For those investors of DeepOnion, they are currently suffering major losses. Although the entire market is turning red, DeepOnion's decline far exceeds that of other altcoins. This shows that most of the DeepOnion holders lack of their awareness and confidenceof Deep Onion,and this fear of emotion is still spreading further, DeepOnion's team should pay more, allowing DeepOnion to list a better exchange to reverse the current difficulties.
DeepOnion is a long term project, investors will come soon, I'm sure about it. Agreed! this is not a short term pump and dump. It is a long term "way of life" type of project. Blockchain technology is not going away, neither is DeepOnion! It will definitely never go away, but even more so let's hope that it will make it to the top and stay there!  If you are looking around, you see the large public gaining awereness of the importance of privacy. This means privacy oriented crypto currencies will do well in the future. Why DeepOnion ? Simply because it's the best one around and is continuous improved. Despite all the enthusiasm, we should be realistic about the position of DeepOnion right now and its role in the future. There is no guarantee that DeepOnion will perform greatly forever. And there are also a lot of other coins that want to be the best privacy coin. It will take some years until we really see results. That's what I also believe. If anyone can perform good, they will be dominator. So, DeepOnion is performing good and will be a dominator. nothing is guaranteed in life - but it’s not delusional to say that DeepOnion has the best requirements to be the top privacy coin. We already have to be used to the ups and downs of cryptocurrencies, and this affects DeepOnion imminently. So we must concentrate on the marketing work, since there we can collaborate for the success of this currency. I think we need more networking and partnerships. nothing is guaranteed in life - but it’s not delusional to say that DeepOnion has the best requirements to be the top privacy coin. Yeah, when additional privacy features will be implemented, it will be hard to stop from mass usage. But there is a lot of work for the devs, so wish them best luck and good mood ^^ Development and testing takes a long time, we have to be patient, remember that DeepOnion is not even a year old coin. Look at Monero for example....they had real no volume/value in the first 3 years! 3! I'm definitely willing to wait 3 years if we can hit the ATH of Monero or even its current price would be massive in 2-3 years you have the right mindset. A project like DeepOnion is not quick pump 'n dump coin. Give it time to grow and develop. You gotta keep in mind that it's still less than 1 year old Definitely ... a more realistic review of how DeepOnion simply cannot be done until the coin is 18 months or more old and the roadmap is almost complete, then we can review the price and say we should be at X Y or Z I'm with you guys, this project is so young, let's hold it for a while! |

So whos picking up some more onions in this dip??? I ordered more BTC though coinbase.. hoping the dip holds out for a few more days at least until my btc clears to my account  Don't worry, you have more time and probably can buy more when we reach below $1 each.  Doubt we'd get to below one dollar but if we do, no better time to accumulate more onions. DeepOnion will regain its former glory. Thats a certainty. In times of accumulation like the one we are in, the lower the price the better. Smart people and professional traders buy during these periods keeping away emotions. I've never actually witnessed onion drop to this level since i bought my first onions. Any idea on what could be the cause? or is it a general market thing? Definitely this market has not benefited the price, many have sold at the end of the airdrop, someone is still selling. In addition we are a small project so very prone to price changes. What I am sure is that selling at this price is certainly not a good decision, unless you are going to buy back at a lower price.But be careful because it's risky: DeepOnion is close to the oversold for some time and presents typical patterns of explosive growth already seen many times in this world. |

That sucks. I'm glad that DeepOnion is backed up by the Bitcoin blockchain as well. It will help avoid such circumstances. Man. That was dangerous. I never want to be in that situation. Luckily we got DeepOnion to protect our wealth and anonymity. Wew. terrible terrible news for all people involved, there is nothing worst then wake up and find that all your cryptos are gone, that's why everyone should focus on security (even if in this case seems that a user could do nothing about it...) 51% attack thing is scary. From layman terms it mean someone is holding more than 51% of entire coins right? No, it means that someone has hashing power more than 50% of the entire network, hashing blocks for bitcoin gold, and they used their hashing power to somehow fork the network and fool the nods into joining his fork. The attack continues to generate blocks and reward the attacker. DeepOnion incorporate both PoS and PoW, but they are separated, so we are still open for 51% attack if someone was able to get 50%+ hashing power, but we use x13 which is more complicated than many algos used by the majority of cryptos and getting to 50%+ hashing power for x13 algos is difficult, even with the low number of miners we have right now. Maybe in the next 5 years... if that happened, a simple fork should work as a precaution. I'm knowledgeable but I'm not an expert so don't ask for details please. That's the most detailed explanation of a 51% attack I've seen so far. Thank you, most people in crypto just assume every person in crypto knows every term so they don't bother explaining. Yeah thank you really much for this explanation, that was a good one. So how exactly does this work? If I want to sell a GPU I can just post it there? For this to be truly successful you need things like seller ratings. Yes! Just post your actual pictures of your GPU and put the Onion price. It's a neat idea. I think there's a section on this forum to sell stuff. So maybe there should be a thread about that FB page there. Really nice idea indeed. Just this week: Official Chinese nodes has been implemented, The DeepOnion blockchain has been made so that it's guaranteed by the Official Bitcoin blockchain, wallet updates, Votecentral updates and DeepVault 2.0 work is being done. I would say that is quite a lot for a week I'm not asking because I do not know, it was the answer to a message above. |
