381  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Starting a Bitcoin Node using a VPS on: February 01, 2024, 10:25:30 AM
Has anybody tried to get or build a node from like Contabo? I saw that it has this Blockchain tab and you could build or possibly have a prebuild VPS for BTC Node.

I'm looking to try and really support BTC this way. What do you think are the benefits of this?
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [New Trading Pair] Automated Trading Challenge - Starting out at $1000 on: February 01, 2024, 09:43:00 AM
Interesting. For now i use kucoin bot as i dont have money to create or subscribe dedicated bot. i wont use xrp anyway, in most time they have small volatility, not really desirable to trade. Changing to eth is good move. And the strategy can also react to different market conditions? very interesting indeed
How is your trading experience with that KuCoin bot? I haven't tried it. I agree that it's a good move because I don't think it can be a good long-term HODL for XRP. I remember the higher-ups there, who holds a lot, sold so many times and I don't think it's ok as an investor to invest in something the devs are selling to.
383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 31, 2024, 04:41:47 PM

For newbies, it's important to understand the reason why you are trading and find the tools that you might be interested in. Gunbot can be one of those tools.
Bots like Gunbot are not for newbies. A bot is there to automatically execute your own, very well-tested strategy. However, I have to work out the strategy and, above all, put it through its paces.

A newcomer to the market thinks that a bot is a money-printing machine and that all he has to do is buy/rent/install it and the profits will start flowing. This is definitely not the case.
There is a learning curve for sure but it's important that after you set it, it's somehow a set-and-forget type of thing. There are supports that would really accommodate helping you set up or something. There's education as well.

That would depend on the seller or something. Someone who promotes a bot that "promises" gains can be a scam. That's not what Gunbot is doing.
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Starting out at $1000 on: January 31, 2024, 04:25:10 PM
After trading for 17 days. I decided to change my trading pair from XRP to ETH. I would love to HODL ETH more than XRP. Since this strategy works in the longer term, I realized that I don't want to have a bag of XRP and rather have a bag of ETH, for the possibility as well of the ETH ETF. I would be using the profits gained from XRP to be traded in ETH now.

Starting Balance: $1016 (I included some dust balance and converted it into FDUSD in Binance)

Ending post for XRP

Same strategy, Quanta-G using Gunbot.

385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 31, 2024, 03:40:59 PM
I think it's not just patience but being able to utilize the full potential of your capital with the right strategy. The most important thing for me is making sure that the management of my money would be able to really succeed. You can't really master it right away. There would be times that it would rise and it would fall but in total, you would still want to be positive in earnings.

For newbies, it's important to understand the reason why you are trading and find the tools that you might be interested in. Gunbot can be one of those tools.
386  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 31, 2024, 03:16:36 PM
A strategy that works in both ways would be ideal. Holding when the market is going down, trading when the market is going up, and then, market making when going on side ways. It's really dependent on how you are handling it and if you could do it automatically why not? A strategy in Gunbot can be done with that. It's been great so far.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: January 30, 2024, 03:28:15 PM
I agree that investment would be a key thing to the survival of the value of your money. It's all about the amount as well in which you are going to save to know the effect of it in the long run. It would be a hard thing to decide where to invest it (but we all know it can be Bitcoin), but it's still best to decide what you won't regret.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: January 30, 2024, 02:48:12 PM
As a member of a family and there is a gambling addict within, which method do you think it's the best to rip off the addict from your family member?
I'm confused with the term rip off. Are you gonna take advantage of him? It's quite confusing. That's usually being used to people who are taken advantage of or something.

You do know that addicts only listen to themselves, even if you effort so much continuously, it will only work if the addict realizes it on his/her own. I hope that happens to the addicted person near you. Make them think for themselves and I believe it will follow.
389  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: January 30, 2024, 07:04:35 AM
I think if those forums are being promoted in a way that is intrusive or using referral links, that's understandable because we all know that it's not that welcome here. But if it's just mentioning, it's a great way to add to conversation or knowledge on the niche of that forum. Maybe someone could add more value to both. If it's okay for them, I think it's okay for this forum as well. It shouldn't really be banned for me.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BRC20 NARRATIVE IS SLOWLY TAKING OVER AS WE BUILD UP TO HALVING on: January 30, 2024, 03:58:11 AM
Can we take advantage of this to make sure we can also benefit from this? I am not that updated now with what’s happening with these events but I want to see how much it would affect the market. All I am seeing are the ordinals stuff not the other stuff. Would there be more to watch out or something?
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are every activities/competitions with stake known to be gambling? on: January 29, 2024, 03:53:13 PM
I quite had a hard time understanding what you were trying to say. I think it's quite long for a simple question.

For me, it's gambling if you have a stake involved because if you have the definition of gambling, it's about involving or wagering something of value. If that something of value is at stake, then that is gambling. It's the intent of multiplying or increasing the value of your stake, whether it's a large sum of money or valuable goods. Mixed with the game of chance, it's definitely equal to gambling.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is nothing like it since the past 12 years on: January 29, 2024, 02:23:13 PM
It's nice to see someone post about their journey even without a steady job, enduring the life of having minimal living conditions, and still managing to secure a better future. There's always going to be a challenge with skepticism and challenges, it's the belief that you can continue and know the potential of how you can improve your life by doing something about it. It's a great story.

Anyone can do it as long as you are doing the right things and making sure that you are committed. Nice OP.
393  Other / Meta / Re: Other Forum members are more civil than Legendary members, Why? on: January 28, 2024, 04:46:52 PM
This and many more are examples of insults and bullying by legendary members to express their point which they feel is better than the points of newbies. I never wanted to remember them , that was why I kept the thread going to see whether others have had the same experience. The thread was actually created for legendary members to also see what others are saying about their behavior then have a change of approach to public discussions. I know I am newbie, I am ready to learn but no through insults and bullying. Thank you for requesting for proof.
In approaching your answers towards the posts of legendary members, it's important to provide facts and not just "saying that this is what's happening" and it's not gonna be taken lightly and understood because there's no evidence.

Let me get this clear OP, you are baiting the Legendary members to post here and use that as the proof? That is the proof that you have? You incited it in the first place and provided zero evidence of what you are talking about and then said along the lines of "told you so" because of the replies.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto arbitrage trading 6-8% profit in one round! on: January 28, 2024, 04:40:08 PM
Yes, of course I can, please write in Telegram and I will show you the reality of the work
I would rather see it in a post here so it is transparent with everyone. It seems like you are trying to hide it.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto arbitrage trading 6-8% profit in one round! on: January 28, 2024, 06:35:45 AM
Cryptocurrency arbitrage is the most effective way to make money on the Internet in 2024. I been successfully finding current working trades for more than 3 years and carrying out profitable transactions with a difference in price.
I work in the field of crypto arbitrage if you are interested in crypto arbitrage, I am ready to share working schemes. My telegram for communication @pasha90x
Can you explain your process and how you do it? Arbitrage is a surefire way to profit but doing it so fast would probably require tools. It's going to be pretty slow if you're going to do it manually.

Can you elaborate on that and show some results of it here?
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 04:51:40 AM
I think you already answered your question with yourself knowing that it could lead to that. You have heard of bad behaviours that occurred. That’s definitely one of the reasons that could lead to violence. Any kind of violence I think is considered to be a problem and the root cause could be that addiction.

Addicts have a tendency to be desperate to get money and gamble it. That is for sure.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 27, 2024, 05:17:33 PM
The rush probably is caused by a lot of things. Still, the first thing that came into my mind is because of the world we live in now, the instant gratification that is being shown to different people starting from a young age and has been a factor towards anyone that want to have fast results. It's mostly like that in terms of the "rush" and taking time isn't being practiced anymore.

Additionally, more factors that people probably have
  • Other people within the crypto space show the opportunities of earning. They see people having intense profits from crypto and they probably think they can replicate that
  • The quick wealth type of thing is possible and it changed the mindset of some people
  • They feel FOMO with their peers

I agree that education is an important thing when trying to do anything, especially when trying to make a profit. It's best to be knowledgeable.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Can Explain What This Guy is Saying About Bitcoin On Reddit? on: January 27, 2024, 04:46:19 PM

Believe it or not, I've been in the crypto industry for a few years, but I've never heard of anyone in the crypto space who guessed at least two words in its seed and had access. What trip is this? You are making the subject simple, but you are making it complicated.

Remember, no one can guess the seed phrase of other holders unless you tell someone else or you neglect to save it somewhere; then the one who sees it has an idea about crypto.
The poster in Reddit definitely meant that as a joke I believe. You need to think about it. I can guess any random word and phrase and show a wallet but for sure it wouldn't have any transaction because it's really impossible to open someone who has one because of the chances.

I could do that as well, just get 12 phrase words can be put onto that software but the chances of you guessing one that has transactions is very very low.
399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 27, 2024, 12:04:04 PM
Wouldn’t it be always the best time? You would not really know how or when is the right time to buy because the market can’t be predicted unless some obvious factor manipulates it or something. We wouldn’t know that but it is one of the things that could for sure affect the price.

Personally it wouldn’t be a question if you believe in the asset that you have. Just buy and Hodl lol.
400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I succeed as a trader in 2024 on: January 27, 2024, 06:14:23 AM
Personally, I would recommend trading continuously in the market and having a strategy that would adapt to certain kinds of markets whether you need to HODL, Sell, or just wait or something. I am currently using Gunbot for my trading and it's a set-and-forget type of thing and this is the post that I have done. Maybe you could try it or something.
