How else can Forum Cry-Babies 'Hit-n-Run' without being able to lock a thread after getting in (what they perceive as being) the LAST word ?

Thread Locking shows who squats to pee and who can actually maintain civil communication without meltdowns, resulting in running away.

100% agreed, I see a lot of companies do it after a person points out a flaw in what they are trying to do!

Unfortunately the BTC address is not filled in anymore. Tried unintall, restart GC, install again - to no avail.

you may have reenter it on the settings page, cause i did make changes to the data structure, but I am looking into it right now
3743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Looking for a Free shipping calaculator that queries Fedex, USPS, UPS on: June 15, 2012, 02:40:08 AM
I have some perl code somewhere that does this I could probably dig up if you are interested.  I don't remember, but you probably need to register with FedEx and UPS to get API keys.

if you dig it up put it up on gist, I wouldn't mind looking at it.

Nice idea, and cool animations, I am enjoying it so far. Also just keep it low key.

sad news i just check none of those shipping companies give an api, so that company cut a backdoor deal with those shippers to get an api to query them.

3750  Bitcoin / Project Development / A bitcoin programmers job board project on: June 03, 2012, 04:18:43 AM
So after I posted this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=84951.msg937407 I came to the point that people want a bitcoin job board.

Some features I already working on,
  • Feedback of developers and job posters
  • Profiles, but anyone can post ads or respond
  • After a developer gets a job with a poster and poster confirms this, the post becomes a private or public message board to discuss the project/task at hand(SUGGESTED)
  • Developers will be able to add all skills that they have to a profile and search based on that
  • RSS of all jobs
  • As developers and posters that have created accounts will be able to rank into trusted members

If you guys want any other questions/features just leave them in this thread, and this thread will also serve as a way to update the community about this project...
3751  Bitcoin / Project Development / [Ideas] I have two ideas and I want to see if these would interest the community on: June 02, 2012, 09:41:01 PM
1) My first idea is a site where IOS or maybe branch into android developers can submit redeem codes to the site, and we would sell them for BTCs. The btc price could reflect the current USD to BTC conversion, or the developer could set a new BTC price of there choosing.

2) My second idea is a good place for bitcoin working developers, I haven't really seen one that is just for programmers. It would be like rent-a-coder, but very different people can make profiles and anyone could setup an ad, there would be trusted ad posters and trusted developers.

So those are just two ideas I want the community to gauge for me, and who knows either one could be a reality...

Seriously Gweedo?

yea why? I look at it this way, if he runs away with 4btc, it isn't going to kill me and we find another scammer, otherwise I help a new member build some loan credit as well as make a quick and easy bitcoin. I think this dude is good and is going to pay me back so I have faith.

Have you stopped to think that maybe you just gave 4 BTC more to a new account of the SAME scammer?
Next time you can just throw away the bitcoins to the address in my signature. I will at least say "Thank you".

And then people ask how come there's so many scamers on this forum... I wonder why....

He said thank you LOL I have faith this dude will get me my 5btc, anyway how else we going to help new members build credit, can't think everyone is a scammer can we. Plus look at all the eyes on this thread, he will do the right thing, otherwise we laugh at me cause I wanted to help a new member build credit LOL

3756  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Deleting addresses in client on: May 31, 2012, 12:22:58 AM
How do you delete addresses in the bitcoin client?

Thanks!

you could dump the wallet, then delete the wallet, create a new wallet file, then reimport the ones you want to keep, but why delete, just reuse that is what I do, I have about 50 address and I just keep reusing them, unless your super paranoid.
3757  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to begin mining from a VPS terminal? on: May 30, 2012, 03:23:29 PM
I purchased a VPS and have permission to use it to mine.

I'm just wondering if there's a guide out there that shows how to begin mining from a VPS terminal. I'm logged in via Putty.
I know I can simply install a desktop and mine, but would rather not. The desktop requires a minimum of 300mb ram. I'd rather put that processing power to good use.

If anyone has experience with this or knows how to do this, I would appreciate any help!

Thanks!

look for a miner that works on linux then I use would the command
Code:
screen
to make sure when you logout of ssh the process still runs, and you can log back in with
Code:
screen
to see everything that was output during the screen session while you were gone
3758  Economy / Services / Re: Want a custom Bitcoin address? [Vanitygen] on: May 30, 2012, 03:18:14 PM
oclvanitygen works fine on GPUs.

However, a better use of your time would be to hack up vanitygen/oclvanitygen so that you can generate addresses but not know the private key. It is possible, but I don't know the technical requirements, and it would require mods to the software. Try searching the forum; there was a thread just a few days ago saying what changes needed to be made.

yea but you need to know C which is kinda pain there is also a hacky python version

Are there others with this strange view?

Didi you really disable all your addons?or clear your cache?

Yes, I did both
3760  Economy / Services / Re: Want a custom Bitcoin address? [Vanitygen] on: May 30, 2012, 06:17:55 AM
But vanitygen is only CPU and doesn't include any GPU code, did you update it to run on GPUs? Also you encrypting it, I mean you can just keep a copy of the private key and take out small funds without the person even knowing, cause it sounds like you manually encrypted it, unless again you hacked the vanitygen to output it into some encrypted form. Sounds a little too risky for me.

It does run on GPUs. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9542654/btc/VANITY%21.png
really? cause i am going by what the readme says https://github.com/samr7/vanitygen

Yes, I could easily remove whatever funds I would like if I had the desire to, but I can guarantee that when you confirm you have received the key I will destroy my copy. This operation does require an amount of trust, which I believe most people here will give me.

but your on windows which means you can't even use a pipe so you can't see it :/ I am just being a security freak js
