381  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Iberia Bank hates Bitcoin on: October 12, 2017, 03:39:28 PM
Went to open a business checking account for a personal investment company.  Agent asks purpose of the entity.  Said one of the intents to invest in bitcoin and other digital currencies.  Bank rejected account application stating not wanting to be associated with bitcoin, etc.  Shame.

There is no doubt about that though as Banks really hate Bitcoin and it will never support it because they see it as a threat and for me it is just a matter of time that this Banks will become obsolete just like the company of Kodak. They can't stop people to invest in Bitcoin so they just started it by themselves by blocking every attempt of anyone in investing in digital currencies using their money.

It is a clear sign that Bitcoin is the future of digital currency, and Bankers will do some political moves among the governments of each countries in regulating this Bitcoin thing for sure.
382  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-11] 39-Year Old Father-of-3 Sells Everything for Bitcoin, Waits for ... on: October 12, 2017, 03:30:41 PM
So their home is almost half a million dollars, This guy must be rich because he is not scared of what will happen to his money and a true risk taker indeed, he may regret his decisions earlier when investing in Bitcoin but he know to himself that it is not too late to start investing again to Bitcoin even though the price of it is $5,200 a piece now.

He just keep on believing even though he misses the times 10 of his Bitcoins back then and he is okay with the times 4 prediction by the year of 2020, me also believe that Bitcoin will soar high by 2020 and it is all about the matter of trust and prayers.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC passes $5,000 USD milestone on: October 12, 2017, 02:34:16 PM
Any theories on what caused the sudden spike in price? Do you think the price will hold over the next few weeks? Any speculations for the future?

Big day for BTC, I remember reading threads in 2015 about how "one day BTC will be over 5k USD"... today's that day

It is all about the people who holds other cryptocurrencies and Altcoins, they converting it now into Bitcoin because there is an aidrop for the incoming Hard Fork of Segwit2x this coming late October so they are just getting ready about that I think, and take the fact also that there are some new investors that taking the ride of the increasing price of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin already reached the all time high when it comes to market cap. and price, I this is only the start as there is more thing that Bitcoin will offer soon that will result for much more increase of it. Let's hope that Bitcoin will reach $100 billion Market Cap by the end of this year.
384  Economy / Economics / Re: each state will create its own token? on: October 11, 2017, 11:51:17 PM
Hello people! As you consider whether each state to create their own tokens? under its currency?

Maybe it can but I don't think it will happen world wide because it is just like inventing a car that can be use water as an alternative gas, we all know that cryptocurrency is good and we all feel that it is the future of digital currency but if you will implement it in each state for an alternative to Fiat currencies then many political parties and business man will hinder it and do some extraordinary movement to stop it no matter how good it is.

Let's just hope for the best to happen in the next years for Bitcoin and support it wholeheartedly.

385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will banks start a war against bitcoin on: October 11, 2017, 11:15:28 PM
I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

They already started a cold war against Bitcoin I think because most of the top online payment platform like Paypal and Skrill that accepts Visa, Master and other cards doesn't welcome Bitcoin in converting to their websites because they know that it is a suicide attempt in their part doing business to the greatest revolutionary digital currency.

Banks compare to Bitcoin is nothing when it comes through the digital world because it is way more faster and cheaper in sending and receiving transactions in the whole world and it has no hidden charges that makes your money disappear without your consent. And I also think that Bankers already made a move in talking to some government in regulating this Cryptocurrency exchanges.
386  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: October 11, 2017, 10:49:29 PM
Should I stop buying BTC for above market value or should I start paying the listed price? I support Bitcoin and still pay 5k a BTC does anyone see bitcoin going back up?

By this time, you should stop buying bitcoin because the price is high. Wait for the price to become low again then sell when it goes up again
Bad advice! Buy at dips, buy anytime you wish to buy cause you may never even see that value again. I learnt my lessons some years back when I was waiting for the best price and I was never able to buy at that present price till today as it kept rising in value until I just settled for the period I bought in eventually and it is still obviously paying me till today even at the price that I considered too much as at then.
This is the issue with people, they are always looking for the best moment to get into bitcoin not realizing that the best moment is right now, if you do not get in, you are going regret it when bitcoin reaches a price that no one thought it was possible, it was not long ago that people were wondering if bitcoin will reach 1000 dollar again and now we are close to 5000.

When bitcoin price going up they will hope that price will down. Then bitcoin price was decrease still they are waiting for more dips and become worried because they think if they will buy at that dips they think price will decrease more. And now that price is increasing, you will see people regrets that they didn't able to buy lol.

How can they put an end to this regrets if they don't have guts to face the risks.

No one can really tells what will happen next in the future but if we just look at the history of Bitcoin we can say that it is always going up no matter what happens this past 2 years, we can't predict what is the next country will be regulating to ban Cryptocurrency exchanges that may result for an another down fall of price in Bitcoin.

People are smart now and the supply of Bitcoin is limited so for me there is no other way for it but to go up, of course there is a slight fall downs of price along the way but it is only a corrections that will be soon cope up and the price of Bitcoin will go up again and again. Every time is the right time to buy Bitcoin as long as you have the money and guts to do it.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Surges Above $4900 Amid Catalan 'Independence' Declaration on: October 11, 2017, 10:06:28 PM
But what has the issue of Catalonia to do with the price of bitcoin? I am always surprised at the ease that the supposed analysts take any pretext to justify a market movement without a logical explanation. In any case, the Brexit should have generated a greater volatility in the bitcoin price and it did not happen.

He doesn't need to spoon feed it though, on the third paragraph of his statement he said
Quote
There are many such independence movements in the world today which could diminish the power and influence of central bankers upon the nations of the earth. It is possible that china's recent crackdown on exchanges was ordered by central bankers, as well as the number of analysts, economists and experts who recently began to criticize bitcoin in the media.
Maybe he is thinking too deep but I think there is a very slight chance that it will still affect the global price of Bitcoin as Catalonia is a country just like China so giving a positive feedback regarding Bitcoin will have an impact no matter how small or big it is.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying for citizenship using Bitcoins! on: October 11, 2017, 09:44:00 PM
Vanuatu island is a small island but it is so wonderful though, I am just curious why is it this small republic considered Bitcoin as a payment for their citizenship comparing to those other countries that is more modern when it comes to technology. I think their government accepts Bitcoin because they see it as a true potential for the growth of their economy in the future so they started it with this.

Their GDP for 2017 is around $750 million, I think if they really accepts Bitcoin as a legal tender in their country then by the year 2018 they will reach $1 billion or more in their GDP.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: DON'T DO PANIC SELLING !!! on: October 11, 2017, 09:31:10 PM
Hey everyone Smiley

finally the price of bitcoins is increasing and was becoming more stable but ! Its price is again decreasing now... You know it will be very nice if you guys instead of dumping them hold on to them...
Dumping the bitcoins in panic because of the fear of the price never reaching this high value in future.. does affects the price of bitcoins in a very bad way!
Yes some people get profit form it but!!!it decrease your future chances of earning even more higher profit... And so does for everyone else...

You have a point in what you are saying but you can't force people not to sell their Bitcoins though and there is no rapid decrease regarding the price in the market cap. of Bitcoin so it seems that you are the one who really panics. If you just invested a big amount of your money in Bitcoin just keep calm and relax because there is no other way that Bitcoin will be going back to $1000 or even $3000 unless there is major issues against it that will arise.

Segwit2x is coming, the Bitcoin dominance is 51.6% among all of the cryptocurrencies because most of the holders of Altcoins tend to convert their coins for the upcoming airdrop of Bitcoin Hard Fork coins, so with this I don't see any reason for Bitcoin's fall down or any panic selling that will occur as of the moment.

390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates Praised the Bitcoins on: October 11, 2017, 07:29:14 PM
Bill Gates has praised the bitcoins, it is a big thing for the bitcoin community. More such personalities should openly support the bitcoins which will help to gain the trust and popularity among the common people.

Check it out here    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4APj2cgjJo&feature=youtu.be

The richest man on earth that is living has already spoken and see what Bitcoin's potential is capable of. Bill Gates is not a banker if you know what I mean. He is an inventor, innovator, investor etc. and he is open minded about Bitcoin compare to those selfish Bankers that only speaks what they want and spread what they think is right in their own even if they will look stupid in people's eyes.

It is just a matter of time until this haters and doubters will be investing also in cryptocurrencies.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep buying? on: October 11, 2017, 07:12:43 PM
Bitcoin price keeps increasing. Price is x10 considering last year. Even 25k-50k-100k is predicted.

Are you adding more bitcoin by buying with cash? or you trade or invest in ICOs & altcoins in order to increase the amount you have?

or do you just hold what you have?

If I have given a chance to buy more Bitcoin now with my Fiat money I will do it because I really believe that it will still go high in the future and I really believe to its potential as the future digital money of our generation.

I already got a good amount of Bitcoin now and I am proud of it because I didn't invest a big amount of my Fiat money into it instead I worked for it with my very best. The good thing also is that I am not withdrawing all of my Bitcoin holdings as long as I have an enough money in the real world. Trust Bitcoin with all your heart as it never breaks people's heart since it was created it only those that was invested in the wrong time and scammed are the haters of it and especially the bankers.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be 10k in the next 6-10 months! on: October 11, 2017, 07:08:01 PM
As you can read the title, these are the words said by Former Wall Street giant turned Billionaire Mike Novogratz that they won't be surprised if Bitcoin reaches $10k by 2018. We have all been seeing some sarcastic comments from many Wall Street giants and here's an opposite statement coming from someone who used to be a part a Wall-Street. Hey critics, what do you think now?

We are sure to see 10k very soon because the price has broken the level that I expected it to, before the end of October. So, let's just start counting days unless this battle between SW and S2X comes to an end and let the real action begin.

Everything is possibe with Bitcoin and I am sure with that because after I entered the cryptocurrency scene last year Bitcoin always grow exponentially and unexpectedly every month, We also seen the downs of Bitcoin within this whole year round but it always bounces back quickly and with this it is a great sign of a strong digital currency and we all know that it almost multiplied by 7+ since October of 2016 and if this continues within the next 6-10 months then there is no doubt that it will reach that $10,000 mark.

If this upcoming Segwit2x will become successful even with Split or not and Bitcoin survive another round of FUD or any king of threats then the new era of Bitcoin will begin and the price of it will boom again for the year 2018.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: What Is with The Negativity Around Bitcion...... on: October 11, 2017, 06:51:43 PM
So I get it Ok, When this Bitcoin first came on the scene it was blasted. So as I watch what is happening with Bitcoin I have to say there are just people who speak and have No Clue what they are talking about.
Because people always want to spread lies and negative thoughts when they are not aware of what is happening and what is the trend all about, it is a human nature that we always judge fast even though we are not clearly understands the root cause of what really happens. And most of the time people believes what is bad and malicious as long as it is catchy in their minds even though it is not true or no reliable sources supporting that thing.

The other observation is what I am reading is all past financial executives. They are really just making a fool of themselves.

I will leave with this if the SEC is getting ready to allow Bitcoin for trading this instrument is valid........
Because most of this executives knew that their businesses or jobs in the future will affect by Bitcoin's growth in the future, so they will do what they can do to stop it even if they make themselves look stupid.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I lost 95 Bitcoin on: October 11, 2017, 05:45:09 PM
I bought my first few Bitcoins in 2012; eventually I got around 100 and managed to hold most of them until this point. Yesterday they were stolen from me. Shortly after I made a transaction, I left my PC with Electrum open, I believe there was a key logger waiting for me to type my password as when I returned an hour later, I saw my account had been emptied.

This happened shortly after receiving my hardware wallet (ledger), which I never got round to filling up. Obviously storing £350k(that hurts to type) on my daily computer was a moronic thing to do.

See the transaction here: https://blockchain.info/tx/220caec53bac39cc1a2d2692eecd385bca796fc1a839254ddd622b911344ae97

The Bitcoins were then split and are currently residing at these two addresses:
https://blockchain.info/address/18JCmLzKQoZydXspc6CPwovWVwYtUT7DCx
https://blockchain.info/address/16YiXuw4eaFVvpyhX7mYufwsj77LHrydUx
https://blockchain.info/address/18ZnbD5JQwdEJRwKrb34nXPu7J6pHN1CMR

I know I wont get these Bitcoins back but if anyone knows of a blockchain or malware analysis service or just want to give me advice, I would appreciate it.

For information leading to the recovery, I can pay 3 BTC + 50% of the recovered bitcoins

Almost 5 years of holding it and this happens, losing 95 BTC and 120+ LTC is so devastating in your part and with that I can't do anything but let me ask some question that only you can answer to help those other electrum users also just like myself, and other Bitcoin holders that holds theirs with their private keys.

- How many times are you opening your Electrum wallet and LTC wallet in a week or day before it was hacked?
- Beside you who other people got an access into your personal computer?
- Did you open your Electrum wallet to some other computers within those 5 years?
- Did you save your private key online(email, facebook)
- After all those years in cryptocurrency and storing a huge amount of it in a long term why is it the hacker only attacks now?

Maybe you just so confident that you will never be hack but please share some of your possible wrong doings that made before it was done.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia banning BTC? on: October 11, 2017, 02:34:54 PM

There is no way that they can ban totally Bitcoin as the title implies 'Breaking: Russia Will Block Bitcoin Exchange Websites, Says Central Bank Official' they will only ban 'Bitcoin Exchanges' and not Bitcoin itself, this is like what China did if ever this will go through and there no major problem that we must worry in the future as Russians are too smart for them to worry with this kind of news.

'First deputy governor of the Central Bank of Russia' is the one who stated this so there is no something new about this as an another banker again is about to try to regulate the exchanges and flow of Bitcoin in Russia as if that they can stop the growth of Bitcoin in the future, they are just so alarmed to the potential of cryptocurrencies.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any App that generates bitcoin on: October 11, 2017, 02:14:30 PM
Just as it says in the subject. Are there any other apps (browser-based, app based, etc.) that generates bitcoin. The generation rate is irrelevant. Thanks

There is no applications that really produce a free bitcoins nowadays, maybe there is some but they want something in return like advertising an ads or playing a game with your mobile phone and they only pay you a fraction of a bitcoin and that is not worth your time. If you see also mining of cryptocurrencies in your mobile phone then that is not profitable also because mobile phones are not design for mining.

Just take this in mind that there is no easy money wherever you go, if you believe to those websites that says to good to be true words is a sure scam because there is no overnight success in here and in the real world unless you do something illegal that can make other's life miserable.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious topic: how can we be sure Bitcoin will not be banned by most countries? on: October 11, 2017, 02:05:18 PM
Hi,
First of all, I am a holder, and Bitcoin is for me is an investment, I intend to hold for at least 5 years, so the question asked in the topic title is the last thing in the world I want.
That being said, with China, and now this rumor about Russia, I have to ask this question: how do you deal with the possibility that one day Bitcoin could be illegal in most countries?
Is it a possibility?
It is likely/unlikely?

All opinions are welcome.

Regards.

You have a great question for a long term investor,

I think there is no way that a country can totally ban Bitcoin for their citizens to use as there is always a possible way for people to use whatever they want in life so maybe governments will only regulate it by creating a department that will monitor and give taxes to those people who uses it in a daily basis for their work or businesses, Bitcoin is the future of digital currency and banning it will not help instead accepting it with a good laws will make everyone okay.

We all know that Bitcoin is limited to 21,000,000 so by this I am confident that in the next years the price hike is inevitable as the supply is limited.
398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: when do you buy ? on: October 11, 2017, 11:24:59 AM
I see a lot of people talking about when to sell; but I think that buying is as important if not more (obviously you buy* low -_-). so do you guys aim to buy the lowest low of the day/week/month/... and do you think that is riskier and/or hard to predict. do you wait for price reversals? do you follow expert advice?? please share your thoughts and your stories (successful or otherwise Smiley)

There is no person or group of people knows what will happen in the future but they think of the past of what happen and make a study out of it and build their own strategies in when to sell or buy aside from getting information in the news that will really matters because it will affect the flow of ideas.

I think this is the right time to buy most of the Altcoins and some of it are at its lowest as of now because of the upcoming airdrop of the possible fork of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Gold, many altcoin holders really want to get free dollars with that airdrop so it is quite obvious that it is the reason of the slight pumping of price in Bitcoin.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ETH connected with MLM while Bitcoin losing on marketcap share on: October 11, 2017, 11:06:42 AM
As far as I know, ETH is growing at an awful level, in a very short time, its value has increased fivefold. This is terrible, and it is also a great reward for those who have put their trust in ETH. It is popular with everyone, and is more popular than bitcoin. It is hard for me to believe this. I used to have the intention of reserving ETH, but I was delayed, unfortunately, however, currently I can not invest in it, when it is having too much value, I see a lot of risk . I will not risk.

There is a fair reasons why Ethereum goes up in prices because the demand of it is simply risen compare to its supply and we all know that the boom of ICO's happen in the late 2016 up to present, as you said you have an intention back then so that doesn't mean that ETH is not worth of an investment anymore as losing a chance of getting rich makes you hate it.

I wouldn't say it was terrible, but we should always take caution with anything that rises that quickly. It has steadied recently too.

It drastically increased its price compare to the last year's price because of ICO's and the price of it as of now is steady because some ICO's are getting obviously scam and they will adopt proof of stake soon, people tend to be more smarter when it comes to investing with it.
