3781  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashnet and cex.io on: May 18, 2015, 01:04:47 AM
cex.io is known for their high fees which is a let down for most of us. roi there will be very difficult and will cost you loads of patience.
3782  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you do with your btc? on: May 17, 2015, 06:53:42 PM
i decided to keep holding my coins a bit longer. it always feel better to spend coins when their value has gone up. at this point there is not much that i need. so holding is the best option.
3783  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: May 17, 2015, 06:48:14 PM
What do you think? I think I might be close. I'm guessing $10,000 per bitcoin by then.

wow! did you really have that many bitcoins?
i hope that bitcoin would be well known by 2020 for it to happen

hell no. that dude is just talking trash. people who own a lot are quiet about their holdings. people who don't have much are loud while they don't have much. dreamers..
3784  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar collapse in 2015? (2) on: May 17, 2015, 06:44:00 PM
if we really did a trigger on the us dollar, it hits us all.

it hits poor folks even harder, and in general that means everything come to a halt similar to 2008. I dont think they`ll let it fail, I mean technically speaking the value will always fail for what its worth, but they`ll just keep getting aid by other international countries bail out.

of course they won't let the us dollar fall. they will save it no matter what. some people like to see it collapse, these people are beyond insane. it will impact us all.
3785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price movement on: May 17, 2015, 10:53:17 AM
A lot of the price right now is controlled by people trading every few seconds just to gain a little more.

yep. but you can't blame them. there is so much profit to be made if you know how to trade. whales will continue with this for ever. same with stocks. manipulation will never end.
3786  Economy / Economics / Re: 2014 Poll: How many bitcoins do you own? on: May 17, 2015, 10:48:48 AM
I am one of the poor on the forum and I have less than 10  Undecided

most people here don't even have 0.2 bitcoin and you say with 10 bitcoins you're poor? i seriously doubt you are serious. keep trolling.
3787  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin should outperform any investment long term wise on: May 17, 2015, 10:43:43 AM
But bitcoin has inflation regardless whether fiat pours into it or not.
There cannot be a mining boom, true, so if the price rises then the number of bitcoin being made will not increase, I agree that that is a good thing.

But even when the price goes down, like now with Bitcoin and Oil etc, other commodities can reduce the amount being mined to compensate, Bitcoin cannot.
So what I am saying is, in a rising market it is a good thing, but in a falling market it is a bad thing.  Unfortunately we are in the latter.  Block halving will be good though, unless you are a miner!

block halving will change the demand just for a short period of time. 6 months or 1 year after the halving we will be in the same situation as we were before the halving. that's normal. block halving or not, there has to be a constant demand as bitcoin creates an equal amount of coins every day.
3788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 17, 2015, 02:27:44 AM
I honestly don't think bitcoin will ever go high as it did. I could be wrong but it just doesn't seem likely.

it will eventually, but not as fast as some people are hoping. it requires a lot patience. i think within 5 years it might happen. long term looks good. short term not so much.
3789  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't create "Free Bitcoin" posts here. on: May 17, 2015, 02:04:38 AM
i don't think they will follow the details given in this thread. especially as it is most likely the first post when asking about free bitcoins. perhaps when creating a new account you will get a pm from the system with most important forum rules. that might help.
3790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Market Confirmed, Next Growth Phase Incoming on: May 16, 2015, 04:42:42 PM
bull market confirmed? how so? we don't even manage to maintain a price advance for so many times. it gets dumped to the well known $220 - $230 level each time.
3791  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 04:39:40 PM
Let's break 250$ first...

this is the best post in the entire thread. stop talking about $1000 while it is not going over $300 and probably won't go over $300 this whole year.
3792  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most Secure bitcoin wallet ? on: May 16, 2015, 10:28:16 AM
Stick with Bitcoin core it's probably the best one out there as it supports the network and is constantly being worked on by very committed developers

the only con about bitcoin core is that the wallet launch takes a few minutes. can't seem to get it to open faster. beside that for pc bitcoin core is the best option.
3793  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Did bitcoin remained at 200 USD on: May 16, 2015, 10:22:17 AM
It is thanks to Asia (Chinese farms/traders etc stable-200 dollar) maybe?
Edit: https://i.imgur.com/7PJujed.jpg

asia plays probably the biggest role here. it's because of them that the difficulty has seen a massive rise while you would think with a significant lower price the difficulty would plummet hard.
3794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: May 16, 2015, 10:19:03 AM
I just mine here and there. A little trading of altcoins occasionally as well.

you're actually mining or just "cloud mining" ? i hope the first as cloud mining in general is having a bad name. you just can't know which cloud company is legit and which are not.
3795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Times identifies Nick Szabo as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 16, 2015, 10:10:49 AM
the overwhelming evidence that satoshi is british ( british spellings and grammer, plus british newspaper reference in genesis) always gets ignored when they try to convince people that satoshi is american.....

That's not really evidence. How do you know it's not just what he wants you to believe? If I was going to try conceal my identity I would try throw people off using different spellings or grammar or logging in at a different timezone etc and I'm not even half as smart as satoshi.

i agree. usually franky1 writes his posts very much to the point with great accuracy. i would expect him to have a different view on this and have a certain distance from articles. spelling and grammar are no indication of him being british.
3796  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Adding to the number of dedicated nodes. on: May 15, 2015, 11:07:07 PM
If you really did. Dont mind posting a donation address here. I'm sure there will be many Bitcoiners that will donate some Bitcoin to you. Bitcoiner are very kind because.. this is internet! I would really like to see you putting up a node for Bitcoin - it will be even better if you put up nodes!

I would be surprised if you could get anywhere near what it costs for the 15 VM's in donations.  I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see it being a huge draw of people donating.

if people donate 0.01btc in total it will be a massive achievement. but beside that, we don't know if he really is running that many nodes. saying you do is not enough.
3797  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Zero Fee 0% Bitcoin Exchange on: May 15, 2015, 11:01:52 PM
If there were an exchange that had zero fees they could not make any money.  Undecided I guess they could add an option for donations, but most likely it wouldn't keep them afloat.

chinese exchanges are very large. their earnings are solid enough to give their users the ability to trade without fees. they receive a lot cashout and deposits which is giving them enough income.
3798  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your 'mid term' strategy? (sentiment analysis) on: May 15, 2015, 10:56:42 PM
Don't care about day to day price any more. It's all down to whales, bots and whims.

I am far more interested in what's going on in the wider space and that's becoming ever more epic. I went into it with a multi year mindset and as the decade carries on it's going to get properly exciting.

last weeks volumes were too low to focus on just a day. but on exchanges with zero fee it is possible to make decent profits every day. but your long term way of thinking is better suited for most people.
3799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you mine it or buy it? on: May 15, 2015, 10:42:36 AM
I bought worth $5 BTC and invested it. After days goes by I already have now $100 but it's hard to earn it.
would you care to share what did you invest your $5 worth of bitcoin in and also how long did it take you to reach $100 ?

most likely altcoin "investments". these can explode in price from time to time. if not, then i also want to know how you made $100 with only 5 bucks.
