381  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: January 29, 2016, 12:45:46 AM
Hard work is the counter-stone to getting rich. You cannot get rich by doing minimalist effort. It may take time to find a job, but keep looking for a job. There are many opportunities available both online and offline.
382  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: January 29, 2016, 12:41:36 AM
I don't think there is going to be an economic crisis. The price of oil may have dropped but that may not mean the world is going to end. I think Bitcoin hold some value of money, but the world is definitely not going to end.
383  Other / Politics & Society / Drugs fuck you up, man on: January 28, 2016, 11:31:08 PM
So for this politics topic I wanted to talk specifically about the harmful effects of illegal drugs and how the forum's users' cities' drug problem are. I will start off by saying that I have cerebral palsy and some mental health issues and to any casual observer, I may be a user of crack cocaine. This is not the case however; I have schizo-effective disorder. I do embarrass myself in public from time to time but I am doing my best.

Is there a rampant drug use problem in your city? In Vancouver, it seems everyone is on something. Soiled cloths, staggering. People love their drugs. To top it all off the drunks assault the alleged drug addicts. (I got assaulted by some douche keeping his neighborhood safe. Ignorance is bliss, ignorance is bliss.

How's the drug problem in your city?
384  Economy / Services / Junior writer for hire on: January 28, 2016, 11:19:33 PM
So I have realized now that I have a bit of catching up to do in the regard of computer programming. Nevertheless, computers have always been an interest of mine and I am in dire need of a job.

I am offering my writing services to anyone who wants to look at my previous posts on this forum and judge for themselves whether I am an interesting person who's opinions and ideas are wroth paying to write about. I have an interest in computers and technology, with a specific emphasis on programming and bitcoin. I have the basic understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript, C# and Visual Basic. I have attended CakeFest in New York City in 2015 and have a basic understanding of the framework.

I am hoping to get a job either writing newbie tutorials or reporting on the development of bitcoin or programming languages. I have just got my internet back in my apartment and can write articles ASAP. Contact me via PM.
385  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.4431 BTC Lend for BTCTalk account, web hosting and domain on: January 11, 2016, 11:45:07 PM
The domain I have is the same as my account. tommorisonwebdesign.com.
386  Economy / Lending / 0.4431 BTC Lend for BTCTalk account, web hosting and domain on: January 09, 2016, 11:25:36 PM
So I am offering my bitcointalk account, web hosting and domain name for a BTC0.4431 loan so I can make minimum credit card payments and reinstate the internet in my apartment. Right now I am unable to work for a member of BTCTalk since I have no internet in the home and can't test the software. If more collaterial I needed, all I really have is physical stuff. I've got some PS3 games as well as the console itself. I would rather work with the collaterial associated with my account, however. Server space is on iPage, and it's my credit card information on their file.
387  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P SCAMMER. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: January 01, 2016, 02:23:26 AM
First question: Do you guys need me to hunt down some addresses for you?
That would be nice. At this point master-p is 100% scamming.
388  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANN] World of Bitcoin on: January 01, 2016, 12:10:07 AM
Me and my partner are launching a new website is is intended to be like TBN except exclusive to Bitcoins. I intend to release various bots and other software that will help people passively earn Bitcoin. Check it out http://worldofbitcoin.xyz
389  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P SCAMMER. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 31, 2015, 03:31:44 AM
You might want to get a second job master-p. McDonalds I hear offers great career opportunities, including free health insurance and paid college tuition.
390  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P SCAMMER. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 31, 2015, 01:56:37 AM
Holy fuck this whole thread is ridiculous. First master-p gets hacked, (possibly) then there's a bunch of angry cursing at each other on top of sig spammers spaaming to up their post count. Would everyone chill out and could the real master-p "please stand up" - LOL.

391  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 11:01:31 PM
I will be able to sign a message in about 10 hours time.

How? A couple of posts ago you said you would be home in 2 days. And some time before that you said you would be home in about a week. This just doesn't add up.
Obviously he's coming back home early to refund the coins. It seems some sig posters are just posting shit to bump up their post count.

I would like to re-enroll in this campaign, I can use the extra money, and I am still a new programmer.

Well if this story is true then the money is gone, and master-p owes all of his customers his escrow funds. I used him as an escrow for a tranasction once. It makes me think twice about finding work here on this forum.
394  Economy / Services / [$2 Bounty]. Working with C# and webheaders on: December 29, 2015, 06:28:40 PM
Me and my partner are launching a website which will be similar to TBN except only specific Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency. I will offer $2 to the person who can help me solve this problem, as well as the "400 Bad Request" error I keep running into. Below is the Fiddler error I keep getting

395  Economy / Services / Re: CakePHP website developer and VB.NET programmer on: December 29, 2015, 06:04:25 PM
It is really clear here, that you have exactly 0 experience. I wouldn't know what I should pay you for since there is so little to show.
Right now you are unhirable.

This aside :

First : Learn all the basics to php on codeacademy or teamtreehouse.

Then learn Laravel instead of cakePHP because its designed with some really nice and more modern design choices and features.
Stop calling yourself a "insertFramework"-Programmer immediately.
Get a subscription to laracasts.com and learn the shit out of it.
Come back next year with some awesome side projects and show them off.
Additionally look for a junior developer job.
nn

Will do. Your last suggestion is the best. I found people hire me more in response to job posters than me advertising. I will keep learning and work with the projects I got from this forum. I'm happy to have them.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: December 22, 2015, 07:25:36 PM
Yes Bitcoin is real money, but it is better than real money because it has more applications. It can be easier to spend, can be held as an investment, as is based on a technology that has a lot of economical potential.
397  Economy / Services / Re: CakePHP website developer and VB.NET programmer on: December 20, 2015, 06:24:54 PM
Sorry but you should learn more before you offer here webdesign or webdevelopment. I was 2 mins on your site and found so much mistakes :/
Example: You are showing mysql-errors on your site (header), You should use margin-left and margin-right because the content on your landingsite is directly on the left and right side.
Dont keep it up Smiley

Best regards
Christian
What do you think about my cake project? I know my own website needs work. Thanks for encouraging me to keep going Smiley. I have other projects I am working on at the moment.

Bump. VB.NET examples can be provided by PM.
399  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin programming portal on: December 19, 2015, 03:28:09 AM
I started this website as a basic idea to building a new Bitcoin community. I wanted to be able to provide something more than just a discussion forum that has gone for the worst. I was hoping to offer beginner programming tutorials and really provide a community for Bitcoin programmers. One idea I had recently was to offer a subscription-based service to the website and offer bots that do various things such as collect Bitcoins from faucets and automate other GPT websites. I already have one partner for the website. I will merely be an employee of this website as a coder. I have a prototype up at http://tommorisonwebdesign.com/bitcoinportal
Your prototype only have wordpress blog. What are planning to do?
I am probably going to scrape that website and build a website myself using the CakePHP framework. I have found it to be really useful developing custom web applications.

EDIT: Looks like WordPress is way less secure than I thought. I see that my account on that site got hacked. I am going to scrpae it and start something new.
400  Other / Meta / Re: Just remove signatures already. As in delete, disable, gone. on: December 18, 2015, 11:42:51 PM

I'm English, and I find my post quality to be fairly high. If anything, my post quality has mainly improved since joining a signature campaign as I've stopped posting in areas such as Off Topic or Games and Rounds to keep my post quality high.
Good for you. I do not mean to generalize, I am just pointing out that there are many one line sentences who post with a campaign. I used to be involved in sig campaigns myself, and I am Canadian. I am not saying it's a bad thing people in Africa can eat off a sig campaign, I'm just saying it it possible and making note of that.
Quote
Sig campaigns greatly reduce the quality of this forum with people who only post for the Bitcoins, even if it is not much. It leaves us skilled computer users dealing with a ton of spam.
While this is my opinion, god damn you seem to have a big ego. Posts like this:
I don't need to be a part of this campaign. Most of my time online is spent programming/setting up online businesses. That sure pays more than signature campaigns.
with the only purpose of basically saying "I'm better than you all because I don't need a signature campaign" really make you look like a dick.

Also, it's pretty funny that you boast about making so much that you don't need a campaign, yet still recently tried making a bot to rob faucet owners (people trying to make money through web development) for dust without giving them ad revenue. Cunt.
Well, think what you want. If it were not me it would be some other "cunt".
What I found is there is a lot of programming and many other gigs available on this forum and those living in third-world nations should get more skilled
Quote
Or maybe they don't want to learn coding, since that isn't for everyone. I've made much more helping people and posting on this forum than I've ever made doing web development jobs. Perhaps you should stop generalizing others to stroke your own ego and go back to doing your well paid development jobs.
I don't mean to come across as having a big ego and there are many ways to make money online with enough effort. If you want to help people, by all means.

I have just removed my signature campaign. All I have to say is that most people posting in signature campaigns are either people living in third-world countries or people who find way to abuse the signature campaign. Sig campaigns greatly reduce the quality of this forum with people who only post for the Bitcoins, even if it is not much. It leaves us skilled computer users dealing with a ton of spam. That is a case of faulty generalization right there. I'm not living in a third-world country nor am I abusing the campaign (at least that is what I think and so does the manager). My posting habits have not changed since I've joined/changed campaigns. If anything, the amount of posts that I make is lower. While I do agree that most people spam, we can never say that it is the case with everyone. However, I still support disabling signature campaigns/imposing restrictions/other.

There is a script which allows you to disable signatures in this forum. You wont have any issues after enabling it. But I personally don't mind the signatures, they're not putting a gun against my head.. Smiley
That does nothing to solve spam.
Why would I say a staff member would spam the forum? I did not mean to generalize. I myself was a first-world sig campaign poster (Canada).
I know for staff is different beacuse you have to read what people write, but I don't  Wink
Technically we don't either; we don't have to do almost anything. However, I think the best way to remove this problem is by tackling its root (they don't have to be necessarily removed, guidelines/restrictions could be made).
I have just removed my signature campaign. So you are saying that people in third worlds don't have a right to benefit from Bitcoin? I remember reading some stories about how some guys that were unfortunate to be born in some of these shitholes were making more money thought signature campaigns than they did working a real job (where they are exploited for peanuts). Isn't this beautiful? Bitcoin is liberating people, this should be celebrated in any case.

Anyway, I live in a first world country, and unemployment is only getting worse. Getting some extra bucks a week is greatly appreciated. Removing sig campaigns would be removing an actual use case of Bitcoin that directly benefits real people (both the people getting paid and the people improving traffic into their websites by promoting it through them, not to mention the website itself benefits as traffic is way higher and it ranks better).
I would also stop buying stuff with Bitcoin because I only buy stuff If I get paid with it, buying Bitcoin then buying something with it makes no sense.

If you want to be elitist, maybe you could disable signatures in a specific new subforum called "technical talk" or something, where it's impossible to get paid if you post there, filtering any possible spam. Other than that, doing this with the entire forum is a mistake.
If someone spams, mods see it and ban them already, so this is really a non issue. If the colorful banners offend your eyes, it's also a non issue since disabling ads will be possible soon for Hero+. I personally tried a script when I wasn't in a sig campaign to disable all signatures and the forum looked extremely sameish. My eyes have become used at posts being separated by banners at this point.
I'm not say it's a bad thing at all people in Africa can afford to cook breakfast by posting on this forum. There are many places in Africa where people do feed themselves off this forum. All I am saying is there needs to be less spam.
