The Poblacion girl is the main reason why we had a superspreader. Now, the PBA games has go again in a bubble, no audiences allowed. I'm stucked on thinking that we're just 9k active cases just the remaining days of December 2021 and then we're now again at 21k active daily cases and it's not going to stop there. I've seen the announcement that they're planning to go on the bubble and we'll see that eventually once they announce it. The PBA is just trying to recover and allowed the audiences to watch and here we go, we're back again to limited people.

This is indeed bad news, after all, we had last year, I thought we gonna finally end the pandemic in our country this year but the contrary is currently happening, more strict rules are being implemented again. I wonder how much time do we left until we go back to normal and watch our favorite team in the coliseum as usual without a mask or face shield. right now all we can hope is the matter will not get worse as the problem is arising, a high percentage of people has already been vaccinated and the infected will be decrease, unlike last year.
Yeah, everyone is expecting that we're about to at least stabilize the situation of the pandemic but this girl came and broke the quarantine rules, and worst, she infected her friends and now we're on the spread again. This is terrible and ridiculous. One wrong action and all industries are affected by her wrongdoings. The income of the PBA will be lessen again and we might see them again dwell in huge loss just because of the alert level 3.

We cannot stop the spread anymore, it already happened, let's just listen to the order of the government as they know better how to handle the situation. If that will result for the PBA to be stopped for awhile, then we should accept it, it's not time for blaming now, it's time for adjusting and accept the current situation.
Blaming somebody will lead to nothing because it already happened. There will be some who will bash her online which is quite normal already and we know our countrymen. They are good at bashing but they don't see themselves.

Anyway, its announced that the PBA will stop the games from January 5-9 because of the surge of cases and the Alert Level 3. There is also a chance that this might go longer and January 5-9 isn't enough. Right now, the best thing that we can do is to just be safe and be curious about our environment and always do health and safety protocols. This girl is an undisciplined girl indeed and knowing that she came from US where they will just do what they want because they have this "freedom" mindset, its not surprising that she will do this and knowing too that she came from a rich family. Lets just accept it, move on and be safe Smiley.

I don't think that the PBA games will be stopped. I've seen a proposal that they'll go in a bubble but the question is where. I don't know if it will be in Ynares or in the Araneta.
Just like what they've originally planned before the opening with the live audience. I guess we just have to embrace the situation, we really don't like it at all. But because of that girl, things become worst.

A bubble will be the last option but we can stop blaming here as it will not change anything. PBA already know how to handle a bubble set up as they made a successful conference before in a bubble, although players don't like it they have no choice as the restriction is getting tighter now and PBA are in a mission to continue their conference as they already invested on the imports who are playing.

They already postponed the games for this week while they are still thinking for the possible solution with this one. Yes, I'm confident that they already know how to handle this and know how to operate on a bubble system, they have no more choice. I guess they can still paly in NCR for a bubble set-up, let's hope that other city will allow PBA to continue playing and yes, let's also pray for the safety of the players.

We are not worried anymore as unlike in the past, they cannot stop the PBA season now, they always find a way to continue even it will cost a lot of money for them. They are helping us actually because they give entertainment despite they are not making enough money from their league at the current situation.

This is what we need right now and its really good that PBA is doing their best to continue the conference, maybe later this week we might hear a good news about their bubble system plan, so just keep updated and keep supporting PBA even at home, you can still make a big difference. Stay safe everyone and don't forget to be thankful everyday for the gift of life, PBA will make this through!

Well then, the PBA has now officially postponed all games this week and now waiting for updates that will come from Games and Amusements Boards and the LGU (Quezon City for Araneta Coliseum, Pasay City for Mall of Asia Arena, Pasig City for Ynares Sports Arena). As for the best option, they can do it again on Ynares Sports Arena with a semi-bubble setup. Shouldn't be a hard task to shift back into that setup now that PBA is somehow already used on it.

Let's wait for news later this week.

If this alert level will remain the same in the next following weeks that option should be executed, it's not new for PBA to have that kind of setup, they just need to proceed and go with the flow. Better to continue instead of cancelling or wasting time waiting for the government to change the status of NCR.

PBA and all the people behind this league need to discuss the possibilities in much earlier time frame.

This new virus is spreading and if the option that they've got also declared new cases of omicron it will be another delay for this season.

The COVID cases in the Philippines have sky-rocketed in the past few weeks and this decision was a matter of time to be taken. Now that all the games are postponed, the federation can have a think about what to do next.

Maybe the semi-bubble idea could be a good one to start with as they are already accustomed to the process already. Hope the cases will go down and the games will roll out as before.

As I understand reading the article, PBA already has a concrete plan but they can't just do it on their own as they need approval from IATF or GAB. Let's hope that these government agencies will decide right away on the fate of PBA this week for PBA not to hang again. It's not sure that the current restriction will be lifted until January 15 now that again, the daily case was recorded around 4,000+.

Everything is now in the hands of IATF or GAB and PBA is just waiting for their response.

Things like this can happen as long as there are rich spoiled kids, and we can't really prevent that from happening. So blaming the girl won't really help at all on what are we experiencing right now. And we can already expect that there are some setbacks to the plans especially the live games of PBA, but I seriously don't think that the games would be stopped and will be postponed because PBA can still manage to continue the games but sadly only the players and peoples involved in the said games are the only allowed to enter. So, there's no spectators allowed and I guess we're back again watching in TV for some games in livestreams.

Yes, and we do hope that IATF will allow PBA to just continue in a semi-bubble setup. PBA already knows the drill when setting up it at.

In the first place, PBA assured before that they are capable of spending money to operate a costly bubble setup just to entertain the people during pandemic. Even there's no mention of until when, it's not that they are almost out of funds for 3-4 years. They are a big institution with a strong foundation.

The postponement should return next week. IATF needs to take action quickly so PBA can prepare right away.

Much better than a complete postponement until everything will go back into Alert Level 2. Besides, it's just recently where PBA allowed live audience therefore, players are still used to playing in a no-crowd environment.

No choice but to comply. If we look at the latest bulletin of the DOH, still not alarming because the majority of the cases are only mild. It's just that because it was a big number, it gives a negative reaction right away to the people without seeing the detailed stats.

PBA games postponed as league awaits GAB, LGU green light

That's what I've seen that they'll be having a bubble and this is going to be another adjustment for them. But since this alert level system is just going within 2 weeks. I think that eventually, we'll be back again to alert level 2 that quick. I saw the news that there are only 2 omicron cases left and hopefully the newer ones aren't infected with omicron but it's just the normal surge because of the holidays.

It's actually their first choice as they have to continue the games. A bubble setup is another costly method for them but they have no option but to keep on going. But there's already the update and let's wait if that's going to happen within their next updates.

So, there's no spectators allowed and I guess we're back again watching in TV for some games in livestreams.

Much better than a complete postponement until everything will go back into Alert Level 2. Besides, it's just recently where PBA allowed live audience therefore, players are still used to playing in a no-crowd environment.

Yeah, the good thing (though not good  Sad) about the new cases is that they are mild, compared to the delta variant where the ones who is infected will have difficulty breathing.

The positivity rate dropped to 28 percent which is a little bit good compared to the positivity rate two - three days ago.

With the postponement of all the games this week i think we will have to wait a little longer because we can see PBA again because i don't think IATF will allow them to play even in a bubble which is also very costly for the PBA.

They posted alert level 3 for NCR for January 3-15 and there is a high chance that it will go even longer.

The surge happened only a few days ago and we saw how IATF put the NCR into Alert Level 3. They did it in an instant meaning the rate of spreading of this Omicron Variant is faster than Delta and we saw what Delta did to our country. 20,000+ daily cases in August-September I think (correct me). It might happen again this time and there is also a chance that it will be much higher than 20,000 but the severity of the virus is lower compare to Delta as many new cases are only experiencing fever and colds.

As per PBA, the suspension will go longer unless they will adjust into a semi-bubble like many are saying. They must not expect NCR to go to level 3 to level 2 after January 15 because it will not happen. The number of cases are surging even faster than the Delta Variant and some hospitals are already overwhelmed. Best case scenario I think is going back to semi-bubble. Their re-opening on MOA arena on January 15th might be cancelled because of this surge  Undecided.

I'm not sure if they can go with a semi bubble setup where a bubble setup is safer. If they want to ensure that the season will not be stopped, they need to make sure players are not going home with their family, that's too risky as they don't know if whom they mingle with are already positive with this new omicron virus.

This omicron virus is the main reason why some of the PBA games has cancelled. The omicron  virus spread faster than corona. When the time was come and the PBA games back in araneta then now this virus spread and stopped the games for a while.
The players must  need to sacrifice them selves in order to protect their family and their health.

Bubble might be the best one, it will also be safer than semi-bubble like what you have said.

Moreover, to this, is there any update from the PBA if what will be the next step after cancelling all the games that supposedly scheduled

inside NCR? I'm still positive that the league will find the fittest way to continue this season, they needed to work things out and make sure

the safety of each individual who is participating around.

We've been in this kind of situation before, it's not new to us so the PBA organization will eventually find a way to continue the pending conference. A bubble would be ideal, at least that will ensure that the maximum safety protocol is implemented and no one can enter in the venue except for the players and staff.
