3841  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Kingshaunlee.com Bitcoin Doubler on: September 25, 2020, 08:24:19 AM

Thanks for the information you added into the thread Lorence.xD. About flag number 7 you mentioned here, these address are mostly just made of random names and numbers to gain people's trust.
No problem, if my red flag list could help someone from making a stupid decision then I think I did my job.

By the way, their chat support works and they are not bots. They put some effort into making it look legitimate. I tried poking holes into their business by asking questions. I asked them why is their address located and Lloyds bank and they said that they are renting an office inside the bank/building, I haven't called the place but I am pretty sure that Lloyds Bank does not lease office space. I directly asked them whether their business is a scam too and the only answer they gave me is that their competitors are trying to taint their name.

I asked for a competitor name but he only gave me one. The chat gave me crypto-t.com. Check this one out too if you have the time.
3842  Economy / Economics / Re: IMPACTS OF ROBOTICS ON WORLD ECONOMY on: September 25, 2020, 06:52:10 AM
Robots will be efficient if they are not built like a Gundam Mech, that thing will collapse under Square Cube Law. The impact of Robotics in economy is evident, they can be utilized for Deep Sea Exploration, exploring deadly environment like Chernobyl Power Plant Core and the most famous is Space Exploration. The funding for the aforementioned missions would be more expensive if they did not use robots, definitely the job generation would be the most affected if robotics are adopted in industries and commerce. This conundrum will be difficult for governments to solve because we live in a capitalist society where everything comes at a price.
3843  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: September 25, 2020, 04:34:09 AM
Fiat is still widely used in mainstream economy, they have effective ways to launder physical cash and if it works why fix it? This is the problem that bitcoin critics uses to levy against it, they always think that bitcoin or monero will be used for illicit purposes. There is no true anonymity in the Internet, the other reason criminal enterprise do not use it is they do not have a firm grasp yet on how blockchain and cryptocurrency in general works.
3844  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 25, 2020, 03:42:31 AM
Thats will be the main problem when that time comes. Criminal activities will increase as this drug can be used anytime, as guns are so normal to own in US, it will be a good pair in my opinion.

I don't agree. In countries such as Uruguay and Portugal, the crime rates went down sharply after the soft-drugs were legalized. On top of that, the deaths from overdose also went down. And you need to remember that the vast majority of the overdose deaths in the US results from prescription opioids and not from the illegal narcotics. And regarding guns, in a majority of the criminal cases the weapons used are not legally registered.
I have heard about the narcotic solution in Portugal, they diverted their focus on eliminating the drugs instead they put their efforts in rehabilitating the people that uses it, it was effective as people was getting an effective rehabilitation. Regarding gun violence having a connection to drugs, if weapons manufacturing and regulated with iron hand restrictions, I think it will be effective. The perpetrator weapons are mostly illegally possessed or the requirements to get it is as easy as buying into the store, there is a difference.

I do not have a stance against cannabis yet because there are still few researches and studies that are solid about the benefits of recreational or medical use. I think there is no long term study on the effects but if there will be I hope that the US consider legalizing it because it is an oppurtunity that has been slipping between their fingers for a long time now. Legalizing also meant that prison population will considerably decrease as many are imprisoned because of possession of marijuana.
3845  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic Privileges as Hostage: How it could Push Countries Toward China on: September 24, 2020, 01:39:49 PM
this is a fake news actually. Its not EU that sanctions this, they can't do this. its just the faction of EU, some douchebag who just suggested to EU to sanction Philippines to its tariff and Filipinos also listen when in fact the law can't allow this. rappler and all the media in the Philippines are all owned by the bastards yellow who thinks they are the ones telling the truth. THIS IS FAKE NEWS.

EU would never do that in times of Crisis. don't listen to this bullshit.

Read this: https://globalnation.inquirer.net/191001/eu-parliament-threatens-to-revoke-ph-trade-perks

You are clearly a sycophant and credulous citizen of the Philippines. You tolerate the killings just because they are suspects, what are you, a vigilante? And that isn't a fake news you goof. To anyone who reads my post, do not believe this sycophant I quoted above because there are news articles stating that tariffs are being imposed by EU to the Philippines. He is a fanatic dog of the government called DDS. And most of them especially the uneducated one labels the critics of the administration the campaign color of the opposition (Dilawan/Yellow).

Regarding the tariff, it will hurt the exporters and imposing the tariffs to levy the president to answer for his crimes is a pretty shitty move for EU, I hope that the impose of tariffs do not go further as Philippine economy is still in shambles due to Billion Peso Corruption of PhilHealth and continuous lockdown that impairs workforce.

If you try to search for Philippines issues in Google, you can witness the greatest circus in your life. I am backing this claim because I am a citizen too.
3846  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 24, 2020, 11:05:17 AM
Have you heard the term Inflation before? It simple means more money has been printed every year while adds more in the circulating supply as a result of this the purchasing power of your money is going down every year.

I dont think so. Inflation occurs when there is too much money in supply than the goods.  The reason for the current increase in food prices is not the government's printing of money.  In my country, there is no money printing policy, but food prices have increased by a few percent, although not double.  This is because the availability of foodstuffs cannot fulfill the needs of the entire society so that it increases.
This is not just a simple inflation, there are factors involved such as cost of production, cost of transport and the organic farming. Many farmers are slowly converting to a more organic ways of farming where the usage of less toxic yet more efficient pesticides are used that means the prices will go up. Same for meat, slowly converting to organic cattle farms makes a better harvest but the cost of production is increased and the land used to prevent overcrowding of farm animals contributes to the increase of prices. Transport cost varies depending on distance from source to market, so far, it is the easiest problem that can be solved in regards to increase in the price of produce and meat.
3847  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 24, 2020, 09:13:19 AM
If every person is given free money, then what is the point of getting a job and paying for services, sure barter will work but not to the point where you trade 1 tonne of rice to a crate of guns. People should also do some work, they should not rely too much on the government, they can help but to a certain extent. I am pretty sure that not paying your bills is not the fault of bitcoin, you are responsible for paying your bills.
3848  Economy / Economics / Re: Big in Japan: giant Gundam robot makes its first moves in Yokohama on: September 24, 2020, 08:14:04 AM
~

I'm sure that japanese developer and designer are taking in consideration this law because there's a lot of money involved here. There are a lot of lightweight material that can be used for this giant robot to become fully functional. This is a very good progress for human technology.

The only thing it bothers is where they will get the energy to power up this robot and sustain it for a long run? It will needs a tons of energy to burn in able to move this robot, I believe they will need a built-in nuclear reactor on the robot to sustain its power consumption.
Energy source will not be a problem because in essence the mech is a machine. They can still power it with convential fuels.

If they take that in consideration then they should understand that it will be a difficult endeavor. There is a reason this projects was not considered for a long time. They can easily be destroyed. Lets say that the mech can walk normally, and no problem arises and then someone pushes it, the result will be catastrophic as the mech will not sustain an outside force. There is a reason why skyscrapers do not move and that is square cube law.

Here are some takes about mechs in reddit (they might help but always take the comments with a grain of salt): https://www.reddit.com/r/scifiwriting/comments/ah5njc/are_large_mechs_ever_practical/
3849  Economy / Economics / Re: Your eyes can help your economy, please protect it for your good. on: September 24, 2020, 07:25:17 AM
Eyes are really important, they say its fine to lose our sense of hear but not our eyes because it has a major role to our life.

When it comes to trading and investment we really need this part of our body, how can we analyze the situation if we have no idea of whats happening. Thats why we must really take care of our eyes and our body in general, because everything will go to waste if we already have illness that cant be cured even we have money.
If we can integrate a reliable and efficient text to speech feature in a software then it will hopefully help the vision impaired who wants to trade. There are people that can help you if a pair of eyes is needed, there is even an app for that. For developers this will be their biggest challenge, a non-exclusion software that anyone can use and participate in.
3850  Other / Off-topic / Re: TESLA WILL BE THE FUTURE on: September 24, 2020, 06:25:57 AM
Competition wise, there will be innovations from other older companies and I think it is a good thing, there is no monopoly for electric smart cars. In the long road, the prices will get better but with the current economic standing for most countries, I do not think everyone that has a work can afford one. Stock price will probably plummet if the competition grows bigger and a new model that is better and affordable will be released by the competition. I think the biggest advantage of Tesla is that they are the frontier of the industry and that gives them a headstart for a more advance and efficient models.
3851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for blind people on: September 24, 2020, 04:27:46 AM
Maybe blind people will be having hard time while setting up their wallet and it is nearly impossible for now but in terms of spending we can still make it possible with QR code scanners or crypto debit cards but until now not much place to spend our cryptos so I believe there will be some technology to assists the blind people to live normal life as everyone.
There is an app where you ask strangers for help and they guide you on what to do, I forgot the name of the app and it is pretty helpful for the blind community. The app utilizes the camera feature of the phone to help, one example is a blind person checking whether the milk is expired, they can use the voice command for the app and strangers will accept the tasks and become their eyes for awhile.

The current dilemma on how to make bitcoin accessible to blind people does not have a simple solution, blind people utilize their other senses like feel or touch while bitcoin is electronic which means there will be limitations like TTS which can sometimes be faulty. Braille system is the best solution that is not fully utilized when it comes to bitcoin project development.
3852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks Launder $2 Trillion While Claiming BTC Is For Money Laundering? on: September 24, 2020, 03:45:41 AM
Probably because if bitcoin is legalized, then banks will no longer be needed. Everyone is watching the digital yuan testing in China.
If the US government is investing huge amounts of money to track transactions on the blockchain, then in the future, cryptocurrency will play an important role in the field of payments.
Banks will fight to the last, while there is a possibility.
If something threatens the system then they will do everything in making sure that it will not dominate. That is the law for competition and this banking institutions will do anything in their power to not get their old system become entirely obsolete. The problem with legalizing bitcoin is there is no clear way to address the grey area, let's admit it that there will be people with ill-intent that will exploit bitcoin's grey area. The future of cryptocurrency will advance no matter what though and governments either accept it entirely or not.
3853  Economy / Economics / Re: How freelancing websites killed design and developement bussinesses ... on: September 24, 2020, 02:54:55 AM
I agree freelancing websites have broken standard payments for programming / design business, they don't understand very hard
to build big projects. So it was really stressful with an offer of only $ 100, and usually third world countries peoples receive such low pay.
It makes it difficult for us to get projects, because clients must choose the lowest price. But fortunately there are some clients who choose
based on the programmers' abilities, even though there are not many clients like that.
The problem with the with companies is that they starve their employees and some of them see freelancing as a better option in utilizing their skills. Sure there are still companies that do not do it but they are outnumbered by the overwhelming presence of freelancers. If you were the employee and you are paid a minimum and you know that freelance has a greener pasture, will you still slave away with corporate life?
3854  Economy / Economics / Re: Big in Japan: giant Gundam robot makes its first moves in Yokohama on: September 23, 2020, 12:27:51 PM
I think it's not in vain but a breakthrough in computer science and engineering. This might serve as a model for future endeavors for computer scientist and engineers as Japan has always been surprising us with their development in robotics (Look at this https://www.japantimes.co.jp/tag/robots/). Who knows, we might see giant robots roaming the city in 20-50 years in the future lol.
The problem that I can see with this is that if it allows full movement then it will be difficult because there is square cube law, the law states that as objects get bigger in size, the volume grows faster than its surface area. This means that a complete motion for the machine (walking, running etc) will affect itself, think how they make skyscrapers. Physics can be a dick but the Gundam will collapse on its own weight if they did not consider square cube law.
3855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Energy Consumption Grows, Now Comparable to Czech Republic on: September 23, 2020, 11:40:30 AM
The solution for mining rigs (large scale rigs) in the case of reducing their environmental impact is by moving it closer to the source. We are in the future, most countries are starting to go for green energy which means that the energy output will improve without a significant or faint impact to the environment. The article only talks about the output of the network but do not point what source they are using (i.e. Nuclear, coal, solar, wind, geothermal etc). This is a pretty small problem if you simply take a stepback.
3856  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Kingshaunlee.com Bitcoin Doubler on: September 23, 2020, 10:04:55 AM
This one has obvious red flags. I hope the list can help you from doing the stupid thing and fall fo it.
  • Red Flag 1: The site is desolated. A lot of white space, no strong typeface usage.
  • Red Flag 2: No way to contact the team behind except for the admin email, not even a human face can be seen.
  • R get saed Flag 3: Log-in to the site is a mile wide red flag, you have to invest first before you can enter. Pretty much like how a mega-church work, donate to the cause and you can get that sweet salvation
  • Red Flag 4: Like any rational person, no one in their right mind will double someones money especially strangers.
  • Red Flag 5: Commisions for your referrals, which means it is also a MLM/Pyramiding scheme
  • Red Flag 6: There is a minimum deposit and their reason is transaction fee. If you really are going to double the amount then you might as well pay for the transaction fee.
  • Red Flag 7: The address for contact which is 1-5 High st, ox1 4ab, Oxford, United Kingdom. If you look at Google Map it is connected in Lloyds Bank in UK. Did not know that banks are these generous.
  • Red Flag 8: They also have a ceiling for maximum deposit. They know how to cover their bases when jig is up
3857  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have Good advice for investors on: September 23, 2020, 08:37:22 AM

A piece of advice I got from someone who also experienced the same thing is that, if you are not learning to trade well then just invest and hold. You don't need to do anything else but wait. But at least try investing to a project that had been proven to be rising up such as Bitcoin. You don't have to participate in accumulating thru the spot nor margin trading.
Investing long term is pretty expensive. I agree with the advice to a certain degree but always try to at least gain experience. If it didn't work out then get a job and fund your long term investments. Always diversify your investments so you do not experience disruption in your cashflow.
3858  Other / Meta / Doxing on: September 23, 2020, 06:47:41 AM
Disclaimer: I do not condone nor tolerate the actions by forum members, I am just trying to make sure that people are aware about the topic and that it has legal repercussions.

Doxing the practice of researching and broadcasting any identifying info in public.

My concern is most topics in investigations doxxed potential scammers, I believe that everyone is innocent until proven guilty and I see this as a pretty alarming thing because if it is tolerated here then I am scared that someone with ill-intent might use the doxxing in the forum as a scapegoat for their actions despite forum members doing it with the ill intent behind. Wouldn't it be better if we report the details to authorities instead of putting it in the forum. The doxxed identity has a legal leverage which can negate the accusations.

Hopefully, everyone can understand what I want to say, this can happen to anyone and everyone here for sure cares about privacy.

PS. I feel that this might not belong here so let me know if I should delete it or move it.
3859  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Initiative Q Another free money trap on: September 23, 2020, 04:31:25 AM
Here are some red flags that I see while perusing their website:
  • Red Flag 1: They start their intro video with the words "We don't want your money." With most cons that I have seen through my life, assuring people that they will not lose something in value is the most basic one because it makes people comfortable for the next thing coming.
  • Red Flag 2: The only way you can join is via invite. That is Pyramiding/Multi Level Marketing 101, you recruit people and the more you recruit in your name then the more money you can accumulate.
  • Red Flag 3: While we are at it, the invite system conditions people to false sense of belonging. It is like a cult where you are accepted and the outsiders are not allowed.
  • Red Flag 4: They claim in their FAQs that bitcoin is solving a non-existent problem, they even say that banks have a robust system (Yeah, robust system against plebs but not at the elite). This sounds like another Bitcoin killer and we all know what happened last time when they claim to be bitcoin killer (Hint: OneCoin).
  • Red Flag 5: With people getting early in line to get their Qs means the first will get more Qs, which makes the currency vulnerable to market manipulation by this Q whales.
I might have missed some of flags but there are still a lot so feel free to go to their site and poke holes.

3860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help day traders and newbie traders. on: September 22, 2020, 02:33:27 PM
None of these tips or tricks or eBooks or any type of video tutorial will actually help you become a trader in real life. Right now every Tom, Dick and Harry is making boatloads of money on the stock market like every Tom, Dick and Harry made back in crypto in late 2017 and eventually the markets will trade sideways or bearish and people will lose all their realized gains.

The only way to become a profitable trader is basically to have experience and you can't teach experience. Just because a few kids made $1 million dollars trading with a $3000 account on Robinhood with Tesla options, doesn't mean they are better traders than those that made $50,000 yearly profit off their $100,000 starting balance.
Having those tips in mind will help you remind when things get muddled. I agree that experience will teach you the biggest but isn't it wiser to learn from other's experience too. It is better that they have knowledge doing daytrading rather than diving straight into it and gaining the experience, atleast have something in your belt to help you right?

Another good tip to add is do not compare your profits to other successful trader or even your experienced friends, it will leave you the feeling that you are doing something wrong. Roll with the punches because there will be losses.
