3861  Economy / Economics / Re: Beliefs about money and wealth on: April 23, 2018, 12:22:53 PM
Beliefs determine the way we make decisions, and the more they adhere to reality the more they are useful. Very often we carry unverified beliefs and we make stupid decisions because we do not have the courage to check our beliefs and question them.

Beliefs can be changed with knowledge and information. We keep updating professional knowledge regularly through different books and online medium. But we ignore the financial education that helps us to effectively manage the earnings from our profession. At such, every individual should try to always update his financial knowledge. There are number of financial websites that provide information related to debts and methods to avoid debt and achieve financial freedom.

Well it doesn't necessarily mean that your belief would be the actual fact though. That's why it's not enough to simply believe. That should be backed up by study and experience and don't be afraid to have your beliefs proven wrong because then you'll learn. That goes especially in money matters
3862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what if the top 6 coins is worth a trillion each by 2020? on: April 23, 2018, 12:19:52 PM
what if the top 6 coins on marketcap is worth 1 trillion each by 2020? where would that put us at? is 10,000$ invested make us a millionaire yet? lets say new york turns into a blockchain city and chicago turns into blockchain city. they start investing we see coins in the trillion. this is where i see the market going. just thinking ahead and the future.
I think its too much. But who knows? We will not also reject its probability. But the time frame is just too short for that amount. Maybe it has possibility to reach that amount at a longer time span.

Well if you'vr invested that much in those top six coins, easily you should be a millionnaire already. Though that's unlikely to happen, in the case that it does, you'll be fortunate to have the foresight to be investing in those coins
3863  Economy / Economics / Re: What to do with our new found wealth??? on: April 23, 2018, 12:17:45 PM
The wisest thing to do with the money that we are making from bitcoins is to further invest most of them back into bitcoins so that we can earn even more profits as a result,  we will keep doing that and thus keep making more money.

Yeah, right you are like with me. I will also do as you say. If one day I make money from Bitcoin, some of the money I will invest again in Bitcoin. And some of it I will collect to open a business. So I can benefit from Bitcoin but can also benefit from my business results. None of them are wasted and we will be more successful.

Nice idea. If given a chance to earn big I'll do the same too, I'll keep on investing and if I'm ready to start for a business I would too. And also don't forget to give thanks always make sure to set aside some money for a charity to give purpose of everything.

I will also try this too if I have much money and I have a chance to earn more money. I think it is better to have our own business so we can try to manage our business and try to make more money. but we need to give our money to people which really need money or donate our money to charity or something like that so we can help them to continue their life.

Business is the way to stay rich after becoming rich by the help of crypto currencies. A person must focus on diversifying his number of income sources and all the rich people of the world are businessman. But I won’t suggest leaving crypto currencies behind after someone succeeds in establishing his own empire. Becoming a share holder of a well-established business is also a smart option.

Well i wouldn't really invest everything back into crypto if i manage to br quite wealthy here. It's always a good idea to diversify and scatter your assets into different markets. One thing is for sure though, i'd make sure to think about where i'm going to be investing first. I wouldn't want to waste the opportunity given by btc to me
3864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 22, 2018, 03:10:36 PM
Is it me or its just that every playoffs, betting into NBA is getting really hotter and hotter.

A lot of my friends from work are taking their bets and they are still voting for the 2 teams that get their way into the finals which is Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. I don't get what they are saying, and also what they believed in but I think there will be other team that will advance forward in the Finals this year.

You could be right at your speculation now.
These teams are getting stronger and it will not just be Cleveland and Golden State who will be the apple of the eye.

76ers is there, Houston and look at that Pelicans sweeping the Portland Trail Blazers who is a team that is on top when it comes to being an offensive team.
I guess there will a big Finals with some changes who will be on top.

Yeah, I agree.

At first I am seeing a possible finals with Pacers but since they are facing off with Cavaliers, which in the past is a final qualifier, I quickly changed my mind. I mean Oladipo and his team is great, they are leading the series 2-1 but I don't think that Lebron will be letting this chance to finals just slip. I know Lebron will settle their rivalry to GSW this year if GSW push through the finals.
It's still early to conclude, there are still 2 games to be won for the Pacers to win the series.
Well, let's see what the cavaliers can do in game 4, although I don't like their performance in game 3 but I believe they can even the series.
It's a risky move but it's worth taking a shot.

Yeah this year's post season is probably the most interesting in the last 5 years. The cavs' don't own the east anymore though i still think they can go past the pacers. People aren't just talking about a rematch of the previous finals and the last dance can seriously have different teams this year
3865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What next? on: April 22, 2018, 03:01:53 PM
It is a good attitude, what is done is done. Cos so many people are companing for ages after every single wrong step, lol. You are my hero.
Actually that's the basic tips for those who have investments on crypto, which is must wait for the uptrend before sell off don't so hasty for the sake of your money, and indeed gaining profits on crypto is not easy and it takes year or months depends on the circumstances of the market.  So put some patience just relax and wait for the right time to sell.

People lose patience and become anxious mostly because they're looking for short term profits. They're putting in money they can't hold for a long time so disappointment easily kicks in when a red market comes up. It can be avoided of course if you're well aware of what you're supposed to do
3866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't care about the price now. Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth on: April 22, 2018, 02:55:17 PM
I don't even look at the price anymore. Just looked today after a few days... Eth is now being negotiated at 480. LOL

Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth. I will hold for a few years. I am not going to sell now, even if it were 10x more than it is now, so why would I care for the price now?

I put some good money into this market. But I really believe in the technology, I really like it, I am even studying it. I am not worried.

That is so fearless of you to take the risks in holding without monitoring your wallet and I think some of us should do the same thing as you are doing. If we look at the price everyday, every hour or every minute, it makes us not just look but indeed obsess with cryptos and I think this obsession can lead to unnecessary things we might do like doing panic selling which we might regret in the future. Positive thinking, faith and patience are the keys to success in cryptoworld. Hope for your success.

Well it shouldn't be a surprise though since that's how investors see their investments. Its more on the long term profits. Peoplenshould emulate this guy's outlook towards it and only put in money you can afford to hold for a long time. This will avoid all these negativity when the market goes red.
3867  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bear may be good for us on: April 22, 2018, 02:50:40 PM
More FUD resistance. Well consider this just like a vaccination. We all have that Fever that follows vaccines. But the good thing is it shoots up our resistance, our nerve. To handle bad news
Okay, at least with passing time, we are seeing less of useless forks. Why? I truly believe by next bull run, most useless forks will fail to gain use and market shares and would eventually drop off, and original ideas will dominate
I really do not think that the correction is mainly because of FUD new, it is used as an excuse, the market cannot grow up all the time, we need to have a balance in the price growth and that is seen in the form of correction and the forks are just useless and let us see which ones will sustain in a few years time.
This is the main thing in cryptocurrency world. Before entering in this world one should have the courage to bear the fall in the price. It is fact that the price will not increase all the time. Some times as we see in the last couple of weeks the price dropped and most people lost their investment. Gaining and losing is a part of business and this is very crucial business.

Well fuds contribute a lot though to a correction and to how long the market will stay under a correction stage. It's a given with the market's volatility it will go up and down and whether we like it or not, bears balances and make the marker healthy
3868  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Massive loss 40% underwater on: April 22, 2018, 02:43:00 PM
Got in at the height of Jan this year and all holdings lost more than half from the previous peak.

Very frustrated and was afraid that crypto will be zeroed out, so sold at massive loss more than 50%+ realized loss

After sold last week, all coins came back up 10-20%, even more frustrated, what to do?
You will always end up more frustrated if you do not hold as long as you are not a trader. What on earth is wrong with you guys? Why did you come in to invest in the first place, the quick gains or the long term benefit ?

As long as you cannot trade the market and you are not sure of what you want to do as a trader, hold until you see the huge value in the long run. See it this way, we have the same high level of fluctuation early last year and bitcoin even traded below $1000, but here we are testing around $9000. If that alone cannot give you a clue of what the future holds, I really wonder what will.
Those who panic just want a fast profit, they might not yet know that when they enter crypto mostly they need to put patience. Soon they'll be able to know it more.

Well the problem here is the reason why they entered the market in the first place. There's no one to blame but yourself dude. A lot of people made the same mistake and paid the same price. Its an investment. You don't get in because of hype because almost certainly you'll end up with a loss. It would take huge amount of patience to be able to wait to cover your losses
3869  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader or Gamblers. on: April 22, 2018, 02:29:39 PM
In the long run things do get messy if we don’t upgrade our emotions and we can end up loosing like I said above. Better be slow, gradual and fill the pot completely.
Greed and emotion will always be a huge situation for any trader and it usually happens most of the time to traders who are totally ignorant of what they are doing.

I remembered when I started trading without the knowledge, I was absolutely in that shoe, but when I decided to take the bull by the horn, take trading serious as a profession and learned a lot, I tend to be better as I keep making confident and better calls not just playing with the market like one is gambling which is basically what most traders in this market do.

Well that's when trading can be compared to gambling, if you do it without a clue of what you're going to do. For me, it starts as a gamble really during your first trade but with the experience you get through time, the gamble of course decreases.
3870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are AirDrops exactly? on: April 22, 2018, 02:26:48 PM
Those are giveaway of the tokens that ICO gives in exchange of your basic information in the form of KYC at lower degree. Whenever the ICO's coin become successful, the tokens will be distributed after the ICO in the wallet you have given. It is quite worth your time if you know what you're really doing and you fully understood the project you joined at while also doing a background check on the team of the project.

You don't really have to exert too much effort with airdrops since as most of the people said, these are free tokens for promotional purposes for upcoming coins. Some successful alts have had airdrops in the past and people do get free money.
3871  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade is more a lucky thing or skill on: April 22, 2018, 02:22:28 PM
I'm not sure if I have time to play with charts and trade a lot, like I have seen some youtubers doing.
They make you really believe that is more like a skill and if you are good at it, it works.
My friend told me that is just about how lucky you are, and not a skill.
So, should I stick with holding or playing day trade is a better option?
I don't agree that succesful day trading are just luck and not for skill as what your friends said. For me day trading need analytical skill so you may know when  is the right time to bought the coins and when to sold it is not purely luck.

Yeah and you have to know which coins you're going to trade with. Day trading probably requires experience first and knowledge about which coins movement can be easier to predict. Luck is a part of it but experience has a heavier effect when you day trade
3872  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump and Dump feelings on: April 22, 2018, 02:20:22 PM
Hey guys, I was tradin the ADX alt coin trying to buy at 10507 so after wait a little I did get my order filled.. after 10 seconds I saw price pumping...
The price stayed around 10600 ~ 10500 some time and then exploded lol It was pretty crazy to watch price getting higher in that little time..
After like 30 secs my order got filled and I did sell the coin for 11.200 resulting in like 6% of ROI  Cheesy I was like: WHAAT?!?! GOT TO TAKE PROFITZ HAHAH
After my decision of selling at 11200 price kept rising and went to 15k.. I could have made +30% easily but for some reason I din't.. but profit is profit!!

It was the first time that I saw a live pump \o/ it's pretty niice to see this kind of thing happening live  ;o

If you were in my situation what would have you made and why? what could be observed in cases like that which could help staying longer..
you think that it is possible to meassure a pump size? it's pretty hard to know when it's going to happen, but what about how much time to stay in it?

Actually, i've realized that as long as you sold with profit, it's a good trade. You'll never know at what price these people will decide to dump. Last year i had the same experience and watched live how bitcoin cash pumped to almost double the amount of purchase. I waited and waited and the pump probably lasted for a good 15 minutes. I ended up selling at a 15% loss because of being too greedy and was unable to sell during the pump
3873  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex or Poloniex. which one do you like to trade? on: April 22, 2018, 02:15:16 PM
bittrex and poloniex definitely have advantages and disadvantages but many people prefer bittrex because now bittrex can be an easy market and many coins are available there for purchase. so i chose bittrex.

Basically that's the major factor why bittrex is preferred by more people than polo. I have accounts and i trade on both but i feel constrained when i'm in polo since not all coins are there. When it comes to a choice between the two, i'd also go with bittrex
3874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MARKET NOW on: April 22, 2018, 02:00:50 PM
The market is trending well. The coin on the market increased. Many investors have completely trusted the cryptocurrency market. They trade more and compete more, helping the market grow more and more.
It's good to see the changing trends of the market as it is going green for now. The price had shown some signs of increment and all this is because of the investors who regain their faith in the market. After the past depressing months, the prices now had shown some of the stability and in fact, a deliberate inclination is also observed. And I believe that it will get even stronger and go for a greater value in the upcoming months...

Well we just have to remember that the market can turn in a snap of a finger. Same way when it went up in a few hours, it can also be the other way around. I'm also happy about the current movements especially with my alts though and hopefully this trend can be sustained for a little while more
3875  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: has trading become difficult? on: April 22, 2018, 01:56:16 PM
These days the bitcoin prices are rising and falling over 1000$ in just minutes and have become highly unpredictable way more than before.
Does this make trading more difficult right now?

Trading would be difficult if we don't know how to trade or we don't have knowledge how deal with that specific situation. So if I were you I will research on what was the best way to deal with this situation and of course I need to have a very wise decision when dealing with it.

Well trading has never been an easy venture ever since anyways. The market volatility could go either way in a snap of a finger and even the most experienced trader can't predict how a coin will move a hundred percent.
3876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Traders 'pump And Dump' Cryptocurrencies on: April 22, 2018, 01:52:08 PM
I ever read an article, it said in the trading, some people do the price manipulation (pump or dump), maybe 80 or 85%. They always do that to get the trader.
I also heard it, the most responding Exchanger with this issue is bittrex.
at that time bittrex locked fake accounts coming from different countries to prevent price manipulation by pump or dump.

Well they have to have sufficient number of btcs to move the price. Aside from whales, some telegram groups make use of their members to pump or dump a coin. They take advatage of people who are too lazy to make their own studies
3877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Green days are coming for bitcoin on: April 22, 2018, 01:49:31 PM
I knew this things are coming those believers who kept the faith are the one who can made a profit from this scenario, anyway this is not knew experts and old timers knew that Bitcoin will eventually regain its price and this is what happening right now.

Well it's a small growth but i'm happy because it's steadier this way. Alts are also moving positively so those who didn't listen to doomsayers when the market was red are already reaping profits.
3878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your experience with FOMO (fear of missing out) on: April 22, 2018, 01:47:13 PM

Fear of missing out is familiar to many.
It is known from psychology that fear-based factors also affect people in the crypto market, emotions drive their choices more than intellect.

How have you dealt with FOMO?

Lol i've lost quite a lot with that when i was just a newbie. Even now i still fall prey to it sometimes but there are also instances when fomo allowed me to earn quite a bit. I think it depends on the timing when you'll buy in. If you can buy in during the middle of the pump, then fomoing would still be profitable.
3879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin scarcity on: April 22, 2018, 01:35:38 PM
we see bitcoin today experiencing high fluctuations below and will always drops, probably going back to the point of $ 4500. but if I look with bitcoin stock today which a little again $ 3.5 million , then this condition is not normal. because it should be when bitcoin is scarce, then price and value will quickly rise and higher. but today why down? do we have to wait 1 million bitcoins?
should it happen but we all also can not know for sure the reason that happened but I am sure the price will again creep up and possibly be stable

Lol how can high volatility not be normal. The factors that affect the volatility varies so anything can happen. And there's still a lot of btcs to be mined still so i don't think scarcity is an issue for now.
3880  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Questionable wealth because of Crypto on: April 22, 2018, 01:26:24 PM
A lot depends on the country you live in and how the crypto belongs to your state and many other factors. If the crypt in your country is legal, then you have nothing to fear just pay taxes.

Well is there even a country today that found a way to successfully tax btc yet? As far as i know there's none. And money you put in banks that came from crypto can be questioned especially in big amounts. Banks control the money you put in there anyways that's why a lot of people support this crypto revolution to put control over their money back in their hands
