4585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: November 04, 2015, 10:25:07 AM
If Gambling was not introduced then many people have to do the hard work for earning money.

lol even now professional gamblers and casinos are living from people who are making money from something else
recreational players ( people who gamble but have other job ) are the main part in poker sites , they are the ones who are pushing fresh money to the market
so without people who work hard to earn money you will see all gambling sites and poker rooms  dead
4586  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you calculate before deciding to Fold or Call? on: November 04, 2015, 02:05:54 AM
You should have a good idea of what your odds are that you can win or not.  Now nothing is for sure in poker because anything can happen, but if you have say a 50% chance to win, and you have invested a lot of money in there it might be worth it to call depending on how much they raise.

50% chance to win is just a coin flip. Do you invest large ammounts of money in coin flips?
That's one of the problems in poker, people don't really compare the "pot odds" (what you need to invest) with the "game odds" (your chances of winning that hand). If the pot has 5BTC and you need to invest 6 BTC, in order to play, and your game odds are just 50%, then you should just fold, because it wont be profitable in the long run.

I might have just 20% of chances to win, if the pot offers me a 50% profit return I will stay there.
You really must compate pot odds with game odds, it does not matter if you have a high chance of winning or not, it only matter if it profitable in the long run or not.

I'm sorry mate but your example is kind wrong , when the pot has 5 BTC it's impossible to invest 6 btc
I guess you meant when the pot has 5 btc and someone raise 6 btc then you are investing 6 btc to win 11 btc not 5 btc
so right now you are getting 11 to 6 and the odds are not 50%
4587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker strategy! on: November 04, 2015, 02:01:34 AM
discussing general strategy is impossible cause each game has its own strategy , but the main thing is aggression
in all games aggression is the best way to play , all successful players have one common thing that they are all aggressive
but the general strategy depends on the games like is it MTT , SNG or cash ...etc
4588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes people so addicted to gambling? on: November 04, 2015, 01:57:30 AM
when we talk about addiction there are many things should be considered , most of people get addicted cause they are trying to be rich quick
but in my opinion most of them are addicted because of the competition part and sometimes just to brag that they won couple thousands  Grin

we should not forget that there are many people who are addicted to video games or agar for example  Grin
addiction is really complicated to discuss
4589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much you have lost in gambling? on: November 04, 2015, 01:51:35 AM
I've earned $12 in btc for the first time and lost it all thru dice lol. I thought I could win.

hell, that's all? no worries, move along son. Wink
If he is from Bangladesh or some other poor country he could live for $12 for whole month. That amount is really big in some parts of the world.
And again if you are rich person losing even $10.000 on your gambling adventures is nothing. So it depends.

Personally I am low roller and I gamble mainly for fun, so I don't lose much couple dollars at bests.

that's really a good point , in my country the average income now is 50$ monthly cause we are in war and our currency is moving down when we compare it with USD
thanks god I found bitcoins and I learned about poker , I'm making more than both of my parents and I'm still 20 years old and studying medicine
so yes the average income in the country is a main thing to consider when we talk about winning or losing
4590  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which gambling site has Lucky 9? on: November 03, 2015, 11:43:45 AM
I have never heard about this game but I tried to google bitcoin sites that offers this game and couldn't find any one
if this game has more popularity I guess we will find more btc sites offering it
4591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: November 03, 2015, 11:39:34 AM
There is no safe methods of gambling the moment you bet an amount of money you are risking it . Its like 50-50 kinda situation . The main part is gambling never guarantees you win every time no matter at what winchance or probability you are playing.

it's never 50/50 and it will never be like that , most of the games is like 47/53 or 49.5/50.5 , it's always risky in the long run
but poker players and sports bettors can get more edge , they can turn the gambling part into a sure profit in the long term
4592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there a difference between buying shares in the stock exchange and gambling? on: November 02, 2015, 02:42:28 AM
I don't know much about stocks trading but for sure it's way better than gambling on random stuffs
there are some experts who are making good money from it but for sure the person should know what he is doing
4593  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much profit have you made from Gambling? on: October 31, 2015, 06:49:37 AM
here is my sharkscope graph , it only involves game played on the Winning Poker Network
there is also some winning from bitcoin sites such as Betcoin , SWC and luckyflop ... etc

4594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how much gambling will impact on full time gamblers family? on: October 31, 2015, 06:29:19 AM
for sure it has a huge impact , if we assume that this gambler is making money from gambling we shouldn't forget that he is spending time on gambling and this time should be spent with family
if it's about poker  then married poker players organize their time well with a full schedule  cause basically they are playing poker for a living so the family should consider the father or the son at his work when he is playing
4595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: October 31, 2015, 06:25:51 AM
try to develop your poker skills , this will pay a lot in the future cause it's the only profitable game that you can put money at
also you can buy sports tips from a good tipster who has a good history , this may help you to make money by gambling
4596  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loosing Streaks on: October 31, 2015, 06:21:51 AM
don't bother yourself and don't search about these streaks , you will lose at the end
I had 9 losing streak on 75% , after that streak I stopped betting using pilot I'm just doing random bets these days
4597  Economy / Gambling / Re: Safest method to double your coins? on: October 30, 2015, 06:12:37 AM
for sure there is no safe way , you said that you are betting on X2 odds so that's a pure gambling
maybe you should start a small biz and try to develop it , any thing that you find it may be unique is a good idea to start a biz ( also there is no guarantees  Grin )

for me I find everything involve making money from your own money is risky unless you know what you are doing , cause even banks go broke sometimes

In my opinion also, there is no way of making bitcoins double in safer way. May be we can double our coin in slower methods with the most safest way. Cloud mining has attracted many people as safest way to double the bitcoin investments but it may take more time to get doubled.
Cloudmining is risky and unstable. There are a lot of companies with no proof that they are actually mining and promises huge returns. Even with legit ones, the pricing of Bitcoin could affect the maintenance fees charged and affect your earnings tremendously.
you might want to take your words back after seeing this ...http://preev.com/
i am making some nice profits from hashnets .. ROI is decreasing ,safe doubling can be done.

well now the price is going up , anyway I think we are discussing doubling the coins in general not doubling the price of bitcoins
we all remember hashprofit and the other dogecoin mining site ( I forgot the name  Grin ) there is no guarantees that a mining site will keep offers his customers mining offers , there is a good scamming chance
4598  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much profit have you made from Gambling? on: October 30, 2015, 06:09:06 AM
Here is my win line so far playing micro-stakes cash games poker on Betcoin.ag since February of this year.

Over 60 thousand+ hands I have a win rate of 10.4 bb/100 (big blinds per 100 hands)

Note that the money figures are actually mbtc, not "$". The poker tracking software I use (HEM2) doesn't recognize btc or mbtc so just assigns "$" to the units. So my net winnings so far are 761.14 mbtc or 0.76114 btc over 60K+ hands, not including my deposit bonus, rakeback or freeroll winnings. When you add those in, it bumps up my total earnings to just over 1.1 btc. I'm nowhere near baller status like some other players on the site, but hey, it's profit. And I'll be moving up to higher stakes soon where my win rate will be expected to go down, but the amount I earn will go up (hopefully).

Prior to starting playing full time on Betcoin.ag I played on seals before they changed to swc. HEM2 isn't supported by swc so I don't have any stats to show from my time there, but I estimate I made somewhere between 3-4 btc also playing microstakes poker over a few hundred thousand hands.

great graph bro , your win rate is really amazing . I don't play cash games but many good players say that 5bb/100 hand is a great win rate so you are killing it mate
hopefully we see more graphs here from other members , cause if you noticed there are many people here think that poker is a pure luck game
4599  Economy / Exchanges / Re: So coinbase closed my account for gambling... on: October 30, 2015, 06:05:35 AM
coinbase doesn't accept customers from my country so I don't know much about it but it follows American rules and you know that unregulated gambling sites are not allowed in the US
I heard so many people complaining about this problem , maybe you should use an exchanger or something like that cause they are following your addresses
4600  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you think the life of a professional gambler is a glamorous one? on: October 30, 2015, 06:01:51 AM
famous gamblers and to be specific poker players have a great life , simply they can do whatever they want to do
the markets that sponsor poker players are enough to pay them good amount of money to have a great life just by advertising the company

The most successful gambler may continue his gambling as part of his life style he will never concentrate on new skill developments. But the main thing is that professional gamblers will have a glamorous life style. In my opinion all the professional gamblers are not successful.

for me I think people shouldn't only focus on gambling , I'm studying and trying to be the best poker player I can be
I just want to do many things in life , poker isn't the only thing so I agree with you that gamblers should develop other skills
the glamorous life actually depends also on the community , here people look to gamblers as jerk but actually I don't care cause I'm not planning to stay in my country  Grin
