Glad you found that useful. I now see your open issue on Blockchair GH... good news is that it seems to be a recognised bug and you'll have made the fix possible! I haven't had the opportunity to truly use all the explorers out there but Blockchair's pretty much the best deal to me for native SW support... which makes me wonder if those others I mentioned would have caught up. Lightning analysis will be even more interesting I think, though there's already some explorers like 1ML and LightBlock - admittedly with very basic analytics atm, don't seem to see groupings by input available. Like I said, I ended up using chain.so, their API is very simple but it includes the raw transaction for both segwit and non-segwit and that's really all I need, fancy dancy parsing with no consistent functionality wasn't really going to work out for me. I should totally look into the lightning network soon too :p haven't had the time to see all the node setups and functionality available through it. I've found matbea ( https://matbea.net/) quite useful in the past as well, but it seems that the site is slighly broken. It used to track adresses like Walletexplorer, but also included exchanges such as coinbase, bitflyer.jp, et al. (I'm not entirely sure if it still does so correctly.) EDIT, just tried it: Seems like it still indexes coinbase adresses. Not sure how accurate it all is though. Functional and simple, looks like they even have comments for each holder too. Found it very funny that their api docs is strictly in russian

third question: i will have to prune the blockchain so my plan its to prune it and then migrate it on a linux OS. my plan its this: 1 turn off the node 2 migrate the pruned chain on the right folder of the new hardware 3 open the config file and set prune= my actual setup plus migrate the wallet.dat file 4 run bitcoind. can you confirm my plan? LOL
i will have some more question but since i don't want bother anyone for now its fine like this! thanks for anyone who'll help
Besides all the other questions that have been answered. I think that for pruning you need to store your unpruned copy first. Turn off bitcoind, make a copy of the chainstate/blocks (or basically the whole .bitcoin folder) somewhere safe. Change the bitcoin.conf and add prune=550 for minimum size, run bitcoind, let it prune, once it's done, turn off the node and send the pruned copy to your linux machine. (you have to copy everything in the folder this time, especially bitcoin.conf). That way you only have to transfer 550mb rather than the full blockchain.

I believe the mean is more useful than the average here.
If I'm correct it's 5340.
Copy pasted the data into a quick plot tool to see all the data points. Almost 75% of all predictions are under 7k$.

While copying everything else from jeremypwr you need to un-copy this. Escrow : NYou're a newbie account and you haven't even shown proof of funds. Your payments are also extremely low. Sportsbet campaign pays per post. But who am I to judge, if people want to join your campaign its on them.

As funny as it is, but the best tool is your brain, the are a lot of websites, but you can not trust them fully as they might be wrong.
Why would they be wrong? Taint just looks for : Transactions signed by different addresses at the same time confirming they are of the same owner. And follows output signatures from the coinbase transaction down to where they landed. These two things are impossible to get wrong. Walletexplorer doesn't do the latter, and I tried OXT but I found it a bit slow/over-complicated. The error could come from other analysis tools that try to uncover mixing transactions by using output values and dates. But those are rare, I can understand how that can be hard to accurately track. Can never seem to locate my bookmarks! BlockSci is probably one of the more popular and regularly updated open source tool. BTCSpark and Blockparser a bit farther behind. Project Devt section's had a few new tools out in the past few months. Scroll back some pages. Or if you're as avaerage Joe as me, maybe even simple tools like on Blockchair.com is enough to interest you on a Sunday afternoon. Great recommendations! Thanks. I know blockchair because I wanted to use them for something completely different through their API, but I ended up using chain.so. EDIT : I remembered now why I didn't use blockchair Finding an API that fully supports SegWit transactions was a pain in the ass Those other libraries look great though, I'll try to find the time to go through them.

I'm not sure honestly. I know for a fact browser extensions can access the file system purely from my experience with past extensions. I spent about 30 minutes skimming google and their developer docs. If this is wrong on my end please let me know : - download any additional malware (add-ons are run within an isolated environment) : Downloading malware means the application needs permission to connect to its server, and needs write permission on the target machine. Examples of extensions with write permission : 3rd party session saving that restore your tabs, and any application that needs to store its state on your computer.
- search through your file system : This means read permission. An extension that comes to mind is download managers and extensions that communicate with other applications.
So, API examples : https://developer.chrome.com/apps/fileSystem : File System endpoint. After reading through this it looks like you can access absolute paths on the target machine. https://developer.chrome.com/apps/storage : Storage endpoint. Note that this is a lot different because you can only access your own directory in AppData. https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/nativeMessaging : Native messaging. Even though after reading through it, it looke like that it might be only possible for the app to send messages to other apps that they programmed themselves. But even without mentioning all of these, just purely including complete browser access is a massive security risk. Especially for people who use web wallets. Like bob said the extension can run any arbitrary code on any webpage, access any session-related data, display/modify any forms.. Basically a complete takeover over your browser experience.

I tried to read as much as I can from this thread. I understood how each subsequent key has a bigger interval than the one before it, but I don't understand how the highest keys were also spent?
If this was the hex for the 57th key : 0x00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001eb25c90795d61c
which I assume is a random between (57bits)1FFFFFFFFFFFFFF and 100000000000000.
How were the highest outputs spent? Wouldn't they be extremely hard to find because of the massive 256-bit max range? I don't get it..

I get some Hash rate lets say 28 Th/s for 96 hours from miningrigrentals. Then I put in on solo.ckpool.org. When the share you find gets a block , you get the somehow 12 BTC (some less I think) Thats better chance per price then playing lottery.....
That's probably the smartest gambling strategy I've ever heard of I'd merit you but I'm broke. Good luck to you, hope you land into that lucky block. I assume the pic you shared of 0.0008 btc was because you messed up once and weren't on the solo pool.

Yeah there is something in this game! I'm sure you'll have 2 kinds of players, those spending hours coding bots to beat the others and those who close it after 10 minutes to never open it again!
Cause that's not a user friendly game ^^
Man I wish this was even harder lol.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4638210.msg48051759#msg48051759It used to take me 20 minutes to figure out the best strategy to use. All you need is to watch other bots, and look at who they drown and when. But I'm a bit surprised by the bets sizes, considering the small fee taken by the site, the site doesn't earn much no?
Shh... We don't talk about site admin profits, but bring your friends!

You showed me that I missed important rules that made the game deeper and more interesting, but to be honest I didn't understand those rules with your explanations :p Well I might be stupid of course! Anyway thanks for your answer that showed i need to work on my drown a bit more! Cheers Good luck! You'll probably learn better with playing rather than having it explained to you, it took me a while too so don't worry about it!
|
|
|
This game is so complicated xD
Ok it seems I missed few very important things but to be honest if you want more players you'll need to find some way to explain things easily cause I don't understand at all and I have no trouble with English (so imagine people not speaking well English).
Anyway it seems I'll have to spend another few hours trying to understand how this works!
I did my best I guess.

Soooooooooo
I've played a bit and I don't understand. What's the point of the game? From what I see the ONLY possible move is to drown a player... And I don't understand at all how the result is decided.
What I mean is: On another player you can drown or do nothing. Both do nothing = +1 for each, you drown the other +2 for you -2 for him, both drown each other =-1 for both
Whatever your neighboor does your best move is to drown him: -he drowns you you do nothing -> makes -4 difference for you (he wins 2 you lose 2) -He drowns you you drown him -> makes 0 difference (both at -1) -He doesn't drowns you you drown him -> makes +4 difference for you (he loses 2 you win 2) -He doesn't drown you you drown him -> makes 0 difference (both win 1)
So why would your action be to play fair? I don't understand something here right?
And result seems completely random, because other players moves are random as hell, I suppose they're bots? Last game I got left behind really quick because I drowned everyone and it seems everyone drowned me (logical) but some people weren't drowned by all players... Without any reason Oo
I think I missed something cause right now I don't understand at all the point of this game and how it's supposed to work. Best logical move will always be to drown someone and wins are just because bots randomly chose to drown or not some players, without any reason.
To be quick about it you're missing 2 things : 1. Penalty (Revenge) points : It's fairly simple to understand. Every time x player drowns you, give him penalty points. Once his penalty points go above a threshold, you will ALWAYS drown this player every time you can. This is how you make enemies in this game. Here for example, if a player drowns me on the first move, he gets 1 penalty point. If he drowns me on the 2nd move, 5 points, on the third and above, 4 points. So if another player drowns me the 1st and 2nd move, His total will be 6>5, he is now an enemy. This one is pretty simple, works like : Drown me once, shame on me, drown me twice, shame on you. Notice that in 20 moves, the admin added a 7Drown max limit, so once you drown 7 times, you can no longer drown anyone. 2. Cumulative movement: Now that you understand how you can make enemies, this is a quick example to make you understand how playing aggressively while everyone else is not playing aggressive, will quickly make you the lowest player on the mountain. Being on top very fast doesn't always mean you're winning, because once you're at the top you can only move using people lower than you. While everyone under you is surrounded by people they can cooperate / play aggressive with. I hope it cleared it all for you, you can always ask for clarification!

I run a Bitcoin full node, nothing special. Sometimes I try some lucky BTC mining with the adress there but of course no suceed.
I'm still intrigued. So do you leave your server running at full GPU/CPU load hoping to get a block? But since you're not solo mining and you're working with a pool, I don't get what you mean by "lucky BTC mining". What pool is it btw? ckpool.org, just checked the tx.

That's what he meant as well - i.e, every BTC he bought from someone that someone would also give him $666 thus making the net cost of each bitcoin -$666 ... Lol, thanks for pointing it out. I sometimes just skim messages very quickly and somehow completely missed what he meant... Oh well, merry christmas?

Not only is it the best way, but I also want to request you and everyone over here (obviously, if they agree upon this) to please change the weekly pay to bi-weekly and keep 100 posts max for the period as you've described for this period of time, because it'll be a bit of an advantage for a few people who post less during x week and make good amount of posts in y week. Hope everyone understands, I request Darkstar to personally think over this and if they can, please put up a poll here for everyone to give them the opportunity to choose whether they're comfortable with what I requested or the weekly pay is still better.
What difference does it make? You guys have no minimum quota. You make 3 posts this week and 30 posts next week you'll be paid 3+ 30... It makes sense if Darkstar wants to group weeks because he's busy the holiday season, but it changes completely nothing for you guys..

765 Fabiorem 3390 PoolMinor 3475 Arriemoller 3490 Spaceman_Spiff_Original 3498 Elwar Are you sure about that? :p My bitstamp chart says 3440 was the highest price the last 2 hours. Also, I think you need to relax your numbers a little bit Mic. You should update it once every 1 - 2 days or something, and only micromanage it the last week after bakkt launches. It's still a looong ride man Chill! and Merry Christmas
