What is this website about at all. Ddos packages? And i dont see much content where ads could be placed. Im not even sure what the website is selling.

And the backlinks... didnt you only run a software that posted your video on hundred of video hosters to get the backlink?

Last question... why not selling it on flippa? If this is legit then you would surely get more money than in a specialized forum like this, that doesnt have to do with the topic, as far as i see.

there was a similar case of a minor guy that was insulting someone else when they were playing on counter strike and a received a complaint, and afterward he faced prison as well

Prison for an insult? Are you sure that you didnt miss something? I cant imagine that naming or insulting would possibly bring you into jail in the US. Even with hate speak, racist things or something. Nothing of that should be worth prison. Oo

i'm trying to find the source it happened 1-2 years ago

i can't find it for now, but there is this similar cases

Ah, these things. Its really dangerous to live in the US. It seems no one there recognizes irony. They should at least check if there is anything that supports the claim he planned something like that.

Im happy that i do not live their not seldom. Smiley

They say no news is good news, But i think in this case they are wrong...

I have no new info so far, though i didnt ask anykeywhy. I guess ill write anykeywhy an email now and ask if he has any news.
3784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Ahead to Nu worlds! (liquidity provision for fun and profit, 9% monthly return) on: June 19, 2015, 08:18:46 AM
how big is the backing of nubits by USD? 10%?

This is your fundamental issue.  NBT is not backed by reserve, it is not really 'backed' by anything because having a reserve is not useful in a decentralized system, it is only a liability.  Our 'reserve' is NSR, it allows us to separate the volatile part from the stable part.  If we want to increase NBT supply, destroy NSR and issue NBT; if we want to increase NBT demand, create NSR and burn NBT.  If NBT demand continually trends toward zero, then yes NSR price will continually drop.  If NBT demand continually increases, NSR price will continually increase.  Neither of these cases will happen, instead we will just have a functioning system that can operate a peg.

Now let's talk about expenses.  You're looking at 100% returns on liquidity provided at times when we have low liquidity.  That means we can talk real numbers:  about 70,000 NBT of liquidity on both sell and buy side combined is pretty average recently.  That means that in the first year of operation, the NSR marketcap will only be diluted by ~$70,000 (It is currently over $1M) by liquidity operations alone.  And that's just the first year, subsequent years are expected to drop in cost, possibly sharply.

Yes, i have read that some say nubits are backed by NSR. Though even if you say that... what will happen if the price of nubits fall considerably under 1USD? The whole idea of backing them with USD was to hold the price stable. When this breaks away then i can ensure you that a big part of users will lose confidence and sell. Pushing the price even further.

Its simply a core idea for nubits. Or lets say THE core idea for everyone that comes to nubits newly. If you break that you will have a real mess.

Wouldnt you say that the value of nsr mostly comes from nubits too? What will nsr be worth when nubits would crash?

So 35k USD are ensuring that the price of nubits isnt crashing? I found that there are 636,408 NBT in existance currently. That means 5.5% of NBT are backed by USD now. Sounds like a small enough amount to make it possible to break the 1$ price rule. I mean nubits are promoted as the first stable cryptocurrency. Breaking that promise would be devastating.

Im not sure how burning of nbt or nsr could help there. Price for them still would be made by the markets and im not sure that all nubit users or market participants would think nbt is now worth 10% more when 10% nbt in existance were burned. Especially when the 1$-rule would have been broken. Why are you sure about that?

So maybe i misunderstand what happens when someone provides liquidity. Probably you buy nsr and your funds are used to fund the projects. Then you get "dividends" in the form of nubits?

Regardless of that... you create 9% value each month. Thats what you pay out as dividend. But these profits arent backed. Its a bubble that is forming dont you think?

So how can you back these high dividend payments. Even the future plans dont look to me like they could turn out a 108% profit each year.
3785  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Swedish Authorities legally recognising a Proof of Existence document on: June 19, 2015, 08:00:12 AM
Thats fair enough , however Sweden does have a politician that ran on bitcoin only donations, he has a copy of the paper, and i have been in regular contact with him, i also interviewed him. Found here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzfcTwbSFQE

Hm... guess there are smart people in every government. Unfortunately they stand too often against too many conservative politicians that fear the future and try to play on the lower tones of feelings of their voters.

I hope you succeed in the long term. Though i think thats somewhat inevitable. Wink

3787  Other / Politics & Society / Re: McDonald’s Is Days From Opening Restaurant Run Entirely By Robots on: June 18, 2015, 09:13:05 PM
In 1971, when I was in high school, and making a $1.65 an hour, McDonald’s was considered a top notch job for teens that wanted to work, and could maintain decent grades at the sametime. Interestingly enough, when we were in school, and McDonald’s was open for business during the day, retirees who wanted to stay busy worked the shifts during school hours. During that same time in the history of the U.S., immigration was limited to those who could hold their own in this country, while high school students were taught a trade if they chose not to go to college or join the military.

Now fast forward to the “progressive” 21st century where foreigners that speak little or no English, head straight for the welfare and unemployment lines, and work in those jobs once held by high school students. They have no skills, they take money from our economy and ship it home to “their” countries (more than a few I’ve talked to have no interest in being U.S. citizens), and our education system has devalued a college education by telling everyone that they must go to college, which means that an AA or a BA really doesn’t mean much anymore to the point that employees with college degrees are only making 10.00 an hour. Now couple that with the losers that think they are entitled to 15.00 an hour for flipping burgers instead of gaining skills that justify a 15.00 an hour wage, along with liberals in political offices in cities such as Seattle and Los Angeles that force businesses to pay outrageous wages, and it does my heart good to see businesses, even businesses run by liberals push back and think outside the box to avoid paying 15.00 an hour for an ungrateful and unskilled loser that they hired.

Way to go Mickey D’s!

Odd part of the $15 per hour crowd is they complain they can’t affordrent and other expenses. Maybe the $15 crowd should quit smoking and buying smart phones. A pack of cigarettes costs as much as they make in an hour.

Machines are causing unemployment, but it will be a good thing. Human beings shouldn’t do that kind of soul killing and demeaning work. Humans should have free access to all the education they can use and we should build a bright future, get off this rock!

Odd part of the $15 per hour crowd is they complain they can’t affordrent and other expenses. Maybe the $15 crowd should quit smoking and buying smart phones. A pack of cigarettes costs as much as they make in an hour.

Im not sure thats the right way to attack them. Most probably they arent the bums you portrait them here. The working poor in the US are a growing problem. Full time work and still poor.

Im not sure why you think its correct to work fulltime for an amount of money that will leave you back with nothing at the end of the month. They have all right to complain.
3788  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: June 18, 2015, 08:50:12 PM
People with experience around here with Bitfinex , could you tell me what is this difference between Bitfinex & BTCJam exactly ? Last days I was asking about BTCJam and let's say I didn't hear pretty good things about it , one of them that if you get scammed .. you get scammed and there is nothing you can do about it . so not sure why they people for ID if they can't refund you eventually  Undecided

BTCJam lets you give your bitcoin to someone you don't know and you lose if they don't pay you back (with interest).
BitFinex holds your bitcoin and allows people you don't know ("swap takers") to borrow it in order to sell it, but only if those swap takers already have some bitcoin to pay for any loss they incur.
On BTCJam, you're trusting an unknown person.  On BitFinex, you're trusting BitFinex.

BTCJam doesn't offer any other service (except that you can be the one borrowing bitcoin instead of lending it).  BitFinex also offers exchange trading (turn your dollars into BTC or yout BTC into dollars - but to move dollars into or our of the service, you need to set up a financial connection) and margin trading (where your deposits are used as collateral to pay for losses you incur).

The biggest difference is that the funds they borrow cant be taken out of bitfinex since they only can be used to trade with them. So the risk is rather small. I heard with a good risk management that its possible to be relatively secure on btcjam too but trusting bitfinex might be easier.
3789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Local person Scammed and used my ATM :( on: June 18, 2015, 08:47:26 PM
(bolded by me)
If you really want to prevent this in the future, perhaps you can add a confirmation screen to your transaction process that asks the user to confirm that they are not doing the transaction on behalf of a third party, and if they say they are, display a detailed warning of this method of criminal activity so they understand the risks before continuing.
That's a really good idea. Two thumbs up!
Not only to prevent fraud but also to avoid potential trouble that comes with money laundering laws.

It IS a good idea. Though i think OP wont be able to change anything in the software. Though he might be able to push the provider of the ATM to bring out an update of the firmware/OS so that he can update his ATM.

Does the BTM manufacturer have a thread here where I might suggest this?

I dont know. I only remember of occassional groupbuys for ATMs but not of companies presenting their ATMs here. I guess OP should know more and can contact the producer of his ATM as well as other producers. Guess thats something he might do since the topic is clearly worrying him.
3790  Economy / Gambling / Re: Signalpush.com Binary Options - Legendary Auto Trader - 1071 $ profit on: June 18, 2015, 08:45:27 PM
So you sell a cashcow bringing in 7200$ each week for 100$ a month to others. Dont you think that doesnt make very much sense?

And it says 40 trades max. You have way more trades in your stats.

I know how attracting stories like youres can be, so im sure one or the other will still try it.

my profits are not 7200 $, that is my total ballance, my profits for this month is about 1000$
40 max trade is the ammount you can put in one trade, that means 40 $ regular and 80$ for martingale.
of course you can increase your trade size with a higher plan per month which is above 100$

clearly you have no ideea what you are talking about but that doesn't mean I am lying
If anything is unclear you can just ask instead of acussing and throwing words like "liar", "scammer" etc

I think you take me for another one. I never named you that way. I only know that trading doesnt work that way and i dont see how the software could decide so that its possible to make a constant profit.

It's funny how 7 out of 12 addresses on that transaction carry the tag:
"Warning! this bitcoin address contains transactions which may be double spends. You should be extremely careful when trusting any transactions to or from this address."

I am guessing it must be very tempting having that much hashing power in your hands. Roll Eyes

Arent doublespends automatically solved? Or does one have to check for these things too when receiving a transaction?

Till now i thought one transaction wins, and thats it.

i got a Double spend once. Locked all my funds for 84 Hours. Worst shit ever

Who locked it? Double spend only means you send two different transactions for the same coins. Normally only one transaction should win and being implemented in the blockchain. Who locked your account then? An exchanged?

And what should the warning above mean? Are double spent coins on the way through the normal blockchain?
3792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Ahead to Nu worlds! (liquidity provision for fun and profit, 9% monthly return) on: June 18, 2015, 08:03:42 PM
Thanks for your answers. I read through it and through the posts on the other forum.

So what i see is that the value of nubits is bound to the USD. And the community stands behind it. Its artificially bound to this value. So in case a real bad news happens and nubits price comes under pressure... how big is the backing of nubits by USD? 10%?

So if 10% sell their nubits and the backing cant be hold then the value isnt bound to the usd anymore. It would become an altcoin, or even worse in value because community might lose trust in a panic way since the value was not determined by trust in the currency, how it is with other altcoins. The idea would be broken and trust would not be established.

I read some suggest nubits are backed by nushares. I dont get how this could back them. They are only voting rights. Maybe rights to vote on where to invest value in order to create dividends to nushares. Right? But at the moment no value is created, so besides the artificial usd backing price, there would be no more value than any other altcoin.

So what i see now is an altcoin that does not create value. The only value comes from investments, though value is created, the 9% monthly, that is not backed at all. You know... after some months you have a huge amount of nubits that arent backed anymore. And i really dont see which investments nushares should do in order to create that value.

Even after i read all that, im not convinced that its not a pyramid scheme, since at the moment it simply looks like one. The value is created by creation of corresponding theoretical value. If too many would want to use this theoretical value then all could collapse very fast.

Am i wrong?

I read its backed 1/8... and nubits are an altcoin. No established companies using and holding it that would not be able to go out of the coin fast. The majority will be traders and people that are able to act fast. Which could mean very well, that in the event of something bad happening, the reserve will be eaten pretty fast. Showing that the given value is not there anymore, which leaves the value on a level of trust and belief. Which might mean for an idea that broke, that it will be at zero fast.

I think your third link pictures what i think. Benjamin meant that the constant creation of nubits as reward for the liquidity provision is the reason why nubits ultimately will turn to a ponzi. Because nubits and nushares will never be able to create 9% profit monthly back. The plans i read, about nubitmessage and an exchange, i really doubt that you will be able to create 9%*12= 108% annual return with them. Even though exchanges create money, the market is pretty saturated in my opinion and you would need a good marketshare. Even then... backing ALL dividends paid with that exchange sounds not posisble to me.

So these creations of value through the provision reward are not backed now and wont be backed most probably. So the fractional reserve will become prozentually smaller the more rewards are created in the form of nubits. And the risk of not being able to hold the value of nubits is rising very much.

Nushares dilute in price because new nushares are minted so that the price of nushares is dropping constantly?

Ah ok. I already took part in many petitions but i think chances here are zero. Governments are way too far away from that and you will not even get enough signatures so that any politician will take a look.

Its even in the bitcoin area special. On top its for a certain country only. I dont see any chance at all, sorry.

Im generally a coder though i did not do much with java yet. Does the escrow have to check the sourcecode? Really?  Shocked Anyone who is doing that would have to be prepared for a serious amount of work.

Besides, im no security expert and would most probably not know all possible problems.

3797  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can somebody (profitably) get into cloud mining for a low cost? on: June 18, 2015, 09:46:11 AM
At this point, I'm giving up on mining altogether. After all the hours of research that I have done, mining just seems to be an arms race of who can get the biggest and baddest hardware. It just doesn't seem sustainable in the long-term.

However, what I have been interested in is Bitcoin trading. It seems pretty easy and doesn't require you to invest a lot of money. I made a couple bucks today when the price of Bitcoin went to $252.

Trading is not as easy as it seems like. 220-240 circle has just been broken. Good Luck though Smiley

I'll have to do more research. I don't have much experience in investing but it seems like the price of Bitcoin is so volatile that its easy to buy low and sell high-ish. Anyway, trading seems a hell of a lot more reliable than mining.

Please dont get too confident. It really might happen to have luck on the start but its similar to gambling. Please only bet small amounts. And only when you learned to read the psyche of markets, then you will turn from gambling to trading.

I learned it the hard way, so be cautious.
3798  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: June 18, 2015, 09:43:18 AM
Well, my experience with Purse is now over.
They finally canceled my order since it did not ship for 3 days (3rd attempt, 10% discount), and I ordered it myself using Free Prime Same Day delivery I got for a one month free Prime membership.
If I would have used Purse Instant I would need to pay extra 7% tax while in my own order I did not have to pay that 7%.

How does this work? Isnt tax only the vat that you have to pay for importing goods coming form the US into your country?

Normally it should be the same. Though maybe amazon has a store in your country that contains your goods so that it can ship directly from there? But even then... if purse instant would order for you then amazon would ship from there too.

So i dont get why there should be a difference in tax.

BCX can confirm that 3-4 years ago no matter how bad the news was everyone believed that any news was good for Bitcoin. Going by that logic you should all support the little psycho because he's promoting Bitcoin. Times are changing I guess. This forum disgusts me now because all the new people are level headed and normal. lol

I think the reason is because every news about bitcoin WERE actually good news. There were no politicians or bankers that feared the impact of bitcoin because none of them realized how big this will become. So all the bitcoin nerds sat around and found their magical internet money mentioned in the news. GREAT... Wink
3800  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can somebody (profitably) get into cloud mining for a low cost? on: June 17, 2015, 08:09:50 PM
I invested 0.05 BTC in Genesis Mining in September. Purchased 10GH/s SHA 256 and 1 MH/s Scrypt.

By February Scrypt was dead and it was converted to 1GH/s as a courtesy, so that account had 11GH/s in total.

So far my payouts alltogether have been just over 0.04 BTC so it has taken from September until June to get to this point.

Ian

*lol* I think i did exactly the same. Bought the minimum for both chaintypes and checked out how it works because someone claimed its working so great. Of course i had the same experience and my doubts were confirmed.  Roll Eyes It became clear pretty fast that the initial investment wont come back.
