3781  Other / Meta / Re: Reduced forum activity on: September 19, 2020, 03:50:28 PM
I thought that it's always better to use the number of online members in the forum rather than seeing the post count, new topics, new members, etc. Maybe that could form a better perspective on it. Maybe a lot of people as well have been focusing on other things that is necessary for them to continue on living especially with the economy today and just read. When I'm AFK and on my mobile phone, I mostly read topics but too lazy to type on my phone because I'm slower compared to keyboard typing. Maybe it's just me, lol.

It's also possible that since you have been more exposed to the forum (spending more time on the net) that you think that the activity lessened but in reality, you just noticed it more but it's still the same.

Maybe tranthidung could provide also the members online or something. For additional data and variable. Shocked

I would have thought that people would have been interested in ways to earn money online, and that is why I started my domaining thread in serious discussion.
It's definitely the aim of people now but what I think what hinders them is themselves. they want it fast or just too lazy to do it and doesn't believe much that you could earn money online.
3782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum fees are crazy... on: September 19, 2020, 01:35:28 AM
You know that automatically computed, right? With the busyness of The network transacting different tokens at the same time. Some of DEX’s Also depositing or probably lending their assets adds to the network transactions. We have reached a higher transaction recently according to this article [1]

It also states in the article that it’s part of the decentralized financing craze. Recently, I have seen posts about Uniswap Receiving their tokens that are equivalent to a large amount of money.

Don’t worry, OP. The transaction fee would decrease as the network becomes less busy. If you need the transaction right away, then you have no other choice, but if you can wait, I think saving a few bucks would be great.

3783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100x, 1000x Pump of New, Fresh Altcoins on: September 19, 2020, 12:42:22 AM
There are only selected cryptocurrencies That have real value and will multiply by 100X or 1000X by investors Believing in the value of it. It’s not as easy as looking at new crypto and investing your money into it. You need to have checked the background behind it and how the developers and the whole project will do.

Usually, if it’s like any other cryptocurrency goals and roadmaps, it’s just a copy-paste, and the coin would likely be dead soon. If you struck excellent crypto, then good for you, but most of the time, it's just another shit coin.
3784  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow Options ? on: September 18, 2020, 01:36:59 PM
You could check out this link here as well.

Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely!

An additional reference to you, OP. It has fees, links, PGP keys, etc. I’m not sure how updated it is, but at least you could try to PM some of them if they are available or something.
3785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNISWAP (UNI) is driving me CRAZY!! on: September 18, 2020, 09:06:36 AM
I never had the chance to participate in anything like that. What an excellent opportunity for the ones that have joined, especially YOU, OP. 2 million dollars is a lot, and I hope you make sure you don't lose it all and make a wise decision on it. It's not a small amount, and most people would spend it all at once.

I hope you could liquidate that in the market. I have seen many posts regarding their holdings of UNI, and they have enormous stacks as well. (not as large as yours, though).

Congrats!
3786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $1000 on: September 18, 2020, 03:29:53 AM
I have updated the OP and the second post with a summarized table for the balances that were added. This is to take advantage of the compounding interest that would be beneficial if you continue to profit.

Great profits from past days. Hopefully it continues.

We could share all of your trades automatically, if you're interested? People could even subscribe and auto-trade your trading strategy.
What do you mean share? Like in Telegram groups or something? I'm not interested right now with that.

3787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Massive AIRDROP Going On on: September 18, 2020, 01:49:39 AM
I found this out with one of the groups that I'm in and they did say that you need to have used it before September 1 to be eligible? Like linking a wallet or something. Anyways, just like suchmoon said, it's just best to DYOR instead of PM-ing the OP.

@OP - It's best to just post on how you would explain it instead of using PM.
3788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to you Habit!!! on: September 17, 2020, 08:52:40 AM
What gamblers should know that if they get addicted, it's not only them that is affected, but everyone around them. When it's all about financial stuff, it's going to be affecting everyone and it would affect your health, relationships, responsibilities, etc. I think you should help him in a way that you can and not telling him that he is cursed.

Great way dodging that "gambling" bullet that you fired, OP. Lol  Grin

3789  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid economic impact - How can Bitcoin help to boost global economy? on: September 17, 2020, 07:14:50 AM
If you think about it, we all know Bitcoin can be considered as another investment, and this factor affects global economic investments. As more people understand what Bitcoin could do, this investment shift could be economically sound by boosting other assets. This could lead as a hedge against inflation (sorry OP, it's not guaranteed, but it's a part of how Bitcoin could help.

It also affects global trade, making it easy to pay from Asia to America. It could improve the state of relationships between people, and maybe the government will follow this.

As long as there is a positive impact on the use of Bitcoin, it could help improve and boost the economy.

If the ECONOMY is equal to the PEOPLE (ECONOMY = PEOPLE), then Bitcoin is boosting the ECONOMY with all its features and application towards the world.
3790  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: September 17, 2020, 06:26:24 AM
I believe it's a possibility, especially when it's confirmed. Once the trials have been passed, all the experiments are done, and the WHO declaring it safe and secure, all the governments would come together and purchase that vaccine. With that in mind, they need liquidity and turn their assets into cash. It will cause a crash once they liquidate their holdings for the buying of the vaccine. It's the same for the people. People need money in order to buy the vaccine, and they would liquidate their assets as well. They are looking forward to that crash and if that would happen it's a discount for Bitcoin, and if you follow the advice of Kiyosaki, buy Gold as well.

The economic effects are what I'm worried about. With that kind of debt, all around the world, what would happen to the people?
3791  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Two DeFi project clone each other. on: September 17, 2020, 05:23:14 AM
They probably have a template for these types of things, and they are ready just to paste the content on a template of a website that's appealing and launch it. It seems silly, but I still think this type of scheme has victimized people. Good catch op!
3792  Other / Meta / Re: Understanding Bitcointalk.org Top Boards on: September 17, 2020, 02:58:03 AM
Thanks. Your post reminds me that rules on bumping topics changed because of massive abuses in altcoin-related boards.
I forgot about that but I almost got all the listed boards except for Tokens, lol. It's a significant improvement for the listed boards, at least something has been done.
3793  Other / Meta / Re: Understanding Bitcointalk.org Top Boards on: September 17, 2020, 02:46:46 AM
I think no one is disagreeing with you because it's true. Most of the time, people who start their projects post in the announcements and when you start anything that is cryptocurrency and different from Bitcoin, it would be considered already an altcoin. It's not that surprising if you check the Recent Unread Topics at the top of the site. A majority from my list are from Altcoins:
  • Bounties (Altcoins)
  • Announcements (Altcoins)
  • Mining (Altcoins)

3794  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Interviews] with Bitcointalk members on: September 16, 2020, 09:28:05 AM
Thanks for the opportunity zasad@! Awesome initiative. I feel like I'm in a news TV show being interviewed, lol.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
- It was around late 2016 when I started to read things about Bitcoin. Being in a third-world country, it was probably not impressive for the majority during the early times. However, I believe that if I have encountered it earlier, I would still be interested in it as well because of what it offers for the world.

I became interested in cryptocurrencies because of what it offers to the world. Imagine sending money quickly from Asia to America with just a click. I was amazed already. Additionally, stumbling upon Bitcointalk while researching about Bitcoin is a blessing already.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
- Around the time, I discovered it as well, 2016. I was still a student back then, and I remember asking my sister for money to buy a particular service in BTCT. It was well spent and successful. If I had a job back then, I would have bought more. That is what we all say, right? Lol.

3. How did you get on the forum?
- I stumbled upon the forum from another forum. There is a board there with posts for referrals, and I saw something related to cryptocurrencies. I researched first what that is and what I could do with it. The best reference that I stumbled upon is Bitcointalk.

4.1 What prevents mass adoption of cryptocurrencies?
- Lack of knowledge of cryptocurrencies and the first impression “it’s used for scams” by people who spread negative news around crypto.

4.2 How do you think mass advertising of gambling projects has a positive effect on the development of the forum or harms the community?
- For the forum, it is a positive effect in profit way, I guess. A lot of ads are being shown in the forum that is related to gambling. They bid for it. If you are talking about the members, there might be some people who are addicted to gambling. They can be trying to stay away from it and get tempted from these ads. I hope not.

4.3 How do you consider whether 2-3 years of experience in cryptocurrency is enough to successfully invest or does an investor need to receive special education?
- Receive special education in cryptocurrencies? If you are probably going to be a developer, probably yes, but if not, no need. There are a lot of successful people who raw experience and possibly did not undergo a “special education.” There are a lot of references in which one person can study anything related to crypto, one of which is BTCT.

5.  What do you think of the current Merit system and signature campaigns?  Do they harm the forum?
- I like the Merit System and the signature campaign. I do not know why you are connecting it since it is both different things. One is for the forum; one is for the members. In general, I do not believe it harms the forum.

For the merit system, it improved the total quality. It prevented account abusers from creating accounts and ranking up just by posting quickly. It is up to the actual newbies on how they could receive merit. They could do that by contributing essential information to the forum.

For the signature campaign, it increases the activity of members and the forum. If the signature campaign manager is restricting spammers, it is a positive thing.

6. The most useful forum topic? Most helpful users?
- I listed some of the topics that I have on my watchlist. I included it in my watchlist because I believe that it might be helpful to have easy access to these topics about what I could be currently doing at the moment. Maybe a post by a newbie asking questions related to this stuff, I will link these to them, etc. Everyone is helpful Wink

7. 3 things you would implement on the forum?
- It depends on what the forum needs, and right now, I believe everything is okay.

8. Do you trade on exchanges or invest in projects?
- Yes, I trade 24/7 with Gunbot. For the investment of projects, not really. The last time I tried investing in one, I lost money. It’s better to invest in tools like Gunbot to help you with trading.

9. Tell a story about your big profit or big loss?
- Recently, I managed to get my balance of $1800 to $3000 and withdrawn it. For my most significant loss, I got liquidated many times. I would not say how much anymore. Lol.

10. What do you think about the DEFI ecosystem?
- I think it is another hype that is focused on fundraising again, just like ICO and IEO. I have not dealt with it and researched it.

11. Is your anonymity a vital necessity or precaution?
- It is a vital necessity to be preserved, but sometimes you must do KYC, and you cannot prevent that if you want to use a certain service.

12. The last cryptocurrency book you read?
- I have not had the time to read any crypto-related books but mostly trading books. My recent one is Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline, and a Winning Attitude by Mark Douglas

13. Advise 3 cryptocurrencies/tokens for investment in the next 1-2 years?
- Gunthy Token, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.

14. How much will Bitcoin cost at the end of 2020?
- $18000 hopefully. We could all just hope.

15. P.S.
- Trade 24/7 with Gunbot. Anyone interested in it can PM me. Cheesy

Updated First post

As of September 16, 2020, these are my current positions shown in Gunbot GUI

USDT-VET

-121.02% ROE
Leverage 20x

USDT-ADA

-73.66%
Leverage 25x

This would be DCA'd soon once it reached a certain point automatically and the position is far away from the liquidation price. Gunbot is controlling the amount of invested in the certain pair and is considering all the pairs that you have included.
3796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gate.IO scam??? Twitter Investigation on: September 15, 2020, 11:34:17 PM
In things like this, I believe that first-hand experience would be an excellent opportunity to see if it is legit or not, but knowing that the risk is there and might get your capital if you continue to register there. It’s up to the person to continue or not but let’s just wait for more evidence if it’s true. What I am currently interested in gate.io is about their response. Hopefully, they would come out with a statement or something with their accusations.
3797  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 15, 2020, 10:47:58 PM
What do you mean not good? Is it because it’s not yet widely accepted? Most of the time, you could probably find a way to convert your bitcoin into USD so that you could pay your bills.

If you are talking about passive income is you should do it on your own because it’s not going to be handed out for free, and generating that would mean having a business, trading crypto, stock dividends, etc. I think what you are talking about is another stream of income.
3798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP FIVE SECRETS OF MAKING IT BIG IN BETTING WORLD on: September 15, 2020, 02:37:03 PM
Most of the things listed by OP is not entirely a secret. It's a basic understanding of what you should do "in ideal situations," and most of the time, people are not doing that. I think discipline should be the first one to master.

This is not just applicable to the betting world. It could also be in trading. Imagine using it as a trading principle in your daily trading life
  • Portfolio is your Business - Better see green all the time and taking care of your capital
  • Getting rekt is not the end of the world, do better in your trading strategy
  • Be disciplined with your trades - even better with a Trading Bot
  • Have knowledge on trading and stick to it
3799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $1000 on: September 15, 2020, 06:54:54 AM
1. May I ask what your target profit is here?
I'm planning to make it until I don't get rekt. I'm thinking of it as a compounding balance, and every profit is reinvested. As long as I can.

2. Are you planning to set up a pool for community trading too?
I would want to but probably not right away. I want to be sure that funds are safe as well. It's going to be quite tricky. Trading Futures is risky, and you could get liquidated.

3. Will you be sticking to Binance for this particular trading challenge?
Yes. I would be sticking to Binance Futures for the foreseeable "future" (get it? Lol)

A couple of months back, I saw a trader's story (not here) turn it's $1,000 into $100,000 in 3 months, if I remember correctly, from playing in crypto and in stocks. It could be true of just made up because the strategy and the account/s wasn't made public.
That's a fantastic story, though. I hope that could happen to me. Let's see my progress in the future.

@crwth I've always considered gunboat but never managed to work out how reliable it was for a good trading strategy. Licences seem quite cheap though but even the best trading strategy can liquidate everything in futures trading with a big crash(l (normally because ethe exchange can't process stuff in time). Are you able to set a risk tolerance so it only trades 25% of funds at a max of 25x for example?
It's a good investment, especially if you have a trading strategy that you want to automate. With all the various indicators and capabilities of Gunbot, it can surely accommodate whatever you need when it comes to trading. The community is open to suggestions as well if you need a specific indicator or feature that would improve trading.

You could set 25% of your capital as your TRADING_LIMIT. So for every trade, it would use 25%. For the leverage side, it's on the exchange side, so you set it manually. For other exchanges like Bitmex, you would include Leverage as a function. Almost everything can be automated like the addition of pairs with a specific volume etc. It can be done. I would be happy to assist you if ever you are interested.
3800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 14, 2020, 10:41:26 PM
Wow so it isn't a joke right? So even spider could be used for a bets. But personally I don't want bet in a fight between animal or even insects it's very sad to see Sad
We Humans are quite interesting, you know? Anything that involves randomness or potential profit is going to be interesting in the eyes of humans, IMO. Would you rather bet on a fight between human to human? Just like UFC?

Nowadays this is a very rare form of business since most of time they get arrested and fighting dog just dies Sad
It is illegal, right? The dogfighting? You know that’s why it’s rare? Lol. Anyways, i hope they don’t just forget the dog and leave it as is.
