This is the first time I considered a panic sell.  But I will go to sleep instead. Part and parcel of altcurrencies I'm afraid. Knowing when to hold and when to fold is the hardest part. I won't tell anyone what to do with their Cat. Just out of spite I'm determined to prove people wrong, though. Nobody should ever claim they know how it'll play out. The ones that shout the loudest usually have the least to say. Use your own judgement.  |

If that's true, that changes everything. Catcoin had no reason to stay at only ~500k dollars market cap except for the total absence of mining profitability. The community did a lot more work than a lot of others crypto that has triple the market cap or even a lot more. Right, can someone nag the dev and get him to make this official in the first post? Get a thread announcing this if it's legit? I'm off to bed now. What a drama.  |

I'm not aware the dev has. I've spoken to him about it, and he seems willing to go ahead, but nothing official has been announced that I'm aware of. Also; I wouldn't want to say Forking The Cat out loud in public. It may be misconstrued. Where the hell is the dev in all of this anyway? He doesn't seem too interested in the future of this coin. His house recently got burgled. I think real life events have had to, understandably, take precedence. |

As I said, and I'll say it once more to be clear; if the market rate drops, FUD, market manipulation and BS aside, then the coin is probably going to get forked and all the problems the coin has will be resolved. If the coin bounces back on its own, then there will be no need to, but either way this coin is here to stay, no matter how much people want to bad mouth it.

Right now we're trying to analyse something that by merely analysing we may in fact be altering. If you ask me, most of the loud folks who rushed the forking and most of those who had <=0.006 buy orders on exchanges are the same people.  Hard to say. It's a bit of a mess now, to be honest. Best just to see how things go for a few days. Everything panicking left right and centre and it's a total FUD storm in here. Few days. Let things calm down, and then we react. Not when we may very well be messing up the results we're trying to make decisions on. |

Personally... i am fine with not getting on an exchange right now... difficulty is low so am stocking up on meows..
Also the wallet hasn't been updated yet, right? so i wouldn't suggest we try an exchange till that's settled..and that likely wont be settled till we get the LOGO contest down..
I would however advice a Viral Campaign immediately after the wallet update.. on the par of and beyond doge.. a viral campaign with a reefer smoking cat will fail.. doge was cute.. so it pretty much was accessible to everyone and anyone..
I agree, promotion is key, we need to get the logo decided first. I will happily donate some MEOW to promotion campaigns. MEOW vs. CAT debate is over . . .
