3821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin client not downloading new blocks on: May 15, 2012, 04:20:50 AM
My client hasn't updated in 22 hours, I updated after seeing the news, but it still isn't working and is displaying the "WARNING: Displayed transactions may not be correct..." message

you probably should just download the transactions thru your web browser and put it in your client.
3822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] "Chaturbate" New Camming Site on: May 15, 2012, 01:07:07 AM
I don't understand this site, it is just chatroll embed, and why do I need to download an oovoo plugin? So it is just someone capitalizing on embeding two different things together, nothing special.

feature request: link to a channel. if channel is not online, default to lobby.
that is already a feature,
http://cam4btc.com/?channel=CHANNELNAMEHERE
and their is no main lobby js

... almost. Knowing how to somehow forge a link is a cheat. Seeing this link in the browser's address bar or inside the channel is a feature.

to be honest the creator wants it to be minimalist UI and this is becoming too overwhelming so I think that works fine, and it works so it is a feature LOL

Hi,

I didn't have the chance to see cam4btc service yet because I'm on a tablet that has no flash support, but I would like to suggest a feature:

1- I think should have an option where lovers add a preview like photos and schedule a fuck.
2- The lovers will only fuck if they receive 100% of bitcoins previously established
3- If they don't get the total of bitcoins previously established, the people who sent bitcoins will be refunded.

This goes against everything the creator wachtwoord was aiming for. He wants a complete anonymous and he wanted that all bitcoins to go directly to the person on cam. Plus this service can be used for so much more things than just sex, he just knows that will be a main driver and is embracing it.

OK sent it..Don't think I needed to add a label..Let me know how long it takes, for you to receive it.

labels are just for you, not one else sees them so you know what the address are.
3827  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: how to generate a valid private-key + recv address in PHP? on: May 13, 2012, 06:42:52 PM
https://github.com/mikegogulski/bitcoin-php/blob/master/src/bitcoin.inc#L567

this uses a bitcoind as a backend and just queries that to get a new address so that could be an answer

Ok update... Kept the old wallet, put it on my desktop..Downloaded the new bitcoin..set it up,didn't run it..Replaced the old wallet ,and trashed the new wallet...Started up the new bitcoin, and synced.Almost @ 100% synced, and real player tries to enter the internet,I deny, and my comp shuts down...Restart logged back in ,unistalled real player...Then I start up bitcoin again,I get a quick view of my wallet.. says 124 bitcoins, 0 confirmed..I should just have half of that by the way, that need confirming..Then I get error loading BLKindex.dat, when I start up bitcoin...WTF?Should I try again? And repeat what I did?I made a quick vid capture of the problem..  heres the link.. http://depositfiles.com/files/88dcsyy09

just make sure you have at least 3gbs cause my bitcoin wallet uses at least 2gbs right now!
3830  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Just setup a Private Pool and i am looking for some people to test it (edited) on: May 13, 2012, 06:16:49 AM
but if we find shares you get all those btcs so that aint really fair js, you should just setup a website and allow people to register so you can share the shares with them. Otherwise I don't think anyone will share there power for a test

Ok...Did all that...Now after I install the new bitcoin. I just replace the new wallet with the old wallet right?

no you have to add the parameter -rescan to the program
after you have replaced the new wallet.dat with your wallet.dat
3834  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My transactions wont confirm... on: May 12, 2012, 08:41:51 AM
well I think I need to reinstall..I'm at 178282 of 179813   ...Its been stuck on 178282 for days already..Any link,or info. on how to save the wallet.Uninstall, then reinstall,Then add my wallet back to the new reinstalled bitcoin wallet?

you need to save the wallet.dat file which will have all your private keys for all your bitcoin addresses, then uninstall bitcoin, then reinstall it, add the wallet.dat file back to the original spot, then run bitcoin application with the rescan option then your done good luck, I would research this more cause based on the operating system your using there is different ways of doing things, i just gave you the general idea of what should happen
3835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My transactions wont confirm... on: May 12, 2012, 06:55:07 AM
Can I reinstall bitcoin..And some how, save my wallet, then add it back to the newly installed bitcoin wallet?

ok if you do that then you would still need to download all transactions, the reason for this, is cause it needs to see if that address has any coins or balance or what is the history of the address and the only way to do that is to look thru all transactions. There is really no way of getting around it that isn't secure.
3836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faucet on: May 12, 2012, 06:53:16 AM
There are quite a few ad supported faucets out there now. have you tried this one? http://mycryptcoin.com/

"No gimmick, no bull"...now please engage in this gimmicky bull.

Also you say get bitcoins in 15seconds yet to save on fees you then say it could take up to an hour that isn't good business just saying.
3837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My transactions wont confirm... on: May 12, 2012, 04:53:55 AM
Can I export my wallet,to a online wallet? Then maybe their software can complete my transaction?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78742.0

3838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My transactions wont confirm... on: May 12, 2012, 03:51:31 AM
Update.. 25 connections.. DL'd 178282 of 179773 blocks of transaction history .. Huh Last received block, was generated 9 days ago..I think I'm stuck on 178282?

3839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question from a Newbie !! pls help on: May 11, 2012, 07:51:43 PM
1. hows the mining bitcoin works?
Using mining software you hash blocks to see if that block contains bitcoins

2. how much is the profit ? is it worth making a miner?
Depends on if your soloing or pooling, but right now each block contains 50btc but that will change. If you find a good pool with a good  hashing powers and you have a lot of GPU's sitting around then go for it.

3. got any guide how to ? do it ? what specs? of comp need? minimum comps?
really depends on what you are doing. Google is your friend
