Not the shipping story again...I thought we had this one month ago too...

I think I have every right to be upset with them for failing to deliver on the terms they advertised in huge print.

Remember that you also get ~130GH/s more for less than 5 days late? C'mon...

another fraudulent venture.

will accept bets to contrary (on escrow) for those that want to put money where their mouth is

What's so fraudulent in this venture? They said that first run will be funded with their own funds. No preorders, no gimmick.  How sure are you? Willing to offer 50:1 on bets?

Wow, this Roadstress guy sure is a gullible idiot.  I wonder how much he paid out at 50:1?

 Grin Grin Grin

And yet, he still has the gall to accuse HashFast of being a scam.   Roll Eyes

It seems that i just found myself in a very funny situation. I just lurk this Mining forum and ask questions and now people are attacking me. I saw it happen before to other people, but i never thought it would happen to me. There was a time when i thought 'Orama went crazy because of the lack of sleep (joking) when he was saying that people just start attacking him out of nowhere, but it seems that i lived the day to see it happen to me too.

What's so idiotic on my post? It was on the fifth page of a thread where the company says they will fund themselves with their own funds and also no preorders and no gimmiks.Hard to scam someone there if you fund yourself and you don't ask money for anything. At least that's how i see it. If you carefully read the first pages up to my post you will see that everything seems legit and i really believed in them and hoped that they succeed so that we can have more options for ordering ASICs.Back then the market wasn't so big as it it now and besides crappy Avalon there was nobody else shipping then if i remember correctly. The moment they started to ask for money for preorders and then started the Securies thread (started on 27 July over a month away from my post)  which i wasn't aware for a long time then that it was obvious there is something fishy with them. Actually after they started the Securities thread the posting from this thread stopped and in September i was pointing out that there is a problem with them. I haven't invested in them because it was a no-brainer that this is fishy.

The bet was obviously rulling out any preorder and any form of money upfront without any proof of working chips so thank you for proving yourself a retard and thank you for praising crappy HashFast. Inaba 2.0!

Edit: I might have said something similar in the xCrowd thread. Go ahead and spend your time reading all the posts and revive that thread. You can do it!
3824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 30, 2013, 02:52:00 PM
People that say buy BTC not miners just want the difficulty to stay low so that they can mine more BTC. Holding BTC has it's own stress. Friend of mine purchased $20k of BTC when it was near its high during the summer. He then panicked when it dropped below $80 and sold. Unless you have a crystal ball that can predict the future, you are better off buying mining equipment.

Unless your friend really needed the money invested in BTC then he is a big moron. There was no reason to sell at 80$ or even at 10$. He could just hold the BTC for 1-2-5-10 years until the price was right for him. There is simply no explanation for his move only the urgent need of money.
3825  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow announces 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.49/Ghash on: November 30, 2013, 02:13:17 PM
Blackarrow asking customers if they will accept delay for switch to 20nm;

http://ecointalk.net/topic/289-20nm-or-28nm/

Quote
2. We will need to redo the whole backend (transistor placing and routing) of the chip which takes 2-3 months. This means that 20nm cannot be shipped by end of February. If not all our customers are switching to 20nm we will need to continue with 28 nm as well (which we intend to do as it is the safest way)

I propose that we should change the name from "Custom hardware" to "Delay fest"!

I don t want to convince you if you are enough dumb to not being able to understand the opportunity of this ,it has taken time and money to arrive to this and i don t want smartass and big mouth to be part of this.
...
but you are too DUMB to understand this.....

... Good luck gaining investors carrying on like this Sad

This and the next "ARE U MORE DUMB THAN DUMB?" just made me move away about this venture. I was really considering investing into this, but not anymore. I wish you good luck papamoi and welcome to the BFL club.

ok

i ve put the first in my ignore list as promised

roadstress ,

as said we ll get chips specs etc for pcb expert of the forum to start work on it

also as said in a week or so we ll get some test chips where we would be able to see how chip is performing

so please be patient

thanks

Ok i can wait for test chips and we can discuss more after i see them performing, but until then this is a big no no for me.
3827  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: November 30, 2013, 02:00:23 PM
We'd like to take a moment to address sharpspoon's concerns:

<lots of blah blah>

Where are the chips? Where are the PCBs? When will you ship?

It's so interesting to see that cointerra bothered to post such a long and useless reply when a forum member pointed out that there are some communication issues, but doesn't bother to post any updates regarding the miners and regarding the Travel Agency at their location: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=350732.msg3775367#msg3775367

Care to reply to that cointerra?
3828  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 30, 2013, 01:43:58 PM
BTW, why are you only counting 5 vendors? There is HF, KnC, CT, BFL, Bitmine, ActMiner, Black Arrow, AsicMiner, and probably Bitfury, Avalon. Thats 10; and i may be forgetting some or not knowing about them.

The only vendors who actually have 28nm 3rd gen chips finished are HashFast and KnC.

The rest are either vaporware or obsolete ( Cheesy  and both in the case of ActM  Cheesy).

I never saw chips from HashFast so i think it's safe to say they are vaporware too. Stop the bullshit. We only saw a picture of HF CEO holding a silver bag in his hands.

Edit: And HashFast isn't 3rd gen lol. It's 0 gen!
3829  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: November 30, 2013, 01:28:57 PM
Hey RS, have you noticed we registered here on the same day?

You beat me by a few hours, so I guess I must defer to your seniority and accept your judgement.

I was referring to the picture of the PCB, not the airflow test mock-up, BTW.
The Negative Nancy who said that's all he saw was either being intentionally dishonest or honestly obtuse.   Tongue

There is a difference between "picture" and 'photograph.'

All three pictures are pictures; the first two are the kind of picture we call a 'photograph.'

I don't want anyone to respect my seniority, but i dislike when people take me as stupid or idiot. And when you are praising HF with their stupid pcb schematics (still not one single picture/photo of a real PCB) when they are already late it makes me think that for you i'm just an idiot.

With the second quote you are slowly moving towards retard Inaba style. It's something you choose, nobody is forcing you. I wonder what will you say when HF will fail their 31 December deadline. What arguments will you find then because i'm sure you will do just like retard Inaba always does.
3830  Other / Archival / Re: PAPA ASIC NEED FUNDING PLEASE PARTICIPATE on: November 29, 2013, 10:34:59 PM
If there's a PCB design available for the chips. I'd be interested.

P.S. Need JohnK to post here to verify your identity.

Yes i want a PCB design first or at least some kind of guarantee that you can do 70 populated pcbs at 1.5-2.5 btc.
3831  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 29, 2013, 01:51:26 AM
HEY U GUYZ, ACTIVEMINING IS BEING SUPER SECRETIVE SO COMPANIES LIKE U DONT LERN ANYTHING FROM OUR OPERASHUNS.  KEN MIGHT HAVE 100TH/S RUNNING RIGHT NOW BUT DOESNT WWANT U TO FIND OUT CAUSE IT MIGHT GIVE U AN EDGE.  FUCK WE R AWESUM.  BTW CAN ANYONE LEND ME 2 DOLLARZ?

Everything about NDAken makes me laugh.
3832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 29, 2013, 12:27:03 AM
Will someone explain me why at over 30% increase in price in the last 7 days at bitstamp and over 50% increase at mtgox people are still selling big time? What's the logic there? Why not hold?
3833  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast launches sales of the Baby Jet on: November 29, 2013, 12:09:51 AM
All I see is some parts from newegg.com. A piece of aluminum. And some Legos painted black.

You should also be able to see the GIANT picture of the PCB and a video of the airflow test too.

Wait, there's something in your eye.  Remove the jaundice and you'll then be able to observe what's plain to the rest of us.   Roll Eyes

That's a MOCK pcb retard. M-O-C-K! Why is it black if it's reeel?

So after receiving their substrate they post this lousy marketing/PR video? I was so damn right when i said HF is the new BFL. Hello sock-puppet btw!
3834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 28, 2013, 10:22:39 PM
I wonder if the 10% off BTC feature will be in effect for the 12500 pricepoint......

That would mean that all previous customers got no other advantage except being able to order first, which would be sad. I don't think KnC will go for that. Better have 10% reduction for previous customers than for new ones.
3835  Other / Archival / Re: PAPA ASIC NEED FUNDING PLEASE PARTICIPATE on: November 28, 2013, 10:21:04 PM
for people who are wondering about pcb costs and all

you can find some open source pcb made by forum s guys and you can estimate roughly that it ll be the same as the chip tech is roughly the same

as far as i know the maximum you would spend on the pcb would be the same as the chips costs meaning 1.5 btc for all your chips.

this would be adjust of course later on

I am a bit interested in this, but saying that all pcbs for 1400 chips will cost 1.5 btc seems very unreal to me. Ok i pay 1.5 btc for 1400 chips, but i think the pcbs will cost a lot more than that. burnin's cost was around 100 euro per board for Avalon chips. Considering that there were 20 chips per pcb that means i will need 70 boards that will cost me ~7000 euros. Let's drop the price a bit and make it 5000 euros, it's still more than 1.5 btc. With all the respect to your work, but it's simply very hard for someone to plan things ahead.
are u sure that it was  his Costs price?as we intend to sell it at costs no margin for me

Why would he create boards at cost price for me? Maybe i didn't understand your post about pcbs. Are you saying that you will provide boards for chips for 1.5 btc or how do you think that it's possible to populate 1400 chips?
3836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 28, 2013, 09:36:47 PM
Anyone else noticed the lower temperatures of this batch? I'm getting: 45, 57, 59, 40 degrees.

Y'all realize that constantly bumping the thread is free advertising for hashfast, right? Smiley

More KnC for the rest of us!

It's not. The last 100 pages are all against them.

If it worked/still works for BFL then they got nothing to lose.

Can you point your miner to my poolworker for some hours? Grin Grin Grin Grin

Post pool and worker/pass.

https://github.com/KnCMiner/meta-kncminer/commit/daf4525e6e8d446c091418ce41a886c514762443

they are using Ericsson DC/DC modules. That's why the firmaware is called 0.99-E

I thought i see a known logo but i was too anxious powering it up. Ericsson 1 - GE 0.

Is there any way to dump the firmware to a file?

No idea. If someone else points me to it i would gladly do it.
3840  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 28, 2013, 12:28:42 AM
You have absolutely nothing better to do and just hang around all day on the forums?

Asking this when you already know that cedivad is a worried customer of HF who doesn't bother to post any updates make you a bad intended person (i could say that it moves you to either idiot or paid shill, but today i'm happy). I wish you invest a lot of money into something then not hear anything at all from the company so that you can feel and understand other people's problems.
