Another bought account for ico scam?? Prove you are legit dec, no identity = no money.

Guys remember declouds, opair, orable, zion scams and so forth, they are all bought account scams.  Angry

EDIT: Sorry I misjudged the project. I confirm this project it is legit, I was too sensitive about those scamswith bought accounts before.

The reservations that I have, from even seeing past Anns for this coin is that the OP comes with like a posse, crew, hommies, whatever, all pumping a brand new coin that nobody has ever heard off as if it's the most revolutionary thing ever. Not saying that it's a scam, but they do seem to be making a coordinated effort to pump up this coin. So I would expect for this ANN to have lots, and lots of pages and activity, but mostly due to the posse hyping it.
You are probably absolutely correct. Although I changed my signature, I'm very skeptical. The most that I can see me gambling on this prospect is 0.1 BTC. We will see if they can succeed in making me a devotee. I'm usually the first to flip to an ugly troll with these cryptoprojects.
3763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UR - Distributed Via A World-wide Airdrop, Based on Ethereum on: October 16, 2016, 04:46:22 AM
Interesting. Another reason that I should finally upgrade my flip phone. Cheesy
congratulations ,you got a new cellphone.

Not yet. I'm still trying to bring myself to spending the extra money. However, my flip phone is starting to become a joke that I tell to my friends.  Cheesy

Now back on topic. OP, this Airdrop distribution fund. Will it be an automated function of the blockchain, or will human actors be in total control of the fund? I just want to know what measures will be taken that would prevent human actors from distributing a substantial portion of the funds to themselves, dump and move on. I know that it will be transparent. But a fast move by a bad actor can take a matter of minutes and not give time for the community to react.

Edit: I see that the OP answers this question. Sort of.
Q: How do we know the UFF Funds won’t be dumped on an exchange?
A: The UFF funds will be trackable through publicly auditable addresses and announced transactions.

But will this be enforceable by a well written smart contract? Some other function of the blockchain? Otherwise, it involves us absolutely trusting the individual(s) who have control of the private keys for the addresses of the fund.

We also had Bill Gross recommend Bitcoin

I currently use silver as a savings account and Bitcoin as a checking account.  When I need to spend fiat, I have a reloadable Bitpay Visa card.  You can have $0 on it and send some Bitcoin to an address linked to the Bitpay account, and within 60 seconds your Visa card is credited with fiat.  No need to even use a bank now.

This way of spending fiat is interesting for me. How much fee you need to pay for each transaction (other than BTC tx fee)?

How do I get a BitPay Prepaid Visa® Card?
You can order your BitPay Prepaid Visa® Card for $9.95.
What fees will I pay to use this card?

There are no transaction fees for using the card to pay in the US. When traveling outside of the United States of America you will pay a fee of 3% to cover the cost of currency conversion.

There is a $2.00 fee for ATM or cash-back withdrawals inside the US and a $3.00 fee for any ATM or cash-back withdrawals outside of the country.

For more information and a full Schedule of Fees, view your Cardholder Agreement.

3766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: want to start a alcoin , any engineer here ? on: October 16, 2016, 03:52:07 AM
Before starting an altcoin, I hope the OP at least has some basic understanding of how it all works. The OP may need to take over, in case the development team (s)he hires decides to go AWOL.

Agree with this , if yo-u decided  to create an altcoin you must  really know the  fundamentals of it and  other  things related into it for you to have  knowledge about  on the altcoin  who you plan to made. Others saidalready you could already create altcoin on smaller  amounts  below 20btc is overkill.

but if he's running a scam who cares if the developers leave?

The best scams always have staying power. If the person with the idea has no idea how to keep it going, that person can't inflict it on the community for an extended period of time. You want your crytopscam to be chronic, not acute. Cheesy
3767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔹🅰RK🔹 [PRE-ANN][ARK] Putting the Currency back into Crypto on: October 16, 2016, 03:42:00 AM

yes, true mass adoption as of right now seems like a dream for any cryptocurrency.  But does that mean we should all give up now?  We obviously don't know for sure what or who will be the ones to hit a home run  service, technology, or product that brings cryptocurrency into the true limelight.  Yes and going into debt through having something to do with ARK is #2 of 2 in our priorities list stated in the OP Cheesy

OK, I'll give up my Yoshit signature just for you. Don't expect me to change my avatar though. I like Sue.

What kind of equipment is one going to need to be a delegate? I gather that the delegates will only be the ones that have the resources to pay for pricey VPS services.  Angry I'm sorry, but I do not see how 51 delegates is decentralized. True, other holders will be able to vote them in and out. However, most governments also have a voting system, and they are far from decentralized. I'm much more comfortable with having 51 main delegates and a guest delegate being selected each round from anyone who has any votes, and not in the top 51.
I know how this is going to sound but there are good reasons we chose this figure.  We have all worked around DPoS and have a clear view of what has been happening recently.  Though we are very ambiguous at this time, our goal may not be about making it more decentralized but rather on consumer adoption.  Which in the end helps out the whole crypto community rather than just ourselves.

We are creating a brand new voting system but at the same time, we want to avoid the wastefulness of some other projects.  I agree with you that there should be a fairer distribution of who gets to "forge".   Wink

The problem with getting mass adoption is that the masses want the opportunity to go into debt. The masses don't want to wait and save to get the items they are looking for. Buy now, pay later. Since cryptocurrencies as a whole are ill equipped to provide this service ATM, the mass adoption dream will have a hard time coming to fruition. It's the big ticket items like homes and cars that make an economy run. Even Paypal gives people the opportunity to attach a credit line to it.

If you buy them this weekend it can most likely be good because the future of the ETH is good and it will grow a lot more too, keep up the good work guys form ETH!
I think buying it is good, its not like the other altcoins.

Please let me know what DAPP or smart contract is actually worth a shit so that I can buy these fuel tokens. Otherwise, I have no use for ETH.

I do not understand how the Donald and China can agree on anything. I thought the Donald hated China because they have been taking away American jobs.

Good time to short as usual. Lol

The only problem with shorting is that you actually have to buy ETH to close your position. No thanks.  Roll Eyes Don't want to help the whales pump ETH while they squeeze me out of my short.
3774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This Weekend I Will Be Mostly Buying ETH on: October 08, 2016, 05:05:35 PM
Shouldn't this thread have been started in the speculation(altcoin) board? Mprep should lock this tread and move to trashcan. I do not see any meaningful analysis as to why I should gobble up some ETH, except the price is low. Given the recent attacks on the network, I don't see any reason at all to invest.

Edit: Either I was having a brain fart, or the thread was moved.  Cheesy
3775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: September 29, 2016, 06:01:10 AM
This has the potential to replace free wordpress and blogspot hostings, as well as @medium.

But how do steem earn revenue?

Only from the buy support on the exchanges at this time.

The Promoted tab earns a bit of advertising revenue but it isn't much at this point, maybe a few hundred dollars per day.

I thought the SBD for promoted goes to @null, so is basically burned. I'm not sure one can consider that revenue per se. Just supply control.

3777  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [FAQ] Is BitCoin a Ponzi or pyramid scheme? (Newbie-Friendly) on: September 29, 2016, 04:07:20 AM
First, I am really new here but I signed up a long time ago and gave up. I came back at the urging of my partner because we argue when we talk about bitcoin. Is there an introduction thread here where I introduce myself like on other forums?

My question is that maybe bitcoin does not meet the requirements of a Ponzi or a Pyramid but might it meet the definition of some other scheme that could be considered illegal? Could I get into trouble for playing with bitcoin? I am in the USA.

Bitcoin is legal in the USA. However, the community is fraught with a bunch of schemers and scammers. If you decide to get involved with Bitcoin and other altcoins, just know there is a lot of underhanded and downright criminal stuff going on.  The same can be said when you take the internet as a whole into consideration...

May be in future it will be better than Steem...

Well, almost any way to make the initial distribution has to be better than Steem. Their initial distribution sucked with the sneaky mine.
3780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann]YOYOW-You Own Your Own Words-A media content producing and sharing platform on: September 24, 2016, 05:11:52 PM
Hello dev, its nice for bringing up this new POF concept. Just like to ask for further info, do you have a tuned solution or measures for spun or copied content for the platform? How safe putting unique content? I think this will be very competitive on users in terms of Niches, but rewards will be based on traffic, that includes ads, so more advantage for webmasters with such premium traffic tools.

Compared with other social media platforms, like DECENT, STEEMIT, LBRY, SYNERO.. Out trump card is the big-data/data-mining based algorithm to filter trash contents or copied contents. Plus, a diverse and decentralized moderators team will help to monitor such things.

The essence of PoF is that any content that brings flow(except for illegal ones) to our platform can be rewarded, even bots. If the content that provided by a bot is more attractive and brings more clicks/votes, then this bot will be rewarded more, compared to a human.

So what is to prevent someone from creating a trojan that creates a bunch of zombies that create "flow" to their selected posts? I wouldn't want someone to get heavily rewarding from implementing something just a step below a DDOS attack.
