He replied me that Monero is superior because its privacy is by default and can't be switched off. What do you think? I think that he has glissed to avoid admitting that Monero is not superior at the technological level; I also think that the possibility of choise is always better, even more so in a sector such as cryptovaluates, where people need to be aware that they are their own bank. |

I just wanna ask if it's mandatory to upgrade to v1.6? Or I can just update nodes and it will work?

It's mandatory, there will be a hard fork at block 460000 and you need to have the new wallet 1.6.0 in order to sync the right chain and avoid a useless chain split! |

All you need to do is execute the AppImage and there you go! If you're 846 pages in and still don't know how DeepOnion works you're in trouble  but seriously, good thread. a lot of info and fun stuff too. but that's for the newbies and people who have just learned about deeponion :-) ancient romans said "repetita iuvant" that means "repeat helps" and they knwo their stuff ! Nice quote that of the Romans! They also said "Bis repetita non placent" but I agree with you that more information in this thread is better. |
