I went and backtested Armstrong's recent talks over the last few months.  Someone asked him on camera around March what he thought metals were going to do in the near future and if he was bullish.  He said they weren't going to do much and then the price exploded upwards shortly after.  Other people have noticed after Brexit that metals (and Bitcoin) benefited more over the US dollar, so this whole conspiracy that the world is going to all-in on the dollar during financial collapse is baseless IMO.  

When a severe lack of trust forms over the competency and solvency of the EU governance, NOBODY is saying to themselves "hey, maybe I should invest in the American government run by the same banks and people."  

The real truth is the USD is backed by the words Leading Super Power and that is a fact that will not be denied and is the reason USD is and will be the standard for as long as TPTB hold that power. We can like it or not but it is an inalienable fact.

I think floating exchange rates will be the pretext to use a fixed rate monetary unit but I would only be guessing what would be the reason for this to happen of course because I am no expert and my magic 8 ball may be malfunctioning.

Did not see you post a timeline for Fart Bubble coin, so we can assume you will have it ready , Half Past Never.

IMO , Silver is Great and normally traded by the poor since gold becomes too expensive.
Plus it antibacterial properties gives it more uses than just trading.
Also there are rumors the true price of silver is being kept artificially low by Paper Trades which don't involve actual physical silver , and without those paper trades demand for physical silver would be close to ~$100 per ounce.

I have been trying to get through to him other perspectives on coding matters.
He seems to be the self proclaimed authority on the issue.
And a sticking point for me has been his repeated comments all over this board
saying pretty much to get a good coin project you need to do a million dollar ICO.
I beg to differ..

There is no NEED to have a paycheck for 1 million or a quarter million *in advance*

The dev of that ICO scam coin said he had completed 75% of the coding before posting his ICO .jpeg ANN topic.
SO.. he needed a hair under 1 million dollars usd worth of Bitcoin to complete the remaining 25% of work.
Although that in itself is funny.. what really gets me is..
He probably coded 75% of the work in 1 years time.. or less.
In reality 1 year later he could not even get 25% compete ..or anything substantial really.

Yet, he has had a little over 1 year to work on his code for BlockNET with Open Source help etc NOW
and..
He has done nothing but piss off his own supporters who asked about updates etc.
I watched the dev tell them ..coming soon etc etc.
And in 1 years time all he has managed to do is let his hosting expire on one of his sites.
I guess 1 million in cash does not go as far as it used to huh ?

I predicted he would do EXACTLY that far in advance.. NOTHING !
Google search "BlockNET Smear Campaign" then look at him crying.. bs'ing and spinning shit.. for cash money $$$
I was right and history + reality does not lie.
I called it far in advance and had asked the dev why he needed a million dollars in ICO Bitcoin money..

I'm with you on this, I've seen very great post warning users but people are greedy by nature, you can't change that! You have to let them burn themselves so they can learn on their own. No point wasting your time on explaining anything.

I'm personally just amazed at Larimer's ability to create intricate Rube Goldberg machines.  You have to sit there and stare at the wall for hours and hours to go through all the endless variables in your brain that can affect his systems...

...Then you have to get into all the economics of the system and how that's going to work out, or if it's "fair" with original entrants turning it into a pyramid scheme.  You end up trying to analyze something that's (borrowing the Anonymint phrase for criticising of Ethereum) unbounded complexity.  You just cannot look at a Larimer system without your brain exploding.

*Will read over the Steem stuff in a sec.  Anything Larimer related always has some type of crazy controversy to it.

Ok, for Steem, economics is basically the study of pump and dumps and rent seeking behavior, culminating in the end game of - if you aren't a slum lord, you aren't doing it right, and Dan likes to read economic-type books that spell out lessons such as this.  It's not surprising he tries to integrate tricks to fool the users since that's all economics is is fooling people into becoming your servants in rent seeking behavior.  It seems Larimer might be an evil genius.

It definitely wouldn't be surprising, in my opinion, if the FATC Act starts to push more people to buy from companies online using cryptos then they're more than likely going to start paying more attention to that, and that isn't necessarily something that I or a lot of other people want to see happening. The longer the feds can stay out of Bitcoin the better imo.

The Feds are coming after Bitcoin any way. I argue that Bitcoin was created by the elite because it enables digital tracking of everything.
