3782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 19, 2020, 02:41:43 AM
The coronavirus hit the global economy hard and this dire state of the economy has forced people to look for alternatives like using crypto currencies. Some people loss their job that's why they are selling online and using bitcoin for payment and investment. Also, in fear of transmitting covid-19 they prefer to pay online and looking for a cashless payment. This pandemic can accelerate the worldwide transition to digital payments while serving as a catalyst for the modernization of the financial industry.

3784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remembering the earily days of mining... on: August 19, 2020, 02:32:35 AM
I have seen mining places where hosting service is available. Mining truly generates heat, but with the technology growth these days the heat is been much reduced. Nowadays most of the mining farms were located on cool regions or else cooling systems were added to reduce the heat. Truly the heat beyond certain point causes damage to the brain.

and cheap electricty  Grin

but speak of bitcoin mining this will blow your mind and i hear about bitcoin just hit new ATH of Hashrate

Currently, the tool estimates that Bitcoin is using around seven gigawatts of electricity, equal to 0.21% of the world's supply. That is as much power as would be generated by seven Dungeness nuclear power plants at once. Over the course of a year, this equates to roughly the same power consumption as Switzerland.Jul 3, 2019 - BBC https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-48853230#:~:text=Currently%2C%20the%20tool%20estimates%20that,same%20power%20consumption%20as%20Switzerland.

i think we really need new Consensus about how bicoin been mined

3787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news on: August 18, 2020, 02:33:11 PM
i still remember when Hashrate is around 1 ExaHash couple year ago. but in my thought maybe some people want make profit in this early bitcoin boom. and if u remember there's lot of people join mining not just bitcoin when bitcoin boom at 2017. so i agreed with this guy opinion

Hash rate is a good indicator of the Bitcoin network's health. A high hash rate, when compared to a lower one, is preferable as it effectively means the network is more secure so it is either a good or bad news for everyone. But despite of that , it is not the only factor that we consider on investing in bitcoin. Bitcoins value is not just based on the hash rate indicator and prediction.
3788  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: August 18, 2020, 01:55:51 PM
~SNIP~
I share your concern regarding the safety of personal data.Lately, I have observed a very interesting situation when new projects in which I participated as a Bounty Hunter, to date show very good results, but at the same time no one asked me to provide my passport data and Cartesi can be cited as an example. And if you remember such projects as BCNEX, DOGEX, then in this case you had to provide KYC and at the same time these projects probably died and no one will be sure that his passport data is safe and sound.

yeah people like us bounty hunter for living its kinda dangerous right, when the project like you mention before died, and if you know not just the coin but there's some new exchange popped off right now and ask you before u trade and if u remember there some exchange even the bigger too got hacked that what i consider

3790  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why has not any government stopped Bitcoin? on: August 18, 2020, 01:12:31 PM
One think comes to my mind is Bitcoin is unstoppable and government just scared because so many transcation point to the illegal things such a drug dealer and dark web things and based this
there's some transaction about funding terrorism. in my country it self there's some rule about it like its prohibited use bitcoin for buying anything. so u can still use bitcoin but u can't spend it. maybe some country will implemented this rather ban it.

3793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With this recent surge in BTC, is it possible to have all time high this year? on: August 15, 2020, 12:42:17 PM
Despite the pandemic and the current situation throughout the world, BTC keeps on surging upward in price. This might not be far from the upcoming halving happening in the next 13 days. If BTC can recover like this from $3800 and now trading above $9000, it is likely to speculate that we might have another all-time high this year?

halving in the next 13 days Huh

the bitcoin will reach the ATH in 2021 i think (*my thought)

the price up right now i called the first wave,  so from now on its better to save some bitcoin  Grin Cool

3794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: August 15, 2020, 12:14:42 PM
I'm looking for the easiest way to make old people understand Bitcoin more thoroughly. I want to let the elderly know about the "Bitcoin revolution", yet I find it quite challenging to explain it to them in a way they can understand how it all works. There are some wallets that have a "user-friendly" interface, but even the basics of sending/receiving Bitcoin can have a steep learning curve for the older people. A Bitcoin wallet with built-in accessibility features, could help even elder people with vision or hearing problems to use the pioneer cryptocurrency in their daily lives.

If you happen to know of a way to make old people understand Bitcoin easily, please let me know. Any suggestions or recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

+1 let me tell you something dude your thread always give me a good vibes  Grin Grin

To make old people to understand what is bitcoin never be a challenge, first you will ensure they paid attention to your information.
*. First, let them know the advantages of bitcoin.
*. Let your advantages be greater than disadvantages.
*.make a list of expensive properties you have acquired through bitcoin.
*. Let them know that bitcoin is decentralized, and government or anybody has no right to control it.
* make them to understand the concept that many people who are rich is into it and it's the best place to invest or save money so that your money will not lost values.

Also a good answer

like i was say on your previous thread, its kind of challenging to make old people know about bitcoin and other crpyto asset.
the e-wallet with fiat itself not all the people know how to use it, how about the bitcoin?

1. first thing first tell them about bitcoin and their value of it
2. tell about bitcoin doesn't have central and not controlled by any government so they no need to worry if anything goes wrong
3. last but not least tell them if u can make real money with it and buy some stuff of it
4. and the last i think is very needed to create some tool to make easy like card with 1 tap to pay or something like that

and what next topic will you created dude  Cool

3797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exactly 10 years ago Someone did a transfer of 184M BTC on: August 14, 2020, 10:25:23 AM
This did happen and was resolved in less than 5 hours ! There are a whole host of core developers who help maintain the bitcoin code

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/graphs/contributors

I’m 99.9999% sure there are no more bugs in the code , so no individual can exploit this. As far as who can exploit bitcoin price etc , that is a very different story  Smiley

yeah im agree

so if there any bug right now maybe, a need a couple minute to resolve the bug

Sybil Attack right now i can say impossible for individual, maybe for the corporation with big miner hardware like antminer can do but also there is counter of it

3799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin so unstable? on: August 14, 2020, 10:15:22 AM
There's lot of factor i think

one of it
I think the bitcoin price is unstable because everyone can mine it
when everyone can mine the coin, one person or corporate can dumped it at any time  Undecided that my thought
