382  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Price Volatility alone is not a Measure of Risk. on: April 05, 2018, 09:51:57 PM
Id merit you if i had available. Your points are very good, and pretty much my thoughts on the matter.
I did not get in crypto to get rich in a month, but over many years  Grin If it does not recover and go to new ath it is still ok, the risk/reward for holding is for me very good.
383  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Bitmain: Rules sucks on: April 05, 2018, 09:47:39 PM
The customer service you were provided stinks monopoly. Bitmain is so big they just dont care maybe?
I would say that your problem is reason enough to not buy anything from them! What if a device is defect, will they then just dont care and consider it your loss?

Thank you for the warning, i hope enough people read it to make an impact!
384  Other / Serious discussion / Re: KYC Safe or Threat on: April 05, 2018, 09:44:42 PM
I agree with the opinion that it is dangerous. Not everyone knows how to save personal data in a responsible manner, unfortunately.
but on the account of money laundering ... it seems to me that such a sort of people will not stop by KYC

KYC is needed because of regulations. But really it wont stop the criminals. It is so easy to just get a stolen ID for them and use that.
And for us it is a security risk. So KYC is pointless and just gives us risk. Maybe for bounties to avoid someone having multiple account is where it could be useful.
Or like bittrex, which demands a selfie with todays date and bittrex written. Then at least the risk of stolen ID is reduced by alot.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Primestar: Create movies and TV shows with stars on blockchain on: April 05, 2018, 05:27:55 PM
My impression.. Stay far away!

The manager have gone into a very high amount of other ann threads to promote this project, which is sneaky behaviour. I will report him and hope this thread gets removed and project banned from bitcointalk!

I hope is not the answer to my question... Cheesy
I'm allreay using this web-wallet. I'l rephrase it:  I just wana know where I can see the staking forecast.

In the qt wallet there is a beta for it. But i think it is about 1200 coins for daily POS, so every 3 day probably on average Smiley
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: April 05, 2018, 11:04:52 AM
Cant really blame Verge for a scam they could do nothing about.
There are scam attempts all the time in crypto, if the devs should focus on that they would use way to much time on meaningless warnings.

If a developer were giving out compensation it would obviously not be first come first serve, that would just cause more fury in the community. Which leads us to you having time to check that it is legit.
Also a dev would never ask for something sendt to them, they could just check block explorer.
388  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Quiz Merit Reward on: April 05, 2018, 10:49:18 AM
The OP is a merit beggar. Merit farming seems to be the purpose of this exercise.

That is exactly what i thought. High ranking members making threads like this have gotten a lot of merit.
But i gotta hand it to you, it is a well performed attempt on getting some merit! And actualy somewhat usefull, i like theese threads Smiley
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Aerium [AERM] POW | POS | HIGH APR | LOW SUPPLY | LOW PREMINE | GPU MINING on: April 05, 2018, 10:44:55 AM
hopefully this coin give us more money.  Smiley

Yet another bot. Even commented on a project from 2014 asking when it will begin..
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🐟🐟Fishcoin - A Data Ecosystem For the Global Seafood Industry🐟🐟 on: April 05, 2018, 05:13:01 AM
Fishcoin ? really ? I don't want to sound like a fudder but do we really need a coin for something like this ? How much do you want to raise for this ICO ?

If you just look at the name i see your issue, but i would ask you to read first post before commenting?
There is clearly a need for a blockchain for the fish industri Smiley

The softcap will be 20k eth.
The hardcap will be 60k eth

Maybe you need to use a new name for your project, I don't think people are going to take you seriously.
I like the name of the project, it simply reflects the essence of the project, I cann't think of a more interesting name.

They could make a sophisticated name, but remember they are targeting small local fishermen all over the world.
Making it simple and understandable is more important than a fancy name then Smiley

Why would small local fishermen use this coin ? Like for exemple a fisherman in Thailand, I don't think they have internet connection or know what the blockchain is.

It will take time off course buy do not underestimate the word of mouth as we say in Norway. If fisherman one from Thailand hears his mate got free fill up on his mobile phone subscribtion for submitting what he cought on a app or the system they implement he will want to try it as well. And then he tips another mate and it just grows exponentialy!

That what showed me they really thought about how to get the small fishermen to use it, give a reward they get fast and really want Smiley

392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin—New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid—PrivateSend—LUXNodes—Live on Cryptopia on: April 05, 2018, 05:07:02 AM
So from block 225000 everything is normal again? I have the wallet 4.3, I do not have to update to the bug fixed version if everything works or? the stakes will not be faster?

You don't have to do anything if you are using wallet 4.3

PoS will increase from a reward of 0.6 LUX to 0.8 LUX

PoW (Miners) will now get 8 LUX coins instead of 10 LUX coins so it will be less profitable for them and many will stop mining LUX coins altogether. This will then means that the 8 LUX coins will be shared among less miners so they will get around the same as before, just that there will be less of them. I believe that this will make the network less stable but the devs don't seem to care so we will wait and see.

MasterNodes (MN) are very similar to staking but require a huge investment of 16120 LUX coins. These will get the 2 coins taken away from the miners and will mean they earn about 10 times what they currently do.

I think you will need around 1500 LUX coins staking in your wallet to get an average of 1 PoS reward per day.

Current reward for masternode makes the roi very bad even with low number of masternodes so something had to be done. And yes we will get 20% for our mining after hard fork (date not ready), but a increase in price by 22% ish and we have the same profit so really dont matter that much. Price is more important and more masternodes can help with that.

Also now you can get as low as 1/200th masternode, which i just got yesterday from the community member trying to make a small business out of it. I was very sceptic but ended up going for it and giving my mate the 10 lux he were missing to get in for 0,5 share as well. It should be profitable without scam for graslo, and he is very active with good support on discord. Always a risk off course, do your own risk analyses.
393  Other / Meta / Re: IGNORE LIST 2018 on: April 04, 2018, 01:14:12 PM

What do you mean by you couldn't read my post  Cry does it means I'm in your ignored list or my post are just heavily formatted because like what you said that,

That's just my English humour - I've no reason to ignore your posts. If you are using heavy formatting, then I haven't noticed the posts (yet). Smiley

You shouldn't call me Sir Jet, as I'm not a baronet in real life,

Could i call you Sir Jet, the Stag named Cash Domain?
Sounded funny to me, but english is not my native language and im tired Tongue
394  Other / Meta / Re: 14 merit bonus for quality users [Jr to Sr. Member] on: April 04, 2018, 01:08:22 PM
I think you skipped me? Or maybe i just was inbetween, not deserving neutral trust and at the same time not worthy of merit.
Just felt a little like a forgotten sheep in the flock  Cheesy Tongue
As I stated, because I ran through a number of pages at once in a chunk, users that were deserving of neither merit nor feedback were simply ignored. It triples or perhaps quadruples the amount of time to write feedback for every user and when I'm doing them in large chunks like that I simply can't be bothered.

The bulk of it would probably go along the lines of, "mostly good but some posts were in pointless threads/were one-liners/were unnecessary"

Oh sorry, i thought i read everything here before posting that comment but obviously missed out that part.
I can see why you would want to keep it to a minimum with so many users posts to go through Smiley
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin—New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid—PrivateSend—LUXNodes—Live on Cryptopia on: April 04, 2018, 01:05:19 PM
I applied to the technical support of the exchange two months ago, sent out screenshots. After 1.5 months received an answer that they had problems, but now everything is in order. At the time of circulation, there was more than 5 LUX, they returned only 1 LUX. Listen to this. these are elementary things, look at the transactions with the explorer on the wallet, and compare them with the server of the exchange. Nobody wants to do this, or deliberately cheats.

I dont see a exchange with a trading volume of 13 million USD stealing 4-5 LUX as realistic.
Some technical issue maybe, but they should be able to sort it out. Probably need to open a new ticket though which aint fun with the current queue.

Also, it looks like you are mining directly to exchange,.That is against "every" exchanges rules.
396  Other / Meta / Re: ICO bumping Services need to be Stopped!!! on: April 04, 2018, 11:40:27 AM
I would support newbie and jr. member accounts posting does not bump up the threads.
So they can post as before, but for the thread to be bumped a member or above needs to post.

This way normal users with newbie/Jr. member wont suffer but the scammers will.
397  Other / Meta / Re: 14 merit bonus for quality users [Jr to Sr. Member] on: April 04, 2018, 10:35:33 AM
This is a really good initiative Smiley
I will risk it, maybe the previous 20 are not my best but if il end up getting input on how to improve instead of merit that is a win for me aswell Smiley

I think you skipped me? Or maybe i just was inbetween, not deserving neutral trust and at the same time not worthy of merit.
Just felt a little like a forgotten sheep in the flock  Cheesy Tongue
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Aerium [AERM] POW | POS | HIGH APR | LOW SUPPLY | LOW PREMINE | GPU MINING on: April 04, 2018, 10:26:59 AM
Where have we seen new investors coming? I hope youre right!

He is a bot. They are everywhere! Spamming random comments all over the places.
You can often see it as their comments are newbie/Jr. member and the post itself does not say anything about the topic just general stuff that could fit in most places.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin—New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid—PrivateSend—LUXNodes—Live on Cryptopia on: April 04, 2018, 10:25:10 AM
Guys we believe in you! Good luck to you! The wallet will work, waiting for 225,000 units.  Wink

Sorry I must have missed this, what is happening to the payout structure after block 225,000?

Lots of great news around Lux lately.  Devs are grinding hard and killing it, new wallet has been working great.  The project is unique and looking great!  Keep up the good work!

There are NO payment structure changes at block 225000!
Important: All users and pools will need to upgrade to 4.3 by block height 225000. This upgrade is
for additional chain security. Failure to do so will result in errors on your old wallet.

The reward changes will coincide with a to be announced hard fork for Smart Contracts.
We do not have a set date for this huge change, but we will keep the community informed when the time is closer.

The changes as planned right now, will be as follows:
  • PoW Reward : 10 Lux
  • New Miner Reward from PoW: 8 Lux (previously 10)
  • New Masternode Payment from PoW: 2 Lux (previously 0)
  • PoS Reward : 1 Lux New Stake Reward Payment: 0.8 Lux (Previously 0.6)
  • New Masternode Payment from PoS: 0.2 (Previously 0.4)

Please join our discord for the most up to date news and information, and to interact with the LUX team, and our amazing community Cheesy
https://discord.gg/9mnYwra

Thank you!

Hurts miners, but as a miner im still ok with thoose changes.
We will have more masternodes, and now with the man letting us have 1/100th MN share it is possible to share the spoils for most of us.

Also makes it more lucrative to hold LUX than just mine and dump.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZERO - COMMUNITY TAKEOVER on: April 04, 2018, 10:19:16 AM
Sometimes it really needs a community take over, taking over a community to make it productive and profitable, to make it active and attracts new members that will put together their efforts and ideas to make a sleeping project back into life again to be a prolific way of investing and engaging in a cryptocurrency.

True, some projects would just die without a community takeover.
But the best course is if it does not need to happen. And isnt it so that the original dev sits with some keys that can be used in harmfull ways? Think i saw that in another community take over.
Please dont take that last part as "proof" or reason to sell, i just want an answer from someone who knows more about it Smiley
