3761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you leaving? on: February 07, 2015, 03:36:19 PM
I have been in to Bitcoins for more than 3 years now. Yes... I have seen people leaving... but it was mostly as a result of being conned or having their coins stolen.

Same here. heard people leave because they had their coins stolen, but no one because of the price swings.

I still dont know how ppl r getting their coins stolen.. Use offline wallets guys..if u have a big amount of money.!

It depends on the number of transactions you make per day.
Using offline wallets can be painful if there are a lot of transactions to be processed.

I like to do some moves weekly in the market and its really really annoying having to go to my bitcoin qt wallet and get my coins back to an exchange everytime i want to invest, but its the secure way, no way im leaving my coins at an exchange.
3762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Spent over 1000USD on: February 06, 2015, 11:41:36 PM
I have 2.69 bitcoins and the total amount I bought them for (at different rates obviously) is 867GBP = 1300USD Sad Price is still very low Sad Will we ever see an increase to make a return on investment?

Nope, sorry. Incase you didn't know this already, but BTC was actually nothing more than tulip mania - that is what you are seeing unfold for more than a year. The floor will be dictated by the amounts of drugs bought using bitcoin. So guess it's not really tulip mania Smiley Expect $1-5 by the end of the year.

When prices were rising, all the people were talking about $10,000, while the prices fall people always say "we will hit $10 tomorrow". Please do not enlarge what are happening.
People here tend to be extremely emotional and delusional about their own investments. OP will sell then he will regret. Same old story of the people that cant invest long term.
3763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prepare for another year of slow declining prices on: February 06, 2015, 11:35:25 PM
why do you think another year of declining prices?
Because trends say so, unless unexpected stuff happens.
3764  Economy / Economics / Re: Who control our bitcoins? WE do!! ☆ BANK RUN ☆ on: February 06, 2015, 11:34:15 PM
we are all waiting for decentralized exchange like open bazar, they should finish this year their job

We are all waiting for bitcoin to be global reserve currency so that we can abandon all exchanges.
By the time allts will also be proven worthless.

If you like investing and speculating like me you'll still want exchanges to have fun with Cheesy
3765  Economy / Economics / Re: lets make bitcoin price high on: February 06, 2015, 11:31:45 PM
So have you began to pump the price yet because i am not seeing it  Sad

Need a good price to rid these coins please hurry
Why dont you just hold for 5 years then come back? or actually dump them for the people that want to buy cheap.
3766  Economy / Economics / Re: Quantity theory of money and cryptos. on: February 06, 2015, 11:30:31 PM
You would need a quantum computer for it to be operation, unless you dont have the resources its kinda pointless.
3767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who knows Satoshi Nakamoto ? on: February 06, 2015, 11:29:35 PM
Satoshi is Nick szabo and company and Vitalik has "spoken with him in person"

What proof do you or vitalik have? vitalik has said a lot of things that i dont believe.
3768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100 in BTC PRIZE. 8 Person Chess Tournament on: February 06, 2015, 11:27:19 PM
Great, good initiative, we need more stuff like this. What game will it be? i guess it will be with an online multiplayer game.
3769  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: February 06, 2015, 11:25:25 PM
Sell, and move to the mountains.  Smiley

This is the best plan of all!

You need not of the material wealth of this world it's an illusion just like Bitcoin, although it will help fund some sheep and build a home in the side of the mountain.

EDIT: ^^ http://imgur.com/kOTj8QE

Living in the mountain sounds fine and dandy but what will happen when you get confronted with wild animals and so on? or random bandits. I would be able to sleep at night.
3770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ulbricht To Be Sentenced On May 15th on: February 06, 2015, 01:27:18 AM
I guess the FEDS or whatever will save them, or audit them, same as they did with the other Silk Road coins.
3771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When your coins are stolen on: February 06, 2015, 01:21:57 AM
I don't know if I'm lucky, but it never happened to me.

To prevent that, and to learn from the others' mistakes, I'd like to know how some people were stolen. Did it happened while the money was at an exchange? Was that from a hacker who gained access to the home computer?
All stoles ever:

1) Left coins at exchange
2) Got hacked (installed malware)

Not all but like 99%
3772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mtgox price manipulation question on: February 06, 2015, 01:20:00 AM

3773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi is amomg us on: February 06, 2015, 01:12:36 AM

It's time for this guy to get some responsability and come out of the closet as Nakamoto, then run for president of the USA.
3774  Other / Off-topic / Re: Reason(s) Satoshi Nakamoto left Bitcoin on: February 06, 2015, 12:58:28 AM
His work there was done, the foundations of the blockchain dont need more work and other people can continue te job.
3775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you leaving? on: February 06, 2015, 12:56:44 AM
Did you see someone who is leaving Bitcoin? I mean dropping out from Bitcoin.

I did, recently I saw two persons who are leaving Bitcoin, they wrote down what they experienced, One of them said he had thinking this for whole night, and finally decided to leave: sell all the coins and withdraw the deposit,he is tired of watching the price all the day.

The other one said he is a innocent student and made some money from Bitcoin including Alts IPO, Trading, BTT accounts business. He wrote down the whole experience in Bitcoin,But now,he said he want to fall back, frauds from community are boring him,so he decided to leave.

I fell a lot of regrets, after reading their story, are the number of people of the community is falling? Bitcoin is a letdown for some people?
Im staying. The best is to come. When people start leaving in despair they start missing the good shit.
3776  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Coinbase pump is over on: February 05, 2015, 02:25:22 AM
Damn, this sucks but a lot of people profited from this pump.

Then again, many lost.
Of course. Bitcoin is zero sum. For every winner, there must be a loser.

Everything is a zero sum. Also greece is bailing out, i dont know if it will have an impact in the price, it might.
3777  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama is about to ask for the largest Pentagon budget in history on: February 05, 2015, 02:23:25 AM
I think the ISIS demanding money for the Japanese hostages might have a role to play in this request being made.
You need to lay off that tinfoil hait for a while boy.
3778  Other / Politics & Society / Re: USA & North Korea Could Resume DeNuclearization Talks on: February 05, 2015, 02:22:33 AM

3779  Other / Politics & Society / Re: European Union Currency Issues on: February 05, 2015, 02:13:56 AM
News just in: Merkel says NO to Varoufakis. Like I said... greece will go out of the euro. Bailout is happening SOON. People dont trust the €. I know people there, people is removing their money from their bank accounts and hiding under bricks. Its happening.
3780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: February 05, 2015, 02:06:37 AM
Many of the early adopters that I know have cashed out the amount that they initially invested so that they are left will all house money...and are just watching from the sidelines right now
Yeah, its a minority the ones that kept even a small amount.
