Let's get this football party going!
It is finally coming back into action for all leagues this weekend so get ready.
There are a couple of pools to join up for sportsbet.io below to get more enjoyment into watching your favorite teams taking it onto the pitch for another exciting season in the EPL/La Liga/Serie A:

It seems like we are getting to respectable numbers again, can't wait for new season to start Smiley

I see some new faces here so maybe you guys don't know that we also have pools for La Liga and Serie A. By new I mean users who are not spending a lot of time in gambling sections.

If you are interested, main sponsor is also Sportsbet and we have some nice prizes:
⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread
⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread

They are well worth the price of admission with the free bet prizes given out by sportsbet.
See you there!
3802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: August 11, 2021, 10:01:10 AM
Not too sure if doing a martingale strategy would work for the UFC.
Have never tried if but it you were to try, then it would need to be on selective matches and not on every single match one right after the other.
Where I have found success is betting on the favorites for the match right before the main event and underdogs for the main event.
As you can see this strategy did not for the last UFC. But can be better for the fight nights as the judge's decision usually dictate how those fights go and not how good the fighter actually is.

Bump!
Send my sign up fee yesterday. Serie A will start week later than other top leagues, so we still have enough time to get participants. I haven't checked, how many users paid for La Liga and Serie A pool so far? I hope that we will get at least 10 participants. But 15 or more would be more fun obviously Smiley.
Here are paid users for Serie A:
buwaytress
icopress
Trofo
morvillz7z
darxiaomi
LTU_btc

I have one more that said he will play, and later today I will send some PMs to regulars. Will update the OP here and in La Liga thread in next couple of hours so it will be more transparent. Should be 10, I am hoping for 15 as well.

Edit: 7 paid so far, sent some PMs and I have 3 more which should be certain so 11 is a minimum. 15 should be achievable. About the same for La Liga, seems like there will be one more player there.
On my way to pay for this one and the la liga pool. So if I don't post on there then this is the one and only for me joining on the two pools.

Hey guys, I decided to go this season with both these other pools, even though I am really really bad at Italian football then again I thought I was good at La Liga but I finished badly too. And yes, buway, thanks for pressuring me:P

I have made the payment for this now, I will PM Trofo in one message for both if that's okay?
Going to do the same so to keep those pm(s) to a minimum.
Less fuzz no muss as the saying goes!

Lewis is a force of nature in my opinion. If he gets close to you , you can get knock out , if you get close to him you can get K.O too ,so even if Ciryl has the movement and necessary skills to fight all rounds I still can't see him winning tonight. This fight might surprise a lot of us but Dana White really likes Ciryl so yea ...tricky fight after all but I still back up Lewis.

The odds are very attractive too as we're talking around 3.65 odds.
Post fight discussion

The odds on Lewis to win were so enticing that someone bet $6k on him to win from the flashing tweets shown just before and during the fights.
Those odds were just hours before hand from many odds providers.
I got them at 3.90x but that was roughly 5-6 hours before so they were nicer.
But as we all know he got KO'd pretty decisely in the third round.

3807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 08, 2021, 04:49:00 PM
By the way, is it official for Messi to move to PSG? I didn't find 1 valid news about this, it's just that according to Laporta reports Messi has officially joined, and also when I searched for Messi on Wikipedia, Messi has officially joined PSG.
If it is on wikipedia then you know it is true. Cheesy

Just watching the Messi interview which was streamed live 6 hours ago.
It is a sad moment in history watching one of the greatest players to grace the game leaving the club which he loved so much. He  tried his best to stay there by reducing his salary by 50% which is huge amount by any standard.
He did clarify things (rumors) which were going around so it is best to come from him directly.
I also think he'll be going to PSG as well, from the points you just mentioned about wanting to surpass the 45th trophy mark and having seen Neymar his former teammate going there. Maybe he will want to rekindle this dynamic duoship once more time.
3808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +68437 units on: August 08, 2021, 03:16:20 PM
Anyway, easy for me today to go against City on Community Shield, and tack that on to an opening day loss to Spurs, because hey, Nuno loves a win against City doesn't he?
100 units at Sportsbet on Leicester and Spurs to both beat City @22.04. Other odds: 21.45

Nice, late penalty from Leicester to book the first leg of our acca, but I have to say, not able to beat a weakened City playing 4-3-3 isn't a good sign. But it's a prize friendly, so let's not look too much into it. Spurs will be the real test!
Real test passed.
Great start for the brand new season of your betting venture.
Not sure what your target is for each season as I only just began following a couple of weeks ago but getting a 22x on the first one is a promising one for how the rest of your selections are viewed going forward.

Best of luck to you on the next parlay.
3809  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: August 08, 2021, 03:03:45 PM
Regarding Messi, you know what, I think he’ll stay at Barca. They’ll cut some deal after tough negotiations for him to stay. I think there is some legal mumbo jumbo with La Liga chiefs about how much wages are allowed to be paid & the debt Barca are allowed to be in. It’s complicated but I think all parties need to some extent, Messi to stay in La Liga for various reasons.

Maybe I’m just a deluded romanticist & hope he’ll stay at the club he’s been at since he was such a young boy.
He’ll probably end up at PSG, won’t he haha.

Anybody betting on the Community Shield tomorrow, Man City vs Leicester. I’m rooting for Leicester but Man City will probably win. Share your bets if you are going to lump on Smiley
I believe so. He wants to stay, club wants him to stay. This is just some tantrum throwing to show La Liga if they punish Barca, the whole league loses Messi. It would be truly awful for him to leave not on his terms.

Community Shield? Easy. I parlayed Leicester with Spurs opening day win against Citeh;) Easy 22/1!

Oh and guys, EPL specials are up. I couldn't miss this super tasty special:

Must be a record for these promotional offers as I thought the 200+ odd ones were the limit. But I think 400+ breaks them all. Wink
Unfortunately I missed the 433x promotion by 15 minutes while waiting for my satoshis to arrive into my sportsbet wallet yesterday.
Should of put a bit more on the transaction fee then I would be in the fold too.

Also in bigger news:

Tottenham made it happen for you after keeping the ball in the gunners end for the remainder of the match going into extra time to solidify the win.
Congrats on the bet as your selections on the underdogs won two days in a row for English league play.
3810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Marvel gets into the NFT marketplace by releasing their first with Spiderman on: August 08, 2021, 02:51:31 PM
Just read up a bit more on nfts and how they operate on their own blockchain(s).
And while they did work on the ethereum blockchain (so the move to altcoin section was the correct move of the topic) they are starting to migrate to their native token's chains dependent on the companies own offerings.

Here is a helpful article for those who are also not so knowledgeable as myself in this burgeoning new field in the non-fungible token marketplace:

3811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some recent tweets by Elon Musk showing he is starting to warm up to Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2021, 02:42:52 PM
It is very much true the guy knows about money and how to create companies that can build on the other one.
No denying this well known fact and can't blame him for doing this.
Just searching on the non-fungible token craze going in full boar lately, had brushed past this article about his rap song debut some time ago.
https://nypost.com/2021/03/17/elon-musk-passes-on-1-million-offer-for-his-nft-techno-song
I knew about the nft released at the beginning of the year, yet didn't follow up on if he sold it.
He passed up on a million dollar offer on it from an owner of an exchange back in April.
I guess he is just so rich he doesn't need the money for his own creations anymore. Cheesy

Final match in the WePlay tournament today to end it, then we can get back to normal with the big professional teams starting tomorrow.
Fnatic rising seem like the favorites before but now it is Navi in these match up. So we will see later on today.

3813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Marvel gets into the NFT marketplace by releasing their first with Spiderman on: August 08, 2021, 12:44:36 PM
This was going to happen sooner or later with the sudden release of those cartoon episodes only available via nft by Mila Kunis & Adam Kutcher (also Vitalk Buterin Cheesy).

With the nft market going higher and higher it seems day by day with one selling for well over $5 million usd with an ape used as an avatar, this isn't going away anytime soon with so much interest involved.

So Marvel unveiled it will be releasing their first iteration of their own nft hitting the markets during this month with your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman.
https://www.marvel.com/articles/gear/spider-man-veve-digital-collectibles-nft

source: https://decrypt.co/77796/marvel-unveils-first-official-nfts-spider-man

Where do you think this whole nft thing will be going from here?
I know your able to have the opinion to purchase land in a virtual world for some big money but is it just like any other collectables niche market, where those are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them?
Or is there something more to it since they are all mostly running on separate platforms from their own respective blockchains.

^^
Your bet on Leicester city to beat manchester city in the shield cup was a good prediction.
Congrats on the 1st half of the bet you had mentioned about on the Ann thread.

Here are some shots for those who somehow missed the match (well the end atleast Wink):
Iheanacho the one who scored the lone and winning goal via a penalty kick.

Him and Daka make a formidable duo.

Seeing this team win the EPL, FA Cup and now the Community Shield is saying something.

Club Talk radio announcers David and Gavin did an astounding job on the play by play once again.
Looking forward to hearing them call the next match for the start of the EPL season starting August 13th.
See you all there! Wink

Eddie the owner just read your post live for his weekend race literally 5 minutes ago.
Steve, the vip host/co-host on the livestreams, responded saying "The user is a scammer".

So there you are, I don't think they will be settling this amount for you.
You can watch the replay of what they said about it for about a minute and even showing this thread on their twitch stream.
Sorry for your loss.
I am just notifying you what was said and not judging anyone on here as I have not and will not be reading anymore of this thread.

WePlay tournament is showing just the one match available to bet on so far:
That match is close to a coinflip but i'm leaning on VP.Prodigy since they have the slightly better odds and both of them don't look that great.
The odds have changed in Astralis Talent's favor last I looked from last night. They were nearly even but now @1.76x they look to be the favorites in these semis.
I'll put my few litoshis on them to win this and then go on to face Fnatic rising in the finals. Wink
The tournament has only today (in the next 1.5 hours) and tomorrow left, so pick your favorite amateur team to win here:

3818  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FTX exchange offering bitcoin in their partnership with the MLB on: August 07, 2021, 12:08:58 PM
FTX is going places, I will tell you that much. Since Binance earlier last year went on ahead and got into crazy partnerships and dealerships like acquiring coinmarketcap, and what not; FTX is starting to do the same.

FTX made a 210 Million Dollar deal with a eSports Org; TSM just for naming rights, so that the Org would promote themselves as TSM FTX[1] and AND not only that, they also partnered with LCS[2], and now with MLB.

What FTX is doing is the total opposite of what Binance did, they are tapping into areas where there is no involvement of Crypto. They are trying to bring in people who have never heard of Binance and but also want to get into crypto- sort of what coinbase is doing too. And its working for them. FTX is growing crazily in popularity amidst people who don't know cowshit about crypto.

[2]https://esportsinsider.com/2021/08/ftx-lcs-crypto/

These are some good points and now have some sources to find out more about FX.
Thanks for these pugman! Smiley

Here is some advertisement of theirs I only noticed a week or so ago on a cryptocurrency price evaluation site not being coinmarketcap:

So you know they are extending out to a wider audience with such adverts towards crypto enthusiasts.

While watching a baseball game the other day managed to screen cap the logo that first got me questioning about their trading platform:

It is very prominent when an umpire is wearing a company logo which you never would have noticed before.
Since their uniform shirts are normally completely black with only an MLB association badge on the exposed area to the audience.

And as mk4 has already mentioned, they are the first exchange to actively do this towards the gaming industry.
I know I love me some CS:GO skins! Wink
3819  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase starts accepting AppleGoogle pay to buy crypto-Start of global trnsfrs? on: August 07, 2021, 11:16:15 AM
well after xiaomi that i post yesterday this gonna be next big things maybe ATH soon  Grin Grin Grin

to be honest i need google pay because in my country majority using android and i hope this soon happen on all the globe not in single or two country
That is a step in the right direction towards mass adoption if not through amazon then with manufacturers such as xiaomi, recognizing it as a means of accepting payment for their products and in a country where the crypto tax laws are highly in favor of the recipient using these type of transactions are very encouraging for more companies to do so in the future.

I don't see how it's "big news" if buying crypto on centralized exchanges has always been easy with Visa/Mastercard transactions that are done with a few clicks and process quite fast. If Coinbase allowed some sort of buying Bitcoin without registration, that would be quite a big deal, because registering on exchange and passing KYC is a step that turns away a lot of potential buyers, but we all know it's not gonna happen because of regulations.

It is obvious if you are the only one who does not see it.
Instant cash out of $100,000 with use of a platform(s) that is used globally.
Exchanges take 2-5 business days to do a highly limited amount in a single transaction.
You would need to atleast two at the major exchange to receive this amount sent to one's bank account.
This term they use are to 'clear' them with those receiving banks for admittance and that the funds being transacted are correct and/or not fraudulent.

The only question there should be is this:
How different is this from what paypal have been trying to do and will they somehow step up to out do what coinbase has done for a step closer for the adoption of crypto into the mainstream of society?

People on the livefeed I am watching are saying the new resistance is $42,690.
Can see this being broken within the next leg up.
Could be.  Could be.

If resistance is broken towards the UPpity and if we get above $46k, then I am going to start to feel (and maybe even proclaim with confidence of greater than 50/50.. perhaps around 58.43249/41.56751) that "the bottom is in."
Well it surpassed that resistance of $42,690 an hour ago and even put $1000 over it to top up at $44k for a hot second. Cheesy

I am certain it was those whales buying up on the news about google pay via coinbase.
How does that saying go? Well the opposite really.
Buy the rumor sell at the top? Grin

What do you mean "most people don't realize he's a troll" every one in here knows that, the only ones that doesn't are people who are new to the thread, and they are quickly told that he's just a troll, but an old one who belongs here, so let him do his thing.
