Jedes mal, nach guten News:  früher war es so, wenn der preis einbrach hat man im forum nachgeschaut welche schlechte nachricht der auslöser gewesen sein könnte. das hat sich nach dem run up im mai 2014 komplett geändert.  |

of all those altcoins i had chosen this one. never touched any of those scamcoins, never gave it a thought. but then i changed my mind and invested in monero. of course, it had to be the one going down so hard. i should have warned you. but hey, the btc i lost via monero are losing value fast also, so loss is getting smaller and smaller  edit: monero is not a scam, didn´t want to imply that. |

Schon tragisch wie Bitcoin und Litecoin heute auf den Sack bekommen und offensichtlich reihenweise in Ripple umgeschichtet wird...
wer investiert in sowas ? wieviele xrp gibt es/wird es geben ? 100 billionen ? da scheint sogar lottospielen eine rationalere alternative zu sein . versteh ich nicht. |

I don't know who the guy is, but selling in Nov 2013 was not a bad call, especially if a guy had use for money in 2014. I'll hope the same does not end up applying to 2015 as well. I also would neither agree nor dis-agree with his contention about protocol level deficiencies. The contention rests very heavily on how Bitcoin is used in native form. If as backing for sidechains, for instance, I would tentatively disagree. If as a native exchange currency for the human inhabitants of planet earth to conduct even a small fraction of their general economic transactions in the 21st century, I could not agree more. edit: slight selling btc on nov. 4th 2013 was actually really bad timing. |

Dann klaue mir erst mal einen Bitcoin, dann kannste ihn mir ja geben.
Bitcoins werden überwiegend in Webwallets verwaltet. Klar kannst Du Deine Coins in einer ColdWallet wegsperren. Nur den Markt machen andere. Menschen auf die jemand wie Du herabblickt. Nur ohne diese "Idioten" wären Deine "kalten" Coins genau nichts wert. Ich finde es moralisch etwas delikat, wenn man nun versucht "normale" Leute mit reinzuziehen aber seit Jahren die Diebstahlproblematik ignoriert und die Opfer nur mit blöden Sprüchen zu Privkeys abspeist, die eh kein normaler Mensch versteht. Klar kann jeder seine Bitcoins selbst verwalten. Es kann auch jeder seine Mails selbst verwalten und die Urlaubsfotos der Familie über einen eigenen Server zur Verfügung stellen. Nur wer macht das wirklich? Und ist es wirklich sinnvoll, wenn Leute Dinge tun ohne zu verstehen was sie tun? Mit ihren gekaperten und App-verseuchten Zombie-Gerätschaften? So ein System wie Bitcoin in der Massenverwendung ist mit dem Sicherheitsleven normaler Leute wie Nitroglycerin. Das geht hoch, wenn man nichts dagegen unternimmt. To the Moon sozusagen. Und nein, ihr könnt das nicht einfach ändern, weil die Welt keine Firma ist und die meisten Computer auf diesem Planeten schlecht, kaum oder gar nicht gewartet sind. Ihr müsst damit umgehen. Und da sehe ich momentan Null Initiative. Man könnte fast glauben die Community wäre schon in Rente. das gox Probleme hatte, dass war doch bekannt. wenn du so ein fan von "ich überlass meine coins (= mein vermögen!) unbekannten Leuten" bist, hättest du wenigstens noch auf 2-3 weitere börsen umschichten können. oder nur die hälfte auf box und der rest selbst kontrollieren. 100% auf eine karte setzen, wieso macht man das ? weil der kurs bei gox ein paar prozentchen höher war ? und: wird bargeld nicht geklaut ? dass dinge gestohlen werden können ist doch nicht den dingen anzulasten. |

Hab ich vorhin auch gelesen. Wahnsinn. In der 20.00 Uhr Tagesschau im TV (hab ich extra deswegen geschaut) kam aber nichts darüber. MS humpelt seit 15 Jahren der Entwicklung hinterher und will jetzt eben auch mal der "Erste" sein. Ganz ähnlich wie DELL. Auch Overstock hat Probleme. PayPal gerät durchs Online-Banking unter Druck u.s.w. Das sind alles Firmen die Probleme haben (oder die glauben sie hätten welche). Unternehmen, die mit ihrem Platz unzufrieden sind, die glauben sie wären "eigentlich" besser als Apple, Google oder Amazon. Bitcoin "bestraft" die "Zuspätgekommenen" (siehe die Verzweifelten Altcoin-Bemühungen einiger hier) und zieht gleichzeitig die "zuspätgekommenen" Konzerne an. Das hat eine gewisse Dialektik. (Und hier bitte nichts persönlich nehmen und Anführungszeichen beachten.) MS prescht vor, um sich als modern zu präsentieren. Aber Geldwäschevorwürfe und Dergleichen, die an Bitcoin abperlen wie Wasser an einer Ente, sind für ein renommiertes Unternehmen wie MS gefährlich. Im Falle eines Falles beenden die ihr Engagement so schnell wieder wie sie es begonnen haben. Und das bleibt dann wiederum sehr viel stärker an Bitcoin haften als der Einstieg. Der letzte Eindruck zählt, umso mehr, wenn er negativ ist. Psychologie. Weiß daher nicht, ob das eine so gute Idee ist vor der Klärung des Gox-Desaster die ersten Blue Chips an Board zu holen. Das kann als Bumerang zurück kommen. Für beide Seiten. microsoft ist zufällig die zweit wertvollste firma des planeten. viel besser geht es doch garnicht. bin mal gespannt, was hier rumgemäkelt wird, wenn die nr 1 (apple) einsteigt. |

i thought this is a forum of bitcoin supporters, a forum where new possibilities can be discussed, a place where newbies can learn. but this one year bear market turned it into an ugly pile of shit.

What's the point of this? Everyone involved in the last few pages have been around long enough to know all the arguments and counterarguments being thrown around. This isn't a discussion about technology and facts, it's just fighting for its own sake.
Don't blame everyone for one silly little troll. Mind you, they don't need to quote her. Anyone knowingly feeding a troll is guilty of the trolls trollery. Which is why they have taken over this little corner of the net. it would be so nice to have the ignore function working in a way that it would automatically *snip* the ignored contend, even if quoted. |

However, it is a whole lot better than any other method of securing your private keys, at the moment, and more convenient to use than paper wallets. And like any other successful hacks, if it was ever to be performed, I can assure you that it would go viral in no time, and everyone would stop using their Trezor - or at least transfer their bitcoins immediately to another type of wallet. Maybe you should design the perfect Hardware wallet and sell it on the market, as a competitor to Trezor. EDIT: And if that was ever to happened, PM me. Not only I would buy a few from you, but I would also invest financially in your company... you cannot argue with a paid troll |

imho it does not make much sense at all to dump the price on the day the auction ends to maybe get a better price. such maneuver only makes sense at the beginning of a betting period, not at the end. if you do it at the end your competing bidders may have put out their bid already and taking that (earlier) exchange rate as basis of their bid.
