My Mac wallet has been 'Out of Sync' for the past many days.
Is it just me or is anybody else also experiencing this?
My Windows wallet syncs and stakes just fine. Has a lot of connections too... Do you have connections? How many? btw what does connection means ?? does it mean the number of people who are opening their wallet atm ? during my first 4 or 5 days I was only getting 1 active connection , but after that I started to see 10 and more active connections also when there is only 1 connection my wallet can't keep up to date with the blocks , I had to close it and open it in order to be updated but when there is 5 or more connections life is really easier my wallet is always up to date with the blockchain and staking is working really great now it's showing only 1 active connection  |

but let's face it all the places I know that accept alts accept bitcoins too , but not all the places or sites that accept bitcoin accept alts
So in my opinion so far there is no point in using alts

Here is the story: My dad just found out that I am storing bitcoin and he try to prevent me from using this crypto. This is absolutely the worst situation I have ever had since I started used Bitcoin. I am living in the country which bad guys abuse Bitcoin for illegal activities. Therefore, most of the people here who do not have a proper knowledge about bitcoin believe bitcoin as a stupid, dummy coin or even MLM. My dad is one of them. Any solution to solve this problem ? It is quite hard though because I am still a teenager so it is extremely difficult to persuade him

as franky stated you should point out the positives about bitcoin and this may change your dad's opinion but I'm curious if you have a work or you still getting your money from your parents , cause if you are still getting your money from your dad then you shouldn't use bitcoin if he doesn't agree at the end of the day even if bitcoin is being used 100% for good activities there is always the price factor , and your father maybe thinks that you are kinda gambling the money that he gives you |

I used to check it in the past but now I'm not even bothering , there is only one alt that I care about and my aim is to make more btc by using that alt in general I'm subscribed to many youtube channels , and when there is a new alt or project coming on they usually highlight it so no need to keep checking the forums with 99.99999% shitcoins |

obviously it's bitcoin , I'm not sure why 22% went for ETH especially that's we are talking about investing but as someone stated above they shouldn't put BTC and ETH , they could select another one ETH suffered a lot this year , and the whole total supply thing makes it a bad investment in my opinion I would rather pick DOGE |

for me bitcoin means all my online wealth , so for sure I'm using it for good and growing it
and also you should define what good is , cause some people may consider gambling bad but I don't agree with that

for me the adoption , my btc worth zero in my country cause no one is using it
in general most of my problems aren't related to btc , it's more to do with my country cause we don't have visa , master , paypal , neteller , payza ...etc they all don't offer services for my country
so I can't use my bitcoins in my real life and also I can't exchange them , but hopefully this will change in the next year or so

Every time I go to the bank I like to ask them if they have heard of BTC, most of the time the answer is no.
I do ask a lot of people about BTC.. a restaurant near me.. near ish use to accept it as well, I asked to pay with it, they said it no longer exists.. .... ...
Most people I find still have zero idea what BTC is unless they are friends with the likes of us.. I don't think we are even in early adoption stage.. we are in "the chasm" .. it would appear we are going to survive though... appear anyways..

Pretty much everyone that has heard of it assumes it's worth like 5 cents and shits themselves when I say it's $1k (Cad) .. we are in very interesting times with BTC.
yeah I agree with you , there are many people who have no idea about bitcoin in some cases even countries don't have idea at all , literally I don't know anyone in my country who is using bitcoin except me I didn't buy bitcoin , I built my bitcoins online from zero and I'm now kinda satisfied so yeah at this stage it's not even early adoption |

If you receive your coins to your wallet in one big transaction, then your coins will stake earlier. But that doesn't change much, as during the first stake they will split themselves to two equal parts (they are called "inputs"), as if you sent the coins to your wallet in two transactions instead of one. After your two inputs stake, they will divide themselves into two parts again, so you will have 4 inputs. And so on, until wallet decides (lets don't go into details on how it will decide that), the coins (inputs) should not be split anymore. So, regardless of whether you transmitted the coins to your wallet in one single transaction, on in several small ones, after few days, you will have the same situation - plenty of smaller inputs, which are staking from time to time. An one more thing - the rewards will be the same in the long run, regardless of how many inputs do you have in your wallets. You will stake 5% per annum, one way or another thanks a lot for responding , I was about to combine all the txs in one but I found that someone replied to my question not sure why I found that advice while I was trying to understand POS , much appreciated my friend and thanks for your time |
