I cannot imagine 1 BTC let alone 17k BTC! I do not think these guys are telling the whole truth though when they give this interviews,,, I mean there is also no real way of us finding out if he really bought at that amount and price (and if he did so what). Gold I read now is getting harder and more scarce to mine,,, so gold will also increase a lot in price in this time. Not sure if people will move to BTC.
3842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 30, 2020, 08:15:45 AM
I think Mourinho was wrong when he didn’t put players like Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Lucas Moura to play right at the beginning of the game, I didn’t watch that game because I was busy watching another game, but from what I could see on summary of the game and the line of players who were at the beginning of the game, I realized that it was not a good experiment that mourinho did and it cost him a defeat against a team that they could win

Yay me,,, I lost again betting on my beautiful Spurs. I will probably double bet down on them in EPL though and martingale till I win,,, NOT. Odds are always below 2/1 if Spurs are expected to win so I will lose in 3/4 streaks and get poor if I put all my trust in Mou's boys:)

Calculated gamble in a group game I guess and he lost,,, too bad. We move on.
3843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BTC stay above $13,000 line from now on? on: October 30, 2020, 06:55:12 AM
This scenario already happened before, the price consistently increase and many investors thought that we might be in another bullrun again but it didnt happen.

Its been almost 3 years since the last ath but we're not certain when will the price can reach or surpass that value again. All we can do is to wait and be ready to take advantage the price of bitcoin.

Well,,, I will always remember saying in 2018 and 2019 when people kept saying the bull was here that I thought it would take a lot longer, this year at the earliest and I guess we just have two more months to reach my own thoughts. I still will not say next year is it for sure, but the strength of Bitcoin does look at the highest since 2017. We can only wait and see now to see what happens. Hang in for the ride. I think we still see $10k tests a few more times.
3844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 29, 2020, 05:24:56 PM
So many games tonight, I am of course betting on Spurs but they do seem to have a super easy game on their hands judging from the odds (but not as low as Arsenal whose opponents are 40x to win!).

Parlaying with winners or do we think BTTS are the recipe for success tonight? I foresee many disappointing draws.
3845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Really Happening To The Market? on: October 29, 2020, 02:38:31 PM
I really do not think Defi was the sole reason for the pump and dumb of cryptocurrencies prices. I think the reasons for these actions could be as follows

Not the sole reason but for sure a major reason. People have been pumping ETH and locking it up everywhere for no good reason other than to earn yields and staked tokens/pool tokens. And now they realize everything is winding down people are panicking,,, as usual!

Stocks and gold and wars are always at play but look at Bitcoin standing strong. No Defi there:)
3846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 29, 2020, 02:00:49 PM
Spurs are looking good this season, I don’t think they have enough to be champions but they are certainly good enough to get into the CL, I have no doubts about that.

Yes, they are looking much much better than last one I can actually see Kane smiling more even Son too. Our problem has never been attack anyway it is what we do without them, now I feel better we have Bale to stop the gap,,, but we need more long term solutions since he is never able to stay fit the entire season anyway.

I thought top 4 was impossible but I can dream again seeing the usual top 4 not in there!

I think the league is quite open this season, especially with Liverpool losing Djyk. I thought teams like Everton and Villa could have done something this season but they both went and lost their last games. Villa still have a game in hand though. Would be nice to see a different team win it.

Exactly. Every team will now be raising their hopes up to compete for Europa at least, and we also thought the new boys could challenge but they showed us all they can also drop. Fixtures are very important here. Arsenal lost to City, Liverpool and Leicester so they got the tough fixtures done,,, some teams have not yet met tough opponents?
3847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO may hit as low as $0.07 on: October 29, 2020, 12:34:44 PM
You imagine too much, there is no need to over-imagine because you need to analyze the market first. You bring the impossible thing to discuss now, you will get a lot of criticism, the title NEO may hit as low as $10 is more reasonable Grin.

The problem with most people,,, and I include myself so this is not an offending thing to say only to others;) but the whole reason we over imagine is through our over analysis of the market.

8 cents is not impossible actually. Nothing is in crypto but yes,,, as much as NEO is underwhelming now, I do not see 7 cents happening not for a few years at least.

Awesome cake for you Bitvest,,, well done to the contest winner. I did myself a bad thing and got too excited for the daily event and ended up busting. I won a tiny amount back from placing but it was far from enough. Lesson learnt, take time and do not go for 8-streak from the start;)
3849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe this is the way on: October 29, 2020, 08:52:04 AM
It is not just a possibility,,, it is a very real outcome waiting to happen. Look all around us we are part of the 99% who are hodling and waiting thinking the whales will take us to the top but when the top comes we still hold. The whales dump on us every time.

I really think we have to just believe only in Bitcoin and keep using it to the maximum that we can. Forget altshits:)
3850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 29, 2020, 08:19:15 AM
I think Everton will definitely be at the top 4 at the end of the season. Everton are doing good with Carlo Ancelotti. I think that even if they have difficulty, they will win the away match against Newcastle this week. Smiley

I think so too. Everton is playing very well. every player is trying to give their best afford to play well in their own place. I think all the players on their team are working hard to improve themselves. Their next match is against Newcastel. Hopefully they can win the match easily. But I am waiting to watch the match of Everton vs Man Utd. Hopefully we will enjoy an exciting match.

Newcastle could be one of the contenders too,,, they always know how to pull something out of the bag and remember, they have had a few good seasons too and with some new faces, you always cannot put them down. But yes, if Everton beat Newcastle and keep winning,,, then you never know how the table will look like. United is the real test (they almost passed Liverpool test too).
3851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Values of Bitcoin & Altcoin are correlated on: October 29, 2020, 06:51:28 AM
Coins in the market are correlated with bitcoin, which is very radical  because it has appeared many times in practice. In 2017 after bitcoin dropped ETH hit ATH because the ICO residual was still there, so the demand for ETH at that time was huge, it surpassed bitcoin's influence on the market at that time.

Since when has this become a radical pattern? When did you enter into crypto anyway? From the sounds of it, not many years at all,,, 2017 if you were really in, then you will remember that it took Bitcoin to go on that crazy rally and then finally hit ATH first before ETH also moved on that wave.

Alts have always been correlated in a big way to Bitcoin, so what are you talking about? Surpassing influence of Bitcoin? You do know the flippening never happened right?
3852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DeFi Yield Farm Promises 408% Daily?? APY Center CAPY REFUND?! on: October 28, 2020, 03:38:42 PM
Dude,,, can you stop promoting these obvious scam projects? I get it that some of the stuff you post is interesting to read,,, even if I know none of them will ever be good to invest,,, I do not mind reading about new projects but if 10% a day is hyip scam then what makes 408 not a scam?
3853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2020, 03:05:40 PM
I had a good week as well, moved up more than 10 spots to go back where I was before. Winning sportsbet's other contest was very special,,, and the results really went my way (especially the Leicester one I guess which not many people took). So I will not forget this week in a long time:)

All is not important to me however if Spurs do not get Champions League football!
3854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 28, 2020, 01:36:25 PM
The signature campaign has nothing to do with the project's credibility. It all falls on the team, how it managed, developed and how transparent are they. Signature campaign or any bounty program is just a good way to advertise or publicize a project, it doesn't add to the project's credibility as a whole.

It actually kind of does though. If you look at the oldest signature campaigns, they all started out with a good bang of signature campaigns for a new business,,, and especially if you see the participants AND the manager are really good ones, then you know the project itself at least recognizes good people and wants to work with them.

Barca president Bartomeu retired.

This is was fun guys, now Messi can stay at Barca till the end of his carrier.
Messi is not comfortable enough to stay and playing as energetic before at Barca. This is a good news that President Maria Bartomeu reports the resignation of the FC Barcelona Board but this doesn't mean from now Messi and entire team can start performing well and conquer the world of football. Actually we've been waiting for this for so long, let's see if there make any difference.

coinlocket is right in my mind. I do not know Barca or Messi well but this is exactly what Messi asked for and he got what he wanted. I mean to me as an outsider this is all it boiled down to, a rotten piece of the top level board,,, and now it is gone they can rebuild. Messi and others in the team at least can feel that evil eye gone from above.
3856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Constructive Financial Advice Needed on: October 28, 2020, 11:07:27 AM
Do not worry too much friend. I got my first proper job only at 27 after many years doing so many different jobs including waiting and call center for many years. My advice is to work hard, and save money. Do not get enticed by easy get rich fast things.

In your free time enjoy, but also live comfortably without spending too much and spend all your free time for learning and education. Learn coding, learn anything that improves your employability! I know it took me forever but I finally got noticed and earn a bit more than others. Keep patient and humble. Save a bit of money in Bitcoin.

Do not trade or invest in what looks too good to be true:)

I did not do too badly I guess in this round,,, was really tough to pick a keeper I think to keep clean sheet, good thing that Alisson was playing last night for Liverpool but now all my selections have played (picked all the matches playing last night) so now others can jump in the table, hope to get many own goals tonight for you guys:P
3858  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 28, 2020, 08:16:29 AM
To be candid the effect of this pandemic has devastated and crumbled a lot of businesses, job losses, recessions and causes poverty especially in developing countries.
Its very sad reading comments how people lost their jobs, personally I worked as a private school teacher shortly after covid-19 infections was becoming widespread all schools in my country was closed  down indefinitely the implication of the closure means no payment of salaries to us, everyone has to hustle legitimately to earn some bucks and care of our families.

I agree but we have to also remember that long before Covid came we were already experiencing some heavy results in economy in many countries. Unemployment was rising already and inflation was climbing even in my area before this year.

I think we all are worried about our job security and Bitcoin is one of our hopes but I would also hope we do not look for shortcuts.

Improve ourselves continuously and keep working hard.

I had some dreams of doing my own business but savings is very slow to accumulate so I am spending all my free time learning learning learning. I do not know if it brings results but it is surely better than doing nothing and hoping for the best!
3859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2020, 06:34:50 AM
Real in last place, and they could have been with 0 points if they did not get that last min equalizer,,, how incredible. Anyone want to bet on them not qualifying now? But I guess putting Real as fav to win will get good returns right now yes?

Other than that no surprises last night and poor Ronaldo no meeting his favorite nemesis!
3860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Values of Bitcoin & Altcoin are correlated on: October 27, 2020, 07:58:11 PM
Because altcoins had their fun during Defi,,, and now defi space is bleeding like ICO days so Bitcoin's rally is actually helping to reduce the blood from Defi.

That is my opinion, and the sooner defi stops becoming hype the better so we can grow properly and in a more organic way.
