights on Youtube as always Cheesy.
3749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Profitable coin for 2022 on: January 05, 2022, 07:55:16 AM
Let's we discuss about some profitable coin for 2022. No doubt Bitcoin the favourite coin for all-time investment. Besides Bitcoin, which coin will be the most profitable for 2022. I say Harmony, You?
Don't include Bitcoin the most profitable coin for 2022 because not even Bitcoin can be the most profitable coin this year.
When you say profitable coin, you are kinda speculating because you don't know what can happen this year. Are we sure that this year will be a profitable year for those who are holding even the top coins including Bitcoin? What if the bear market starts this year? Will you still get profits? If you are a futures trader maybe you can still get profits but if getting profits in a bear market is hard.

Either way, my other choices of coins that "might" be profitable this year if there is no bear market are ADA, SOL, HBAR, CRO and DOT. My prediction only.
3750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 13th Birthday, Bitcoin. You are a teenager now! on: January 04, 2022, 07:36:23 AM
Its kinda funny at least for me to say to an asset that it is a "teenager" since that word is mostly being used to young kids.
Anyway, if you compare to how fiat evolved Vs. how Bitcoin and crypto evolved you will see that many happened in such a short amount of time.

Bitcoin has been there for around 13 years only but it went up very high and its popularity is still increasing. Though many people aren't investing on it, the fact that they know something about Bitcoin is only a good thing since there is a chance that they might change their mind therefore they will invest into it.

Either way, I agree with what others had posted here that you should post some sources into what you are saying OP because without evidences most of what you said might be false. Stay longer Bitcoin and hope you will have pubic hairs in the succeeding years Cheesy.
3751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 04, 2022, 07:01:57 AM

Ugas won against Manny because he was able to maintain his distance against Manny. Of course Manny is not the old Manny anymore when they met. But credits to Ugas for the win. But in this fight against Spence Jr. I think Spence is a busy boxer. And he will probably outpoint Ugas.

Age finally caught with Pacquiao there's the news and it was confirmed that he suffered from leg cramps, making him hard to move and throw punches, Ugas is fighting a fighter who is at the prime of his career, who always dominate a fight, Ugas is a technical fighter in some ways but Spence is an all-around great boxer in the ring, like Crawford he is flawless, after the match I see Spence winning another version of the welterweight.

Yes. I remember that fight. In the second round. He was over worked, instead of the rest 3days left supposed to be his rest and conditioning, he was pushed to work for training against an orthodox fighter. If it was Spence better bcoanhis 2 mos. training was for only  and just for Spence, and for sure Spence will got his 1st lost via KO if ever. Now if there will be a rematch for Ugas and Pacquiao then you will see a 100% Pacquiao knocking out Ugas compare to a 30% Pacquiao in the previous match bcos of his stiffening legs.

Forget about Manny Pacquiao beating Ugas. There will never be a 100% Pacquiao anymore. Pacquiao is old. He has retired. Of course there is still a possibility that he will come back and fight just like what he did before, but it will never be a 100% Pacquiao. For one, he has already gotten his feet deeply in politics. That must take a lot of focus and attention from him. And of course there's the age factor. Training cannot make up for them so there's no more 100% Pacquiao.

I doubt Spence will win by KO on this one.
There is a chance that Pacquiao will come back but how many percent is that "chance"? Less than 1%.

He isn't like Mayweather that will return to the ring after saying that he is retired just for money. I know that Manny will stand to what he said and he said that he will be retiring and he will just help younger boxers to improve. Another one is that, Pacquiao really is committed already to politics because he is helping the people for a long time already and for him he can help more people if he will be the President. Even though many are doubting about him and saying that he can't be the President for many reasons (including me), he did ran for President. Another one is if Pacquiao and Ugas will have a rematch, I don't think that Pacquiao can beat him since he past his prime already that's why he retired.

Spence is really a great boxer and I'm also thinking that he will KO Ugas in less than 10 rounds (my prediction) but it might be a hard fight I think.
3752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot DOT a good investment q1 2022 on: January 04, 2022, 06:51:40 AM
I was looking at some of the top 50 stablecoins ,and im thinking Polkadot. Apart from erc and bep tokens
As an investor who is just investing on the top coins, I will take DOT as a good investment not only for Q1 but maybe for long term (around 1-3 years).

Polkadot isn't a stablecoin though but maybe you are saying coin at the top which is true at least since it has been there for a year already or more. I'm also thinking of buying DOT too aside from Ethereum not only because I trust the project and I believe that they will be one of the coins that will survive in a bear market but because of its rewards from staking. I'm also a big fan of dividends and I think staking is another form of dividends as they will pay you annually just by holding the token and you can earn more thru capital appreciation.

If you are a conservative investor then just pick those coins at the top but still, invest at your own risk and do your own research.
3753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 04, 2022, 06:39:12 AM

Well then, the PBA has now officially postponed all games this week and now waiting for updates that will come from Games and Amusements Boards and the LGU (Quezon City for Araneta Coliseum, Pasay City for Mall of Asia Arena, Pasig City for Ynares Sports Arena). As for the best option, they can do it again on Ynares Sports Arena with a semi-bubble setup. Shouldn't be a hard task to shift back into that setup now that PBA is somehow already used on it.

Let's wait for news later this week.

PBA games postponed as league awaits GAB, LGU green light

If this alert level will remain the same in the next following weeks that option should be executed, it's not new for PBA to have that kind of setup, they just need to proceed and go with the flow. Better to continue instead of cancelling or wasting time waiting for the government to change the status of NCR.

PBA and all the people behind this league need to discuss the possibilities in much earlier time frame.

This new virus is spreading and if the option that they've got also declared new cases of omicron it will be another delay for this season.
They posted alert level 3 for NCR for January 3-15 and there is a high chance that it will go even longer.

The surge happened only a few days ago and we saw how IATF put the NCR into Alert Level 3. They did it in an instant meaning the rate of spreading of this Omicron Variant is faster than Delta and we saw what Delta did to our country. 20,000+ daily cases in August-September I think (correct me). It might happen again this time and there is also a chance that it will be much higher than 20,000 but the severity of the virus is lower compare to Delta as many new cases are only experiencing fever and colds.

As per PBA, the suspension will go longer unless they will adjust into a semi-bubble like many are saying. They must not expect NCR to go to level 3 to level 2 after January 15 because it will not happen. The number of cases are surging even faster than the Delta Variant and some hospitals are already overwhelmed. Best case scenario I think is going back to semi-bubble. Their re-opening on MOA arena on January 15th might be cancelled because of this surge  Undecided.
3754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 04, 2022, 05:53:40 AM
Looks like Kyrie will be back on the floor for the Nets against the Pacers on Wednesday for his season debut. It will be interesting to see if he fits in right away or if there’s a struggle with him running the offense. Given how the rule changes effected James Harden this year, Kyrie is most assuredly a welcomed addition to the team.
Him and Klay are the top 2 most awaited players to play again this season but I'm still waiting for Klay's return Cheesy.

He is in conditioning phase right now and for the first time since the season started, he will play on the 5th of January. For sure many fans are excited about how much impact and changes can he give with the team. Will his return be beneficial or it is the other way around. Will he help Durant and Harden or its the opposite. They need a comeback after a homecourt loss to Memphis Grizzlies and they will do it with Kyrie.
3755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 03, 2022, 11:29:18 AM
It must be mentioned a lot in here enough but nevertheless I can't get over how cool it was that DeRozan hit two buzzer beaters back to back in two days. He has grown so much this season as in being a very solid scorer and a very dependable player. Bulls are 24-10 right now. They will still get over the Bucks to get to NBA Finals and still, if they can get to the finals, the team from western conference will be a very strong opponent. I feel like a team from west might get the championship this year.
He is playing like when he was in Toronto where him and Lowry are the leaders of the team.
In fact, he is the first player in NBA history that did 2 consecutive buzzer beaters and to do that is very hard. It just shows how the Bulls are trusting him in the most crucial seconds of the game.

The Bulls is a playoff contender no doubt about it but I don't think that they are enough to win a championship. I mean there is the Suns team and another is the Bucks and another is the Warriors and the Nets team. Well, its too early to predict but what can I say is that the Bulls are just one of the most surprising teams right now alongside Cavaliers Smiley.
3756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 03, 2022, 10:56:12 AM
The Poblacion girl is the main reason why we had a superspreader. Now, the PBA games has go again in a bubble, no audiences allowed. I'm stucked on thinking that we're just 9k active cases just the remaining days of December 2021 and then we're now again at 21k active daily cases and it's not going to stop there. I've seen the announcement that they're planning to go on the bubble and we'll see that eventually once they announce it. The PBA is just trying to recover and allowed the audiences to watch and here we go, we're back again to limited people.

This is indeed bad news, after all, we had last year, I thought we gonna finally end the pandemic in our country this year but the contrary is currently happening, more strict rules are being implemented again. I wonder how much time do we left until we go back to normal and watch our favorite team in the coliseum as usual without a mask or face shield. right now all we can hope is the matter will not get worse as the problem is arising, a high percentage of people has already been vaccinated and the infected will be decrease, unlike last year.
Yeah, everyone is expecting that we're about to at least stabilize the situation of the pandemic but this girl came and broke the quarantine rules, and worst, she infected her friends and now we're on the spread again. This is terrible and ridiculous. One wrong action and all industries are affected by her wrongdoings. The income of the PBA will be lessen again and we might see them again dwell in huge loss just because of the alert level 3.

We cannot stop the spread anymore, it already happened, let's just listen to the order of the government as they know better how to handle the situation. If that will result for the PBA to be stopped for awhile, then we should accept it, it's not time for blaming now, it's time for adjusting and accept the current situation.
Blaming somebody will lead to nothing because it already happened. There will be some who will bash her online which is quite normal already and we know our countrymen. They are good at bashing but they don't see themselves.

Anyway, its announced that the PBA will stop the games from January 5-9 because of the surge of cases and the Alert Level 3. There is also a chance that this might go longer and January 5-9 isn't enough. Right now, the best thing that we can do is to just be safe and be curious about our environment and always do health and safety protocols. This girl is an undisciplined girl indeed and knowing that she came from US where they will just do what they want because they have this "freedom" mindset, its not surprising that she will do this and knowing too that she came from a rich family. Lets just accept it, move on and be safe Smiley.
3757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The moment of truth on: January 01, 2022, 01:59:46 PM
This is the moment of truth, today is 1st of January 2022 will crypto market start retracing 60k after holidays is over? Or the market is tired of pumping and will fall even Futher? This questions have been on my mind for a while now because to be honest bulls have been here for two years already I'd say this is one of a kind bull market so far but what's keeping crypto at this stronger phase?
In the past few weeks, we've seen Bitcoin went sideways for a bit at around $40,000-$50,000 and it might stay that ways for a few more weeks before we see who will prevail.
Right now, its hard to know if what will happen in the next few weeks to months. You are right that the bulls are controlling the market since March 2020 when the pandemic has been announced and TBH, I'm also expecting as well that the market might enter a big correction phase this year but there are no confirmations to it right now so we are only predicting and we don't know what might happen in the future.

I think the best thing to do is to just wait for what will happen and lets be ready into whatever will happen. If it goes up, make a plan and if it goes down also make a plan.
3758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 01, 2022, 01:44:57 PM
Lakers gave us a nice new year gift last night.  Grin  I mean especially Lebron did it. Because in the game they completely destroyed Portland by 139-106, Lebron showed a superb performance with 43 points and 14 rebounds. Westbrook got a 50% field goal success but he still didn't score many points. He still managed to make a triple-double with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. And Lillard's poor performance played an important role in this loss also. He was able to score only 18 points. He was performing double this performance in his previous recent games.
The Trailblazers are right now one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA if not the worst and see that open dunk of Lebron in the 3rd? That is just a proof that they really is a bad defensive team.

It seems like the smaller line up of Lakers are working with them and they've done it also in 2020 Bubble where they won a championship. Lebron as the point center is working with them since they have a faster pace compare to when they got one big in their starting line up. Davis don't want to play center and he's inefficient when playing at 5 so its needed that they need to put another center which slows the pace of the team. With having a starting line up like that, the pace is faster and it is working with the Lakers very well. Maybe they can continue to have a starting line up like this in their future games.

A good start of the year for Lebron as he dominated the whole Blazers team.
3759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling mistakes and amendment on: January 01, 2022, 08:55:14 AM
I believe some of us would have made some mistakes too from one way or the other which I believe you will amend in this new year. I am wishing you all in this gambling board happy new year. Do not let us forget the rules, we should not be addicted, we should be mindful of managing our funds and use the amount we can afford to lose while gambling, we should take gambling just for fun itf it and not a business borna way to make money.
Like other posted here, I didn't do any gambling mistakes this year probably because of my past mistakes and at the same time I have no money that is intended for gambling.

Anyway, I agree with what OP said that we should not get addicted into gambling but whatever advice we say to gamblers there will be some who will continue to gamble so I think the best thing to say is that learn self control and self discipline Smiley. Well, there will be gamblers who will suffer from losing so.. learning from them will help them. Just don't take losses and gambling in general seriously so that you will not feel depressed whenever you lost. Happy New Year to all gamblers and future gamblers out there  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
3760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 01, 2022, 07:54:25 AM
PBA are not open to that because they see this as a disadvantage for them, looks like they don’t want people to panic that much about the injury but of course we can’t stop anyone from making such speculation. Nevertheless, maybe we should focus more now on the players that are already playing, this can help you to analyze well on which team to place your bet, don’t focus much on those injuries those are part of the game I believe.

Not knowing who's gonna play or not is a big disadvantage for us sports bettors and frustrating to a basketball fan that wants to watch the PBA live as may be disappointed being in the arena but not seeing the players they wants to watch as they are out because of injury, that is why they have to be transparent with player's injury IMO.

With NCR reverted back to alert level 3, anyone knows what changes the PBA would make to continue this season?
This is alarming TBH and this is happening very quick that there is a chance that the hospitals might not react fast enough to lessen the cases.
I mean researchers already said that Omicron has a faster spreading rate than Delta and we saw what Delta Variant did - a peak of 20,000 cases daily. Add more the fact that the immune protection of the person getting vaccinated decreases if they got the Omicron variant and only increases by booster shots.

I'm thinking that they might enter the bubble again (hope not). Best scenario is that they will decrease the capacity the arena accepts and they will still continue what they are doing. They might  become stricter and those only with booster shots are the ones who can enter the arena but this is in the future since the number of people who got booster shots right now is very low still and most of them are health workers. Hope this quick surge of cases and the alert level 3 of the NCR will not affect the PBA.
