if more POC coins would come out, he would have an advantage position for sure

like every coin, the best profit is at launch

No POC makes it hard to decide. You can't just switch over / jump between coins like PoW. Imaging you spent 1 week to plot 10TB for BURST and right after you finish another PoC-coin comes out. What to do? Delete your plots and plot the new coin? I doubt. PoC is really made to be long-term mining coin.

who said that the next poc will be based on plots? maybe on HDD speed? or on space but without generating plots, but other things

Based on HDD speed ? LOL Do you live in fiction world ?
Such an innovative coin won't come out every 6 months. I doubt the next PoC coin will implement the new kind of PoC. If BURST becomes big, cloner will clone almost the same specs of it, only change a few variables.

i don't think that it's so impossible to make it really, we are in 2014 with fancy things in space, and we can't make a coin based on HD speed? LMAO

you just use the speed of your HD to mine, what's so hard about that to implement? and it's actually better than wasting space

Actually a POC coin where the HD space is used for something of value. Provide storage capacity for some service and get paid in coins mined. Sort of like renting HD space but more fun :p
I start thinking about mining with microwave depending on W of power  LOL  Grin Grin Grin

Everyone who uses the GPU plotter should pay me 5000 BURST coins to compensate me for my lost profits while my 4 3TB hard drives finish plotting on CPUs.  It'll be 3-5 days for them all to finish.  That's only fair.

PM me for my BURST address.
Fuck man Grin Grin You are so funny)))Give me your skype,I will call you if I'll have bad mood Grin

Very interesting concept...And you got me with your arguments against NXT,I don't like them too.
I will buy some maskcoins, and wait for wallet release. But at the moment your project looks very, very interesting.

ok update for http://burst-pool.cryptoport.io

so... after a lot of nonce spammer, currently pool spammer is reduced to only one and only nonce spammer BURST-JSES-5WN7-PHD8-7CQJ6
whoever it is, you are the only one spammer, i don't know if I should be happy or not, but you are giving away your share to all miner in our pool by spamming pool with higher deadline than your best deadline, everytime you did this your share is substracted by 0.001, based on stat calculation you are sending ~3000 nonce a minute so every round you loss 3.0 shares.

just FYI, yes the pool does not have deadline limit, but pool still take only one deadline from your nonce, it is your best deadline on every block, so spamming with nonsense nonce will gain you nothing as pool will not count or add them up as your share

I switched to your pool yesterday, and have no problems.Thank you for your work!

Got the miner working, had to add "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\" in front of the "java" in the miner code.

Now it says "Passphrase does not match the reward recipient".

Now what?
Delete passphrases txt from pool v2 folder
we don't use a passphrase file anymore?  I've put everything on the e:\ so I've only had one passphrase file since day 1.
If you are using pool v2,you must move or delete passphrases.txt file from pool v2 folder.

Error: Unable to get mining info from wallet

I keep getting this when mining on v2 pool

Try this-   C:\Windows\SysWOW64\java -cp pocminer_pool.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine http://127.0.0.1:8125 http://178.62.39.204:8121

I have a question to the Wallet. I mine in different locations, all of which are in a VPN and report to a central Wallet. This could indeed cause disadvantages in the latency. Can I use several wallets with the same data?
Yes,I have 3 PC's and 3 same walets on them.And I'm finding the blocks
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | Update to 1.0.3 before block 6500 on: August 30, 2014, 02:54:24 PM
Total Blocks 6706 mined by 672 miners
it seems 52 new miners mined the burst in these two days, Embarrassedi can't compete with you guys any more, didn't find a block in three days,,,see you in the v2 pools Grin

we still seeing old NRS on peers, for pool v2 we need all peers to use atleast 1.0.3 or we will have a bad fork... please update guys
...don't dev announce that update 1.0.3 before 6500? now is almost 6800, if use old wallet, can still download blockchain after 6500?

yes 1.0.2 is still work, but if pool miner start doing reward_assignment, i dont know what happen to 1.0.2 since that wallet dont understand this new kind of transaction, thats what preventing us from start pooled (v2) mining

Well, then a different solution is needed.
If you're waiting for everyone to read this thread (or just pay attention) and upgrade.... it won't happen.

to be honest, this would be a serious problem , for example, if i am a investor, and i want get the burst out of the platform and send to my wallet, and now we only have a website wallet, and if opening the wallet , you must open the wallet sever, for investor, they don't need update wallet so frequently ,right? the normal situation is ,investor should only open an gui wallet and the blockchain will download automaticlly, they don't need to update the wallet to 1.0.2 or 1.0.3. they just need to connect the wallet sever..then this will result the wallet severl be all updated to 1.0.3.
Yes,I think, this may be the problem. This is the reason why I don't like nxt based coins. But from other side, this is not POS coin, and investors can keep coins on exchanges.

By the looks of this thread, there is not much interest in this coin..also bittrex has a delisting warning up on this... is it dead ?

No it is just not scammy enough to get the mass public. At some point people will get sick of scams and look for real coins actually developing things that can me used. Such as GDN's auction site. The bittrex flag will most likely be removed because their has been enough trading in the last week to maintain it on bittrex. They only update it once a week so it will remain until the automated update happens.
Yes,you are right! This train is still on the start station and waiting for passengers.A lot of people want to get fast money, but fast money in cryptos is trap.Lot of people are looking in graphics for moment and not for coin and this is the reason of many losses.
Yesterday I have warned people about SHOPX coin, and look where it is now...Like I said-the promisses of dev was a bubble...
If price of coin is cheap, and devs are active and complete their promisses it is right coin, and right time to invest.
